They have fresh orange juice mimosas and giant nachos that are very tasty. And the bartender was nice enough to let me borrow a screwdriver. Also they show local artists.

It's a bar, It's a coffee shop. It's a sandwich/lunch spot. It's a music venue. It's in-between MLK and Grand. It's The Side Door. Heading to an early Sunday evening The-a-tuh, we needed a light supper, close in on the East side. I'm not sure what got me (and S.U.) in the door, probably a combo of the magic of Yelp map and reviews but I'm glad we checked it out. We both had their Reuben special and split a salad. They were large, supertasty and served with great fries. We should have just added a side salad to the Reubens because the salad was HUGE. We managed. Happy Hour adds 4 oz to your pint. Service was friendly but not pushy. I'd go back in a flash. Morning, noon or night. Great spot.

I'm back. It's been a year and I thought it was time I gave them another chance. Some of it is because I'm so disappointed in the other place I was hanging out at, but that's another review. This place really does have great atmosphere and the barista of the day is awfully cute. The people watching isn't as good as the other place but I'm willing to make certain concessions to get what I need. There's just a good feel to it so I'm hoping the service on weekday mornings is better than previously noted. I'm always willing to give a place a second chance... well, usually. The menu is pretty good with lots of appetizers, sandwiches, and salads. I think I'll have a salad for lunch.

Delightfully, predictably yummy. I work down the street from here and our company considers the Side Door to be a solid go-to. Every soup I've had: delish. Their sandwiches never fail to make my day and their specials always hit the spot. It's a cozy little place with very friendly staff.

  • Christian B.

Great lunch spot. Interesting sandwiches at a fairly good price. The staff, like what everyone has been saying, is top-notch - very friendly and nice. Hoping I can check out their coffee selection some morning when I'm in need. Having a positive experience when doing that will help push this review up to five stars. Don't miss the pinball machines in the back!

Wow. Haven't been here for a long time. So good!

  • Michelle M.

I would go back here. It is near where I work which is convenient, but beyond that it has a cozy atmosphere with an interesting theme. (The tables are made of doors!) I only had a beer and a cappuccino but the staff was friendly and knowledgable. The staff really seemed like they enjoyed each other and working there which makes you like the place even more.

Discovered this place by accident, but now seek it out regularly. They make a seriously tasty portabella mushroom sandwich that I get every time. They also have really good fresh soups everyday. What is not on the menu, but they continue to make custom for my boyfriend every time, is a grilled chicken sandwich with pesto and provolone. Big thumbs up for the very friendly, non-pretentious staff!

Can I just start out by saying, "I love this place"? It is exactly the kind of place I would hang out at all the time if I lived closer. Way cool patrons, super waitstaff, and prices that I find to be great. It's like a really cool bar where you can get a Red Stripe and an excellent espresso as well. They have beer and wine and last I heard were close to getting a full on liquor license. The tables are actually old doors - the name of the place is The Side Door after all. Besides several tables in the middle there are booths on the side that you can actually adjust the lighting - way cool for setting the mood for the type of atmosphere you're looking for. Typically people are here with their laptops using the free WIFI, sipping some delectable brew and noshing on one of the fabulous food offerings. Definitely laid back. I understand it is an offshoot of My Father's Place, just around the corner on Grand. I've only been in MFP a couple of times and it was not a memorable experience. The Side Door definitely is an upgrade with better atmosphere, nicer staff, and way better grub.

The food is great. The staff is great. The bathrooms are gender neutral and well maintained. When the local color come and ask if you want a date, the staff is ON IT and chase them off immediately.

Finding parking on the street is difficult, and I would give them 5 stars if they found space for more taps, but my girlfriend and I were hooked after our first visit. I had a couple minutes to find a nice place for us to eat a late Sunday night dinner in the post-apocalyptic SE industrial district, and Yelp came through. The Side Door's sandwiches will impress even the most jaded sandwicheer. Their soup was also incredibly delicious. They have a stack of reading material and games, and based on the patrons who were nerding out on their computers, I assume they have wifi. I think the overall ambience made it the coziest bar I've ever been to, complete with customizable mood lighting. I should also note that the bartender was working alone, but he was still helpful and attentive to everyone in the eclectic crowd (everyone from tattood mohawked dudes to a family with a small kid). So I'm calling dibs: when the zombies come, we're holing up here.

