Ok. One. This was my first (and last time) here. They obviously have no idea what yakisoba is. I got a bunch of over-cooked fat noodles, chicken was over cooked (and I suspected reheated in a microwave and no vegetables to be found. They were wayyyy to expensive. But, I should have walked out right when I walked in. It is very dingy. Very dirty. This place is a definite pass. Now sitting here hoping my daughter and I don't get food poisoning from the little chicken we did eat.....

I have been hearing good reviews about this hidden gem, and decided to try it today. It did not disappoint at all! My brother and I came in hungry during brunch time and we ordered a bowl of bibimbap (or bim-bim-bop as written on their menu). We've had bibimbap at korean restaurants before, and this one is not far off from there. Price and service are nice as well. I am interested to try other menu and will definitely go back.

I have to say this is where yelp opinions went wrong!!! I have no idea how anyone could think this is the best teriyaki place around, nor remotely good. Apparently you haven't been to Du's on the Eastside ***which this is nothing like***. I have to agree that the family that runs this is super kind, however their food is just not good. I stopped by at lunch time, there was only one person eating inside. The first thing you notice when you walk in are the prices which are way too high. The pictures on the wall are not helpful at all, as they look like they were taken and printed in the 70's. Their combos are obnoxious, as every combo is Teriyaki chicken and something! Sometimes, a girl just wants some pork and beef! I got a Combo #9 (Teriyaki Chicken, Spicy Pork, and Teriyaki Beef, vegetables, and steamed rice along with 2 eggrolls which set me back $11.85. I do have to say the portion of rice is so large in comparison to the meat, that it looks like you are getting alot, but really you are just getting a pound of rice. The eggrolls were good, nice and crispy (maybe slightly over cooked), but from the picture they look like pre-rolled from a box kind, so not anything impressive. The sweet and sour sauce was way more sour and acidic than sweet. The teriyaki sauce alone was more salty than sweet. The chicken was dry, the pork was okay but not spicy, and the beef was not anything special. None of these meats were grilled, they all tasted like they were just sauteed or cooked on a flat top, and that's not teriyaki. I want grill taste with my teriyaki meats! The veggies were just overcooked frozen vegetables with some added cabbage. Definitely not worth the money, definitely never going back for teriyaki. I'm willing to try their ramen, but I'm a little hesitant...maybe one day.

Good food. Nice atmosphere. Its a little on the expensive side, but all in all a good place to eat. Ill put it on my places to go.

So happy I found this place right off highway. Small with good size parking lot. No wait and so delicious! Big size bi bim bap! For only 8.50.

Loved their Bimbimbap ($8.95)! Very authentic version that came with rice, beef, spinach, carrots, radish, bean sprouts, zucchini, fried egg, and lots of gochujang. I got it to go and when I opened up the box I smelled the wonderful aroma of sesame oil. Each individual ingredient was good and even better when mixed together and it's my favorite bibimbap that I've had in Portland. It was a huge serving too so it's enough for two meals. I'll definitely be back for more and hopefully try some of their other dishes but bibimbap was so delicious that it'll be hard to resist it.

OK I am just a big fan of hole-in-the-walls. I love their bibimbap and I think they nail is perfectly ... for $9.

The best Bi bim bap in the Portland area! It's seasoned perfectly and they use shredded beef--not ground, which I like. The portions are generous and will definitely leave you full, or with some leftovers. The only negative about the dish is that they don't offer it in the sizzling bowl. The decor leaves a bit to be desired, but serves it's purpose. If you call ahead, it takes about 10-15 minutes for take-out.

Sooooo good. I loved the bibimbap and the man behind the counter was incredibly nice. Teriyaki chicken and yakisoba noodles were a hit too.

By far our most favorite place to get our teriyaki bowls. The best sauce! And he always sells me sauce to go at a great price.

Great food. Eat here all the time and haven't had one bad experience! You won't be disappointed

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant! The only thing we would change if we could is to make the hours longer, but that is just because we love it so much we could eat it any time of day. The food is delicious, the portions are large and the price is low.

