Not sure how it normally is at this location (because I usually have another fav location to buy from) but I went in to get a sandwich this morning to have available for my lunch, and most of the vegetables were withered and shrunken. I left without buying. I sure hope they switched them out before lunchtime.

Since I'm the all-holy Duke of this Subway on SW Jefferson, I suppose it's high-time I Yelped it. First off, this has become my default place for a quick lunch during swing-shift at work. Literally a block away and across the street and there I am. Yes, it's a Subway and it's got all the stuff as the tens of thousands of other Subways you'll find across the U S and A. But there are some things that make me glad to give them my business. First off, the staff is super friendly. Sometimes when you walk into a chain shop the workers have that dead to the world stare working. Not here. I usually come across the same workers because I go in roughly around the same time and they always greet me in a way that feels like they're not just going through the motions. Nothing major, just enough to make me feel welcome. If there's a line, they're efficient on getting other orders started so you don't feel like you're just standing there. Again, more attention for the customer beyond what's necessary. The place is also super clean and has plenty of tables that make it inviting to stick around and eat rather than running right back out the door. Did I really just give this detailed of a review for a Subway? Yes I did. But you know what, just because it's a chain doesn't mean the people who work there aren't local. They do a good job. Check them out if you're up for Subway.

It is open 24x7. what elsedo you need :) my fave sandwich - veggie delight on italian herbs and cheese with pepper jack cheese, toasted, lettuce, green peppers, spinach, black olives, tomatoes, sauce - southwest, sweet onion and honey mustard I ve never gotten tired of subway. Its value for money

This location in particular has a very friendly staff who welcome you as soon as you walk in the door and get you on your way quickly. It's near the MAX line and not too far from the other 9 downtown locations. I personally don't like Subway at all so this review might be useless to you past the first paragraph. If you're a Subway fan on the other hand you'll thoroughly enjoy shoveling down your pile of all turkey based meats, processed cheese product, and fresh baked sawdust loaf all of which have no expiration date. Make sure you bring an extra pair of clothes in a sealed bag so you can burn the pair your wearing in the garbage can outside the entrance as you leave. No matter how many times you wash them you won't be able to get that bread smell out.

This place has definitely improved. It's still a Subway and it's still not the best sandwich, but it is not the yucky 1-star mess it used to be. I hadn't been here, or eaten anything from here, in over a year. It is cleaner. The workers seem less grungy and cleaner. And their customer service is way up! There were actually 3 people behind the counter when we left... and they were all ready to work. It's much better than their old lackadaisical style. My coworker and I went here to get lunch for the peeps back at the office (and ourselves). We were greeted right when we walked in (big improvement) with, "someone will be right with you," accompanied by a smile (not a grin or a grimace, but a little smile). The guy making the sandwiches I ordered wasn't the fastest condiment slinger, but he was accurate and there was minimum overflow outside of the sandwich. The mess factor used to make me want to go back behind the counter and clean things out. We ordered all 5-dollar foot-longs. Come on, how can you not! It's a good deal. The grilled chicken one is only $0.71 more than its 6-inch counterpart. I was disappointed in the almost $1 rise in price in the 6-inch Spicy Italian since I was last in a Subway, though. Two of us even have 6-inches of sub left for lunch tomorrow. Nice to see some nutritional information tidbits here and there (amount of fiber in bread, amount of fat in sandwich, etc.), but it does give you a false sense of eating healthy. They seem to be pretty selective about what information they post. The one thing that hasn't changed is the weird layout. There's big ramp from the door to the counter and right next to it, perpendicularly, is a wall that separates those in line at the counter to the dining area. To leave the establishment you have to either fight upstream through people still in line, or wend your way through a couple of tables. Not fun when it is crowded, but luckily, today we were there before the Lincoln High rush. I would give this place an extra star because I once saw Wilson Chow (from Northwest Cable News) here, but I think that would be over doing it.