We love, love, love the French Dip, the service and the coffee house bar atmosphere. We did not love the Reuben or Turkey Reuben. They were super salty and the sauerkraut was overpowering. Not sure if there was 1000 island on there at all. Will be back to order 3 French Dips for the three of us, though. The bartender makes a mean Latte, as well.

  • Colleen B.

Super prices, friendly and cute staff as well as yummy sandwiches. Went here to brunch and we all had bagel sandwiches & coffee. I found the chai too sweet, but I'm picky. The decor is adorable too, tables made of doors and table legs made from pipes. Industrial chic?

I had no idea this place existed until a coworker dragged me there for lunch. And a very welcome new addition to my lunch options it is! We sat right down and were helped immediately. I ordered the Morrison Melt (a grilled 3-cheese sandwich) with a cup of their homemade veggie beef soup. Both very good and rich. The grilled cheese was a bit much for me, panini-grilled with plenty o' butter, and I ended up regretting getting something so heavy and having to go back to work. (Thank the gods I'm not lactose-intolerant... yet.) But the prices are reasonable for the quality, and the place has a nice "yeah, we're not a fancy place, but not scummy either" vibe. I'll definitely be going back, though perhaps trying something a little less coma-inducing.

  • Elizabeth E.

Delicious! I had a phenom portabello sammie and the bf had a french dip to die for. The drinks were SUPER boozy and the staff was on it. The coolest part was in the booths: They have adjustable light fixtures in each booth so you can "set your own mood." Awesome!

Walked into this place for the first time tonight with a serious craving for coffee. I was amazed by the warm, intimate atmosphere and the friendliness of the barista working the counter. Amel, you are awesome! I'm going to start bringing visitors over here instead of trying to serve them coffee out of my aging percolator. It'll be less painful for everyone involved, and maybe we'll even get in a game of pinball while we're there.

  • Alex Y.

Went to go to slow bar, but it was closed. Have been in this area quite a bit and never tried the side door, but one visit and I'm hooked. Best pastrami in Portland.

    Grilled cheese. So good.

I love the Side Door. The staff is always super friendly and cute, and food and coffee is always delicious. My fave is the fuji salad. Great drink menu, and fun atmosphere for anytime of the day/night.

  • Steve C.

I hadn't been here in a couple of years, and it has gotten even better. Think of The Side Door as a bar, but with better food and less smoke. Or as a restaurant, but with quick service. Small, comfortable, not too quiet, not too noisy, with a wide array of drinks. Their nachos are still my favorite in Portland.

  • Veronica J.

I went here for lunch with some coworkers a few weeks ago... Great idea, to have doors for tables, but when people are sitting on both sides and eating off of big plates, it can be a little awkward. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had a veggie sandwich and the soup of the day (pumpkin basil). The sandwich was very messy and delicious. The soup, really good but why the basil? The soup didn't taste like basil really and it had small bits of green floating around that weren't aesthetic or pleasing in my mouth. Also, the warm bacon and spinach salad looked really delicious. I would definitely go here again.

  • Andrew D.

I love this place! Whenever I'm in the area and I have some time I like to pop in for a delicious mocha (great price) and just relax. They have excellent staff and like Emily was stating they do their job but they don't hover, they leave you be. Oh, and FYI if you get the nacho plate don't bother getting anything else it's a HUGE pile of deliciousness.

  • Aaron D.

I have been going to the Side Door for a couple of years now and I really enjoy it. The staff seem to like it too as I think some of the same people have been working there at least that long! The salads are fantastic; the soup changes and there's usually vegetarian/vegan option, and ... get this, I've been meeting with a collaborator on a new musical called "Planet Eden" and now they have a burger called "the Eden Burger". Mere coincidence? I think not -- it's the Gods rewarding us for eating there and I can only hope our musical turns out to be as fat and juicy as that sandwich!

  • Kathleen G.

Great staff. Great drinks. Interesting stuff on TV. Good music. Pretty good pinball. Great place to hang out or get work done. Cool decor. Pretty cool art up on the walls often. Great happy hour price on beer. The food is just OK but is certainly better than most of the bars and cafes nearby. Very cool place overall.

  • John M.

This place is fantastic for lunch. The kitchen is always creating new sandwiches and other dishes, and they're always good. The staff is extremely warm without being smarmy.

    Nice atmosphere. Singing barista.

  • Tom M.

Bagel sandwich is the jump. Plus, it's small and never too busy. Solid beer selection for a little place. Friendly service (that borders on too-laid-back). Outside seating in the nice weather. Cheap. Good. Check it.

    (5)
  • Krista T.

