To be fair we didn't stay for food. We may have come back for food... but if the service we received as tap costumers is any indication, we will not be back. After hearing a few things about The Gallon house, we decided that on our day trip up to Silverton, we'd stop by to fill our growlers before heading back to Salem. Their taps are, in a a word, inefficient and it was clear that the two members of the staff who were there had no idea how they were supposed to work. Two out of a three growlers had a head on em like a new born babe - huge. At least half the bottle. So we decided we'd wait because the waitress up and left us there with the bottles under the tap. Sure, she'd come back to try and fill them up again but quickly decide, "No, that won't work" (her words) and leave. Thirty minutes went by and we got an up close and personal look of how things went. People coming to the bar counter to ask for tables to be cleaned, drink orders of water, things that should have been done without asking. More than once they dropped things. Including an ice shovel that, had I not been watching the bartender when he looked up and caught my eye, he would have happily thrown back in the ice. End of the excursion we left with a full growler (a cider, not much head on it) and two half filled growlers. Two stars because she only charged us for two. I'm sure the food is fine, but the customer service is appalling and the tap service is clearly only equipped to deal with the mason jar pints they sell themselves.

Great nachos. Amazing jalapeño bacon macaroni, we added sausage and it was great. I had the wrangler sandwich. Food was hot, came quickly and staff was pleasant. Had to ask to have Sunday night NFL put on TV. Guys behind bar did not smile once during our visit, mostly just gave the stink eye. Big fish in a very small pond scenario.

The tap list was impressive for such a small town, but that was the only good part. We had four different waiters coming over to our table over the course of the evening, although one was lost and came to our table by accident. We ordered an appetizer that took 20 mins to arrive, and let me tell you about it: it was a hot Swiss cheese dip with bread and apple for $13. Sounds good, right? Wrong. It was a 4oz ramekin of cheese sauce that had developed a layer of film over the top (it was liquid and room temp). It had a quarter of a Granny Smith apple next to it that had browned. It came with cold and mangled sausage that had clearly been cut hours earlier and reheated in a microwave. The bread tasted like par-baked store bought bread that never finished baking. And it came with undercooked mushrooms that look like they had been factory cut and left to get warm by absorbing the heat of the microwaved sausage. It was gross... And expensive. I want my money back.

We had a terrible experience here, and I would not recommend going. After getting us water and taking our orders, our waitress disappeared for at least 30 minutes. I had to flag a waiter down to get refills on drinks. Then, after another 15 minutes of waiting, they finally brought our food. One woman in our group was given the wrong food, so she sent it back. Everyone at the table had finished their meals before her correct order came out, and we had to flag down another waiter to ask where her food was. Food was typical bar food. Service was terrible.

Went here for a beer and a to go order. The atmosphere was friendly and people were having a great time! They have a great selection of beers on tap, and I was impressed with the variety of brewery choices. If I'd had my growler, I would have filled it. Great place to stop if you're passing through Silverton!

A cool little spot in an amazing small town. The place is very warm and welcoming and a local hangout spot. With a huge variety of local craft beers on tap you will surly be able to find something to enjoy. They run many activities throughout the week like trivia and beer tastings. The menu is appropriately sized and contains burgers to nachos. TV's on the wall let you watch the game too! A must stop.

We live in Silverton and enjoy supporting our local businesses so we decided to try Gallon House for their breakfast this morning. The prices are reasonable, the place is fairly clean. It was a bit too cool to sit on the patio for our meal. Breakfast options were good, I chose the traditional eggs Benedict, my husband chose the bacon waffle. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our order, we were the only people in the place. My breakfast was good, not stellar, could have used some seasoning on the eggs and home fries. Yes, there was paprika but some salt is also necessary. The bacon waffle had good flavor but was clearly undercooked and somewhat doughy tasting. We may go back but find the breakfast food about par for the lunch/dinner menu, okay food but nothing so tasty you can't wait to have it again. Update: after eating at Gallon House I was sick the remainder of the day. Yuck!