This has become my new favorite place to eat when we come visit family in the Portland area. The food is delicious and you get PLENTY of it! I tried the Bimibap last time and I think it has become my new favorite dish on the menu. (from what I have tried) My youngest daughter ordered the po tsticker plate. They were easily the best pot stickers I have had! The restaurant is clean and the man behind the counter was very friendly and kind. I think Teriyaki Bowl will be on our list every time we are in town. I highly recommend it!

This is a little hole-in-the-wall place that's kind of tucked away, but I'm glad I walked in the door. They have a Spicy Pork that's incredible. I've had a few things on their menu, like Chicken Yakisoba, California Rolls, etc. and most of it has been pretty decent. I go here every few months and pick up a combo plate (combo 9 I think) that has chicken, pork, and beef. I'd rate 5 stars but this place is pricey.

This place doesn't boast anything too fancy and it certainly doesn't have the allure of a totally done-up restaurant, but don't let the clutter and down-homeyness distract you from a great value and some delicious food. I've eaten a variety of dishes here that are not mind-blowing but decent portions and delicious. The spicy ramen, however, I have caught myself craving several times. For $6.75 it comes with a decent portion of chicken, veggies, and, of course, ramen noodles in a tasty broth. I actually caught myself craving this on a recent vacation and had to get some spicy ramen the day after I returned. I generally prefer to eat vegetarian, and this place provides plenty of options. The owners are kind and willing to answer questions in sometimes broken English. The prices have barely changed over the years and I recommend anyone in the area wanting some food to cruise over and skip the pizza and 7eleven options to try out this small restaurant. Carry out is easy and quick considering a lot of the food is prepared for you right then. Beaverton area needs more places like this--small, unassuming, and a good value.

The place is not fancy, food is great and service even better. Love their curry dish, like my Japanese mom made it! Decent California roll too... Portions are large enough for two. Service is the best and always with a warm smile. Makes you want to come back often. I do whenever we're visiting family in Hillsboro.

A hole in a wall. Served standard teriyaki Americanized fare. Bibimbap was very good though. They don't serve the usual Korean side dishes for the same price. Food is mostly rice and nor much meat.

My family and I recently got take out from this place and I must say it is really good! We didn't care for the side veggies but other than that the food was great. Fast friendly service, we have not dinned in yet but I would imagine the experience would be the same.

We had takeout from here again last night, and everything was hot and delicious when we got it home ( about ten minutes away). Teriyaki chicken bowl, yummy, oyako donburi ( yummy chicken egg green onion onion omelette over rice), katsu donburi ( same but with breaded pork katsu- also yummy), tofu plate, delicious. They were sweet and gave my daughter only broccoli as opposed to the vegetable mixture they typically give, which while delicious she deems inedible because of the presence of the dreaded ONION. Nice of them. It was tender crisp with sesame seeds sprinkled on it. She ate all of that. They are good at what they do. I saw them serve someone her bi bim bop and it looked very good. I think it comes with beef, though, which is why we haven't tried it. Wish there was a chicken version! I like the nice people who wait on us here. It's a funny little place with some good food.

I have been coming here for most of my life. They never disappoint. I usually get brown rice with chicken and veggies -so good! Their raglan is amazing also, just be prepared to take some time to let it cool before you take that first bite!

While the other menu offerings are ok, the bibimbob is excellent. In fact, until I find otherwise, it's my favorite bibimbap in all of Portland, even though it's not done in a stone pot. The ambiance and price are about what you'd expect for such a tucked-away place like this.

I've probably been to a dozen Teriyaki shops in Portland, and this one ranks as one of the best. First off, get the "K" lunch combo to showcase their most common lunch options: Teri chick & beef, potstickers, steamed veggies, & rice 1) Teri chicken: super moist and freshly cooked, great teri flavor, 2) Teri beef: the best I've had in portland; great cuts of meat, thin-cut, soft and chewy without all those huge pieces of fat/tendon that you see at virtually all other places 3) Potstickers - their sign says they're HOMEMADE...what? If true, they're the only homemade potstickers I've seen @a Teriyaki shop: they are HUGE and full of tasty pork/veggie....deep fried so they're evenly crispy (though you have the choice of pan fried or steamed, too!) So yeah, you need to try this place! $7-8 for most lunch dishes, so it's not necessarily a super-cheap meal, but the quality and quantity (enough for 2 people) makes it worth it! Definitely try this place out!

