I recently took my granddaughter here, I was so disappointed. Most of the games were not working and they did not have staff enough to help you. I wanted to buy coins to play the machines, they were so short staffed one of the employees told me to use the machine, I had to purchase $10.00 worth and most of the machine were not even working. I have been there before with my granddaughter but this was the worst service or should I say lack of service that I had seen. Not impressed will probably never go back will go to Big Al's instead!

We love Safari Sams!! Great for adults to hang and enjoy a beer and watch a game...while the kids play and have fun. Pizza is AMAZING!! We even order it go when we want pizza at home :) Our daughter does the after school program there and Summer Camp too!! It is a nice and clean place... with a very NICE and great at communication staff. HIGHLY recommend for all the above... eat there and let the kids play... get pizza to go.. and for child care. Thanks Safari Sams--

Its a great play place, but the cost is high and the food is ok, but also expensive. Sometimes the $50-$75 you have to spend here is worth it just for the energy the kids exert and the break I get while they play play play... They are overly strict about bringing in your own anything... even water. I usually bring my own water bottle (empty) and fill it up there. They don't seem to have a problem with that. They offer coffee, beer and wine too.

Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting. The up keep at this place is terrible. Just about every single game that gave tickets was broken, or was jammed, or just plain wasn't working. I put in money to several games, got no tickets, said something and was given a 20 ticket card. If the coins I'd put into the machines, had given tickets I would have gotten a lot more tickets than 20. One of the guys that was fixing the machines had said to me, after I asked him to fix it, that he would give me the tickets that popped out. But no, instead he gave then to another person who he had already given a couple stacks to. At the end, this person got "the hook up". I get that there's a party for a specific kid, but if you say you'll come find me and give me the tickets, than go back on your word. That is terrible. Like I said earlier, over half the machines were broken here. Don't waste your money coming here. The food and drinks are terrible, the service is terrible, the machines are broken down and nothing and nobody at this location even begin to know what they are doing. Save your money and go to chuck e cheese. Which sucks too, but not as bad as this place!!!!! I can tell you, I will tell EVERY SINGLE person I meet about how terrible this place is, specially if they have kids.

Surprisingly good pizza and a place for the kids to play all year long, from the awesome indoor jungle gym to black light mini golf to a small selection of arcade game and prizes. Safari Sam's beats out the mouse with a cheesy name any day!

  • Katie Y.

The kids love it. Prices are alright, good selection of food for adults and kids. The only suggestion is that the staff should be more diligent about helping customers at the counter. Other than that, will most likely come again.

Everything is fun for the kids. I would recommend eat before you come the food was nasty. We will be back to play but never to eat. The tables were also very sticky so maybe a little more clean up would make it a better place.

Rite Qik: True family fun! Biggest jungle gym ever! Good food & café drinks. Young staff is good with kids, patient but can be a bit unprofessional. Coin eating games are annoying! Safari Sam's definitely worth a few hours of family fun! We had an absolute fabulous time when my kid has her birthday party here in March. *Staff all seem friendly, kind & patient. *Nice selection of games to play and win tickets. * Mini-golf if your not the gaming type. *Bouncing castles if your kids it to squirrely for golf. *Finally a HUGE jungle gym for when the golfing and gaming have run out and your kid has what seems like 5 hour energy pumping through their tiny little veins! *I will vouch for the pizza, the healthy selection of Umpqua ice cream plus the coffee drinks are not bad! So onto what annoys me but is not necessarily a deal breaker... #1 So I really LOVE gaming, that's why I let my kids drag me anywhere in OREGON that has a decent arcade! Its pretty annoying that several of the game take more tokens than advertised. Especially plants vs zombies & Star trek Voyager. I still played any way and the staff were kind enough to replace my token when I asked (I was too ashamed to ask for them all-I like to play WAY more than is healthy but don't like spending $1.50 on average to play a game that $1) #2 The only complaint about the staff is this: When a customer first walks end, do not finish your NON work related conversation before greeting them. But they are a bunch of younger worker so since they were really nice to my kids (& me with the game issues) I would still return. #3 there seemed to be lots of issues with the ticket machines and some of the games weren't turned even on last time.