Never too busy and always nice the Side Door is a sweet place to grab some awesome eggs benedict or breakfst scramble. Emphasis on without the wait! Looks like a dive bar from the outside, but the inside has the Portland balance of 'we don't care' (like partially exposed brick), vs. the 'we care' details of fresh brewed coffee, local organic juices and Wi-Fi./ The pricing for the food is great- below average for a breakfast place - but the juices, coffees and extras seem to be a little more expensive. Outside seating is cool, but its between MLK and Grand (on Washington) so you're getting a lot of cars and noise.

  • Erin K.

Yum, they have good sandwiches and salads, and quite a bit of variety. Very reasonably priced with a bit of creativity that keeps me coming back. I would highly recommend their Stark dip or any of their toasted sandwiches. This is close to my work and tends to be where I go when I want to eat out for lunch, especially when I have had lunch dates.

    (5)
  • Adam W.

Rating this place entirely on lunch. This place is great - an awesome option in the SE industrial area. Staff is all friendly and cool. The food is relatively quick, fresh, fairly priced, and the menu has an extensive selection compared to most lunch places in the area. They have a good atmosphere inside, and some outdoor tables with umbrellas. A nice surprise, glad I checked this place out. It'll definitely make the regular lunch rotation. I'd like to check it out after work some time and see what it's like for happy hour and beyond.

  • Daniel M.

a great place to get good quality sandwiches and soups, there specials are always a good choice and the pasta salad is super tasty. it also serves till midnight.

  • Steven W.

The food is pretty good here, as is the drink selection. But the service is slow and indifferent. Verdict: go somewhere else if you can possibly avoid this place.

  • Emily L.

Good food, reasonable prices, and a great atmosphere. I was meeting a friend who I hadn't seen in awhile, and PDX was the ideal "middle" for both of us. We found The Side Door (from Yelp) and were really pleased with the recommendation. Staff is friendly and attentive, but give you your space and don't linger. Would definitely recommend The Side Door to anyone.

  • John L.

This is a perfect spot to have a casual night with a friend or five or to just visit alone and get some work done. The staff are relaxed and super-friendly. The food always comes in generous portions. Reading lamps seals the deal!

  • Bianca C.

Umm... Stop here. Do it. You won't regret it. First of all, everyone in the building is super friendly and very accommodating to your needs, suggesting delicious recommendations off the menu if you are unsure and letting you know about local happenings to get involved with that day. Second, the sandwiches and salads are delicious! The taste is fresh and the perfect blend of cheeses and meats for a mouth watering blend. Don't skip a local beer with your sandwich, definitely hits the spot. The ambiance on the inside is rustic and trendy, everything you'd expect from Portland. The outside seating is minimal and not the most scenic as it overlooks the gas station.

Found this place while waiting for a windshield replacement over at Apple Auto Glass. Cosy little fusion place (Coffeeshop, Bar, Deli) This place has the most AMAZING Arnold Palmers I have ever tasted! They make their own tea and lemonade here and I can say I've never had another as tasty as the one's here. The sandwich I had "Thin Lizzy" was good and the portion was plenty generous. I enjoyed my americanos as well. Service was great and they made sure I had what I needed for what was an extended visit for sure.

  • Nat N.

Food is good but not many choices for folks with allergies and intolerances. Interior is cute with a cafe vibe, & offers a full bar. Server is friendly but seems a bit too busy to give attentive service. Offers board games that are good for 2 or more people! 4/5, would come here again.

  • Emma C.

Great stop for sandwiches. They have generous portions and a really laid back atmosphere!

The Side Door was nice and quiet! Very dim-lit but set the mood of a laid back place. The workers were friendly and had nice smiles.

I had a very pleasant lunch here yesterday. It is relatively small. It is priced fairly. It has a comfortable feeling inside. I raised the average age two fold when I entered. Very good service. We had a couple of sandwiches. Mine was a modified Reuben. It was very good, cooked just right and the right size. I think I will pass on the chips next time. They were too good and not on my diet. Very good lynch at a fair price. I will come in again.

  • Miranda B.

I come here all the time on my brake and every time it takes 20 minutes for my appetizer to come out and the service is very poor I have to go to the bar to get my silverware and water and my food was also cold and when I asked them to reheat it they were pushy about not wanting to do it I hate this because the food is great and then now I just asked for water and the lady didn't even acknowledge me and said nothing wth?!!!!

