Need an affordable, well stocked, clean, reasonably priced grocery store in Seaside? Then you're in luck - this Safeway is all of that with helpful and friendly folks working there to boot. I'm not sure, but I think I even saw the manager out walking around the store checking in with customers, and that's pretty unusual. I needed some basics and they had them all. I'm not going to deduct two stars from their review because the lottery ticket didn't win, but it might have made the difference between 4 and 5 stars if it had won..... (-:

Not disability friendly! I had a twisted ankle from the volleyball tournament in Seaside, Oregon, and was delighted to find that Safeway offered electric carts for me to shop with and save my injury from walking. It was DISTURBING to have the older gentleman employee scream at me across the store "YOU AREN'T HURT!!!". Clearly this is not a disability friendly store, and probably won't be until someone more litigious than I sues them to stop that form of illegal harassment. It is shocking in this day and age, but it does still happen.

Safeway in Seaside Oregon is a good place to go for a sandwich. They have a number of styles to choose from and sometimes you can find a coupon for a dollar off. I usually get the roast beef on a panini bread with horseradish sauce. You can choose your own toppings and bread if you don't like the choices. This Safeway also has some healthy food items I haven't seen at other Safeway stores like Coconut Ice Cream. If you are staying for the week in Seaside and need to stock up, I think this is a good place to go. There is another market in town, but it is a little smaller.

Good grocery store for Seaside. I especially liked that the sold firewood. Bought at lot of groceries here as we had a vacation house completely full with six adults.

This may seem cruel, but I have the fondest memory ever of this Safeway. A few years back, I was waiting in the car while my mom ran in to grab something (who knows what). I see this girl, probably about 9 or 10 years old, exit the store, looking quite suspicious. About 20 seconds later, out exits a security guard. Hmmm... that's odd. What's goin on?? He points his finger at the girl, she puts her hands in her pockets and pulls out a candy bar. Apparently she wanted to give a shot to getting the 5 finger discount. What comes next? Wait for it... She pees her pants. I had never seen that before. If that doesn't scare her to never do it again, I don't know what will. Kudos for the security man for setting the example, and probably saving her from a life of crime and/or punishment.

Like that Kyle guy, I also stopped here for a quick snack before hitting Astoria. The bathroom is a solo room and gross. And it's unisex, which is horrible as you have to share with disgusting male strangers. The first time here I got two corn dogs and some pre-cut celery with peanut butter. The celery and peanut butter were fine, but that was probably because it wasn't made by Safeway. The corndogs were COLD in the inside. I know that they're full of nitrates and preservatives and they're pre-cooked, but still. I don't want a cold hot dog--do you? This Safeway looks, for the most part, like anyother Safeway. The cashiers are like any other Safeway, too. Slow.

The store is great. Called ahead from Seattle to order a birthday cake for a vacation we took my mother on. The employee that took the phone order was simply great! The cake we decided on and the one I picked up were embarrassingly different! Wrong flavor & color of frosting and instead of a flowinf spray of purple and lavender roses, 3 big melting lavender rose blobs. WHOOPS?!!!!? Rhe cake and filling tasted great. The frosting was not only not what I requested, it tasted like shortening and was ugly.

Yet another scary and overpriced Safeway location. I was headed to Astoria from Salem...and stopped here not knowing that there was a newer Safeway in Astoria. So I stocked up on my items I needed at this store...and found the store unappealing and smaller. It seemed darker inside and not clean. Sure you can get what you want from any Safeway, but for the price -- go elsewhere. There is a Starbucks inside. Oh...and it took me awhile to even locate the shopping carts!

While staying at the local World Mart location here in Seaside, it was nice to find my friendly neighborhood Safeway packed with all the food items I'm used to at home Yay!!. Thankfully, this Safeway was also had a Starbucks!!! Yay! I get my Frappacino fix!! I usually do not like the Starbucks inside of any of the grocery chains, but this one served up my favorite drinks and a lot of friendly service. These employees were great! We were there for a week, and after 2 days they were calling us by name and remembering what drink we wanted to order. They also were very helpful in recomending places to visit and the best restaurants. 4 of the 5 stars are definately for the daily good service we got at the Starbucks kiosk.
