Me and my wife love this place. Have been 4 or 5 times now and their gelato is a favorite of ours. My wife says the Honey Lavender is to die for and I have nothing but positive things to say about the pistachio. Great to see real nuts in the frozen bliss that is that cup of pistachio gelato. One scoop.... Wait, better make it two. And might as well take a Pip beanie baby for my unborn son.

Pips has made some very recent changes that gave our family pause today. They now have their gelato in 3 sizes: child's ( one scoop), medium ( two scoops), and large ( 3 scoops). Each scoop is one flavor only. They did drop the prices a little and the scoops are a bit smaller in new cute traditional gelato cups. The only way an indecisive kid can try more than one flavor is to get two or more scoops. We didn't like that when the previous owner did it. Annoying. Too much gelato for little kids especially. If the amount in the cup is the same, why does it really matter if its more than one flavor? That said, their seating and wii set up is nice, the young people who work there are friendly, and they have a nice assortment of flavors of frozen yogurt and lots of toppings. Because they have espresso and gelato, they have affogatos. Sweet. Also their waffle cookie got better. It's crunchy now. I hope Pips is doing ok. Makes us nervous when flexibility decreases.....usually it's not a good sign .

Nice friendly people work here. Topping selection is average. Gelato dry and not very flavorful. Froyo not very flavorful.

They close at 11 and are in the dollar store parking lot off of Cornell - that's a plus. I have to admit their gelato has a lot to be desired Your frozen yogurt on the other hand is pretty good- expensive but good. I don't really have a lot to say about this place- other than yogurt by the ounce is super expensive. And again they need to rework their gelato.

My favorite rendition of yocream! I'm from Los Angeles, where yogurt varieties are plentiful, so I must admit to having been frustrated with the ubiquitous yocream product. I thought it was foamy and so avoided it, even though my love for froyo runs deep. This place has almost changed my mind! I'll have to go back...one, two, maybe ten times to be sure. The topping selection was great, and even though they were closing they let my husband and I in to get and eat our yogurt (past closing! Next time we'll look at the sign before entering ;)). The price is a bit high, $.046 per ounce, but I've come to expect high froyo prices up here...

Pips is a wonderful place. I go here whenever I have a craving for gelato or some frozen yogurt. I often stop by to also study and enjoy some coffee because of the relaxing atmosphere here. Patrick who works there is also a great person who provides awesome customer service. Dark chocolate gelato is a must try!

Cute little froyo place that's decorated with penguins! I love penguins and went a little crazy taking photos of all their decoration. The froyo is pretty good too without any artificial aftertaste that a lot of other places have.

Always friendly and willing to serve up samples to make sure you're happy. Fro-yo, and gelato. Wifi, and a good selection too. Yay for frozen tasty stuff!

It's a cute little place and decently priced. The stuffed penguins sitting around are a cute touch. It's nice that they serve gelato and frozen yogurt so there's a nice variety. But the gelato was kept too cold so it was not the right texture or consistency.

The first time I went there, I woke up early and thought, "Man, I want some ice cream." Lo and behold, in only about a mile away from where I live, Pips popped into existence. (If I decided, "I really want some steak," would a steakhouse be there instead? I must try this new found power out sometime.) I've only had their Gelato before, so I cannot attest to their froyo and other flavorful assortments of goodies, I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed if you went for it! Especially during the hot months of Oregon (read: every month), this cool and relaxing treat will definitely help slow down the melting that's going to inevitably happen to your skin. I had their lavender Gelato last time I went there, only because I enjoy the smell of lavender, and the taste was weird! Not bad, understand, but different, as I've never had something that tasted like lavender smells. I recommend it if it's there! The servings, while not humongous nor nonexistently small, are proportioned perfectly. The staff are incredibly polite and nice, and every time I've gone, they've been eccentric and more than willing to help you with whatever you need. If you're unsure of what flavor to try, they'll give you an adorable microscopic spoonful as a tester so you can determine which direction you want to go. I've never had a bad run-in with any of the staff nor customers in my many-a-time visits. The lounge itself is cozy, with soft couches, magazines, Yahtzee and a Wii, and of course my favorite attraction: The penguin plushes! They're really adorable and lighten up the atmosphere by a whole eleven notches. The sound is never too loud, and it's never eerily quiet either. Overall, if you're in Beaverton, I kneel on bended knee for you to try out Pips. You won't regret it the next morning.

