Another of my Starbucks Stops. Great service, fast movement. Same quality products. Only gripe about this particular location is lack of a drive though.

Starbucks has done an incredible job with their branding, sheerly on their image, not for the quality of coffee and beverages served. Kudos to them. Customer service with their baristas is lacking. I get the impression/vibe/feeling that somehow I'm an imposition on their time schedule. I think their prices are oulandish for what they serve. I believe they've tried to make people accustomed to a harsh, acidic coffee taste and pass it off as 'delicious! Because it's Starbucks' idea. The few times I go to Starbucks, it's only for one of two reasons: 1. I have a giftcard 2. convenience of location / my limited time frame.

This is a great Starbucks. The girls always know what we want and are always real friendly. I recommend everyone get a coffee before you shop.

Great neighborhood Starbucks. Probably my second fav in the Salem area. Friendly staff.

When I lived in South Salem, this was my regular Starbuck's stopping point. I was in town last week for work, and came here to visit an old friend. Place was busy as usual (no indication of a weak economy here), and my friend and I even partaked in a coffee taste test and found out that I was 'mellow'. I digress.... I have never really had an issue here with the business itself. Sure, because it IS a busy place, the people tend to get lost in making drinks from time to time, but mostly they have always been friendly and courteous. Like Kyle who posted before me, I have been to a few 'Bucks' where I left thinking the staff was about as stuffy as a clogged nose. I just haven't experienced that here. The only thing I wish for at this location was that it was a bit bigger. Being that it's a popular place in South Salem, it has too little room for the customer base to sit and chat. There are just a couple of tables for 'outdoor' seating, but it does offer it when days are warmer.

I've been going to this Starbucks since the mid-90s. And after many staff/management changes -- it is not the same, friendly place it used to be. Recently, there have been some rude baristas. It's as if the store has lost its intimate level with its customers, but I guess that is to be expected as the Starbucks chain has grown and grown. I usually order Americanos, and sometimes they taste burnt, unlike the usual consistency of the Starbucks located in the Fred Meyers across the street.