I love this place for a lot of reasons. It is unassuming, tucked away in the industrial waterfront area of Portland in an area that doesn't seem like it should have much in the way of coffee/food places. The atmosphere is really chill, and the place is never crowded so it is easy to sit down and grab a drink or food. They also have a ton of board games and, inside an old army ammo container, pre-made Magic the Gathering decks which definitely brought back some nostalgia for me. The place I guess is a coffee shop first and foremost, but it feels like a bar with a lot of wood and booths and such. The coffee is good here, I've had drip and some cappaccinos from here and they have always been good. The food is definitely decent, although my favorite thing on the menu is the grilled cheese. They put herbed cream cheese along with other melted cheeses on it, and it is pretty damn good. The other sandwiches I've had have been OK but I haven't had anything comparable to the grilled cheese so I pretty much get that everytime. To me, this place is a great winter location for when it is rainy out and you want to go somewhere to hang out with friends and have coffee and just bullshit the day away. I went with 3 friends once who all used to play Magic in high school and we had a blast playing 4 player games with the pre-made decks from the ammo canister and drinking coffee and beers and reminiscing. It was a nice time, and this is a nice place and you should go and check it out sometime.

Super friendly place with a nice atmosphere. I can come here and study in a corner booth or I can bring friends and have a few drinks- very versatile. Also, their chai latte is super sweet and delicious.

  • Tracy M.

The food was amazing! The pickle was super sour and delicious. We had a picky group (dairy free one and no vegetable other also a vegetarian) there was something amazing for each of us. The bacon is thick and perfectly cooked. Yummy bloody mary and fresh squeezed grapefruit mimosa are to die for. Our waitress/bartender/barista was super polite, friendly, and attentive. We will come back again and again.

Interesting spot. Nothing special in food or atmosphere. Could be a crazy cool little spot if the upped the food game quite a bit.

    (3)
  • Chris B.

Stark dip, get at me! I like this place a lot because it's a laid back group. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I came at 6:20pm on a weekday and the waitress said they only take to-go orders the last hour now? Which was BS but it seemed like she was in a hurry to leave. I ended up just leaving. The stark dip and beers are the reason I come back tho!

    (4)
  • Daniel L.

The food was real good. The bar itself is real nice. But wow the service sucks. One of the girls was delivering or food and as she was at our table she turns her had to talk to other customers. So rude!

    (2)
  • Annie S.

The food is fresh and delicious. Well done. The sandwiches are amazing. The dip is my personal favorite. But the salads are mouth watering as well. The decor is cool. Local art posted everywhere with the price if you like to buy. The have alcohol also. They are open in the morning and make somewhat decent coffee. The staff is usually pretty nice. Never had an issue. Oh and the hummus is amazing! Pretty much it's all good. Chips are a buy hard I've noticed so I always get a side salad instead. If you sit outside watch for bums. They are totally nuts in that area. But Hey. That's Portland.

    (4)
  • Liza S.

Best salad EVER. Period. I will go back any time I want an amazing salad at an amazing price. They make all of their dressings, and the blue cheese was seriously the best I have ever had. Leaps and bounds beyond any other. The service was amazing, and the ambiance was very pleasant. The lighting at each table is adjustable, which I though was pretty cool. They have something for everyone, meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Though it doesn't have that weird "hipster-vegetarian" vibe at all. I highly recommend it to anyone!

  • Zachery M.

I went to lunch here with my boss and it was okay. It wasn't anything I would have to try again but it wasn't bad either. I enjoyed the potato soup that I got on the side and my sandwich was good but nothing special. I guess my reasons for only giving the restaurant three stars are the service felt a bit slow and the portion was a little small. Also I didn't love the horseradish aioli on my French dip and I like horseradish.

    (3)
  • Erica S.

Went in for a quick lunch on my husband's lunch break. I got the nachos since we had our 3 year old son with us and there weren't a lot of options for him. The nachos were not great. Reminded me of what I used to make as an after school snack growing up. A pile of chips with cheese microwaved on the top. The cheese was only on the top chips. The bean dip is served on top and is cold. They also forgot the avocados, which I had to ask for. My husband got the ham sandwich, which he liked, except for a horseradish flavor which he thought might be in the mustard. It wasn't mentioned on the menu. The ambiance was nice. The service was okay. Not sure I would go back.

I this place both in general and for a specific purpose. In general it's a fun bar with good food and decent beer and they have some super fun activities like game nights and the like. Specifically when I need to be on a phone call and I can't be at home, this place is really good for hanging out in without being disturbing to other patrons or getting bothered myself. Maybe being on the phone for an hour is rude to them, but they really never seem to mind and I love not just sitting in my car waiting for it to be over. I've tried their nachos and I really like them. the rest of the food is good, but that is definitely the stand out in my mind.