Outdoor seating on a summer afternoon was delightful. Cider on tap was great for me, but our food was lackluster. Sandwiches were dry and flavor was drab. I'd oh back for drinks and patio seating but not for the food.

A great little place for burgers and beers after hiking in Silver Falls State Park. The fries are awesome. It's standard pub food and a casual, friendly vibe. Good selection of kids meals. We'll definitely stop here again!

We waited 30 minutes for our appetizer and another 30 for our meal. The place wasn't very busy. Had to get our own fork from a tub on the bar. The folks near us got here before us and got some of their food after us. The burger was good though.

First I'm here so far... enjoying my drink and the atmosphere. Out of Omissions blue label...that was a bummer. Bartender friendly. I Dont plan on having food so I can't rate that. 2 big screen TVs. Great place!

Best service I've had in a long time at any restaurant or bar!! The bartender was professional and made a killer traditional whiskey sour. We had the sliders and couldn't have been more satisfied with the flavor, price and service here!! We didn't even dip into the numerous beers and ciders they have on tap. We will be back again!

Came in for lunch and the service was really slow. Both restrooms were out of service and they have Port-a-Potties outside. I asked where I can wash my hands, and the staff looked at me like it was a really difficult question and they looked at each other and said "I don't know, what was the verdict on how we should handle this". I'm only asked to wash my hands before I eat, they finally allowed me to use their sink- but it was a huge deal for them. I hope they wash their hands. They forgot half my order and the entire order from a friend at our table. Ordering beer took a really long time for them to get- it wasn't even busy. I mentioned to the waitress that we were missing part of my order, and to not worry about it and she stated she will take it off our bill-it wasn't. When I brought it to her attention, she was confused and told me she took it off. I showed her that it was not, and she was still confused but eventually corrected it. Another friend was charged for an extra beer and realized it after his card was charged. The waitress told him there's nothing she can do but give him a beer now. We asked her if we can use it for her tip, she apologized and said it was her first week (so we felt bad) but no as they have no cash in the place and they have to bring in their own cash from home to make change. We won't be back.

Really love the Gallon House. Good beer, nice atmosphere and pretty good food. Pub grub with a few interesting sandwiches and burger of the day. Lots to choose from beer wise! Great place to watch a game or catch up with friends!

I have been a resident in Silverton for 40 years. The Gallon House is a newer bar/restaurant. I normally go to Macs Place but decided to try something new. My daughters and I went for dinner on a Saturday around 7:00pm. At first we were very pleased, the server was friendly, and very attentive, which at Macs Place the service is very slow. We ordered an appetizer and our meals. It took nearly 30 minutes to get a plate of Hummus. Then our meals followed quickly. I wish they could stagger the appetizer, side salad and the actual meal a little better, I don't want my appetizer at the same time as my meal. It took a long time to get our meals after we ordered. The appetizer was really yummy. I ordered sliders, 2 chicken and one burger slider. I ate the chicken slider which was yummy, as I take a bite of my burger slider I get a long brown hair stuck between my mouth and the burger. I showed the waitress the 6" strand of hair hanging from my burger. She quickly apologized and in an apathetic manner. Basically it was not a big deal because she would comp the dish. Regardless of comping me for a $6 plate, I still had someone else's hair in my mouth. After that all of us lost our appetite. We decided we were done and went up to the cash register to pay. The waitress actually asked, "how was everything else"... I said, "I had someone else's hair in my mouth, not great", she says, "but we will comp that dish for you". She said it like they were doing me some sort of favor. Like $6 is a fair trade for someone else's hair in my mouth. I told her that it was our first visit and I understand it's a bar, but I've been eating at Macs forever and never had a hair in my mouth. I mentioned that obviously someone in the back has long hair that isn't in a net. As we were standing at the cash register, several other meals came out and were placed in front of us while we were waiting, without supervision of a worker. GROSS... where is your heat lamp by the kitchen? Who wants their food set on the bar counter in front of a cash register, by the front door to await a waitress to pick it up? I could had accidentally sneezed, coughed or dropped a hair right on those meals. When we walked outside and got into our car, we noticed the door to the kitchen is wide open, while they are grilling meats. The guy back there supervising the grill was walking around sweeping leaves up off of the floor, that had blown in from the open door. We watched him handle the broom, the garbage can, and wipe his hands on his butt. No gloves, he had a bandana on but no hair net, another worker appeared in there and had a full beard with no net and again no gloves. The hair probably wasn't from the guy with the bandana or from the beard guy, I didn't see the other workers in the back, but Im guessing one had long brown hair... either that or the hair blew up into my burger from the ground when someone was sweeping around open food. I took a photo of the grill, from my car. I wish I had gotten a photo of the hair. Dear Gallon House... when you feed someone a hair, $6 doesn't make up for it! You are not doing me a favor by not charging me for the food that had a hair in it because I would had refused to pay for that dish regardless.... but if you had wanted to keep a customer, you should had picked up my 3 sodas or better yet, my entire meal. You've lost a customer on a first time visit, if this is how you do business, you won't stay open in Silverton for long. I felt ill all evening and I will be calling to speak to an owner or manager for a refund of our entire meal. **amazing... after writing my review I went and read other reviews. Seems I am NOT the only person to get hair in their food and not the only person to complain about the amount of time it takes to get the food after ordering... and Im not the only one who noticed the orders of food are set on a counter in front of the cash register and front door. THIS PLACE IS LOOKING TO GET PEOPLE SICK

