Happy staff, Portlandy menu with mango mimosas! What's not to love. Needs longer hours.

We had a savory crepe with egg, salami, mozzarella and hot peppers- it was delicious! A great meal or snack at any time of the day. The owners are very sweet. We would love to see this place succeed, so go and try it out! The hours are not the best though- the only ding against them. Yummy!

A very well executed savory crepe, filled with a nice compliment of earthy, salted, and caramelized flavors. Surprisingly quiet on a Sunday at 10:30am, but that worked to our advantage; no wait. Seating is limited but adequate. Mimosas available too. We'd come back.

Love this place! The couple who owns it are very sweet and have delicious crepes! There are many choices to choose from, sweet or savory! I recommend the peanut butter and banana!

Silver Moon is amazing. Not your usual hipster Portland pop up, but a well thought out, bright and cheery (and even a little hippie), with fantastic customer service. Their roots in NH surely shine through, and my girlfriend and I loved it to the max. We ordered 4 crepes (too many, but we couldn't decide!!!), and all were incredible. Then, because we had asked for recommendations and didn't choose one that was suggested (Belgian Cookie), Chris brought out one for us to eat, "for being nice customers". IT WAS INCREDIBLE, and I now see what they were talking about. Unique, sweet, and oh so tasty. Also, our juices were super yummy too. Can't wait to go back!

Cheerful service from the 2-person team. I watched the man expertly pour my crepe batter. I had the lemon blueberry crepe. Super yummy. My husband and son had savory crepes with sauce, pesto kinda stuff. Hubs had the mango mimosa. Took a sip and wishes I'd ordered one myself. Only downside is that I wish they were open earlier. Being from California, I appreciated their patience with my confusion about bussing my table according to Portland composting and recycling standards. (They actually sort it for you! Thx!!) Cute and clean decor - extremely friendly. Go and give them your money. Totally worth it!

Stopped in here after trying at two other places that had tons of reviews on yelp... Both of which had close to an hour wait (Sunday morning). I had the speculous (Bischoff spread) and added bananas. Wife had an egg, ham and Swiss. Both were really good. I also had their fresh banana smoothie which was wonderful. Good coffee and great staff (owners). In regards to the post about paper plates: didn't bother us... If it keeps the prices decent and provides the quality they produce, we are all for it. Hope this place is around for a LONG time.

I would love for this place to be successful, as the owners are terrific and nice; however the two crepes we had on our 1st try were so-so. The spinach-onion-feta crepe was filled with raw onion and spinach which I did not like; I expected cooked; the egg and ham crepe had cooked egg, not runny like in France; the paper plates put us off; I ordered an IPA and was handed a can. When I asked for a glass the owner at first said they did not have one, then came up with a plastic glass they use for juice. The crepes we OK, not great. The menu has many choices, which is good. I would like real plates and glasses, not paper.

This was my go to place back in Dover, NH so moving out to Portland was extra sweet when I found out they relocated here! Best crepes I have ever had, sweet, savory, lots of topping options and they even have options for vegans and people who are gluten free! I got the vegan version of the elvis, and definitely hit the spot!

  • Golden R.

Very disappointed. We got the banana and Nutella which was decent, but still not near the best I've had. But the Vermont was a disgrace. The green apples were not cooked in the slightest and neither was the Brie melted. The turkey appeared to be lunch meat, which I didn't expect and wouldn't have ordered because I'm not supposed to eat it being pregnant. Since we waited 30 mins with only 5 parties ahead of us, we expected a much more satisfying and delicious product. Also, from the outside it looked like a cute little French place and I was really shocked by the modern & bright decor and uncomfortable seating.

What a lovely surprise on a Sunday morning to find the new to me Silver Moon. For me standing in line for a huge brunch with way to many calories doesn't bode well for my "will start my diet on Monday". I had the turkey, Swiss and spicy tomato sauce and was happy all day. The young owners were delightful too.

So good! Got Brie and honey and a custom banana apple Carmel with Nutella! The actual crepe stayed fluffy held all ingredients well. nice husband and wife owners and cool vibrant place.

Have you been here yet? Well if you haven't, then you should. Upon walking in, my friend and I were greeted by both friendly staff and a bright and inviting decor. The menu was hard to choose from, with both sweet and savory options. I went for one that had spinach, eggs, cheese, and mushrooms. My friend opted for brie and honey. Both were fantastic! After finishing mine, I wanted another, but knew my stuffed belly would hate me. I will definitely return to this great little spot on MIssissippi.

