I come to this store because it's the closest one to my work. They aren't used to serving non-coffee drinks in this area. Probably because it's mostly business/industrial. They probably don't see a lot of families or children. I don't drink coffee (or dairy, or sugar,) but I like a hot cocoa or a frap too. The first time they put coffee in it and I didn't notice until I got to work. It was a hassle to get back in the car and come back to have them replace it, but hey for five bucks, I want my hot chocolate. Honestly, I think I deserved a comp, but they didn't offer and I was in a bad mood AND late for work by then so I didn't say anything. The next time I went in, I was very specific. They weren't unfriendly, but the experience definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll try to avoid this location from now on.

Friendly baristas work at this location. Access is a bit awkward from the east, but it's really designed to grab people heading in from St. Johns, Scappoose, St. Helens, etc. from the west in the morning. I have been in on weekend afternoons and the place is open but very quiet. It's consistent like any other Starbucks location. Building is shared with a Wells Fargo Bank and a (coming soon) mini mart and Subway store. Pretty one-stop shop for northwest industrial.

Tried the new app for Starbucks today. Took an hour to setup and It would not take my credit card info. So I went to the store for help. They could not figure out the app so left with no drink. Just another example of big business with poorly trained and non helpful employees. Can't say ill never go to Starbucks. But when I do I sure don't expect great service. It's just convenient.

As much as we pish-posh on the over-Starbuckization of our city (only official term dropping in this review, naturally), as much as we ho-hum the mediocrity of their over-processed bean, and as much as we love to hate this corporate behemoth, today, seeing this Starbucks stealthily perched in industrial, rundown, don't-even-go-jogging-in-the-daytime-land, made me see a little glimpse of heaven. And baby, that white light was caffeinated.

Always happy to see Starbucks when I need it. I do prefer to spend in locally owned businesses when I can, this place is the only game in this area. Thank you, Starbucks for coming to industrial NW Portland. We like coffee too!

Starbucks... ...has extended to... ...the BOONDOCKS. (Did you know that Portland had a boondocks? Neither did I...until this weekend.) And they somehow managed to pump so much caffeine into my system with an iced doubleshot (caffeine normally does not affect me at all), that I was jittery all afternoon. Hail to the pierced barista in the boondocks!