My son loves this place! He has fun navigating through the jungle gym. It's a great place for tiring out your toddler especially during the cold winter months. A great alternative to parks or outdoor play. I have to knock down some stars though because twice that we've been there, a few of the arcade games were broken and not allowing to use our coins. Although my son has lots of fun here, he's gotten sick just days after visiting this place on a few occasions and he is not exposed to many kids unless he's here. Also, there are many older kids that appear to be teenager age that run through the jungle gym and don't seem to regard the little children they run by which always makes me worry they'll knock over one. They also have 2 bounce houses for kids ages 3+ and a mini golf area lit up by black lights and neon colors.

Good place for kids to play. Its on the spendy side. I would come to play but the food was terrible !!

  • Ali S.

Disappointed is an understatement. Very few of the games work and the place is dirty. There is hardly anyone here and you can't pick up the cups on the floor? Come on. The bathroom had pee on the seat, the freshener was beeping because it was out and there were no paper towels. The blacklight mini golf was pretty cool and the play structure is big, but the rest of this place blows. The price for what you get totally isn't worth it. Save your money.

I've only been here once. It was for a friend's son's birthday. I had a great time. My 2 kids had an even better time. A few other dads and I all ran the obstacle course with our kids and we all had a blast. The games seemed good and I really wish I had taken a run at the mini golf. The reason they only get 3 out of 5 stars was for their complete lack of responsibility in making sure my kids were actually mine. My wife and I walked out with both our kids and the girl who was checking hand stamps didn't check any of ours. So that's why I doubt I'll go back.

Recently attended a birthday party and wow.. must say I am really disappointed. First strike is when we got back to the party room the party host asked how many kids and the mom said 10 confirmed. . But possibly more.. the host never asked how many kids for sure. Ended up being 14.. so the pizza comes out and they (safari sams) had removed 2 pieces of pizza from each pizza... really? ?? Am I the only one that finds that odd.. when asked why he said there are 10 kids we gave to take away the pieces... only 2 pieces per kid... when asked what they were going to do with the extra pieces they removed.... he said we will save them for someone who wants only one piece. But they will probably end up throwing them away.... I am sorry but how tacky and what a waste!!! (When had my daughters party here back in June and they didn't remove any pieces)... Strike 2.... party host made almost every kid in the party cry at least once by yelling at them and telling them they had the wrong band on to play in the bounce houses.. really??? Is that the way to treat your customers? ?? They are 5.. no need to be so rude. Strike 3....when the manager was off work watched him stand around and drink beer... while he talked to his employees. .. Its all about image. .and that us setting a horrible image...... if you want to have a beer after work.. fine but change out of your manager uniform.... The only good thing about yesterdays visit was the girl working in the prize booth..my daughter was still upset about the party host yelling at her and she noticed she was not happy so she gave her a few extra candies. I honestly don't think we will be back anytime soon... safari sams needs to step it up and work on their customer service!

This is a great indoor play area that just falls short of five stars. As for activities, they have a large play structure, arcade, bouncy houses, and indoor putt putt golf. They also have an onsite short order restaurant. On the positive: it was not very busy when we attended, waiting areas for the adults were well appointed heavy timber picnic tables with plenty of flat panel TVs surrounding. All the areas were nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. Also, the acoustics were good and most of the chaotic noise of children was dampened into a dull roar - no need to bring your aspirin. As for negative: the play structure needs a few minor repairs - nothing that relates to safety, but it is noticeable. While the rest of the facility was clean, the restrooms could use a little extra attention. With these two areas in mind, Safari Sam's is a solid four star experience. We will definitely bring our kiddos back again and again.

Family fun. Read the downgrade for "Jesus Music" but noticed it less than angry metal music of other establishments. (and it's not my genre) all kids 9-47 yrs. had fun!

