I love this location! The staff is always very friendly and quick with orders. There is a lot of room to relax and get some work done as well. Good vibe.

Biggest Starbucks in Portland! Lots of seating, always pretty hoppin'. Nicest baristas who are super speedy and know there stuff! Jeremy's awesome! Lately we've had a few drink mishaps though - cold brews instead of iced Americanos a couple of times - not sure how you mess that up. I want my espresso when I ask for espresso! :) We always go here to chill for a few hours when it's too hot at home. Great for meeting clients/colleagues as well.

LIKE MY BUZZ UNDER TREES HERE ON 23RD! Big spacious store under the umbrella of large shade trees on the edge of the shopping district to enjoy a coffee on a warm sunny Portland morning! Or there is a direct vent fireplace to take the chill out of your bones on a colder, gray sock or rainy day. There are big windows to peer out into the streets and neighborhood as you use the Google powered WiFi.

Jeremy, barista, is amazing and adorable. I study here for my Master's program and it is a great place for people watching with nice side tables that are behind a wall and almost exclusively have people studying. Lots of nursing students here due to its proximity to Linfield school of nursing. By the way, this is one of those Starbucks with really high quality coffee if you ask.

Great Starbucks for sipping an expresso drink and getting some work done. Plug-ins are handy. Lots of room to spread out. High ceilings adds to the spaciousness. Typical friendly, cookie cutter SB. Give it a try.

I really liked this Starbucks! Spacious. Much bigger than Californian Starbucks... A lot of plugs to charge my Macbook, iPhone, and Garmin Forerunner. Barista is very nice, too! The restroom is clean.

I live by on Nw23rd and I'm a regular customer at this place. I would get my usual tall blonde coffee here every morning and a breakfast to go along with it from time to time. This morning was no different. I went to get my tall coffee and ordered a cheese Danish(@7:56AM), warmed up & to go. Ì got my drink right away. However, I stood there today and waited patiently for at least close to 10 mins before I got my order. The lady who took my order, also continued to take more orders from other customers. Worse yet, she forgotten about my cheese danish breakfast and didn't really care if I had to wait or not. I had to politely ask one of the other servers if I could please get my breakfast. I did, after 10 mintues had elapsed. The gal who helped me didn't even apologize to me for the long delay. She didn't even seem happy or enthusiastic about working there when she handed my breakfast on the counter knowing she had forgotten about it. It's unfortunate that this had to happen, and I hope this is just an aberration. But it makes me want to avoid having her help me the next time I'd go there because of this experience I had with her. I hope management would look into this matter and coach her a little bit with her attitude and time awareness.

AMAZING staff, we couldn't live without this particular location and it's brilliant staff, a boon to the neighborhood and those of us who work nearby! Thank you starbucks!

This is my favorite 4Bucks in the city. Great old velvet green chairs. Those, to me, ARE Starbucks. I want one so bad! When I went, I took my daughter around 9am on a Saturday. While waiting in line, the barista took our order and got started. Then we paid and our drink was ready pretty fast. There were WAYYYY too many skinny, sweaty, runners. But hey, it's NW pdx. What do I expect with my calorie laden, no nutritional value, caffiene rich beverage while I skim free wifi!

I've been coming here quite often to make use of their free wi-fi and get some work done. This is probably the best layout of the Starbucks in the downtown Portland area. Lots of tables, chairs and outlets! Service is always top notch and everyone looks happy to be working there. Drinks are always on point.

Ahhh yes, another review for SBux! This location is further down NW 23rd Ave and crosses Overton Street. The inside of this Starbucks is a bit more modern (heard they renovated). They are some-what busy, but it comes in waves. PERKS - Sweet and swift service! My drinks were made in a jiffy! - Lots of room to study! - Free WiFi - Clean restrooms (ample room for handicapped) - Near MAX line and Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital - In Alphabet District (near good eats!) DIRTS - Parking is only on the street and can be limited since it's in the neighborhood area (you may need to park 1-2 blocks away from the location) - Homeless people may hang out inside (rare) or outside, but that's expected when you're downtown - A tad noisy - Cold (maybe so you can purchase a hot drink?) I wouldn't mind coming to this Starbucks to study, although the parking can be challenging, the location is within a vicinity of good eats! After all that studying you would be famished anyways. You're basic, reliable Starbucks. They have free wifi which seems to be good "Rose's Cafe" #rosescafe1 rosescafe1.blogspot.com

I work at Good Sam and whenever I go for a coffee run I am sen to this Starbucks (even though there are other ones just as close). I have to give them a 5 star because they never give me a hard time about coming in with up to 15 coffee orders at once, they ask me what name goes on the cup, and they are super cool about paying separately. Very professional. I went to the Lovejoy Starbucks once with maybe 6 orders and the barista told me next time to call it in first before I come and rolled her eyes at me. What she doesn't realize is that I come when I can, there is no preparation and there isn't really any thinking forward. We make a list and whoever can go first goes. So, thank you 23rd Starbucks!

I stop by for an Iced Chai nearly every morning, the line is never too long and the staff is always friendly. They have a great interior and walking distance from my office!

Most likely the NICEST Starbucks I've been in. Don't get me wrong, I still am not a fan of the coffee but the location and the decor in this place rocks! It literally looks like a little cottage and totally matches the area.

With all the local coffee in Portland, you still run into a Starbucks for coffee or tea once in a while. This location is fast and friendly. My order was up before I had even paid. Great service!

I'm not normally one for Starbucks. Nothing against them, I just prefer local coffee shops and coffee over a chain typically. That being said, this Starbucks is AMAZING. The staff is incredible. They are always friendly and personable, and greet you with a smile. If you need coffee in NW PDX, come to this Starbucks at NW 23rd and Overton.

There's about 100 Starbucks along my daily commute, but I'm really happy this one is right next to my work. Every staff member I've encountered is super-nice, efficient, and fun to talk to. I'm happy that they are consistent. I've never had a bad experience here.

The best Starbucks in NW. Why? Because it's spacious, it doesn't have the NW 23rd shopping crowd and it's one of the few Starbucks with comfy chairs. Sometimes you just need that coffee real quick. Plus the manager is easy on the eyes.

The employees are great, but the new La Boulange bakery switch is ...Well frankly overpriced (up 15%) and the sizes compared to the previous bakery are 30% smaller ....I have been going to Starbucks since 2002.