I can no longer recommend TB to anyone. The service is inconsistent. The last time I was in there they gave my to go order to someone else and gave me a different order. It's unfortunate since I've been a customer for 9 years.

When we first moved here, we were so tired we just went out to eat every night. Just being here for six months, we've probably eaten here about twenty times. Having come from an area where I got my japanese fix from favorite japanese restaurants every month, I was hoping this place would replace them. It's good, but doesn't match up. My favorite dish from any japanese place is beef yakisoba, and the beef in this place is absolutely delicious; I've tried three dishes with different beef preparation and I loved all of it. Sadly, I find their noodles to be absolutely appalling. Having ordered beef yakisoba three times, I now know it wasn't just an off day. The noodles came in a clump with what seems like no sauce cooked into it, they were sticky and tasteless. When I say a clump, I mean a clump. I grab a small bit with my chopsticks and the rest of it comes with it. I emptied about half a cup of teriyaki sauce into it to get them tasting like anything and to unstick to each other, but after trying to liven it up three times, I gave up and just order other stuff. Everything is always delicious, but I haven't ventured to order anything else that contains noodles. Also, I was incredibly disappointed with the salad... ranch dressing? I felt very cheated when I realized a big portion of my plate was just ranch salad. For the price and portion, it is reasonable. From eating at other japanese restaurants in the Hillsboro/Beavetron area, this is pretty much the best I can find other than Soba Teriyaki. The area around here is severely lacking in good food, so this is the best bet for consistently good japanese food. Pros: Decent sized portions Good tasting food Consistent taste Decent price Cons: Horrendous yakisoba noodles Boring ranch salad Very small for dining in and always the worst shows on the tv Pretty high priced for drinks, with no refills

Well, um, I hate to break the cycle but this place was severely underwhelming. I have to give them 2 stars for homemade FRESH potstickers. Not the pre-fab or frozen kind. However...there's a difference between potstickers and gyoza. Why have separate items on the menu if you're going to give the same item? Everything was wrong. HSN on their tiny ass TV. Signs in places explaining how cheap they are. "NO FREE REFILL - 50 CENT!" "NAPKIN FOR TABLE USE ONLY!" No caps on their exposed sriracha sauce (which was filled with other sauces as well). I wouldn't serve myself from those dirty things. The only thing tolerable was the white rice, and even that didn't seem cooked to perfection. Rather dry tasting. And having to put my own dirty dishes into a box with a bunch of gross, stinky dishes that were at least 2 days old (I promise not that many people dined that day by that time) pissed me off after I wasted $17+ on a bento box and some "potstickers." Should've gone to Pizza Caboose or something. P.S. I don't go to asian restaurants to have RANCH DRESSING on my salad! Gross.

This is a great place for a quick lunch. Food is generally good, the service is well-intentioned but a bit awkward. The best thing about this place is that it is in my neighborhood and a nice respite from the chain places in Tanasbourne.

Just "found" this place after driving by it twice a day for almost two years. It's a nice little hole in the strip mall. It's good. I have only tried the combo #17. But its as good if not better than du's. And its on the west side. The beef was awesome, no fat or grissle. And the potstickers are crispy and savory. Check this place out.

I love little Ma-&-Pa Teriyaki places, and this is one of the better I've come across! They have a nice range of food including chicken/beef teriyaki plates, ramen, and my favorite, Bi Bim Bop - a rice bowl with numerous cooked or pickled vegetables with beef and topped with one egg. Great service too! The owners are very friendly.