I'm 25 years old & will find any excuse to bring one of my friend's kids here. It's fun for kids & adults. (fyi you may be a little bit sore the next day) I've always came when they first open or a few hours before closing & it is really never that busy. They play area is fun, the arcade is pretty rad, the putt-putt golf is awesome, and they have okay pizza. They have a bunch of bundled deals which is the best bang for your buck! The best part is adults are FREE!! I've been so similar places where after 1 adult they charge you like $5 to watch your kids play.

Great place to spend a rainy day (and a lot of dollars) with the kids.

This place has potential, maybe with better management. On the plus side, it has cool things to play on, two bouncy houses, games and mini glow in dark golf course. I was there on a Tuesday evening, and it wasn't super busy, but the hour and a half I was there, most tables weren't cleaned off at all. There were dishes on quite a few tables that were never touched, at all. I didn't order food, as I wondered if they couldn't even bus tables, I didn't want to try the food from the kitchen. There was a young guy working the counter there. I don't know if they have a rule he can't walk away but most of the time he was standing around waiting for customers. If it was me, I would of bussed at least one table at a time, checking on the counter as I took dishes in. There was a dirty sock that laid on the aisle the whole time I was there and the trash cans in the bathroom were full. It needs motivated, detail oriented workers that work as a team to keep it clean, staffed and to check on customers. The young girl working up front at the entrance was nice enough. The play equipment is a little shabby in spots, but I can understand how that might be expensive to maintain.

Its a great place to go to except the food service was way too slow. It took about 30 minutes or more and it was empty for a Friday night. Go figure. We'll never eat there again!! Were was the Restaurant Manager when you needed him or her? Very disappointed!!

first time being here it was my sons birthday today we had a great time played for hours in the play area although i did notice there needs to be a few repairs it seemed safe the food took forever to come even with noone really in there at all and when got the food it was bland and wasnt very good we played video games for awhile it was fun although they seemed rigged to not give very many tickets

    (4)
  • Jose G.

Second time here within a month for another birthday party. Once again big big disappointment. Not well run, games that are rigged like carny games, and in general a family place that has gone to crap. Only reason we come is to support friends. Not a place I will Ever choose for my girls bday party. Safari S#@!

I've been to Safari Sam's a few times. The main attraction of the place is a giant indoor play structure; the website touts it as the "largest play structure in Oregon," and if you came here just for that, your kids could probably be entertained for a least a couple of hours. It's a great place to burn off extra energy on rainy days. There is also a bouncy house room (+$), a putt putt golf course (+$), and an arcade (+$$$). $21 a kid for access to everything + 40 tokens. It's definitely not an inexpensive afternoon, but kids will be stoked to come here. The pizza isn't bad, and they offer beer and wine (all day on weekends, and 6 PM and later on weeknights). I've only every been to Safari Sam's on Saturday, and it definitely starts to get pretty crowded around noon. Additionally, not all parents are keeping that close of an eye on their kids (I saw a kid climbing up a large decorative boulder in the putt putt golf area!), so it can get to be sort of a free for all. Also, be aware, there is a "black diamond" course in the play structure area that is a little advanced. Don't help your kids get up there (I'm 5'1" and had trouble getting up there on my own) unless you're planning on going through the whole course with them - there are definitely some challenging spots that they would get stuck on. There wasn't any music playing when I was there most recently (as mentioned by some other reviewers), but there were a few different baseball and basketball games shown on some flat screen TVs around the dining area. The employees use black light ink to stamp you and your kids' hands with the same number so that they can ensure you leave with the same people you came in with, and they keep track of what package you purchased with different colored wristbands.

Very fun with 10 kids under 8 ... prices were ok... paid $18 per kid... includes 40 tokens..gym..bouncers. . Totally worth the money. .. fun..fun... a work out for adults too...

  • Kas D.