Great new menu with meat and vegan/veggie options. Great beer selection. The tap list is around 29 taps with both craft beers and ciders. Great atmosphere. Every Thursday featured microbrewery tasting with a raffle. Will be back!

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got around to it, I think it was their cute patio that drew me in. Well, not so impressed!! Went on a Monday night & unfortunately the patio didn't have any open tables...it happens. We took a seat inside instead. It was a hot day and there didn't seem to be any air on so it was a little stuffy and kind of hot. Sat down at the table thinking someone would come take our order but no one even acknowledged us, so we went up to the bar to get some drinks. They were slow to make them and not very friendly while we waited. As we waited I watched a waiter or other bartender across the room (I think it was where they pick up food but kind of oddly located so not positive) stick his finger into what I think was a salad and then proceed to lick his finger and carry on what he was doing...gross! I ordered a shaken drink and as the girl at the bar made it I watched her stick her nose up to the shaker and sniff it...and then stick her finger into the sugar for the rim and lick it (I guess she couldn't figure out which was salt and which sugar?). It's bad enough that I saw one worker doing something like that but two was surprising and gross!! We headed back to our table and sat there probably a good hour to hour and a half and not once did anyone come by and offer us a drink refill or ask if we wanted to order food (luckily we weren't planning on food anyways)! Cute little place but pretty disappointing service!!!

We go to Gallon House at least once a week and have never been disappointed. They have a great selection of micro-brews and very good specials for pub food such as Monday night wings for 25 cents. The service has always been great for us and we will continue to drink and dine here as often as we can.

Beer selection/quality is a 5. Food is a 3.5 and the fact that they keep the place weirdly silent to force you to play the ridiculous juke box gives the atmosphere a 1. I'd say overall a it's a solid 3

We stayed in Silverton last weekend and were looking for a good lunch. Stopped in to the Gallon House and had an amazing meal! Best Burger Ever!!! The Gallon House burger includes a high quality beef patty on a great bun for a start. Then the fun begins... bacon, cheese, grilled onions are a nice prelude. Then the Gallon House burger goes absolutely insane... a fried egg and a slice of ham!!! It blew my taste buds away!!! Top it off with their amazing list of beers and ciders and the Gallon House is off the charts. Wish we lived in Oregon.

This review is a based on customer experience (or lack thereof) having not eaten or ordered any drinks at The Gallon House. We left before even being greeted...because no one ever did while we sat at the bar. I completely understand if it's busy and there's many patrons to attend to, but when there's 3 staff that walk by you without a hello or I'll be right with you AND there's less than 8 customers in the bar, there's a problem. So we solved it ourselves by taking our business to another local bar down the road. For people who are passing through town - there are definitely other bars/cafes in the area to check out if you want to grab a drink or bite to eat and get decent service. **The space itself seemed okay with plenty of seating and a covered outdoor patio, so perhaps it could be a place for large parties to gather...if you have the patience.