I think this is as good as it gets for Teriyaki in the Beaverton area. I pretty much eat here 2 times week for lunch. I've explored all the Teriyaki joints in beaverton, and this one is the only one i keep coming back to. I'm not sure if i agree with the 2 star rating. Yes, there TV is tiny as shat, but its Teriyaki joint, not a sports bar. Its not like you buy a Costco hotdog, walk over to the TV section and get pissed cause they don't have the Blazers game on, and then give the Costco hotdog 2 stars! Aside from that, the prices here are pretty cheap. I wouldn't go near there pot stickers or Gyozas, so for the 2 star rating chick, you ordered the wrong shat! What they do well here is in there lunch combos. Its quite a bit of food for $6-9 bucks. The bento combos are pretty good. Yes, they put ranch on your salad, but this is more of a take out place. Would it be cool if they used something else? Probably, but i don't think the demographics that eat here would like it (no offense demographics =p ). Things they do well here - Bim bim bop, Bento Combo 3 (chicken and Tempura), Special Combo K and Spicy Chicken. The bim bim bop here is probably up there with most Korean restaurants. They use mostly fresh vegetables and it comes with a red spicy sauce. Why didn't i rate it 5 stars? Cause Youngs Kitchen in Corvallis is still king! And for Mrs 2 stars, they put on some crazy Korean Mayo sauce on there salad down there! If anyone has a found a better Teriyaki joint in Beaverton, please let me know!!

Yes the signage is a bit outdated and it's a little small, but that's what I love about this place. It's quaint! Ever since I left Hawaii, it's been hard to find places that have great Asian and local food, and thank god I live two blocks away from this gem! The Bi Bim Bap is great, almost as good as my halmunee (grandma) used to make, and their ko chu jang (red chili paste) is making my mouth water right now just thinking about it. Their kalbi is perfectly marinated and grilled it falls right off the bone (my bf's fave) Definitely check this place out if you haven't yet, it's worth it :)

Alas, it's so hard for me to decide between 3 and 4 stars with this place. I gotta say, I'm pretty much an optimist, which is why I'm going with 4. I agree with a previous review that the ambiance in Teriyaki Bowl is slim to none; however, I'm not sure that's what I'd expect from such a small place. I also don't like the "no free refills" idea for most places, but I really sympathize for the people who own this place. It's down the street from several public schools, and PCC. I can imagine the crap they have to put up with. Now to talk about the food. I think the strong point for them is their portion size. I've always found the meat well seasoned and prepared. I've had a couple bad rice experiences. This is somewhat tragic for me, as I love good rice. When I say bad, it was like the rice glue you get from just not giving a shit about what happened to the rice during the cooking process. That totally sucks. Other than that, contrary to the cheap nature of not giving free refills, they have always been more than willing to offer me lots of little sauce cups when I take food to go, which is cool. I didn't think the pot stickers were very good, and they consistently have the greasiest egg rolls I've ever consumed(but I still consume them).

My first 5 star find here in Portland! Where to start... Fresh Ingredients, Generous Portions, Healthy Cooking and Great Flavor. No MSG. Clean if small dining room. I tried the large teriyaki chicken bowl and was impressed how much flavor the chicken had without being drowned in sauce. In fact there was very little sauce on it, but it was cooked just right. It came with a generous helping of vegetables. I am looking forward to going back and trying their Bi Bim Bob and Donburi. PS. If you are an aficionado of spicy food they have plenty of the rooster sauce on every table!

Awesome. Best damn Kung pao chicken I've ever had. I keep coming back and the owner is a super nice guy.

OK, this place is a bit of a dive. The signage might make the owners look a little bit, uhm, frugal. But....try the bibimbap. Don't know what the heck it is? Google it...it is a very tasty Korean dish, and they make a very good one. As can be seen in my other reviews, I root for the family-owned small business, and this dish makes the other shortcomings worthwhile.

What a great little place! The owner was so nice and patient as we scanned the picture menu on the wall. My husband's spicy pork was fragrant and just the right level of kick to it, with red pepper and onion strips. He gave me a bite of it and I can't wait to try the Kung Pao chicken because it's clear they know their spicy cuisine. My chicken teriyaki bento box with tonkatsu was great too. The chicken was sprinkled with sesame seeds and lightly saturated in Teriyaki sauce, the fried pork cutlet wasn't over done, and rice was good too. What a great cheap little spot. We will be back!

This place was good. The food was fresh. My standard measure is spicy pork and it was spicy. I was sweating while I was eating. Overall was really good. I'll have to come back and try other dishes.