I really wanted to like this place, but ran running after only 45 mins. There are parents smoking outside, the jungle gym smells of urine, and the mini golf is mediocre at best. We left smelling and feeling gross. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the video games and party rooms looked decent. Don't bring your 3 yr or 4 yr olds. Definitely not suited for younger kiddos.

  • Erik M.

Fun place for kids and adults alike. Their pizza is expensive but actually quite good quality (daily fresh made homemade crust). Look for deal on Groupon.

    (4)
  • Eric N.

It's for kids and serves it's purpose. It would be nice if they tried a little bit harder on the food and food prices. It did not really leave an impression on my children and we likely won't be back.

After a failed effort to go to Glowing Greens in downtown Portland we looked up indoor mini golf on Yelp and landed here. Hubby wanted mini golf as his birthday activity. So, Sherwood. Ok. It is his birthday. I was going to be a good sport. I hate golf. Got golf clubs for my 16th birthday when all I really wanted was the keys to my dad's extra old beater car. Oh, and lessons to go with. I still harbor anti golf resentment. Yay. I digress. Ahem. Back to Safari Sam's. Its in a strip mall. Its full of kids, families, bday parties, cheap pizza, umpqua ice cream, espresso, video games, a jungle gym, and glow in the dark black light mini golf. Let me back up a little. I loathe kiddy places. I refuse to do Chuckie Cheese. Bullwinkles I have braved twice, ugh. I do like OMSI and the Zoo. Bouncy house places? Ugh. Papa's pizza? Not for me.I do like Big Als a little bit ( the fact they serve alcohol might have influenced me, a little). Oaks park is tolerable. I can manage Skateworld ok. Anyway. So they checked us in, giving us bracelets and stamping our hands. Adult admission is free. Kid was $12. Golf was $5. Every activity you want to do costs more I think. Yay. The kid who admitted us didn't tell us where to get putters and balls so we had to figure that out. Later I would help a random lost grandma figure that out too ( she thought I worked there) so this appears to be a sink or swim kind of place. Yay. Princess fell apart halfway through the golf course so we sat the last bit out while the boys wrapped up their game. I think they enjoyed it. The golf course was kinda neat. If you have a sensitive kid like mine who is averse to noise, crowds, smells, and dark places and especially all at once, skip it. It was hard on her. If you like all that stuff, this is your spot. I did get a hole in one. ;) the boys were astonished. Golf lessons paid off I guess.

Overpriced entertainment for kids and overpriced unappetizing food for adults. This is our 3rd time here... we gave it a fair chance.

We love this place. We have had birthday parties here and come and on a regular basis. The pizza and food is delicious! This is our families go to place.

  • Nancy S.

This place is fun for kids. Huge indoor maze keeps them playing! They do offer weekday specials that make the price more affordable. Like other reviews a good deep cleaning is overdue. Also the arcade games are behind the times. Most are either not working or barely keeping it together. Time to update to cards and e tickets from the old token and ticket games. Overall a fun place for kids.

    (3)
  • Trevor M.

I've been here many times with the kids. The good part is the massive jungle gym. My kids all love it and it's fun to climb around with them around the mutli-levels of netting and obstacles. We have yet to try the mini golf, mostly because none of my kids has enough of an attention span to even bother with it yet. The food isn't worth bothering with. You're better to either come here after having eaten something or eating after you leave. The pizza is not good, at all. I wouldn't expect it to be as it reminds me of other kid like establishments. The food is generally sub-par but that isn't what brings us here. So, fun for the family but not a great place to eat. A solid 3 star in my book. Oh, they do serve alcohol for those who might need a drink with all the kid activity.

We've been coming to Safari Sam's for years. Whether planning a birthday party, attending one or just coming in for some fun - this is a great place for the whole family! Pizza is good and they now serve beer and wine. I do wish there was maybe some outdoor entertainment, batting cages or something to continue to appeal to my older kids. Years ago we also had our child in the after school program which he loved.

