Friday will be my 3rd trip into Sugar Me. The place is adorable, affordable, conveniently located, and and they are very friendly, all pros so far. The con is that in my first two trips I don't feel like it's actually been as thorough as waxing was for me. I have a hormonal condition that causes me to grow hair in places (as a woman) I'd prefer not to have it. I switched to sugaring because it is touted as being able to get rid of shorter hairs, and since they are on my face and not somewhere that can be hidden, catching them when they are shorter is preferable. I feel like maybe my last esthetician when I was waxing was more diligent in tweezing to get the hairs that were missed? I am using a different Sugarer? Sugarist? Sugarista? each trip hoping that maybe that makes a difference. The reviews for both locations seem to say Kate and or Tray are the best of the best? Friday's appointment is with Tray, fingers crossed.

Sugar Me is a place to go for hair removal. Sugaring hair removal, an ancient middle-eastern practice uses an all natural paste or gel made from food-derived ingredients like sugar, water, and lemon juice to remove the hair follicle from the root. The results can last up to six weeks. Sugar Me recently opened its new Division Street venue within a block of where I live. I found myself walking by there frequently, so finally stopped in to check it out. I was immediately taken by the pristine, beautifully-decorated, welcoming interior. Products were neatly and tastefully displayed in and around antique furniture against a modern backdrop of bold colors and good lighting. The whole vibe was sort of industrial chic-meets-great grandma-cozy. Products were of highest quality and priced reasonably. There was a beautiful decanter for water and clean glasses there so customers could help themselves, and all of the services offered and pricing written out clearly on a chalkboard. Fresh flowers added a nice touch as well. One is supposed to make an appointment for services there. I did not have an appointment the day I dropped in, but the person in charge was friendly and happy to accommodate me. I wish I could remember her name...I want to say "Celeste"...but I might be wrong, so I won't. I ordered a brow design and was quite pleased with the results. Her services were fast, professional, painless and executed with expertise. She suggested a product for me to help maintain the look, and I purchased it and have been very pleased with the results. I recommend Sugar Me highly. I enjoyed my experience there tremendously, and will most certainly return. It's great to have this business in the hood!

Holy cow! Was sugared from the rooter to the tooter last week with Kate at the Division location. What a place. What service. What a gal! Loved the whole experience. Kate is one of my most favorite people. And she is even more so now because she successfully gave me a Brazilian without me leaving the joint feeling like someone had scalded me like a cat, or so beat up & sore that I was in pain 4 days later (that actually happened to me at another popular hair removal biz). I met Kate when she was my instructor at the Euro Institute of Skincare, and was there the day she discovered sugaring as a more natural option to waxing. I never had an opportunity to try it until now. And I am in love, love, love! It makes dry skin incredibly smooth & soft. A week later I am still surprised how great my skin feels & looks. It glows! And it absolutely helped with my airbrush tan's application & longevity that I had done the next day. Still looks incredible & I know it was the sugaring that has accomplished that. I can't speak highly enough of Kate's ninja like sugaring & soothing skills. When she has to get after some tender spots she has superhero-like comforting skills. Petting your arm, pausing and taking a deep breath to clue you in to do the same. She is fast, calm, and very precise. If you haven't tried sugaring yet you really should. It really does leave your skin improved, as well as your sense of self. You just feel like a hot sugared mama ;)

After much deliberations and convincing, I finally gave and and gave this place a shot. The fact that it's only a few blocks from my place even made the decision much easier. First off, this place is super neat and lovely! I got there super early so I was able to look at some of the products they have. My appointment was with Thalia (Hopefully I spelled her name right). She greeted me with a huge smile and made sure I was comfortable during the whole process. She made time to explain the whole prices to me as well, since I told want this was my first time and I was a bit skeptical as well. Omg! I don't know why I haven't done this way sooner. It's so much less painful than waxing! It was quick and painless. I came out with barely any redness in my skin (I had my eyebrows done) and felt a lot smoother the next day. I'm never going anywhere else!