Rad little new-ish gem in Silverton providing some fine brews and food! Nice interior with seating a plenty including bar top, tables, outdoor covered seating with heaters. The décor is prohibition era pub style. I experienced good, friendly service that was prompt and attentive. I was told the beer choices in some detail and was given a menu which I was impressed with. I went with a flatbread and red ale to wrap up my work day. I like the ale very much, however, the flatbread could have stayed another minute or two in the oven. The dough was slightly al dente and sort of fell apart on me, but the flavors were all there and it ended up being a pretty tasty flatbread regardless of the flaw. I heard from others that the burgers are great here as well. They have a digital jukebox here which is pretty cool. They also have karaoke and trivia nights from what I was told which would seem pretty fun in this place! I would come here with friends or coworkers after work for a couple cold ones. I'll be back on my next trip through Silverton!

The food has been good? but it keeps getting better each visit. Last visit I ordered the Gallon Burger last visit and was amazing. Also, thank you Nate for running my glasses back to me when I left them next to the check. I really appreciated your service. Thank you.

Truly 2.5 stars as the service was pretty much the worst I've ever seen for lunch at nearly $15/person. Servers could've cared less about any of the patrons... I actually saw someone knock over there beverage and they actually went back and got the mop themselves and mopped it themself! The food was really good however. I ordered a burger which I requested to have blue cheese and avocado.... It came out however as a cheeseburger with bacon and blue cheese crumbles. I wish I had the avocado but really didn't miss it as the burger was delicious. It was huge for the size and came with a knife in it as pictured in other reviews. The side salad served with it was simple - it was fresh; Dijon vinaigrette tasted pretty good; came with one tomato slice. Incredibly difficult to get refills on water or any other beverage, table was sticky, the place looked dirty - there were fingerprints on the windows, lip prints next to our table inside on the window... Napkin dispensers empty on several tables. Yesterday's sign still up referring to Mondays special.... May return but not for lunch and would probably only dine if a different server. Clearly 0 management taking place today. The girls working were lack luster, uninterested and really didn't appear to want to be there. They spent more time drinking beverages behind the bar than tending to anybody in the restaurant or on the patio.

Sadly, we gave Gallon House a second chance. Unfortunately it was with our out of town guests and we we embarrassed by the terrible service and everyone's awful food. It took nearly 45 minutes for the food to arrive. It is worth noting that we were the first lunch patrons, so it wasn't busy at the time. My cubano was dry and so cold the cheese didn't melt. The other food (french dips and burger and sliders) were all dry and cold. No melted cheese and the meats all seemed leftover or something. I'm not sure what was going on. We were not offered any explanation or apology for the slow kitchen, nor did the waiter apologize when my mom asked to have her sliders reheated. GH, you have lost more local customers. We should be your happy base customers. Never again...

I have to say that I'm shocked at some of the bad reviews this place is getting! I was in town visiting friends recently and stopped into The Gallon House several times over the course of my weeklong stay. Our first trip was on a Sunday for lunch and the food was fantastic. I had the stuffed mushroom burger which was cooked perfectly. The waitstaff were all friendly and personable and very attentive! Our second trip was a few days later on Tuesday night for their trivia night which was really fun. The girl hosting it was really upbeat and funny as she went through the questions in each category. I was really impressed with their selection of beers on tap and being from the east coast I enjoyed trying different beers from some of the Oregon breweries. Kasey, the manager, was extremely knowledgable about the different beer selections and also told me that they host beer tasting events every other week which I definitely plan on coming in for the next time I'm in town. The last time I was in town The Gallon House wasn't there and we would usually end up at Macs Place which is mediocre at best. All in all I really enjoyed coming to this place, the staff (and even the other patrons) make you feel welcome and the food and drink offerings are great. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

Great sweet potato fries and a great selection of beer. A chalk sign outside would be helpful though as walking inside from the patio is somewhat annoying. Service has always been good here and I'm enjoying their new menu items.

