Even as far as Subways go this one is subpar. Firstly, don't bother going in during the day unless you want to wait far too long for a poorly and carelessly slapped together sub with the stingiest amount of ingredients you're likely to ever receive anywhere. One of the nicer employees that works there informed me that it's due to the ball-busting and cost-cutting manager. Going in at night won't find you any better off. Still slow despite the lack of customers, and if you are looking to take advantage of the "24/7" aspect of this location you have about a 75% chance of being disappointed. I live in the neighborhood and work late and it's the only thing that is open late (or at least it's supposed to be) and about 3/4 times I try going for a late night sub, they are inexplicably closed. This place either needs a major overhaul in personnel or to just get out so we have a chance of getting something in there that will truly be open 24/7. If I could rate it zero stars, I would.

The employees are nice enough and they made my sandwich quickly but what disappointed me was how they skimped on the veggies! For a chain that claims to be healthy, you'd think they'd give you more vegetables.

I like this place the only thing is just wanted to say to the owner tell your employees put a little more veggies and etc on the sandwich .

This was the worst experience ever. It took over an hour to get our food delivered and we live under half a mile away. I asked if the bread had dairy and the girl on the phone (Amanda) was annoyed at having to look into it after replying with "I wouldn't count on it". I called back about 5 times trying to find out what the status was on our missing delivery boy and they kept letting it ring. Our sandwiches were cold and completely soggy after their 30 minute bike ride sitting in a bag so we asked for our money back, but there was never an attempt to try and resolve the situation. The delivery guy was very nice and apologetic, but the girl on the phone should really take more care when taking orders and answering questions. She honestly sounded like she was annoyed, doing us favors for taking our order, and couldn't be bothered by her job. Sorry to throw you under the bus, Amanda, but your customer service skills were not on point today. Hope your day gets better. We really wanted those hangover sandwiches so I'm hoping our day gets better too. [this was written a couple weeks ago]

I drop here to this location occasionally because I happen to work near by. A subway is pretty much a subway, but there is one thing that always bugs me about this one compared to other ones. It's like they go out of their way not to support whatever the big ad campaign of the moment is pushing. I often go in there thinking I'll get whatever I'd seen on the commercial, but then when I get there I'm not even sure if they're offering it. No signage. Whenever I've asked, they've always offered it, but they seem kind of shady about not pushing their better special offers. My impression, anyway.

I have been in food service for 25 years, and a manager for over half that time. I experienced the absolute rudest customer service at this subway that I have ever had. This girl Sarah acted like it was a burden for a customer to walk in the door, and rudely demanded what i wanted like I was some filthy beggar on the street hassling her for change. Then she didn't even bother to listen to what I told her. Her attitude in general was beyond unacceptable. Abrupt, extremely rude, and just generally pissy. If one of my employees acted like that with a customer today, they would be unemployed tomorrow. I live in this neighborhood a convenient walk from this store too. And now I will walk a mile out of my way instead of shopping here.

I've had mostly good experiences at this Subway. They are open 24 hours from Friday opening through Sunday close, so if you get an itch for a foot long after stumbling home from your favorite northwest or Old Town bar, they're here to serve. There is no parking in a lot, so you are on the street in a metered space or walk in. NW 9th Ave. parking is usually open. NW Lovejoy turns into a one-way after this block so no parking now that we have the city's slightly irritating "Lovejoy - Northrup" couplet design through the neighborhood.

I've been hitting this Subway up for a while now because they offer gluten free choices and in fast food, it's not very common and it's close to where I work. After reading some of the other reviews for this particular location I do have to agree that the "sandwich artists" are not very enthusiastic about being there or making the subs, there are exceptions to that, there's 2 employees there that recognize me and tend to give better service than the others. The pearl district is not known for plentiful parking so don't expect a parking lot, or a lot of street parking for that matter but if you're walking by or just got off the streetcar it's convenient. I'll continue to stop here but wish they would speed it up a bit.

I go to this Subway before hitting the slopes. They have convenient hours, but parking is a little hard to find. There is parking on the opposite side of the street, but not in front of the store. The staff is friendly. The service is as fast as they can be. Most of the time, I'm waiting for someone else's sandwich to be completed, but I don't mind, because the service is so nice. Most of the time, it looks like there's only one person working; maybe someone else is in back. They have never made a face when I ask for extra napkins. All in all, be prepared to wait; you'll find good service and consistent food.