Yummy, yummy crepes! I think this place just opened. The owners seemed really nice and friendly. Ordered a Lingionberry and Cream crepe to share, and it was fabulous. I also ordered a latte and it was perfect! Next time I'm going to get one of their fresh squeezed juices.

Wonderful selection of sweet and savory crepes. I do wish they were open for dinner, hopefully as their business grows they'll be able to extend their hours so I can eat there more!

Excellent crepes. Wow what a good find. Debi and I both tried a savory and sweet crepe. All the choices were absolutely great. Clean and new facility very friendly owners and staff. What's not to like? We will definitely be returning.

  • Corey L.

Place is fantastic. Fresh ingredients, flavors work well together. We ended up checking this place out after deciding not to wait forever for more well-known restaurants in the area and I must say, I was happy we ended up there. Couple that owns it are awesome, too!

  • Nathan C.

The word 'meh' sums this place up pretty good. It was okay. It tasted good. The quality was ok, but it wasn't spectacular. I got the banana nutella crepes and used the same variety at IHOP as comparison. I actually kind of preferred the IHOP ones, but I'm no crepe expert. Aside from the somewhat small portion size, th thing that really took me aback was that you had to pay extra for syrup. $1 gets you about 2 tbsp. It was ok, but I probably won't go back. It just didn't satisfy my crepe craving the way I'd hoped.

  • Tom D.

I go there about once a week. It's a very special place, a cult classic in no time. The music is always delightful and different. Talking to Chris and Theresa is as addictive as their crepes. As for the crepes, anything your heart desires: the menu can be expanded with add ons. Variety of drinks including wine. Always leave more than satisfied. A bright spot in the week!

It's always good to have options for brunch in this city, and I think I found another to my "secret" list. Silver Moon Creperie has been in the neighborhood for a while now, but I hadn't been compelled to visit until yesterday. I could still see the skeleton of the pie shop still, but they adapted with decor to make it their own. The staff is very friendly and communicative, which is always a plus. I was intrigued by the ham, brie, and honey combination when I saw the chef walk by with a crepe overflowing with the cheesy crack. My tiny bit of skepticism was blown away by the combination. The brie was mellowed by honey, and the smoked ham added the extra intensity to make it a balanced, flavorful dish. I will definitely be coming back to try out another crepe, maybe with a fresh-squeezed juice. Check this place out, especially if Gravy is overflowing and you don't want to wait for 1+ hours.

Wonderful crepes. We found this new crepe place when we were wandering on Mississippi Ave. Three of us went there for a Saturday brunch and thought crepes would be light and fun. We had two savory and one sweet crepe. Classico: this is the pork lovers crepe, with salami and ham. We asked for light cheese so every bite was very flavorful and the pepperoncini peppers were very refreshing. Veggie: again light on cheese by request, but still very flavorful and with both the crepes different in flavor profile it was a good savory meal. For the sweet crepe we had the chocolate and marshmallow. There is really no scope of going wrong here. The combination is a crowd pleaser and amazing for the taste buds. Cafe au lait: this is one of those places that serves cafe au lait also. This is coffee with milk base as you get in Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans for the people who have had that amazing beverage (some May and some May not remember it due to mardi gras). I would definitely go back for more.

  • Laura S.

Amazing crepes, and the staff is BEYOND friendly, and everything is made to order right in front of your face with a smile. What a delightful place! The staff is so eager to please and take such pride and joy in what they do...we fell into this place by accident, and we are so happy we did!

    (5)
  • Arden R.

We ended up here on accident and were so happily surprised! We split an egg/mushroom/swiss/feta/pesto savory crepe and a lemon curd/lingonberry sweet crepe. Both were wonderful, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. It's a tiny, unassuming gem, and I can't wait to go back.

  • Kaylin D.

This place has become my new favorite spot. The atmosphere is very bright and colorful with a little of that eclectic Portland flavor to it. The crepe selection is extensive both for sweet and savory crepes. If you haven't tried a savory crepe yet I do recommend it. Was hard for me to wrap my head around it at first because I thought crepes were only supposed to be sweet but now I literally crave them. It's like a flat burrito. My favorite though has to be the Speculoos. It tastes like a warm and gooey graham cracker or if you're familiar with the Trader Joe's Cookie Butter spread it's that same flavor. They make everything fresh right in front of you and the couple who owns and runs it are very kind people. They have good coffee available and plenty of outlets so I can get some work done here and enjoy a delicious crepe. But I would also recommend it as a fun place to bring your kids.