Went here a couple weeks back to use a Groupon or Living Social. We've been here before, even hosted our kids bday party here several years ago...man has this place gone down hill. My big complaint is the video game area, just about everything that was any good was Out of Order! The Jurassic Park game that you can sit in wasn't even turned on, along w/ the sit in Jungle game just like it. The basketball shooting game had an OOO sign on one side but found out after I put some money in that the other side didn't work either. There were several other popular games that were OOO too, seemed to me like they only cared about the games that dispense tix...so your kids can dump all their tokens into them. I was very disappointed in our visit and probably wont be going back anytime soon.

  • Amy A.

This was the 1st time I have ever been here and I mainly went because of the Groupon I purchased. I thought there would be more activities for older kids and for adults to join in, but this place is geared more towards 10 and under. My 11 year old, 9 year old and 5 year old seemed to have a good time though. I would have rather paid the same price to go to Bullwinkles though...

I have to say that I have been to many indoor play spaces over my 6 years in Portland and Safari Sam's gets my number one vote. First of all, the staff is wonderful. Every time I have been there, I have been so impressed with the front door staff, the wait staff and everyone else working there! The food is not bad and the prices are pretty reasonable and the kids get great exercise. Way to go, Safari Sam's! I wish every establishment we went to had such nice, friendly and capable staff on board. We drive 30 minutes in inclement weather to come and have fun because it's worth it!

Don't bother to buy their special vouchers! So many fine prints, they may find an excuse not Honor the voucher. Even if it's not printed on the voucher. They would say the rule is on their website. The supervisor "Jay" is not so nice. I asked very nicely if he can Honor the voucher. But he act as very strict, said no exception. Finally, I told him I'm going to write a bad review online. He said I'm threatening him, and also said if I was nice to him, he would have honored the voucher, LOL! What a bad way to do business. It does not seem they want return customer. This place is noisy and crowded. Overpriced. It's hard to supervise your kids. I saw a kids get lost and crying. Wi-fi does not work. It looks like there is wi-fi signal, but can not obtain IP-address.

  • Nicole M.

I went for the first time yesterday.... the kids loved it, and i liked it :) The jungle gym is nice cause the kids can take off and just run all their energy out. If you are taken kids and you are the only grown up i recommend taking a book/something to do- b/c i got bored sitting and waiting after a while. The games and mini golf was a good time and something i could do with the kids... BUT i have to say- i had two different foods there and i was grossed out by both and I am probably the least pickiest eater i know.. the kids enjoyed the pizza though so next time i'll eat before we go! :) We will go again for sure.. if nothing else for the jungle gym.

First of all, we have been to Safari Sam's many times in the past with Grand kids and family gatherings, both to celebrate Birthdays or just to go and let the kids have fun. It's located in the middle of all our family so it's usually pretty fun for all of us to meet up there. We "ALWAYS" buy food when we are there, and pay admission for the kids. Yesterday we all showed up there to celebrate a birthday. We paid $18 each for each child which came out to be $144. Then we bought 2 super saver pizza packages which came out to be another $86.00. So after spending all this $$ we were told we could not bring in gifts. (We had 4). Needless to say it will be our last trip there. Today we have a party at "Out of this world pizza", where you can gladly take in gifts for the Birthday person!

Party time. Excellent. Over the past six years, I've been to Safari Sam's for at least a dozen birthday parties and hosted one there myself. Funny to hear my boys rank their favorite party spots around Portland. This one was tops on their list for awhile, but it has since been eclipsed. I would say it is best for ages six and under. What is good is that they have a large play structure with a few different levels, so you can bring kids of different ages. What is a bummer is that this isn't a place where it is fun for adults to play. And I'm a big kid at heart. There is a rope climbing structure and it absolutely kills your feet if you attempt to climb it. There is also an advanced section where you have to boost most kids up to enter, so this can get very tiring for the grown ups. On the plus side they have indoor miniature golf and a large arcade area. But, every time I've been here at least some of the games eat your tokens, so beware. Depending on the party size you can book different "zones" and they are not all created equal. I really liked having the separate party room when I hosted the party, rather than being stuck in one of the tables under the play structure. It is also hard to round up the kiddos since they seem to run all over the place and the play structure has many entrances and exits. They do have the kids and adults put on matching bracelets when you enter so their is a little bit of security knowing your kids shouldn't be able to leave without you. Depending on your party package, the kids can all go up and choose their own ice cream from the 10 or so varieties. This place is also in the same center as the Dollar Store and Mudpuddles, so you can also sneak out and get a little shopping done if the kids are occupied.

