Driving around the airport area trying to look for a decent place to eat my family and I decided to try Shilo Restaurant. The staff there was very accommodating as we felt bad for walking in after 9:30pm and they were closing at 10pm. After the hostess introduced herself, I asked what time they closed and then proceeded to tell her that we had no problem finding another place to grab some food as I know the feeling of wanting to hurry up and close down so you can head home. She was very sweet and said that it was OK for my family to dine in. Our waitress was just as nice and sweet (Chinese/Japanese mix?), she took our order and made sure to check in with us regularly. She wasn't pushing trying to get us in and out but seemed genuine. My family ordered the American Kobe Beef burger which was pretty good and juicy. I gave these folks five stars as they could have easily turned my family away as they were starting to close down but made us feel welcomed. The burger was pretty good and tasty as well.

I just had a great dinner "bite" at The Shilo Inn. A very quaint, old time supper club feel, dark wood, a piano and warm lighting. It looked to me that all of the servers were spot on but I was fortunate enough to have Dee take good care of me. I was dining alone and ordered four small courses, ( although as Dee pointed out, their Happy Hour portions are much the same size as menu priced ) and her pacing in bringing my food was perfect! When a server gets busy it is easy to forget the single diner, but not a good server. Go..enjoy the clam chowder and a Caesar salad and ask for Dee.

My wife tried to stop by here this past Monday morning for breakfast. We were staying in the hotel and she was trying to use her breakfast coupon for one of the complimentary hot breakfasts. However, after standing round for 10 minutes and getting a rather large line of customers waiting behind her she proceeded to leave. So while she would have liked to given this place a fair shot, it wasn't to be.

Very good for breakfast, slightly pricy but reliable. The decor is very nice but it definitely has the "hotel restaurant" vibe. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed our breakfast last weekend (eggs benedict and an egg/sausage/potato thing). The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is the coffe.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Found a huge piece of metal embedded into the breeding of my fish taco. Photo attached. If I had swallowed it, it would have jacked me up. My company is paying for all my meals here, so no loss or gain when the waitress offered to comp my meal. All of a sudden my forgiving review about the the shabby appearance but fairly good food has turned so so sour... Definitely avoid this place unless you like shards of metal possibly in your food.

Our server Ray was a joy to our family. Very polite and attentive. On our second morning for breakfast he remembered our drink preferences. Usually I comment on food first, however the service was the star of the show here. The food was delicious too mind you. The hash browns were perfectly crisp on top and tender below. The bacon was cooked just right and the eggs were prepared properly. I will come back again. If you are staying at the hotel they offer a great free breakfast selection with coffee too!

The waitress was very friendly. Clean place to eat. Food was good. I would say the employees are what made this place great.

This place gets four stars from me not because it's 4-star quality food (I've certainly had better), but because I was shocked that this was a Shilo restaurant. I was staying at the Clarion next door and wanted to grab some dinner. It seemed my walking options were Shari's or the Shilo Restaurant. Truthfully, I picked the Shilo because I wanted a beer and Shari's doesn't have alcohol... I was pleasantly surprised by the menu at the Shilo. It had fancy sounding stuff - not just burgers and fries. I ended up getting the Butternut Squash Ravioli. Not bad! They were big ravioli that actually looked well plated (not just tossed on the plate sloppily). They had a creamy sauce to go with them (couldn't quite tell what the flavor of the sauce was, but it wasn't bad) and they were topped with hazelnuts and blue cheese. All in all, not bad for a Shilo Restaurant near the strip. If you're choosing between the Shilo and Shari's and you're looking for something other than fried food and a burger, try the Shilo.

Convenient location, along Airport Way. Friendly staff, teriyaki sirloin w/tempura green beans and jasmine rice was delicious.

Always come when I need to pick up someone from the airport. Food and coffee is quick and tasty. Elizabeth my waitress made sure it was. Thanks Shilo

Enjoyed my Baja Fish Tacos for lunch at the bar. The bar keep, Lois, was really friendly and has a great smile. She's a ham and makes you feel right at home. We even got a free birthday dessert! My friend liked her French Dip a lot. Will return for happy hour soon.

Yes yes yes!! Texas boys like to eat and I did just that here! Food was great and service was even better! I was next door at the Courtyard and there is not much around. I ditched the Courtyard restaurant for this place after the first meal! Nom nom

They serve food here, but I don't know how it is since I didn't eat here. There is a cigar lounge here, but I don't know how the pricing or selection is since I didn't smoke here. They have a pretty basic liquor selection (I did get some Makers 46 though), but I don't know how the pricing is since I didn't pay here. What I do know, is that if you're staying in one of the hotels nearby, this appears to be the only spot to grab a drink at night. I also know that last call is at midnight, but they seemed to stay open later than that.

Shilo Restaurant is a real 'diamond in the rough' type spot. The Shilo Inn where it's housed looks kinda seedy and the ambience in the restaurant feels 1970s. But take a minute to look at the menu and you will think - hmm, there's some interesting ideas here! Very creative options - Dungeness crab Florentine sandwich, Kobe beef meatloaf sandwich, coconut prawns, basically vastly upgraded pub fare. Great prices as well - $10 small meals and appetizer plates. I ordered the chickens drumsticks and the Kobe meat loaf sandwich - it was really excellent. Even the fries were good and hot. Had some of a friends Dungeness crab as well and they pulled it off. And I was impressed with the service, it was really professional.

We really just wanted to relax in our room so we get our food to go. I get a spinach salad $8 that is very good, and Hubbie gets a Kobe burger $10 and onion rings $5 that are also very good. There is so much food we can't eat it all. The staff that took our order was very nice. After paying for our food and walking out of the Shilo, I realize that they forgot my salad, so we went back inside and they went to the kitchen and found it for us.

Smells like stale cigarette smoke throughout. I couldn't tolerate it long enough to order.

Not bad at all!! The meny was short but interesting. The seafood we ordered was cooked very well and the whole experience was better than expected. I am a sucker for older style, quiet, piano entertainer - style restaurants and I truly enjoyed both the food, the service and the athmosphere here. Try it, you might like it.

This is the only place I could find to grab a drink on the airport hotel row. The decor is way out of date, but I loved it. It is like a Pacific Northwest/Goodfellas kind of deal. I think it's a semi hot spot for people to hit the slots as well. All around, it's a good place to grab a drink and shoot the shiz with fellow business travelers.

How the hell did I end up being the duke here? Oh, right, it's a good place to stop for breakfast when doing the walk of shame home from downtown. Well...drive of shame, but whatever. Good steak and eggs for 4 am. I guess I should try them out during the day sometime.

Is it good? Not really. Is it bad? No. Is it convenient? Yes, if you've got a flight out of PDX and need a quick meal. I've eaten breakfast here a couple of times. It's nothing to write home about, but it fills the gut before getting on a plane.

This fine dining restaurant has surprisingly good service for a chain. It's great for luch, especially their rueben sandwiches, yum! The servers there are excellent, Elizabeth. And are quick to provide recommendations of their favorites. I was too full to try the desserts but would come back anytime. Highly recommend, particularly for celebrating a kickass sale at Nike corporate.
