The food was wonderful!!! Filling, Delicious, Flavorful, and good portions. The seating outside was nice, and provided shade at each table. The waitress was very prompt, kind, personable and even though she was busy, took great care of us. They accommodated my allergies very well! Although it wasn't listed in the menu that the salmon came with butter so there was one correction but t wasn't the waitresses fault and was all fixed without a second thought.

We are regular visitors and love the great food and good service. I do need to report one problem.....the soups do not rate up to par with the quality of food served. When Scott made the soups, they were great and not all Mexican. I finally found the soup on the menu the other day being Chicken Noodle. I got excited, then disappointed. No flavor, lack of salt...a tasteless broth. It would be nice to have some cream soups. Suggestion: someone who knows how to make soup.

really good food....really really bad service. If you can find a waitress to seat you she'll only come back to take your order and that's about it (even if the place is empty) no drink refills...it's like the staff hides from you. the food was decent and thus the 3 stars.

We were in the area for a few days and luckily stopped here for dinner. It just happened to be the best food we ate from Bend, Redmond, to Sisters. We were greeted and seated immediately and continued to be serviced throughout our meal. The food and drinks were really good. My chicken salad was fresh and plentiful. Looking forward to going back when we're in the area.

I love a good ol' townie bar with bitchin' bar food! As a bartender in a small town, Pump House is a place after my own heart. I had no expectations, as I was in town for a wedding and my host is a Terrebonne resident and he suggested this place. Upon taking a seat at the bar at 10pm, I discover that they're still serving prime rib. Um, SOLD. Prime rib at 10pm at a locals bar, when the servers could've lied and told me they were only serving fried food in the interest of closing their tills in a timely fashion? After driving straight from Portland after work, juicy prime rib soaked in au jus and slathered with horseradish was everything and anything that I desired. Also, worth noting: the service was friendly, and the beers were ice cold. Literally, you can see the beers on top of the bar, chucked into bar-top ice bins and the girls will keep throwing ice on the beers as long as they're open. This is important, and very much appreciated. Good on ya, Pump House! I can't wait to come back.

Food is fantastic, beer and drinks are great, ambiance is perfect. Service is absolutely terrible! Been coming here for 3 years, and everything is great, but they must be always understaffed. It will definitely take you 45 minutes to get a menu and good luck changing any tv to any game at any time. Still my favorite place in central Oregon but the service really is bad enough to drop my rating to a 3.

Pump House is our go-to restaurant whenever we visit my mother in law on cinder butte. They have really great food, have all the sport channels for any game we want to watch. Service has been good every time we have been there.

Loved their baby back ribs. Falling off the bone. Service was OK. Stop there once in awhile for prime rib, or their Bar BQ ribs. Noisy, but you get over it when the food arrives . Thought the Margarita was a little weak.

My uncle brought me here and I had very low expectations, but before even being seated the restaurant had already exceeded them. Great atmosphere, good service, great food. The only reason I'm not considering the service great is because they were busy and the waitress seemed a bit flustered. They have a very extensive menu and I've never heard of anyone being dissatisfied with their meal. I would definitely return.

My nephew told us this place has great prime rib. I'm not a huge prime rib lover, but it sounded kind of good and I was def in the mood for beef. We were there on a Thursday, and it was their "all you can eat" beef ribs night, so my hubby jumped on those and I got the 12 oz prime rib, as red as I could get it. Boy was it red. If it was any more rare I would have had to rekill it. Perfect, and very, very tasty. It came with a side of sauteed veggies and a baked potato. The veggies were pretty tasty also, although the potato was lukewarm at best. Fully cooked, just not at all hot. Hubby's ribs were great, really meaty and tender, and looked like they came off a dinosaur. BIG, and dry seasoned with sauce on the top. Not super saucy, so if you like lots you should ask for some on the side. He doesn't, we like ours more seasoned, so these were just what he wanted. Same side of veggies, same lukewarm baked potato. His was actually less warm than mine :/ The meat was the star attraction, who really cares about the potatoes anyway, right? Can't wait till go through Terrebonne again!

