Ok, so I have been to this Starbuck's a few times, and have always just brushed it off as a unique experience, but I've had enough. This location is in an old sandwich shop location, across from a Starbuck's drive through, and four blocks away from two other Starbuck's. I stopped at this location because I wanted something to eat, and it's hard to pick your snack in the drive thru line. Mistake number one. I attempt to get into the one (of a dozen or so) parking spot, squeezing in barely. Out front of the store are a group of unemployable taxi drivers smoking and whooping it up. (Parking dilemma solved... all the taxi's are taking up the spots. And note, this was a problem on every visit I've made to this store.) I get through the cloud of smoke to a line of four people randomly standing around looking annoyed. Two cash registers, two employees. One barista, and someone that looks like a manager with a clip board looking clueless. Five minutes to get my order taken, then an additional 5 minutes to get my coffee. By the time I got my coffee, there was a line of 9 people waiting to get their orders taken. (They were not busy, they need a little of their own coffee and need to get with it.) Lame... Becoming more of the standard for Starbuck's, the mindless workers and mediocre coffee.

I know what you're saying, "She gave Starbucks 5 stars? Is she smoking crack?!" Why, no, actually I'm not; and its *my* review, I'll give as many stars as I want! Hrumph. It isn't that the coffee is the best (it's not - that would be Stumptown) or that I don't sorely miss the Coffee People that used to inhabit this spot. Its because this morning, when I forgot my wallet, they gave poor starving me a free latte and breakfast sandwich. Without skipping a beat. Yes, you heard it here, corporate coffee really does have a heart.

Really annoying 20 year old guy who wants everyone on the planet to hear all his stories from that wicked party last night ... The they have me a chai instead of the caramel macchiato I ordered ... And they barely put any water in the oatmeal. Pretty sure it's not hard to put water in the cup? I don't know. Maybe I'm complaining but it wasn't great.

By far the most inconsistent Starbucks I've ever visited. They screwed my order 50% of the time, and it's always something simple like sweetened iced tea. They just happen to be the only one on the way to work with the drive-through that's convenient however I'm going to have to rethink my strategy. Several super super nice people that work there, a few not so nice and of course several but just can't seem to get an order right. I've had the blueberry oatmeal but they never put the blueberries in with just plain, unsweetened iced tea at the time I go through and sometimes there's just a long wait for apparently no reason. You can't talk to the manager and they say come back to replace your food but that really doesn't work for me I just want you to get my order right.

Place was super busy, but they got my drink out fast and was perfect! I saw the manager handle many customers and dealt with some pretty rude people. She was very kind and compassionate.

Nothing special - a pretty small space. Small parking lot, but in this neighborhood, it's a welcome parking lot! Service is friendly. Coffee is standard Starbucks.

One star for being a Starbucks (convenience). Two more stars for employing a really nice, hilarious dude on the drive thru. What else do you want from me? It's a Starbucks. If you don't know what Starbucks tastes like or what they serve, go back to the rock you've been hiding under for the past 20 years.

So here's the kicker. I've gone here about 3 times a week for the last few years, ever since they ran Coffee People out of town...barista-stards. I like nothing about them other than I'm literally addicted to the syrup that's in the white chocolate mochas. It's not the kind you can buy yourself and they won't sell me any. Believe, I've tried. They ALWAYS get my order wrong. It ALWAYS takes too long. I pass, literally, six other Starbucks on my way to work, but any month with an "R" in it, I'm staying in that car, Baby. There was this amazing transgendered manager who worked the drive through when it was Coffee People. She was, hands down, the best customer service person I've ever had the pleasure of buying something from. Not to create a big political coup here (I wonder if Starbucks is like the Scientologists and can disappear people who slam them on line), but I really wish she could have been offered a role there. My morning started out well and I felt liked when she was there. Now I just have all this self-loathing and remorse that I keep going back for more. By the way - $5 x 52 weeks x 3 times per week = $780 year. Shoot me now.