  • Bentley B.

If you are in the mood for crepes this is the place! Wonderful service! I loved the banana raspberry crepe! I added whip cream to add that extra touch.

  • Donna K.

I was just thinking, o yay, another crepe place, but this one is not just another crepe place, it's a crepe place that has excellent toppings, fresh squeeze juices and smoothies. I love French pancakes because they feel light and full of flavor at the same time. I have tried only the sweet crepes like the lingonberry and cream, but it's super promising. I was excited to see cookie spread as a topping option!! The world knows about Nutella, but the world needs to know about cookie spread :). It's a great option for those who are not too fond of chocolate. I really want to come back and try the savory crepes and the fresh smoothies! Bonus: the fresh squeeze orange juice is amazing. Plus you can mix carrot and apple juice too.

  • Ted P.

Silver Moon Creperie is awesome. As a vegan, I love their vegan crepes. (They also have regular and gluten-free crepes.) The vegan crepes use a chickpea-based batter that has everything you'd expect from a crepe, without the dairy. It's fairly light and fluffy, but with a little bounce and well-adhered. Whatever replaces the egg does it perfectly. Here are Crepes I have enjoyed and would recommend (all made vegan): * Speculoos - tastes like graham crackers! * Speculoos and Banana - tastes like graham crackers and banana! (surprise) * Elvis - Ghiradelli chocolate sauce, peanut butter, banana * PB & J - fresh marrionberry and raspberry coulis made in house, with peanut butter The owners Chris and Theresa are super cool, too.

  • Megan M.

Nice staff, but really boring crepe options. The average crepe has maybe 2 ingredients and add-ons cost extra. I'll be looking around for some more interesting creperies.

  • Udayan K.

Fabulous. Mouth watering menu and the items taste just as delicious as they read. Very intimate Portlandy setting. The folks running the place could not be any sweeter. Prices very reasonable for the stuff you get. My wife had a savory crepe and we shared two different sweet crepes. The only knock on them, that i have to think hard to find, is that they close a tad early, but I don't feel like taking even half a star back for that. Suggestions for excuses to go back are welcome ;-)

We were looking for a place for Friday morning brunch and remembered that we wanted to try this place! We are glad we did! They are large crepes! Very tasty. I did a savory crepe: smoked ham, sharp cheddar and mushrooms and partner had a sweet crepe: banana and caramel. Both very filling and extremely tasty. Service is excellent! Staff very friendly and helpful. If you want an intimate and good place to meet a friend or two, this is the place!

Stopped by for some quick dessert after a disappointing breakfast at the food trucks across the street. Their menu is pretty extensive and to the point. It's a simple crepe shop with colorful interior and decor. The cook and the cashier were both friendly and willing to help you pick out the perfect crepe for you! My sister got the maui wowie and I got the brie and honey crepe. The maui wowie's pink sauce was a bit too funky for me but my sister liked it. The brie and honey crepe was alright - I wish the brie was melted a little more but the honey was very yummy. Paid $8 for both crepes and thought the pricing was fair. Will come back again!

Looking for somewhere to go with your friends, on a date, or with children ... look no further. This place is great for every person and every occasion. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff ... I am addicted. Try a crepe from the menu: fresh apples, sliced brie & honey and then add smoked ham. It's heaven. The only downfall is that they are not open for dinner.

  • April C.

What a find! We were eating lunch across the street and stopped in for dessert. The staff were very friendly and served us the best crepe we've ever had! We'll be back for sure to try new flavor combinations!

  • Annie S.

Pretty empty here. Came around 2:30 on a Friday with some family and we were the only people in the place. It's a nice, clean space and the service was friendly and fast. Crêpes weren't anything special, just crêpes plain and simple. They range in price from $5-10, and have vegan and gluten-free options as well. They aren't much of a meal, more of just a snack, which is fine. There wasn't any rush for us to head out so we were all able to catch up for a while. I don't think anyone else came in the whole time we were there, which was a bit sad. Really nothing wrong with the place; it just doesn't have much draw.

  • April B.