Took my friends' kids here after they decided that the Children's Museum was for much too young'uns than they were. It was pretty awesome, I have to say. First of all, pretty damn cheap, all said. For the jungle gym alone with the two kids and me, it was only $13. After spending $31 at the Children's Museum for ten minutes, this was definitely a value. The kids chucked off their shoes and went to town on the jungle gym. This thing is huge, high, has lots of obstacles, and an absolutely astonishing number of challenges. I watched the kids from the ground for a while, feeling a little jealous, until I spotted an adult up on one of the higher ledges. At that point, all bets were off, and I went scrambling up after them. We ran around all through the upper levels, across the black diamond course, up and down cargo nets, over webbing and crawl tunnels, low-crawled through little areas, hauled ourselves up 70-degree slopes, leapt down barriers...it was exhausting, active, and a heck of a lot of fun. I felt like a kid again, and that was just awesome. I didn't encounter the loudly blaring Christian Rock music, though. I was ready for it, having seen the earlier Yelp! reviews, but I did not encounter it. I did see a door with a christian church logo on the door, so I suppose there's some sort of affiliation there? I don't know. But I was not handled a pamphlet, proselytized to, or even given a religious good wishing. So perhaps it depends on what staff are working, or maybe someone suggested to do otherwise? I don't know. I enjoyed it. The arcade was a bit disappointing though. Several of the machines were flat broken, or would eat our tokens and give us nothing. One of the skee ball machines refused to dispense any tickets at all. The prizes were similar to what you'd see at any place, but with a horrendous amount required for each price. Luckily, kids don't usually give a damn about the prize, just that they get one, so I didn't have any tears for only spending five bucks in the arcade. I didn't try any of the food, as other Yelpers suggested that it was not very good. I wouldn't know, but I only went to get the kids active and running around. Mission accomplished.

We visited Safari Sam's for the first time on Saturday for my nephew's birthday. It was a blast! It's a little chaotic and I was consistently looking for my kids, but over all they had a great time, the food was okay, better than other kid centered places, but it's not really about the food so much as the fun, so it was a win. The fifth star could be earned if I felt a little more secure as far as kiddos not walking out with a stranger. I'm not sure what the system is and it wasn't explained. We did have our wrists scanned under a black light when we left, so there's that. But they didn't scan my arm or our toddler and I'm not sure that everyone has a different stamp? I don't know. Anyways if I understood the safety measures I'd award another star-- because all of the kids at the party had such a blast!

Okay, 3rd (and last time I go here). I have to pay am"entry free"for my 14 year old just to sit and text her friends-no climbing, no putting, no bouncing...nothing but sitting and texting her friends--cost me $8 for that. Never mind that I've just plunked down $37 for my youngest and her friend to play. THEN the gal at the front desk boots me out of the establishment because I have coffee from Peets. No outside food or drink allowed. No thank you...I'll stick with Family Fun Center.

  • Glenn G.

If we're reviewing just what the kids played with and not food... the place was a pretty good time. With a 4 year old, I definitely overspent when I got the $20 package that included everything. All I really needed was the $5 for the playstructure + whatever it cost for the bouncy houses (maybe $6). The snack bar seemed pretty outdated. If us parents are shelling out a ton of dough for the kids and are going to be forced to spend hours there with very little to do, at least give us some exciting food! My hefeweizen was "flat" (not sure if that is the technical term but it was not of the quality I've had at other bars)...think it was Weidmer.