Dinner is slow and service was bad. My chicken salad wrap was meh- moms stark dip was pretty good. The place was dead- literally no one else inside, but they seem to be more of a lunch place so that was ok. Still expected to be thanked and served in a timely manner. Will not be coming back.

  • Jack Straw W.

Really cool vibe, and a great little place to eat and drink. My table was made out of a door. Other than having to contend with the knob, it has a really classy touch. I loved the food! My wife's gonna love this place!

  • Elle C.

I love Greek anything; Greek salad, Greek pizza, Greek sandwich, you name it. This place has the best Greek item I've ever had, their Greek salad. It is so good I can't bring myself to order anything else! Guess I'll have to hit this place up for lunch and dinner on the same day to try other menu items. I always order to-go so I can't speak much on the atmosphere or service.

    (5)
  • Gary S.

The food was good and as described on menu. It was freshly prepared and tasty. We had a group of 4, which included one vegetarian, and one non-drinker. Everyone left with a full tummy and an enjoyable Sunday dinner.

  • Emily H.

Food was good but the Nachos top layer was cooked but the cheese in the layers were not melted through and the potato was overpowered by vinegar. That being said the food was quick and sandwich very good. The wait staff though was the reason for the low rating, unfriendly and when we were served she disappeared outside and sat visiting with her friend. We waited to get check and debated on whether to go and get her or what to do, about 15-20 minutes of waiting.

    (3)
  • Olivia O.

I think there are regulars here, and that's very cool, but it also is one of those places that, if you're not a regular, your service might be suspiciously slow because the waitresses are having a laugh with their buddy who just walked in. Okay service, not great, just meh. I've tried a few things off the menu: the sandwiches are generous, though sometimes a bit on the dry side. The Mac & Cheese dinner is watery - I took maybe three bites and felt ill. It tastes more like shells in milk than shells in cheese. No bite to the milky dairy mess. I went home hungry and wished I hadn't wasted my money. The beers here are nice, they have a great Franziskaner (I think), but it's just...I can get those beers at other bars and restaurants where someone won't confuse the fact that I tipped well as sign their food or service wasn't subpar.

  • Mike G.

What a great find! From the outside you would never know it is so cool on the inside. It is like some places you would find in NYC and/or Boston. The menu is very interesting and everything we have tried has been fantastic! Great specials and the pricing is on the lower side which is a bonus! We found the service to be spot on too.... Check this place out if you have not been!

This place is great: good menu and food quality, nice tap selection, cozy atmosphere. We were even pleasantly surprised by our tiny bill. I haven't tried the coffee, but they serve the real deal espresso if you need it. There's a happy hour menu and drink discounts too. Wish I'd managed to go their sooner. I plan to be back, as it seems to be the most inviting place in the area and opens earlier than many neighboring bars.

I absolutely hate writing negative reviews. There are very few that I have written and I'm going to assume with all the Good reviews that I must've caught this place at the wrong time. I was working in the area and was looking for a place to get a good salad to-go. Yelp leads me to The Side Door. Walked in, no line, ordered the Fiji Salad and added chicken. They had several other to-go orders and the kitchen seemed a bit busy. It took about 30 min to get my salad, which seems like a LONG time for a salad. I thought maybe because I added chicken it took SO long. I get back to the office and open the salad, the chicken is SO over cooked it is inedible. Maybe it was put it in the microwave and forgotten? My plastic fork broke trying to eat the chicken. The raisins were clumped together like they had been in the raisin box forever. Paying $9 plus a $1 tip for a salad that was mostly inedible was VERY disappointing.*sigh* and I'm still hungry...

I don't leave reviews too often but this place was awesome. Nice and quiet pub type atmosphere and the food (chicken club) was amazing. I'll probably go back every time I go to Portland.

I can't say too much about the side door other then the bada$$ half nacho is really filling, made with three people in mind. Generously made layered cheese and corn chips crowned with sour cream, avocado, jalapenos, and a side of salsa. The 'dirty chia' is my go to coffee option. Mocha's are alright depending on who makes them. I've ordered a few PBRs during their happy hour and struck a conversation with the staff on shift.. This place is a hipster-ish drop in.. Sure I'd take a group friends here IF they would turn a game on and serve a pile of nachos for us.. -The Side Door-

I actually came here twice in one day and both times my coffee was absolutely perfect. Hot, foamy, and not too sweet. Side door is best place for doing "coffee business," Lunch, first dates and happy hour drinking. They always play good tv shows, most recently I watched the original Transformers series. The staff has such great taste in music and its never too loud.

