Fresh, flavorful and authentic! Also a bargain. I lived in Texas for years and my standards for Mexican food are high. Rarely do I find places that are this fantastic. Chile relleno was spectacular. Rice and beans were the best I've had in years.

I love this particular Papa Murphy's, and I'll tell you why. Last night we were waiting on Fultano's Pizza in Cannon Beach for over 2 hours, during which they never delivered the pizza or started our order, and gave us awful customer service. (Full details are available on my review for them on their yelp page.) After giving up on Fultano's, I called Papa Murphy's and ordered 2 pizzas, had the guy give me the total, and their promise that my order would be ready by the time I got there. 15 mins later, they had my order ready to go, although the price had gone up by several dollars. I asked them why, and they completely admitted it was a mistake and made sure to fix it right away. The staff was cheerful and prompt even though they were busy, and more than happy that we chose to do business with them after the debacle with Fultano's. Thank you for feeding my family in a timely manner!

Weiss’ Paradise Suites & Vacation Rentals

Reviews:
This place is perfect for a prolonged stay... Driving down the wonderful OR portion of Highway 101, we stayed one night at this beautiful place. It was very clean, inviting, and comfortable. This comfort and the fully equipped kitchenette had us contemplating staying there longer but alas our desire to see more of the Oregon coast overrode a longer stay. We will be back. Friends traveling there later this month have been advised to stay here.
The boyfriend and Idea decided to take a last minute trip to Seaside and were looking for somewhere to stay. Growing up, Seaside was always a day trip so I didn't know offhand a lot of places to stay. I thought of the Oceanfront Shilo inn, but I always remembered it as being a bit rundown now. During the drive from Portland, I was using my phone to look up some recommendations. Checked out Yelp and looked at Trip Advisor. Weiss' was listed at number one on Trip Advisor AND it was available for the same evening! Quickly made a reservation online, paying with a credit card. Arrived at the Paradise Suites and loved that it was so close to downtown and the main area of Seaside. Also close to Safeway and a couple of other places if needed. We met Donna in the check-in area. We chatted with Donna for about 10-5 minutes, telling her how we found the hotel, where we were from, what we planned to do in town; etc. She let us know about her property and told us about some past guests and what they liked and enjoyed. She even gave a few ideas about where to eat for dinner. Finally, she showed us to our room letting us choose between 2 available. The room itself was like a small apartment and was great. Living room, dining area, fully stocked kitchen with a few snacks, bathroom with shower only and a bedroom with queen sized bed. Very cute and functional. I loved that the kitchen had a full sized fridge, microwave, stove and all the cooking utensils/pots/pans/dishes/silverware that we might need. There is even a gas BBQ that we were welcome to use and share with the other 3 units. Only drawbacks that I could think of: They do not allow children. I did not even know that a hotel could make that distinction legality wise, but as we didn't have kids; it didn't bother me. The units are small, but I think you could fit 2 adults and a child or two if they don't mind sleeping on the couch or camping out on the floor. Also, Donna is a talker. If you're just the kind of person who wants to get to your room as soon as possible and relax, just stopping at the front desk to get your key and sign your charge slip; this isn't the place for you. Donna will treat you like family. She wants to know how you're doing and actually have a conversation with you. This is NOT a negative in my opinion but some people might not be up for this.
I stayed here for two nights while in the area on business. It was excellent. Clean, quiet, nice amenities such as complimentary snacks. The rooms are suites with living room, kitchen, dining area, bedroom and bathroom. Very friendly proprietor with helpful suggestions on things to do, best restaurants, etc. It is located in a quiet neighborhood 3 or 4 block's stroll to either the beach or to downtown. And the rates were surprisingly much less expensive than the various other hotels in Seaside that I investigated. If I'm in Seaside again, Weiss will be my first choice.

We happened upon this cafe and thought we would give it a try. Wow! The latte beat any Starbucks I have had and my food was amazing! I had the huevos rancheros and it was insanely good! Not only that, our servers were so wonderful. Attentive to my 5 year olds wants for just blue berries and decaf coffee (really just warm milk with a splash for flavor) coloring, and let her even sit by herself. (she is becoming an independent little one) It was also pretty fast service and they were very busy. All the food is fresh including the homemade sausage. This will be a must go to every time we visit. On top of that, the decor is cute, clean, and the fire place was going. Loved it!! Keep them open!
Excellent breakfast. We came in one day just to get coffee to go and realized we would have to come back for breakfast. We came back the next day. The French toast was really great. Nice and chewy on the inside, crisp on the outside. Bacon was perfectly cooked. The biscuits and sausage gravy were great. Coffee was good. Cappuccino was okay. I just wish we'd come here sooner in our trip. Add in a (tiny) view of the ocean (if you sit in the right booth) and a fireplace for chilly mornings, and we loved this place.
Really nice. I ordered the arroz con pollo without cheese, and the chef came out to ask me whether goat cheese was acceptable. I thought was a nice touch. Some interesting selections on the menu, and everything our party got looked good. Very small and happily away from the downtown crowds. So happy to have finally found quality food in Seaside!