The food here is quite good. My husband, daughter and I have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed. The service was a little rough the first few times but has really improved. Nate was our last server and was very attentive! The menu has wide selection of options and there are tons of good beers on tap. This is definitely not your average bar food. I highly recommend the Hawaiian Plate, all the burgers are fantastic, the french dip, and the quinoa salad!

Stopped in here after a hike at Silver Falls, greeted and seated right away. Ordered sodas and lunch, then read the reviews on Yelp and got very worried, like I wanted to leave before our food got here worried. But I stayed quiet and waited patiently for a disaster to occur... Luckily no disaster! Our food arrived as ordered and tasted great! Cubano sandwich, Pear and Nut salad, Grilled Chicken with Asparagus entrée and Cheeseburger Sliders, so glad I didn't give up too soon. Our waitress checked on us several times, refilled our drinks as requested even when not requested, I simply can't find any faults with any part of our experience. Here's hoping everyone else has the same experience we did. Sorry the photo is of our eaten food, I wasn't sure it was great until after I ate it!

Gyros sandwich comes with two tiny, skinny pieces of gyro. Um.... really? The rest is packed with lettuce and pitta bread. So you pay 9 bucks for nothing. Their fries were good at one point--skinny and tasty. Now they are mushy and gross. What a waste of money. Don't eat here.

Had a great time! We were greated very quickly. We were offered a few beer tasters which is nice so that we didn't have to ask. They have a solid tap list selection! Server was very attentive and the food was awesome. The pulled pork was great and the sweet potato fries were awesome. My husband had the blackened burger with a turkey patty and the potato barrels. He thought they were great. Perfect meal after a perfect hike at silver falls.

The Gallon house is a great place to hang out in Silverton. They have probably the best beer selection in town, and a fun environment to hang out in. (If the weather is nice, the patio is a great place to either hang out with friends or create a great lunchtime workspace with your laptop.) The food is decent -- not stellar, but definitely good pub fare. I recommend either the daily stuffed burger, or the Gallon house Greek Salad with Gyro meat.

Recently The Gallon House went under some modifications. There is a greater now (which is nice cause then the lazy waitresses know someone's arrived) and the menu has changed. Some good additions but they are still serving food that tastes like left-overs. I only gave this one star because of the beer. Which is marginal. I JUST went in to fill a growler and was informed the beer would be warm. They were fixing the cooler. I told the waitress I was fine with that, as I had a bit of a drive to get home. But this lazy ass wouldn't even see what was on tap because she didn't want to work. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP. If you're like I king for something to eat in Silverton I'd recommend McDonalds over this crap-hole.

Stopped at this burger pub after a trip to Silver Falls. It's a decent choice if you're hungry and want to sit outside. Pros: cheerful waitstaff; decent meatloaf; nice selection of microbrews; quite nice pavered patio out front where we could have our dog, buffered by landscaping from the sidewalk with pots of flowers scattered thought. Cons: very slow service - understaffed, I'm guessing. Saw a group give up and leave after a while. Food was warm not hot when it arrived. And you have to get up and go inside to view the drink and beer list on the electronic board, it's not updated in their website and not findable on their Facebook page, despite their menu directing you to it. I'd recommend something low tech like a chalk board on the patio, since it evidently changes so often.

  • Kimberly M.

Wow...I'm actually impressed with the disaster I just experienced. The server was rolling silverware while eating a burger...that's just wrong. DO NOT order the $11 "local artisan" meat and cheese plate because you'll get half-melted cheddar, provolone and PEPPER JACK slices from the grocery store. The meat was even worse...gray rolls of roast beef slices, rolled ham (?) slices and salami slices all warm and clearly to be used for a sandwich. It was amazing. After one bite we returned it and asked for our tab. The one star is for the fact that the manager comped our whole bill, no questions asked, and there is a pretty good beer selection. Would only go back for drinks, maybe.