Awesome Crepes! I had the nutella & banana crepe (gluten-free, buckwheat) and it was wonderful --moist and airy The decor is cute and the owners are really friendly. The only complaint I have is that I would like to go back, but unfortunately the hours aren't very accommodating: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. I am sure I am not the only one who wishes that they had better hours. For example, Suzette in SE is open 11:30 am - 10:00 pm. It makes more sense to try and get the dinner/dessert crowd. Please consider changing your hours!

Just dropped in and the service is great, fun music playing not too loud, Cahuilla is looking at me from the ceiling, and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is really fun too, seems like a happy place to bring the kids.

Some friends of mine took us to this new(ish) place on Mississippi Ave. I have to admit, I wasn't too excited going in -- solely because I've never really gotten into crepes. But I went, because that's what you do when friends want to show you a new spot. See, the thing with me and crepes is that I don't really do much dairy... I'm not a total vegan, but I'm close, and I much prefer to avoid milk/cream, etc. So I was overjoyed that this place had savory crepes made with a vegan chickpea batter! Spinach, feta, red onion, etc. (yeah, I know that feta ain't vegan... I'm sure you could opt out on the feta...) The batter was off the hook. The crepe was tasty (hey, that's a great first line for a short story... hmmm. "The crepe was tasty"). Kinda changed my whole opinion of crepes, now that I know I can get 'em made from a chickpea batter. The owners were super nice, too. If you're cravin' crepes, check out Silver Moon.

I went to this place for the first time when it had just opened (circa 2014). Since then, I have been many times and I am always pleased. Love the fresh O.J. Favorite crepe: Ham, brie, and honey Second favorite crepe: Cajeta Many good choices for savory as well as sweet. Nice, personable owners. I will keep going here!

Love. This. Place. We lived in Dover, NH a few years ago and used to gorge ourselves every weekend here. We are planning on making a trip out west and have a Silver Moon stop on the itinerary. Keep up the great work!

Love this place. For context, my wife and I enjoy crepes, but we've never loved crepes in Portland (like but don't love Le Happy, never felt enthused about Farmer's Market crepe offerings, etc.)... On the other hand, we loved crepes when we tried them in France. The crepes at Silver Moon are light, fluffy and filled with flavor. They're made right in front of you, and the fresh toppings are prepared and incorporated right on the crepe-making thingy. Favorite savory thus far has been a honey, brie and apple crepe, and I can't say enough about my nutella/banana and speculoos/banana go-to dessert choices. My wife had a ham and brie on buckwheat on our last visit, and - though she loved it - I'd still recommend the "normal" batter.... though I hear the chickpea is good. We've been here three times, and I highly recommend. I can also respond, from firsthand experience, to some other reviews. Cleanliness of bathroom or kitchen? Not an issue, to the point where I have to wonder about the commenter. I do think the decibel level on the hand-dryer is profound, but hey, it dried my hands... I wish they were closer to my neighborhood, as it's a haul to get up to N. Mississippi, but it's my favorite spot in the area, so I hope to be back many more times.

My eyes were bigger than my stomach when I thought I needed two crepes. I ordered one with marionberry jam and one with mozzarella, pesto, and tomato. They were both delicious but the mozz, pesto, and tomato combo stayed on my mind for days! It was delicious and I will definitely be back for a repeat session!

Wow! Absolutely incredible crepes! I've never been a fan of savory crepes but these were divine! My fiancé had a sweet crepe that was just as delicious. They were super nice and wonderfully friendly. I can't wait to come again!

Really, really good crêpes. I highly recommend it. The best I've had? Eh, I don't think so. I think I still prefer the ones my French friends make and Crème de la Crêpe in the South Bay. But, definitely different from the ones I've tried with a doughier crêpe texture that had a particular elasticity that was fun to eat, as I'm very big on texture. The ambience is bright and lively, the interior is adorn with local artwork, and I was surrounded by ultra-hipsters that put Silver Lake hipsters to shame in the category of self-absorption and (lack of) personal hygiene. Their presence imbued that "I'm super artsy and special" feel to the dining experience. Silver Lakers should watch Portlandia as a proper reference and gauge on how to increase their hipster-ness. I very much enjoyed my nutella, cinnamon, sugar, and banana crêpe with a caffe mocha. It was a perfect start for a pleasant Saturday morning. I believe the owners work the cash register and prepare the food, and they were very friendly and hospitable. I'll definitely dine here again when I come back to visit Portland.

These guys just opened and they are great! They have both sweet and savory crepes. My favorite savory is the pesto, tomato, mushroom, and mozzarella. And you just can't beat the nutella peanut butter. Awesome crepes, good coffee, yummy. **Update** I've been here many times since my first review and have upped my review to 5 stars. Solid wifi, interesting specials (e.g. Matcha Pudding), all around great spot.

