We have been here several times with the family. It is one of those Asian Buffett places. There is a moderate selection of dishes. The food selection isn't that great, for the price that you are paying. I feel like for the price there should be more options. Also the price of the drinks is not included, so an adult meal with a drink comes out to around $13/ $14. There are some good stir fry dishes and the fried shrimp is good. We come here once in a blue moon because it is convenient. Otherwise, there are a lot better options for the price.

This place has a good selection of food for a very cheap price. However, the food refilling process is extremely slow, and their waitresses barely take the finished dishes and refill empty water/soda cups on the customer tables. I understand that, "You play for what you get," but I won't be coming back here anytime soon because the long wait doesn't seem to be worth it :(

No need to worry about teary-eyed, maudlin praises (I almost said "eulogies"... ooops!) about Tin Tin. It is what it friggin' is, no doubt about it. And back at the tail end of my college boy years, this was as decent a lunch buffet as you could possibly hope to find around town for $5. Sure, we had our doubts and suspicions about quality control for this place, but we never had a bad meal from here, as we crammed our gullets even as we crammed for midterms and finals. All I can say is, thank goodness I have never been sensitive to MSG.... not all my classmates who came and ate and studied with me here, were quite so lucky. I always particularly liked the green beans, the egg drop soup, the seafood and sauteed mushrooms, and just about all their seafood, except when the salmon had fossilized into wood bark, and the sushi turned to rubber. There was one particular peanut-sauce-glazed chicken breast cutlet dish we were absolutely bananas about, but the last couple times I went back, spread out over several years, mind you, they had phased out that dish. Of course, that would be the one thing they did away with.... any time I asked any staff about it, they suddenly could not recall a single word of English. Hmmm very convenient.... Sure, Tin Tin is on one of the lower rungs of "fine dining" around here. Still a far cry from the lowest-of-lowly Super Buffet, or Lung Fungs still eking out their survivals on unwitting victims. The irony of it all is--- I bet you the quality and taste of Tin Tin loses nothing by comparison, and is actually far better, than some places you'll find back in the Motherland, in mainland China proper....

Puke puke puke. If you think that buffet Chinese is good no matter where it is, then this review won't affect you much anyway. I'm just surprised that there are still people who trust seafood (i.e. crab legs) at a buffet. Freakin' gross.

I guess I'm not alone here, as I see two other reviewers that vomited following eating here. It's been a while since I was there, and I'd like to think that things have changed. I was in Gresham on work and was really hungry, and I saw the ubiquitous Chinese buffet. Can't go wrong, right? Wrong. Avoid this place.

Tin Tin Buffet is not glamorous chinese food, it's chinese fast food. But most of it is tasty and fresh cooked. When reading this review please keep in mind that I am allergic to shellfish, so don't hold seafood quality against me, because I wouldn't know. Much like some of the other fast food chinese buffets around Portland ("Plenty Buffet" and "Best Buffet") I don't know if they are owned by the same person as Tin Tin, but the atmosphere and the food quality is about the same. It's not the BEST chinese food you'll ever have. But the point is you get to go in and taste different dishes that you may not get to taste if you ordered off the menu. When you look at it that way, it's completely worth the $8.00 for lunch - which includes bottomless soda. Favorites: again, I don't eat the shellfish. But their vegetarian rolled sushi with tempura, cucumber, cream cheese is awesome. They seem to have 2 vegetarian varities (the other one is a seaweed roll which I passed on) and a california roll and one other with chunks of (probably imitation) crab. Unless you have to have rice or noodles, stay away from the chow mein and fried rice and go with the steamed. The noodle dishes were found to be a big oily. Skip the sweet & sour chicken which I found a bit dry and eat the Orange Chicken instead. The orange chicken tasted like what I want my Sweet & Sour chicken to taste like ALL the time. Chicken with mushrooms is amazing and not just filled up with lots of mushroom stems like I've seen at Kings Buffet. I've had better general tsao's - plus they use dark meat in theres which kind of creeps me out. Spring Rolls are nice and crunchy, and tasty enough - but they're not extraordinary. The chicken pieces for sweet & sour chicken (with sauce on the side) is fairly nice quality - maybe a tad too much breading. But the chicken is moist and tasty. They have another version that is mixed in to the sauce and has pineapple. That was a bit dry. If you go for nothing else - the Mongolian Beef was AMAZING and worth the price of admission. Probably one of the best I've ever had. Spicy, but not too hot. Beef was really tender and almost melted in my mouth. Also the green beans in (black bean?) sauce is always a winner if you want something vegetarian. I tend to hate most of the coconut flavored cakes and cookies they serve for dessert. But this place has a decent macaroon and self serve ice cream machine to finish off your meal. And the wait staff is always VERY nice and brings out extra napkins and I've never had to look for someone to get me a refill of pop. Excellent service.

i am convinced there are hidden gems of ethnic eating delight in tiny strip malls in gresham. this is definitely not one of them. if i can't knock back at least two plates at any buffet, no es bueno. this place is beyond shitty. trying to find a positive, i would say the pot stickers weren't horrible. everything else was. especially everything that came in a ball. i have no idea what was inside the sesame ball but i don't think it was supposed to be. also beware of the stuffed mushroom. it is great there are three toilets in the bathroom. you may need all of them.