Wandered in on a warm Saturday night with my parents and husband. We chose outdoor seating, and were promptly attended to. The downside included that they were out of the food my mom wanted, and the beer my dad wanted. However, we very much enjoyed what we did order. Given that I went to high school in Silverton, it was also fun running into a few people I'd known. Pretty easy to catch people walking by from the patio area! My mac n cheese was very filling--I shouldn't have finished it!--but also VERY good. It was jalapeno bacon mac n cheese, and while I like spicy food, I don't like it when "spicy" is the only thing I can taste. They nailed the combo here--left my tongue burning just a little, but I could still taste the rest of the food. I also had a bite of my husband's peanut butter burger. I wasn't a fan, but I don't think that's an indictment of Gallon House--I just don't think I like peanut butter on my beef! My husband was satisfied though.

What a great place to have a beer and a nice lunch after a trip to the Gardens near by. Easy parking, great service and a ton of choices. We sat out side, had a nice patio table and enjoyed a nice sunny day. Sliders were a hit an so was the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich.

Used to be better, probably wont go back. Went last nite, not extremely busy, most outside tables full, inside empty except for a half dozen people at the bar. Took me 14 minutes to get a second beer. Bartender was more interested in entertaining/talking to people at the bar than serving drinks. Out server was very inexperienced or she would have said something to him. It took a long time to get my first beer so I thought i would time the second order, that's why I know it took 14 minutes. Bathroom was disgusting, dirty sink and floors. The place seems to have no management that cares. Hopefully someone who cares reads this and makes some changes.

My husband and I stopped in around 6pm on a weekday. It was exactly what we needed at the time; quick food service and a great burger. I had the pulled pork sliders - not too messy and very tasty! My husband had a burger that he was happy with as well. We sat outside, which was great for the warm day, but the view of the parking lot took away from the look and feel of the place. Only negative - our server was very distracted by a table of 3 gentlemen who appeared to be locals; it took too long for her to remember to bring us our bill. Overall, good food, great beer selection (be sure to get your number though - it appears the taps are not labeled and this seems to frustrate the service crew).

You would think a visitor could get a welcome and a smile, but no such luck at this restaurant. I decided to munch on some nachos, but that was more like unmelted shredded cheese that the chef didn't keep in the oven long enough. Good luck to locals but visitors should choose another venue.

Would've loved to try the food and hang out here but me and my boyfriend sat in a half empty restaurant with menus for over 20 minutes while waiters sat outside texting on their phones. When we walked over to Mac's down the street someone took our drink order before we even sat down and the couple sitting next to us said they came from Gallon House and had the same experience. some server training could really benefit this place.

I am so torn as I write this review. The beer list was decent and the cocktail pitchers were awesome! A few of the people in our group got burgers which were decent. We ordered the artichoke dip appetizer which tasted like melted cream cheese with little bits of artichoke. Pretty disappointing. I ordered the crab cakes. They had so much breading they tasted like patties made of thanksgiving stuffing! There was very little crab and the cakes were mealy. They looked like they'd been cooked in a panini press. I thought maybe I would move on to black bean salad that came with the dish. It was mostly black beans, a little bit of corn, no flavor and it soaked the entire plate with a soupiness that ruined my last hope for any form of dinner - the salad. The salad would have been fine had it not been for the bean broth it was sitting in. My husband politely mentioned to the server how terrible my food was and she could clearly see the food had only been picked at. She stated we shouldn't pay for the part we didn't eat and gave us half off. A little weak in my opinion. I would go here for the drinks again but wouldn't ever order food here again.

Great space and the menu had some great looking options but I after 20 minutes of waiting without being so much as greeted by a server, my girlfriend and I walked out. It was slightly busy, but the four servers all had time sit down play with their cell phones right in front of customers. I was sitting in plain view and didn't even have a water in front of me, it was painfully obvious that we needed our order taken. We walked out feeling insulted and hungry, and still, nobody noticed. After reading the reviews I can see I'm not alone in this experience. It's bizarre that the manager lets this behavior continue and I suspect that no one there has any front of the house restaurant experience. This place might have good food, but won't ever succeed unless they they address their VERY serious customer service issues. Train your servers or get some in their that know what their doing. Until then I'm taking my $60 tab and 20% tips to Macs.

