That's right... Del Taco, super good food and super good prices. Probably one of the best dollar menus in town by far. I don't think anyone else has the most selection as Del Taco has for dollar items. Taco Bell can't even beat it, let alone McDonalds. :) Anyways, I guess Yelp kinda drop the ball on this one... I can't really check in because it's in the wrong location. Anyways. my review is very simple and straightforward. I come here for breakfast and sometimes lunch or dinner... Strawberry lemonade is the best and you can't go wrong for all the other dollar items. If you're simply on a budget this is the place to go and if you do the survey you get a dollar off... So more food for the buck or as most say "more bang for the buck" The atmosphere and the cleanliness of the store goes way too far. I am sure they get 5 stars right off the get go and if you think I'm wrong go there and find out for yourself... Definitely always referring this place to family members if they're on a low budget and if I'm throwing a big party I'll definitely get a hundred of the 60 cent tacos. *****

I have been here a few times. Everytime has been a good experience. The store has always been clean and they have never messed up my order. Today I ate outside in the sun and it was nice to sit out there and relax. I ordered the half-pound bean burritos. They were ok except that I couldn't taste the red sauce at all, in fact I didn't even notice it being on the burritos. Guess they could have forgotten it and I wouldn't have known...

Fries are good! Was very unimpressed with the combo burrito. Taco Bell's is way better. Coke products, ugh, gross.

I'm not going even lie - I'm here for the fish tacos. Every single time, gotta have at least one fish taco. The unique blend of salad, fried fish, and that special sauce with a kick off lime really hits the spot every time. The service is always prompt and courteous. The dining area is always clean when I visit; and I get to visit only rarely. I live quite far away from any Del Taco locations. It's a distant drive to any location, but I make an effort to come out this way once every few months.

I ordered the chicken nachos with extra cheese. The chips were broken into small pieces, it was cold, had a bunch of salt dumped on it, and very very little cheese. I was charged seventy cents for the cheese. I will not be back. Total waste of money and not worth $5.20.

Stopped by Del Taco for a late night snack. Got the Chicken Hard Shell tacos and Big Fat Chicken Taco. Service was decent but man were the Hard Shell Chicken tacos amazing. They are only 99 cents as well. I real that on Thursday they have a deal if you buy three for 2 something. I defiantly need to come back for that on Thursday. If your looking for fancy fast food this is not your place, in my opinion it is a lot like Taco Bell but it seems like a bit better. I definitely will be back to try out some more stuff here.

Del Taco missed their mark this evening. We eat here at least once a month and this evening was awful. We ordered the new tostada, a del combo burrito meal, and a small taco. I ordered my burrito with easy beans plus sour cream. When we got our food we noticed that we had been charged for the tostada even though the special of the evening said that it was free with a purchase of a meal. When we brought it to the managers attention on shift she said that the would 'make an exception this time....' whatever that means. Its the advertised special! There shouldn't be any question about "exceptions". We shrugged it off and they gave us an extra one. Then when we got our food the fries were cold so I sent them back. Then I took a bite of my burrito and there was no sour cream. So I returned it and the manager on shift informed me that my burrito "doesn't come with sour cream' and she didn't understand what the problem was. I showed her my receipt again and said that I PAID for sour cream. She rolled her eyes and said, "ggggrrr okaaayyyy". After her making the snotty noises I said I don't want to argue, I just want my meal the way I paid for it. When it came back again they messed up on it and didn't but easy beans, but I gave up and just scraped 1/2 of it off. We left and just gave up. We'll be back in a few months and hopefully they will have their stuff together again-

I absolutely love their food. No matter what I order everything is super fresh. Food does not make you feel heavy like Taco Bell. If you have to choose between the two this is the best choice. The classic chicken burrito is my all time favorite. Other good things to order are: Green burrito Delux chili fries Macho nachos Any of their tacos. Love their del scorcho hot sauce

I don't think there are any Del Taco's in Hawaii so it was my first opportunity to try the food here. After two bites I quickly surmised this to be Mexican American fast food and comparable to Taco Bell although my son says Taco Bell is better. I had two fish tacos with french fries and a soft drink and my son had the steak tacos. The fish tacos looked like soft white corn tortillas with fish sticks, cabbage, and a lime wedge. They tasted pretty okay for fast food. My son just shook his head sadly at his steak tacos. I ordered a kids meal for each of the youngins. Both got chicken tenders with fries. Both orders of chicken were a bit overcooked. I'd suggest they jazz up their french fries and monitor the deep fryer if they want repeat business here.

I don't know how you can really write a sophisticated review on a fast food joint... but this has always been me and my dad's place to go. Even though we have never lived by one, it's always on the way to where we are going so we will just stop by. They have these regular tacos for like 49 cents and we always try and see how many we can possibly eat. Really silly, but that is why i love this place haha. they are actually good tacos too. And the churros are awesome haha.

Best foods at Del Taco-- The Double Bacon Dell Cheeseburger. As close to Bob's as you can get these days (if you even remember Bob's). And the shrimp tacos--but they're only seasonal. I have a right mind to write the company and demand them all year long. But yeah, it's on Lancaster and I refuse to venture to that part of town unless I have to, so I hardly ever eat here :(

Perfect late night spot for food. Love the half pound bean and cheese burritos (Green Sauce please) for 99 cents and the service is usually pretty quick and accurate.

Yum Yum Yum. Screw Taco Bell and eat at Del Taco! And plus, you can get american food. Thus you can enjoy their wonderful fries along with their pretty decent cheese quesadillas. The only negative of this location -- is its location. Hard entry and exit onto Lancaster at this spot. But its always worth it. YUM!

I've been enjoying Del Taco for years and the food can vary from one to another. Mainly I'm talking about the beans or portion sizes. The half pound green or red burritos can sometimes be a little small. This particular store has consistently provided above average service, portions, and quality. I hate it when the beans are too runny or undercooked and so far, I haven't run into this problem at this Del Taco. I will continue eating here and I recommend it highly. A better alternative to Taco Bell.

  • Jando S.

Del Taco is one of the Taco Bell franchised wannabes that is still somehow trying to make its way out east, as it is largely a west dominated chain. Unlike Taco Bell, the pricier options can initially be a turn off, but the food quality has been much better than your average Taco Bell. The 24 hour drive through is fun, its location is decent given the fact that its centrally located along the busy Lancaster Drive, roughly 2 blocks away from the rest of the fast food businesses. Its worth checking out for fast food cravings and is a solid alternative to its Mexican fast food predecessors.

Polite drive-up service. 49 cent tacos ok, but it takes ten of them to fill up.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
