I knew I should have just gone next door and gotten some teriyaki instead...but I got lured in by the thought of Pad Thai. They have a lunch special for $7.95 for an (1) entree & (1) side...let's just say I did not spend it well nor did I get what I paid for. I thought the price was a bit more than your average thai place for lunch, but you get a side with it so whatever. I got some Chicken Pad Thai & (1) Fresh Roll, that's right ONE Fresh Roll...I'm sure I'm not the only one that assume when you order a side roll that it comes in a pair...but again it was a lunch special, so maybe I'm just being a greedy fat kid. But seriously this thing was put together so sloppy with vegetables falling out on the sides, and I could not see the tofu anywhere, it was so sliced so thin and small I could have mistaken it for a slice of iceberg lettuce. The peanut sauce however did smell heavenly with the scent of fry ginger in it. After seeing my Fresh Roll I didn't have very high hope for my Pad Thai, and...sadly I was right. The chicken smelled a little burnt even though most didn't look like it was, the dish is too sweet and sour for me. Usually I like to squirt some lime over the top, but this was already too sour with vinegar...really ruined it for me. The place is really cute and the ladies are very nice with really good service, but I'm going somewhere else next time on my lunch break.

Delish food! Friendly service!! Doesn't look like it'll be good, but the food was delicious!! I'm coming back!!

Very good khao kha moo. This is pork hock so be ready for some gelatinous texture. The girl that took my order asked if I was sure I wanted it. Delicious flavor of cinnamon and or anise. Very tender and well done. Rice had some sauce on it. Oddly the rice was the weakest part. I can't put my finger on it but tasted too starchy or something. Greens under the pork were good albeit slightly oily. Hot sauce is the bomb. Makes sriracha look like pansy sauce. I'd go back.

Well, have eaten a lot of Thai food in my lifetime, here & in Thailand. Service was very good, friendly. Takeout wait was long because of a lot of orders in front of ours. Now the food: considering the price, three of us agreed the portions were small. One of the dishes we ordered was the most expensive (Mango Posse) and it had very little seafood in it - tasty, but not worth the price. Overall prices seemed high for the portions, sort of like the nicest atmosphere Thai restaurant without the atmosphere. Convenient to inner NE but will probably go elsewhere in the future. 3 mains, small dessert, free Fresh Roll (nothing to write home about) came to $42.

We love this place. Yes, it's in a strip mall with no ambiance. But it's cute inside, and the food is delicious. They offer more options than your average American Thai place, and the staff are friendly. We've ordered the Khao Moo Young (Charcoal marinated pork), the Khao Ka Moo (slow cooked pork hock in five spices with chinese broccoli and boiled egg), and the Khao Moo Gaub, and they were all super tasty. I appreciate that you can get brown rice with any meal. The Lloyd District isn't amazing for its selection of food (although if you're in the market for a new car or mattress, you're in luck), so we welcome this new option to our neighborhood, and hope to spread the word!

Excellent conventional Pad See Ew and Khao Moo Yang. Very sweet Thai Iced Tea, just the way I like it. This is not high-end Thai, it's just really good. Bizarrely fast delivery to The Pearl. We'll definitely be ordering from them again.

Good, quick Thai food. The pad thai was not quite what I'm used to getting at other places but I really liked it.

The pork hock thing and the fried chicken are supper yum. Not thrilled with the Pad Thai. It was OK. The mango thing is good, but overpriced. One of the few decent delivery options for Thai!

The time i got there my good wasn't ready, i understand because the dish i ordered is not easy to make. The lady gave me the thai ice tea smootie while i waited. Finally food done! Its worth the waited people give them a try! Thank you taste of bkk for tasty food! I'd be back when i want thai street food!

Never had a bad experience. Food is amazing and they deliver to NW! I think this is my 5th time ordering from them this month. The driver even called me 20 minutes before they were supposed to be there to let me know he may be delayed by a couple minutes due to the busyness. He showed up five minutes early and had a smile on his face! Really like the spice level realness :)

Delicious food in a clean modern store front in an otherwise nondescript strip mall. It's a little spendy for lunch but I think it's on par with some of the really popular food carts with Asian foods.

The Pad See Ew is really good here. It's how Pad Thai Kitchen's USED to be. Probably my favorite Pad See Ew besides Tarad Thai.

After asking numerous people about where to find a good Thai restaurant and getting the same response "pok pok noi" I decided to venture out. I was staying at the Crowne Plaza in on NE Weller and decided to walk to soak in the Portland scenery. Unfortunately it started to rain as I was trying to get to Pok Pok Noi and I stumbled across this place instead. They have lunch specials from 11am-3pm which include your choice of Padt Thai, Padt Kee Mao, Yellow Curry, Red Curry, Padt Cashew (whatever that is), and Orange Chicken. You also get to choose between an egg roll, crispy wonton or Fresh Eggroll. Lunch Specials are $7.95. I worked at a Thai restaurant for about 7 years and one of my best friends is Thai. I know good Thai when I have it. Take my recommendation and eat next door at Mashita Teriyaki instead!!!!

Ordered Pad Thai and Chow Mein because the lady on the phone had a real hard time taking our order. This wouldn't usually be what I order, but either we didn't have a good phone connection or my Thai is so bad that she couldn't understand me. Anyway, the pad thai was fine. A little sweet and greasy. Chow Mein had a lot of veggies in it. She then said we needed to order more food to have them deliver, so we got an order of fresh spring rolls. They were fine. Nothing to write home about. All in all, it was fine...not good...just fine.

Ordered takeout from Mai Thai, but they routed us to their other location, Taste of Bangkok, as they were apparently closed. They offered us free delivery, so we took it. My friend got the tofu pra ram, which seemed fresh and she said was tasty, However, my shrimp Pad Thai was so awful, by the second bite, I had pushed my plate away. It was mildly spicy, but did not taste of the classic Thai spices at all. It had none of the flavors of basil and kaffir and chilli pepper, and no tamarind or palm sugar. It just tasted sort of peppery and left such a bad taste in my mouth, I had to get rid of it with mouthfuls of white rice. The texture was gummy, and the whole dish pretty much stuck together in one big glob. Worst Pad Thai, hands down, I've had in Portland.

Best thing that happened q last night was Mashito Bento being closed at 8pm. I went next door and ordered my favorite Pad Kee Mao. It was very tasty. The others in my party were equally happy. I will happily drive from Alberta arts district here anytime Thai taste buds call.

Friendly staff and quick service with very large portions. I'm always excited to see a new place opening close to my office, since the Lloyd District is sometimes left wanting for variety. The menu offers a good selection and for dinner, I suppose the prices aren't too bad, but I really felt like $10 was a lot to ask for lunch pad thai or pad kee mao. Right next door is a teriyaki restaurant that puts out an awesome bento for $4.95. Even though they call their food "Thai street food," I would say most everything on their menu is pretty standard Thai. Not sure of they are intending to ride on Frank's Noodle House's recent fame, but I wish them luck as they do seem very nice and the food is pretty good.

I had the red curry on the lunch menu and it was mediocre at best. The dish was dry, not enough curry sauce and really not that flavorful. I was very disappointed. Service was friendly though.

I highly recommend Taste of Bangkok, great in general and outstanding for its price/service range. The staff is very friendly, the service is solid (even when busy they do pretty well), and the food is excellent (if one is into really spicy Thai, I think you'll have to ask for them to go a bit beyond their normal "hot" range, though, but that's understandable as they have to be a bit safe, especially fro delivery). They also do a great job of getting to know their customers.