The next time we (we being us, not you and I) go out after work on a Friday night for happy hour, I'm going to recommend The Side Door. We were just looking randomly through Yelp for some place to go on the East Side last week and finally decided on here. The reviews are good, so I shouldn't have been surprised by the good food and service, but walking in for the first time I didn't have the highest hopes. My pretty high hopes, followed by lowered hopes, were quickly raised higher than my pretty high hopes. I don't think that made sense, but hopefully you get the idea. The service was great, the restaurant was comfortable and inviting once you're there. The food was pretty much great, the only thing holding it back from a five star review was that my sandwich was a little too salty and the chips were very oddly (in my opinion) flavored. Usually, I look past my own food issues and recognize that most people will like something. However, I'm filing the flavoring of the chips under "different for the sake of being different." While the sandwich was a little salty, it was still really good. The other two with me also seemed to really enjoy their food. I left here eager to return. I recommend that you give it a chance, too. Oh, the drinks were pretty good and quite cheap! I almost forgot the most important thing!

Over the years I must have driven past this place at least a dozen times, yet I never noticed yet. After eating here, I must admit, I was sad, if not crushed, that I didn't try this earlier. It's not a bad location, it's cozy and great for a small group to gather for some post work adult beverages. But the real gem is the sandwiches. They have a great variety of hot and cold sandwiches, eat one seems to yell "eat me." I had "The Cure" sandwich, it was toasted perfect, not burned, moist and piled high with good things. My only real complaint is the chips, next time I'll opt for a different side. The chips were a little off, almost greasy and over salted. By far one of the best sandwich places I have ever been to. I look forward to going back many more times. One word of warning, there is a parking lot next door that is permit parking only. Apparently this is a issue, there are signs inside to warn you not to park there. There also just happened to be a tow truck waiting for unsuspecting customers to park there.

Simple and delicious food, perfectly satisfying portions, great tunes that aren't too loud. A great place to unwind after a long day! Loved the quiche special, but my husband was WOW'd by the King sandwich!!

Side Door is a pretty good option when you're working in this neck of the woods and you're craving a salad or a sandy. Benefits include not having to be asked if you want your sandwich in the 6 or 12 inch variation, and nice cheap prices. They serve a couple of tasty beers as well, which always helps lunch seem less like it's in the middle of a work day. Not destination worthy, but definitely a good option if you're in the hood.

Fantastic salads (big salads!) and sandwiches (try the Grand Grinder). Great for lunch or casual, post-work dinners but if you're in a hurry phone in your order and take it to go.

Lunch sandwiches were just OK. They were actually a little pricey for what you get. Cooks there use an old trick: they stack the meat deep in the center, so when it's cut, the meat looks plentiful. But all you have at the edges is bread.

They have pinball! the food is random and usually boring and strange. the servers are nice and the art is different. I like it here, but only because it's near work. I'd rarely make this a destination..?

My friend and I stumbled upon this bar randomly when looking for bars in SE. This is the perfect environment for a few friends to get together. There were a couple other people here just sitting alone reading books or on their laptop. We played scrabble, drank mimosas and had a killer dinner. I got a cobb salad that was HUGE and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious! Not overpriced either, for the amount of food we got. We'll definitely be back!

A cozy dive joint, minus the divey! I first went here a couple years ago and remember trying their AMAZING grilled cheese (The Melted Morrison). So lately was getting a craving for it again and decided to go back. It was just as good as I remember. The atmosphere is very casual and comfy without being dank or dirty. Great for a friendly catchup or date. Not to mention excellent food and service!

The Side Door is my favorite place ever, so don't come here. In fact, it sucks. It most definitely does NOT have some of the best sandwiches in Portland. Its staff are NOT super friendly. It's NOT cozy and inviting. Its coffee (Mt Hood Roasters) is NOT super tasty And it's nachos are NOT super bomb. So stay away. I beg of you. I like short waits and the fun atmosphere. On a side note, Sundays they have back to back movies from 8-close. Always fun. Don't go. That's my night.

Stopped in for a quick beer with my 12 year old son. Cute place. Sat outside & relaxed. Bartender was very pretty & kind. She was blasting N.W.A and apologized for it. But I told her it was fine my son isn't sheltered :)