The good: friendly service, good beer list. The bad: get ready, there's a lot. Our appetizer finally arrived less than one minute before our meals. The chipotle chicken triangles were very messy and delivered without plates. BTW, it's spelled chipotle, not chipoltle(as seen on the menu). The stuffed burger was a strong contender for worst burger of the year. It was advertised as cumin gouda stuffed. The burger patty was much smaller than the bun. No flavor. No cumin. No gouda. Tomatoes were unripe. Chips were boring plain old kettle chips. My brother's TBA sandwich was a standard boring grocery store roll with standard boring prepackaged deli meat and cheese with all the avocado on one half of the sandwich. The side salad was just plain field greens pulled from a bag and plopped on a plate. One small slice of unripe tomato on the side. On top of all this, everything is very overpriced. The burger would have been $5-$6 practically anywhere else, but $10 here. For four pints, one appetizer and three sandwiches, we paid almost $70. TL;DR: friendly service, horrible overpriced food. "I just burped and was disappointed all over again."

Excellent service, delicious and quick food, and an impressive tap list. I came while a large party of roughly 40 people had the two servers and one bartender (co-owner Ryan) doing all the pours and mixed drinks, keeping up rapport with regulars and newcomers like myself.

First time visit here. Atmosphere and tap list were great. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great and engaging. We ordered the nachos appetizer and the wait was very long (about 35 minutes). We were told it was because it was a new menu. We got chicken on it that was too spicy for our tastes and there wasn't enough cheese. Our bartender did comp our nachos and we will try this bar again.

We have been to this restaurant before and the service has never been great, each time we go back we think maybe it will improve, unfortunately not the case today. We were seated inside and it was not busy, there were only a few people at the bar and one other table. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to get our 1st drinks which is ridiculous considering how slow it was. Once our drinks arrived, we noticed that the jack and coke we ordered was cloudy looking. After tasting it we decided to say something to our waitress who did bring a new drink then admitted to spilling some beer in the jack and coke on her way to the table. Next we ordered our food. The appetizer came out with the food rather than before, the food was warm not hot, but other than that the food was ok. Shortly after we got our food the waitress brought us our bill then pretty much ignored us. We wanted another drink so we flagged down a different server and ordered "another round" which was interpreted as the same beer we ordered previously (which was our bad I guess). The beer had not shown up yet and we told the waitress we wanted different beer not the same which she then had to make a big deal about how when we said we wanted "another round" they thought we wanted the same beer so she had already charged us for it and then asked if we planned on drinking those beers which we declined and seemed to aggravate her. Annoyed, the waitress took our new beer order and we got the second round a bit faster than the first. No waters were served at any point either just fyi. We finished our drinks and waited for our new bill... And waited.... And waited.... Our waitress was busy doing.... Nothing. We started to get up and finally she came over to let us pay. We were overcharged for a beer and didn't care at this point, just ready to leave. To sum it up.... Beer selection is decent, food is ok, service sucks, get some new staff that cares about getting a decent tip!

The bartender was awesome and gave us samples of beer on tap until we found one we liked. The outdoor patio is nice. The staff was friendly but unfortunately the food is terrible. We ordered a flatbread pizza. The portion was small for a 10.00 pizza. The crust was soggy and the pizza tasted exactly like they had just microwaved it. The mozzarella cheese was not even melted. Not impressed at all. Will not be back on my next visit to Silverton.

Bartenders had no idea what they were doing. Gave us a bottle of white wine covered in cream or milk and didn't even offer a chilling mechanism for it once it was opened. Also, female bartenders were on their cell phones behind the bar, extremely distracted. The soup of the day was French potato, The bartender told us it was basically French onion but made with potatoes instead of onions. It was actually a bowl of potatoes mixed with canned peas and what tasted like Lipton onion soup mix, topped with some kind of shredded cheese. Really sick. The staff all talks/gossips with each other way more than they interact with the guests. The tatted up female bartender rolls her eyes at her co workers on the regular. Cool location that has so much potential but it's just not happening