Fun, family friendly build-your-own ice cream shop. Fair prices, clean, friendly service.

This is a cute frozen yogurt shop with a penguin theme. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the sugar free frozen yogurt was tasty. The gelato seems to be colder than you would expect, so it is not as smooth and rich as you would typically find. At night, the fluorescent lights seemed to attract a lot of flying insects as they left the doors open, so I will only be returning in the day time. The prices are decent.

This is so close to being our favorite. We found menchies which is hard to beat. This is very close second. Good selection. Nice toppings. The video games for kids is great but fails when teens get on and create lots of noise.

Great, polite service from Patrick :) Made our first trip into the store a pleasant one! The toppings bar was very clean and well-organized (unlike some other local frozen yogurt shops we've visited). And the smell of fresh-baked waffle cones was absolutely irresistible as we walked in the door! We're sure to be back to this store! Thanks for the sweet treat!

So now that I've been, I'm a bit more familiar with the layout of the land. I'm over at the Walgreen's across the street purchasing some Ben and Jerry's wondering if this place is open. I spin by and the Open sign is on and there's people out front eating. So I walk in like a boss at 9:47 knowing that they close shortly and Yoloswag is standing in front of all the toppings with the cover like he thought he was going to dip out soon. Staring at me like a deer in headlights I try not to make eye contact and head over to the frozen yogurt machines. I was trying to get out as I was fully aware that Yolo and his friends want to go invent new hashtags when he gets off work. I just scan the fountain flavors. Mountain Berry. It's got to be better than land berry. Hazelnut was in the same machine. Yeah sure. Yolo shuffles behind me in defeat into the back room. I'm picking up toppings and noticed my new bestie behind the counter staring at his shoes with his arms down by his side like a customer service droid awaiting some type of stimuli to initiate a pre-programmed response. The toppings selection isn't that impressive. they have the obvious items like rolos and heath bars and buttercups and butterfinger, but they spent their limited amount of space on some bizarre candies like those hard candies in the shape of a dog bone that are really just knock offs of runts. They also have boston baked beans. like, ew. totally. I grabbed my toppings and made my way over to the counter and Yolobot initiates service mode and moves my cup over to the scale where I guess I should have put the cup if I knew what I was doing. The frozen yogurt was alright. the hazelnut was better than the mountain berry. The topping selection is nothing to go crazy about. prolly more fun if you have kids. But they do have gelato, which is likely why I would go back in the future. Or maybe the odd occasion that I have an ice cream itch that dairy queen can't scratch because it's not ice cream, its softserve. This still isn't ice cream but at least the frozen yogurt is about 40% better than dairy queen for roughly the same price. Dairy Queen isn't worth going to unless you get double chunks, and Pip's doesn't pay Yoloswag to care about what's in your cup. You can bring him a cup full of Boston baked beans and he'll still sell them to you by weight. When you're done with your transaction he will resume shoe-gazing until the next costumer comes up to the counter. As I'm writing this and looking at their hours listed on Yelp, I now realize that it was actually after hours and our teenage antagonist forgot to turn off the sign. Bonus!

Some gelato options, some frozen yogurt options and a toppings bar. The frozen yogurt was just okay but the gelato was yummy.

Real nice place to visit when its a hot day and you are craving something cold and sweet. The guy that helped us was really helpful and you can almost relate to him instantly on a casual level because he was really laid back. He gladly gave me samples of the raspberry, mango and strawberry and even gave me his own input on which one he liked (raspberry) which reaffirmed my decision on choosing raspberry. I had a really good experience with everything, the place was clean and had couches for you to enjoy, plus they have free wifi! Not a place to study but a place to relax and use wifi without wasting data on your phone like for writing this review TL:DR good place on a hot summer day for your sweet tooth

Pip's is our go to Froyo place. We've come to know the owner and the two young men that work there. Once you chat with them they are great young boys and the Owner is very nice. There is a review on here from August 2014 where the reviewer calls one of the clerks "Yolo swag" which is just rude. Those boys are very nice, they do their job and you can tell they enjoy it. It's a high school job what do you expect from them? They have a nice variety of flavors, I wish they would bring back the lemon cream flavor that was my favorite. They have a better variety of flavors than Twist off of Barnes. They also have fresh fruit rather than frozen. All the gelato is delicious and they don't care if you try every flavor. The penguin theme is very cute and there is plenty of room for a few groups and nice outside seating.