As far as I could tell is the Food and Service was "OK" Nothing great and nothing bad. If you are in the area and or having drinks at the bar.... Then I would say it would be a good place to eat...... But if you are traveling from another area (IE: Redmond/Bend) then it is just your basic American food joint.

Stopped in for lunch after a visit to Smith Rock State Park on a Sunday. It was pretty busy and, to be fair, we were a large party (7) without any advance reservations. The food was great! At our table we had several burgers, the turkey avocado bacon burger, and the prime rib sandwich and everyone was happy with their meals. The only complaint was that the service was somewhat slow and neglectful. At first, they completely lost the order of one of our party but I must say they recovered fairly quickly and had it out in 5 minutes. However, there were a couple of sneers from one of the waitresses when she saw us walk in and whenever we asked for something. Maybe they were understaffed, but it made us feel like she didn't want us there. I'll try them again some time to see if it was a one-time thing or an ongoing issue.

Always, the service has been stellar. The food is good and priced fairly. Great place for lunch; never had dinner here, yet. UPDATE: Had dinner there and breakfast and lunch now several times. Consistent good food and good prices, with stellar service. Go there.

Let me start by saying my climbing friend Chuck and I had an epic day at Smith Rock before ending up at the Pump House. That being said, the service was pretty good (at the bar). The atmosphere is sports bar and steakhouse.

Showed up almost at closing and they rocked it! Had oysters and loved them. Hunters sandwich, shaved prime rib amazing bread. The staff was great. Eating here again. Finally a good choice when going this route!!

This isn't my first experience with The Pump House. I was craving a good non-fast food burger. I decided to try the pump house burger which had horse radish mayo. I'm glad I did. It was a very yummy burger. I very much appreciate that the meat was not pre processed and frozen. I would have given this restaurant five stars if it wasn't for the fries. There was a fish after taste. This tells me that the kitchen does not change the fryer oil as often as they should. The menu rightly brags of the local beef. Perhaps they can switch out the processed frozen fries for fresh made to order potato chips using local potatoes? If you are a true wine snob, then choose the wine from the local winery Maragas. I had the cab, and plan a visit to the winery in madras as a result. Warning.... Know your wine. Because this restaurant/bar markets to the locals. Who seem to be bear and whiskey types. This community is a red neckish town. I had to listen to several people crack homophobic jokes. I'm trying to not assume it was due to the HRC sticker on my car . :/ the staff is excellent. It's only the fries and lack of wine knowledge that I give it three stars.

Yelped this place on the way to Bend and it was the best choice we made. Everyone was so friendly. They recommended the clam chowder which they rarely have which was soooo good. We each had a cup but should've had a bowl then I ordered the Oneil burger and hubby order the Haus burger. Both were a good choice. Keep up the good work!!

We had been biking around the surrounding area of Smith Rock and was terribly hungry and dehydrated (it was a hot day!) Pump House Bar and Grill was near the border of Smith Rock and the town so out of convenience, we dined here for lunch. It was around 430p and it was quite empty. The staff was lovely and attentive. I shared a full rack rib which came with potatoes and coleslaw. Nothing extraordinary, but it was delicious. The meat was not drowning in sauce and it was falling off the bone. Overall, a very satisfying meal, enough for two people. The strawberry lemonade was perfect for the weather. I also had a rootbeer which came in the bottle. They seem to have an extensive menu including specials, prime ribs, chicken etc. On a certain day, there is an all-you-can-eat bbq rib. If I were in the area, I'd return to this restaurant.

Really good bar and grill...3 of us had sandwiches that were very good. Service was excellent. Lots of good entrees, too, from the looks of what others were eating. And a good beer selection for a rural kind of place.

After having an issue with poor service over a year ago, we chose to give it another chance. After standing at the bar for a minute with only a couple people at tables, I ask we they are still serving. 5 workers behind the bar could not answer me yes or no. Extremely poor customer service.

Stopped here for lunch a couple of times in the past month and never been disappointed with food or service. Menu is large and features a great selection of burgers and sandwiches along with a nice dinner menu. Great place to get to if you're staying at Crooked River or Remond or the Smith Rock area. Food is well prepared and fairly priced. French fries are great!