Just moved to the area and although reviews online seemed only average, we decided to try this place our first night in town because it looked nice and they have outdoor seating. We went in with an open mind, and I'm really glad we did. The Hot Stuff Flatbread Pizza was seriously fantastic, and my wife's Bacon Jalapeño Mac was really good too. Our server was new, but did a nice job and was very friendly. My only complaint regarding the meal would be that it did take a while for our food to come out after we ordered. They have a good selection of beer, especially IPAs. However, they only post their beer selection inside, so we had to leave our patio table to view the list on the wall. They said they do this because they like to change up their beer selection regularly, which is great, but it would be REALLY nice to at least print up paper lists so that I can also get some information (IBUs, ABV, and a description) about the beers, instead of just a list with Brewery, Beer Type and Name. Even worse, the list is low on the wall and right behind a table, requiring you to stand uncomfortably close to anyone seated there. All in all, we were really happy with our first visit, and we will definitely be back. With a few minor tweaks this place could be truly 5-star.

Not impressed. The restaurant was not busy and it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks. The appetizer came or with the food and was very cold. Ordered the stuffed burger which wasn't stuffed. It had one mushroom in it. Service was OK but not anything I would come back for!

Ate lunch here today. I had a good cubano sandwich my only complaint is that the roasted pork wasn't shredded very well and I had some bites with too much roasted pork to chew, but otherwise it was a very tasty sandwich. My friend had the cobb salad and raved over the blue cheese crumbles. It was a good spot to have lunch. Would return if in the area again.

Rolled in for dinner with my wife on a Saturday night, so the place was fairly busy. Found a decent tap line-up and reasonable menu for pub fare. Ordered beers, a panini-type sammich and a burger with the extras of fried egg, BBQ sauce and bacon. Everything pretty much acceptable up to this point. As we sat around their front door chatting, we observed that the door was open and there was a chilly breeze blowing in. Then we saw that when food orders were ready they were brought out and set on a counter right in front of the open door. There was no warming light or anything and the staff was not very attentive to the food sitting there. Some of it sat for almost five minutes. Luckily, when our food was ready, it didn't have a long wait in the breeze. The burger was over-cooked and dry. The BBQ sauce that I'd ordered was not on the burger, which would have helped. No one brought, or even offered to bring, any ketchup or mustard. In fact, no one came by to check on us or our order for quite a while after the food arrived until I'd pretty much choked down the last bite of my mediocre burger. It wasn't our server to checked in on us, but rather what appeared to be the bar manager, who happened by after finishing his smoke out front. My wife's panini was okay, apparently. Nothing inspiring. My wife and I were pretty disappointed in the place and ready to move on, so we were not really in the mood to explain our frustration with the food or the staff. I probably won't go back and probably won't recommend it to friends.

I'm going to be brief on this one because it's a bar & grill. So seriously, how complex can it be? It's amazingly clean! The bar staff and servers are positively awesome; really friendly, fast and good natured. They even remember what drinks you like from a previous visit. The hummus was disappointing and really bland. It's Oregon and they can do better with a different supplier for that. Plus the pita was cold and tasteless. I liked the salad of fresh greens, cucumbers and chunky tomatoes with their yummy garlicy Ranch dressing. Veggie burgers are a solid choice for vegetarians with lots of fun fixin's and good fresh bun. Finally, the beer and cider selection is kick *ss! Best of all: free wifi for those of you on the go and in need of a spot to work. They let you work while you eat without side glances. I really like it here and I'll be back.

Aside from patio and beer selection, ALL BAD SLOW. We chose it for the patio but it took FOREVER to get our food. When they did, they only brought my food and it took another 10 minutes to get everyone else's. So awkward to sit there with one plate, meanwhile my bread is getting soggier and soggier. To top it off, my bland lobster roll had a hair in it!!! If they hadn't comped it for that I would have had to pay $15.50 for a soggy, lame meal. I've never had a table tell the waiter they're all done with their food and don't want boxes and have him just leave the food sitting there until we left! I couldn't believe it when I watched two more patrons sit down in front of our old plates! Just atrocious! And even then they were still slow to clear it away. They really need to get it together! Just not a good spot.