Went here a few weeks back with my husbands, kids (3 and 1), and one of my friends two kids (3 and 2.) We had so much fun. The play area was free for us since the kids were under a certain age and they all loved it. We did decide to play some arcade games, which were a bit on the pricier end for games and didn't award as many tickets as some places. The staff there were all super friendly and helpful. Coming from Vancouver, I wasn't sure if the drive would be worth it but it totally was. The kids were tuckered out by the time we got home. Will definitely be trying to go once a month for a playdate.

We went to Safari Sam's this past weekend for the indoor mini golf. We went early and avoided most of the hordes of kids. The golf course was fun. It's exactly what you would expect an indoor mini golf to be. We had a pretty good time but I couldn't help but be distracted by this company's choice of music. They were blaring Christian rock music the whole time we were there. I didn't think that was appropriate and it didn't mention that this was a religious establishment anywhere on their website. The golf was decent but they lost some stars for the Jesus music.

You can't beat the price and exercise value. There is not much seating and visibility is low, but the kids love this place. There are specials during the weekdays which include 2 slices of pizza and bottomless fountain drinks in the regular price of admission.

My daughter absolutely loves Safari Sams. Unlimited jungle gym is very cheap, so it's a nice inexpensive way to spend the day. Luckily she is young enough that she is satisfied with not playing video games every time. If you go on a weekday it is not very crowded and you don't have to deal with a bunch of 10 year old boys trampling your child. Plus, if you check the website they usually have deals for weekday evenings. The food is just okay, but pizza is pizza when it comes to kids. Overall, it's a great time for a decent price.

Several video games are broken. A lot of people. Pizza was not that good.

I came here with my 3-year old and will never come back again. They let the big kids play with the little kids and it is very dangerous. There were 12-year-old boys horsing around, chasing each other and banging into the toddlers. Even some of the adults were getting pretty rough. There is a question on this site (Yelp) that asks "good for kids". Well it depends on how old your kids are. If they are toddlers, bring them here at your own risk. There is absolutely no supervision and I would not be surprised if kids have been seriously injured here in the past.

Kids love this place. Food is spendy, but decent. Perfect for birthday parties or anything else.

Why better then Chucky Cheese. But the pizza is a little over priced.

I have been here couple of times, both times used the groupon. Kids loved the indoor mini Golf and the jungle gym. With the groupon, we got a large Pizza + 4 drinks which made the whole deal worth it. The thing i like about this place is, if you are an adult and you are not planning to do anything, you don't have to pay an entrance fee. The gaming department is so, so... Not great. Not only that, the gaming machine eats up tokens. We let the staff know that both the times and they were courteous to credit us back with the lost tokens.

The food is not that great. The kids always have fun here though. Sam's is going to have to step it up in the game department. With competition being more than just Chuck E. Cheese, they now have to contend with Big Al's and John's Incredible having way better games, giving more tickets and have way better prizes. It seems like every time we go to Sam's, games are broken and at least one eats a token. (staff is good about replacing them). Both Safari and John's charge entrance fee. Safari has the jungle gym and miniature golf that the others don't have. Took three kids to Safari, had dinner and played games and spent approximately $60. That is still cheaper than dinner and games at John's. The staff here is pretty good. We've had birthday parties there that have turned out pretty good. One problem that needs fixing is what happens when you leave your table. Tonight was the second time we've had our food and drinks disposed of while playing games before we were finished eating/drinking. They don't allow drinks in the golf area or game area, so where are people supposed to leave their drinks? They need a flag or card to place on the table like at Sweet Tomatoes. Overall a Nice place to take the kids every once and a while.

I love Safari Sams! It is nice to go for someplace where everything is under one roof. Mini golf, games and the HUGE jungle gym area! There is even great pizza there!!! Chuck E Cheese is NO competition for this place!! Clean and the staff is so polite and happy you are visiting!! Great for a birthday party or even a get together with friends and their kids!!