Gilbert Inn

Reviews:
My boyfriend surprised me for our one-year anniversary with a trip to the beach - we had made a day trip to Seaside the first time we met, so it had a bit of nostalgia for us. I had NO clue what he had up his sleeve, but when we pulled up to this adorable little Victorian style inn, within sight of the water, I was immediately in love. We stayed in the Addie room, which was absolutely perfect. The bathroom has been recently remodeled and it has one of the nicest showers I've ever been in. The bed was beautiful and very comfortable, with a firm but soft mattress. The furniture all has incredible character and adds to the air of charm about the cottage. If you're a fan of character and charm but not looking for a "dated" room per say (what can I say, I like my modern comforts), the Addie room will be the perfect choice for you. The window overlooks the ocean beside the mammoth resort next door, and there is a nice wall-mounted flat-screen TV if you choose to stay inside or the weather is inclimate. In regards to what a previous reviewer said about the surroundings... you have to look beyond that. Seaside is a highly developed strip, and if you want to look around and feel like you're in a cottage in the woods, you're in the wrong place. Once you're inside, though, you do feel like you're in another world all together. Maria, the innkeeper, is just precious and obviously cares very much about her inn and the guests that stay there. She is softspoken and you feel like you're staying with a well-known relative as soon as you meet her. She is totally accommodating and will make sure you have the most pleasant stay possible. The sun room is lovely if you have a spare hour or so. Take a look through their books and have a cup of tea, or take a cat nap in one of the wicker chairs in the sun. Gilbert Inn is very much about small comforts. We'll definitely be back when we can take the weekend away!
Hosts were amazing, sharing the history of the home, giving a tour, making our stay as comfortable as possible. Would definitely recommend!!!
I almost want to give only 4 stars because they no longer offer breakfast, but Jeannine's hospitality and the Inn's beauty compels me to give the full 5. Everything about the Gilbert Inn is warm and welcoming. The fact that there is so much original furnishing, and the owner/operator has a close personal relationship with the place, really makes this place the tops. You really feel like you're staying at a relative's beach-side family home. It's a shame that the city let large developments take over the ocean front, but staying at this inn really gives you a feel of a quaint sea side community. The Gilbert Inn is a great place to stay while you enjoy Oregon' coast. Oh, and the cookies were delicious.

Great for what it is! Service was great! Everytime you run out of water, the owner/waiter will come fill your glass. The food as well, for what it is and the location, it is as close to authentic as you can get. I def. will be back here. We ordered the salt and pepper squid and the general tso chicken with a side of egg flower soup, everything was very tasty.
My husband and I had dinner here last night. Lots of vegetarian options and the food was pretty tasty. We shared an order of Kung Pao Tofu, Vegetables Deluxe and Vegetable Fried Rice. Service was a bit slow but there was a ginormous party there that could have been partially to blame. Located inside the Carousel Mall, with lots of carnival music playing in the background. Definitely a bit of a throwback. The food exceeded expectations based on the location.
The signs say under new management. The chicken and green beans were very good. The other dishes we had at dinner came with and egg roll and two potstickers. Maybe o am forgetting what Chinese tastes like, but the food was incredibly salty. Service was polite and attentive - just not very quick. The public parking area, just behind the mall is super convenient.

This was a wonderful treat today!! A little pricey for lunch but very good food! We had Linguine with Pesto and chicken, Alfredo linguine and chicken, spaghetti and meatball, and the lasagna. Also had the anti pasta plate. Fresh pasta with homemade sauce, all came with salad, fresh, beautiful and homemade dressing. Oh and the Panna Cotta was AMAZING! Definitely will return.
Sunday night dinner with the family, we had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna, and a meatball sandwich. Everything was delicious! Nice atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. Even a shot of sambuca to finish the meal!
The best restaurant we have eaten at in Seaside by far. The charcuterie tray was delicious. Our waiter was so welcoming and friendly. At the end of our meal he brought the girls little Italian sodas as a treat. What a nice way to end our meal. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

I love this little place, it's a great little place to run in and grab something fast that's not fast food though if you know what I mean. The tacos are awesome and the fish and chips are amazing, I have lunch here several times while at a week long art show and was never disappointed.
Very good chili verde. Prices are reasonable. They don't give you chips so if you buy guacamole you then better buy some chips. Good neighborhood hole in the wall type of place
Great food, great prices huge portions. If you leave here hungry then you went to the wrong place. We are from LA and do a lot of travelling and I have to say this is one of my favorite hole in the wall places. We have already eaten here twice and have only been here a week. Eat here, you won't regret it.

I am a tri tip snob so am always leery of places claiming to specialize in tri tip bbq. Gray Whale delivers. Delicious pulled pork and tri tip. Haven't tried the seafood yet but the tri tip is so good I just order that. Parking sucks.
Excellent BBQ using good quality meat and ingredients in this quaint little Shop located right on the highway. Service is good, food is excellent. Large menu and a variety of BBQ sauces makes this an excellent choice. Parking is problematic... Not a lot of space. I think it's a little pricey but considering the quality I'm willing to pay a little extra. Try the tri tip wrap!
Ok, this review requires context... First, this is Seaside, not Kansas City, not Austin, not South Carolina. So is it the best BBQ you can find? No. Is it delicious, reasonably priced food in a small town seemingly devoid of many options? Yes. We ordered the family meal which gives you 3 meats and 4 sides. This was supposed to feed 4 people, but I think it should be more like 6. Or maybe 4 hungry truckers? I'm just saying it was alot of food. That's not a bad thing. For $60 we felt like we got a good deal. The service really was special. She was very kind and attentive and went out of her way to be nice to us and the kids. We would definitely return.