I was a Freemont fan, I am a D-street fan! By far sugaring is the best technique for hair removal. Here are the reasons why; 1. It removes the hair in the direction of the follicle growth, unlike waxing which hurts more like hell 2. Its all natural sugar based and luke warm, not hot 3. No wax strips are needed 4. Your skin just gets softer over time, believe me I am 45 5. the hair growth is slower and a lot less 6. There is no skin irritation or redness They have specials like a Supportland buy 6, get one free. They have free underwear month, and various other discounts during the year. They also have cute jewelry and stuff to buy.

No surprise, this location offers the same fabulous sugaring services as the original Sugar me! The shop is cute, cute, cute and the neighborhood is full to the brim with awesome places to eat and shop! I got my brows done, did some shopping and grabbed lunch. It was awesome. I look forward to becoming a regular.

This was my first experience with waxing / hair removal and I was very impressed by the service! I felt at ease immediately and was very comfortable throughout the appointment...Kate is awesome and I'll definitely go back!

Ladies, this place is the bomb. I don't eve know where to start. When you walk in it's very warm and inviting and decorated perfectly. It makes you feel happy just by walking in the door. Their prices are fair and I have to say it's a lot better than waxing. I've been waxing for about 10 years now and sugaring is a lot less painful and takes less time. The sugarists are really nice and accommodating. They even have a punch card where you buy 5 and get one session free. That's actually attainable! They have great coconut oils and scrubs that they use and are available for purchase, too. I'll definitely be going back!

I used to get waxed. I had my lady, she made me feel comfortable and what-not...but then I moved and lost motivation to deal with starting a new waxing relationship. I had been curious about sugaring and after some research I made an appointment here. I will never-ever go back to waxing. That's all there is to really say about it. This place is awesome, cute, clean, professional and totally reasonable. They do Supportland hookups and Trey, the lady who took care of me, was warm and friendly in addition to making me feel as comfortable as I could, given the scenario. Seriously amazing. Take it from this shy girl. If you're wondering about it, just do it. You won't regret this place.

Totally impressed! I had my first experience with Robin and she was very professional and friendly. I had a brazilian scheduled, and mentioned that I wish there was time to do my half-leg as well. She said that she had a last-minute cancellation and was able to add on the service for me, which was great. As for the results--- I have never had a more flawless brazilian wax. It's seriously like the day I was born. Legs turned out pretty good too, although I had shaved about 10-14 days before, so there were some shorter hairs that didn't come out. Regardless, there were pretty good results. The "half leg" wax extended well above my knees, so it was a really great value. My only complaint was that the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling, so can really easily hear people in the lobby and other appointment rooms, and they can easily hear you. it just feels a little odd to be having a brazilian and hearing the folks talking in the next room. Other than that, awesome, awesome, awesome. Will definitely be back.

Omg first time I have ever gotten sugared and it was outstanding, the lady did a perfect job on my eyebrows, it absolutely didn't hurt at all, she did a great job explaining every thing about the process and even gave me a discount at the end! I am so very happy with my new waxing place! Would hands down recommend this place to anyone! Great experience :)

First time getting sugared today after years of going to someone who used hard wax. I've had strips as well and sugaring is by far the least painful. Like by 73%. Felt like she was pinching me with little tiny soft fingers, compared to hard wax feeling like someone is scraping a burning matches just centimeters from my precious bits. Post wax, a little redness (to be expected) but it went down FAST. All the hairs are gone. I will never go back to other wax types, and I think I'll continue coming here. Easy booking online, I needed earliest possible wax and ended up booking with Greer who was friendly and amazing. Recommended for sure.

As someone who was been waxing for years, Sugar Me has been an incredible experience! Less painful and irritating to my skin, and my hair growth is now so much much finer and lighter. The space is very cute and clean, and the staff is great. I see Robin, she's amazing, very professional and friendly. I'll never wax again!