I go to Subway because it is a better option for healthier fast food, but this is by far the slowest subway with the least enthusiastic employee I've probably ever encountered. I waited over 15 minutes and there were only 2 people ahead of me, each of which ordered only 1 sandwich. When it was my turn, the "sandwich artist" was still ridiculously slow and when I let him know he may want to move a little faster (considering it is fast food), he said "I don't really care what you think." To which I replied "excuse me?" so he repeated himself very clearly. Upon asking his name he said "it's none of your business" and retreated to the back. I'm glad he doesn't work for me. Yikes! The next day I called to let the manager know the situation. She told me he had talked to her about it, and then she proceeded to reprimand me for being rude to him. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that the manager was backing up her employee but she probably should have known the whole story before chastising a customer.

This subway is sub par and we've definitely seen better, as you can tell by the Star Rating! I have come here several times for my lunch break and have been annoyed very quickly by the lack for speed that these people have when making someone a sandwich. Most people on their lunch dont like to wait in line for 10-15 mins for a SUB sandwich. neither do I - and this is what happened here several times. I have come here in hope to be in and out fairly quickly, as I do not like the smell on my clothes when I leave. Well, that doesnt' seem to be the case at all. you will be in here MINIMUM, 10-12 minutes. I dont think they get it, most people have a 1 hr lunch break, it takes about 10/12 minutes to walk here if you work in the area and its nice to have 30 mins to sit and eat and enjoy yourself. All in all, this Subway is slow. I'd rather go up the street to safeway or even chipotle to get something for lunch at a higher cost, if that says anything.

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty Subway. There was old sauce from previous made sandwiches on the cutting board and the sandwich maker just put my paper wrapper for my sandwich that he was to make right on top of the old sauce on the cutting board....this old sauce was still wet! I went home and threw out the sandwich. I will never come here again. Go down the street to whole foods where they will make you an AWESOME sandwich (their Build your own Sandwich in the Deli for only $6.99)....that is much bigger and much healthier meats and veggies.

It's Subway, you know what you're getting. Compared to other Subways, this one is 24 hours, and if you're down town the location is great.

UPDATE 2014: THIS FRANCHISE HAS CHANGED HANDS AND GREATLY IMPROVED. 3.5 STARS. The man preparing my six inch veggie placed a mere two tomatoes on my sandwich, and let any peppers which rolled off the bread lay where they fell upon the wrapper (which might have been understandable were he moving at an appreciable pace). After laying the lettuce down quite thinly as if the bulk of his supply were being rationed for some clandestine salad wars, I asked if he would please add more lettuce, to which he had the gall to reply with "*scoff* It's packed to the hilt." Not wanting to get stabbed with a bread knife, I conceded and went though an equally drawn-out debit purchase due to the employee's complete bewilderment by the operation of a cash register (it was as if he'd never seen one before). I'm an extremely passive individual, with a permissive demeanor, but when I unwrapped my sandwich I felt like a child who opened their Christmas present, only to discover their grandmother bought them the Taiwanese knock-off by mistake. Taking a second glance at the wrapper, I half-expected the logo to read "sobwai". Holding this thin sliver of disappointment between my fingers, something snapped within me. I approached the "sandwich artist" (who clearly works exclusively in the style of minimalism), and firmly requested additional tomatoes and lettuce. He complied and gave me a sizable amount of each (the sole reason for this review's second star). If you have the time, I'd recommend the 24-hour Subway on 2125 W Burnside. Their staff is friendly, and perhaps just a little "too" enthusiastic to be working in the food industry at minimum wage. However, considering the contrasting attitude at Lovejoy (two qualities which are in short supply) it might be a good thing.

We ate at (actually ate there rather than took food home) this Subway once and there were dead ants all over the window sill. The service is always poor and the food isn't quite as good as the other ones. The one star rating was earned last night when we went there and saw the sign taped to the counter saying "bell on door broken, yell for service." What are you doing that is more important that serving your customers? We left and went up the street to Chipotle. We made a good choice.

Very sparse on filling. Bread was hard and we kept having to ask for " more" the attitudes we were given for those requests, not good. We never went back. Can't wait to get home to my own subway!
