I have to admit that when this coffee shop first opened I was skeptical. There was no signage anywhere, only a banner. Walking in there was no menu board, it was very empty feeling. The drink was a little too sweet too. I talked to the owner, told her she needed to get a menu board up, signage, and advertise. Over the past few months I've stopped in here and there and things are changing for the better. First and foremost, the white mocha I ordered the last time a week ago was perfect so she's getting good at making the drinks. She also gave me a sample of the Syrian coffee which was pretty good. The baked items are just awesome. I've had those a few times at a couple of local events. Also, they have a nice menu board, signage, a punch card system, new items added, and I heard they are even serving Gyro's now too. I think this coffee shop has the potential to make it. If you went in the beginning and it wasn't a very good experience I urge you to give it another shot. Any new business is going to need some fine tuning to get right.

I have only been once so far, but I had no wait and a great latte at a fair price. I'm curious to try the pastries which come from the owner's mother's bakery, Selma's in Gresham. They looked tasty, and I was told they are made from scratch. It's nice to have a new locally owned coffee shop and source of fresh baked goods in the neighborhood.

VERY friendly staff, amazing and unique coffee along with your everyday coffee choices. Free and fast wifi and cool lounge-like layout. Great pastries as well. I would recommend there spinach feta pastry!

To be honest their coffee is great and I always love supporting local businesses but after sitting down today my views have changed about the owners. I had sat down to do my resume and enjoy my coffee and a older man that knew the owners came in and greeted them. They sat down since there weren't any customers and talked about whatever. I had my earphones in one of my ears with music playing but could still hear them talking. A couple minutes I hear the word "faggot" being said by the man that came in so I decided to stop playing my music but let them believe I was listening to music. Since I support lgbt and being Bi myself I couldn't help but listen to their conversation. The man stated that the company he worked for did not care about the sexuality of his coworker but if he could then he would have put him under and beat him. The owners laughed and agreed and that's when I changed my views about them. I feel disgusted and did not have the courage to say anything because it was the first I have ever heard of it in person. I now know I will not be coming here. Great coffee and service just apparently not a supporter of the lgbt community

I spend all of my free time here. The coffee is great and the atmosphere is very friendly.

Decided to stop in here and try the special spiked mocha and it was pretty good. It's a regular mocha coffee with flavoring and i decided to have Orange. Unfortunately there was only one person working and so it took a while to actually get my coffee order. It was a little sweeter than I was used to from the other coffee establishments. Maybe the next time I stop in they will have more than one person working.

A few weeks ago, I had to meet to discuss work with a new employee and this place was conveniently located. What nice surprise to discover Syrian coffee! I had never tried it before, but the helpful barista explained what it would be like. I loved it. Got a shortbread cookie to nibble and I couldn't wait until the meeting was over so I could gobble the rest down (it was big enough to share, and I did...but she was polite and didn't eat much) I can't wait to be in east Portland again.

After my first (somewhat negative) experience with Xtreme Espresso, I decided to try them again. I'm glad I did. Today, my drink was much better than before, service was quick and the place is super cute. I met with a business contact there and it was a nice environment to do so, even though the WiFi wasn't working. The mango smoothie is really good. I'll be back.

I'm giving Xtreme Espresso a 5/5 from my first experience with them. The place was clean, had a similar atmosphere to the Starbucks that used to be where they are located, and the girl working the counter was friendly and helpful. I understand how hard it is to start up a business, especially when you're trying to fill the shoes of the Starbucks giant that came before you. Now for the important parts: -The drink was a normal, iced Americano with a no-sugar Coconut flavoring added. -The cost was $2.25 for a 24 oz, plus $0.45 for the flavoring for a total of $2.70 (right on par with Starbucks) -The flavor of the drink was strong, and the coconut that I had added made it sweet enough to overcome the usual bitterness of the coffee. I was more than happy with my beverage, and would recommend others stop in to try this place out. My last comments will be more critical, however. While the business still has a similar feel to the Starbucks before it, it needs a bit more brightness inside, and perhaps more art on the walls to liven it up. When you walk by, it's hard to tell that they're actually open or not, save for the "OPEN" sign glowing and a worker visible inside. The business needs some kind of mood lighting, not too bright, but definitely brighter than current.

I was on the hunt for a good cup of coffee (that I didn't have to wait in an extremely long line or pay a million dollars for) I stumbled across Extreme Espresso and am so glad I did. I was greeted by the lone coffee guru in the shop, with a huge smile. I ordered a 20oz Mocha with an extra shot (I was having one of those "I need as much caffeine I can pump into by body" kind of day) The guy said "well if you're going go do three shots, I'll throw in a fourth one for free" Yes sir! It was honesty the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. Creamy, strong, and just sweet enough from the chocolate to give a perfect balance. I love supporting small local businesses when I can, and even though this hole in the wall oasis is a little out of my way, I'm more than willing to travel here vs. The giant chain store right down the block! Spread the word, let's get this place going. I wanna be able to get a cup of coffee here for a long time. Next time I visit, I plan on enjoying some of the tasty pastries I saw on display. There was a canoli calling my name.

This is easily one of the best places for coffee and pastries in the area. I come here frequently. The owner and staff are very nice and easy to talk to. The pastries come from a local bakery in Gresham. The drinks are delicious. If you are in the area, it is worth giving them a shot. The only downside is that they can be a little slow sometimes.