I'm was not a big fan of Crepes, but that was because I've only had them when they have been overly sweet with some generic topping like blueberries and powdered sugar. I decided to give this new spot in the neighborhood a try. The couple working there were very sweet and understood my concern for trying a crepe that wasn't too sweet. They have a huge list of both sweet and savory crepes to choose from. I remember them being only a few dollars each and one was more than enough to fill me up for lunch. I tried the Ham & Swiss crepe and it was very good! Simple, yet delicious. The ham wasn't overly fancy, although I would have been happy to pay a $1 or $2 more and have them get ham from a place like Olympic Provisions. The person I was with got both a savory and a sweet. The sweet one he got was Marionberry and I id have a bite of that as well and it was still very sweet, but not a fake processed sugary sweet. The one thing I was not a fan of, is that everything was served on disposable plates. Seems very wasteful if you are eating there. Additionally, they have Cider and Beer options if you like, which is a nice touch.

The best crêpes in Portland, served by a warm friendly couple. Worth a trip, great lunch spot! Perfect for a snack too. Nice alternative to the food carts, yet at food cart prices!

This place has a fun atmosphere and amazing / friendly service. The crepes are DELICIOUS. I keep going in saying that I'll try a savory crepe, but my sweet tooth always gets the best of me. I am a creature of habit, but I try a new crepe every time I visit and I am never disappointed. I also really enjoy their espresso drinks too.

My best friend and I are breakfast enthusiasts. We borh love breakfast so much that the majority of the times that we meet up for a meal out, it is breakfast. Because of this "first meal" obsession, we have sampled the majority of breakfast options on offer in Portland. That said, we had yet to try Silver Moon Creperie until today. I must say, even with the vast and primarily good experiences I have had eating breakfast out in Portland, Silver Moon Creperie was nothing short of fantastic. To start with, the restaurant is simple and bright. I found the dining area to be quite clean and the exposed kitchen was likewise clean and organized. The two people working there, whom I later found to the owner/operators, were polite and cheery. Both were eager to answer our questions and make suggestions. My best friend and I planned to order two crepes each and share so that we could try several kinds. We ordered the local raspberry jam and the lingonberries and cream and were attempting to choose our other two crepes more when one of the owners showed us the size of the crepes, which were huge! We decided at that point that we better hold off on ordering any more. The crepes arrived quickly and were excellent. We were quite full with just the two crepes, but they were so good that we had to order one more. We decided that the "mounty" sounded delicious with its maple marcapone filling - with the exception of the bacon crumbles, as my best friend is vegetarian. The owner was happy to customize our crepe and make it bacon-free and actually charged us LESS to do so. The "mounty" was every bit as scrumptious as its berry-filled predecessors. Overall, I am very happy that we tried this place and will most definitely return to Silver Moon and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

06.25.2014 H was not too fond of the food truck choices across the street so she was happy to see this creperie. That girl LOVES crepes! This new creperie just opened about a month ago. Hopefully they will have good luck in providing some sweet dessert choices for after the food truck eats across the street, as well as savory breakfast for lunch or dinner choices. H had the Nutella crepe and O had the banana and chocolate chip crepe. Can you go wrong with a Nutella crepe? Not here. And even better was the fresh whipped cream they piled on top. Yum! Cute and clean cafe...delicious and fresh crepe! Clean bathrooms and cute decór.

I had a delightful buckwheat (gluten free) classico crepe with salami, ham, cheese, tomato, and peppers. It was like eating a delicious semi spicy pizza without a thick crust. I was pleasantly surprised. My fiancé had an egg, ham, and cheese crepe with the typical batter which was great. The crepes were perfectly cooked and appropriately thin. Nice space. Ciders and other drinks available. I would definitely suggest and go back. The only downside is price. For two crepes and non alcoholic drinks we were well over $20.

Very glad we chose this as our breakfast spot this morning! I ordered the raspberry jam with whipped cream and strawberries added on top (their special of the day). It was amazing and totally satisfied my pregnancy craving of sweet and fruit! My husband ordered the ham, Swiss and mushroom, and it was delicious. I only had a few bites of his but they were memorable bites. The people working were friendly and down to earth and prices were great. Honestly, what more can you ask for? Will definitely be coming back if in the area again.
