I adore this place so much that I consider it my Portland "office" and don't mind the drive from Wood Village. The staff is on the ball and the people watching is excellent. The decor is stellar with framed vinyl(!) on nearly every wall. The patio is perfect on a warm day and there is no lack of service, either. There's WiFi!! Great for me since I need it to do my work. It's obvious the owner and her employees love the customers which is key to keeping the doors open, especially in Portland. The food is never less than perfect and prices are very reasonable. To-go orders are swift, too. I love it here and can't wait to visit again this week!

Well, evidently LGBT community isn't welcome here. We're told so to our faces. We will take our money elsewhere and will ask others to do the same.

If you like places that aren't filled with transplant Portlandia type people... This is a bar for you! Like to watch the game... This bar is for you. Like to give money to the kids (video poker)... This bar is for you. Like decent beers, and a solid poured drink ... Yep This bar is for you. Like honest food... This place is for you. I found this place long ago, and always kept it in my back pocket, not wanting to share the magic of the hole in the wall vibe. There are some sweet album covers of bygone bands, a jukebox, booths, tall tables and a great horseshoe bar. Love the outside patio, but be warned there are a lot of smokers. Granted 8/10 are polite about their smoke. The crowd is a mix, old timers, regulars, off the street and industry workers. The one thing the crowd has in common.... They aren't assholes. So keep that in mind if you are an ass - this isn't a bar for you.

with lesbian owner...that would be Terri and Sharon.....and yet they say our gay money is not welcomed.....15 people x twice a week = $1500.00 a week.......I smell a lawsuit coming

Love Morrison Street Bar and Grill. Food and drinks are awesome. People working there are so nice. They also do great catering. We have used them for a few parties, and everyone raved about the food.

Sometimes when you go by a place a hundred times and never stop it is the universe trying to tell you something. That was the case here. This place is one that is often confused with others in conversations so we thought we better stop in so as to really know what it is all about. Well, it is divey, with poker machines in full view and older, barely not homeless clientele. The bar tender was nice but the place smells and has nothing really to offer that can't be found in any dark and dingy dive. I would give it a pass like the universe tried to let me know.

Wish I could give it 1.5 stars but alas I will round up. First thing first, the staff is awesome. Super attentive and friendly. However, I'm extremely underwhelmed by the food menu. Just about everything other than the salads is either deep fried or microwaved. Standard beer and well drinks as far as beverages go As this is a local, neighborhood spot for me I'll probably be back but definitely not having high expectations.

Hit up this spot for yet another time last night with a friend... and again enjoyed it. The staff is always super friendly and chatty, so you can either sit around their U shaped bar or go find a more private booth to cozy up it. Their food is A-OK, nothing to write home about, but arguably better than your average bar food. Good place for happy hour, but at any hour have affordable drinks. Just a 3 star review as there is nothing particularly unique about it... drinks are simple and typical, same for food. Casual environment, good place for conversation... less of a fantastic place to go to have a good time. I tend to swing by when I'm in the neighborhood, and not itching to shoot some pool/play some shuffleboard/etc but rather looking for a place to enjoy convo with company.

Four stars, mainly because of the service. Friendliest staff in the neighborhood! Super cheap drinks, cheap decent food. Nice, clean neighborhood bar.

Morrison St. Bar & Grill is a place I avoided going to for almost a whole year, but since I live 3 blocks away from it, I figured I'd try it. Turns out, it was worse than I was expecting. When you go inside, cigarette smokes billows out the door, and you are greeted by an aged waitress who is not-so-friendly. At this point, the place became a 1 star for me. I saw the 50 year old regulars puffing their lives away, glaring at us like we shouldn't be in there. Luckily, it was 90 degrees outside and they had a patio, so we went outside. Their beer was fairly cheap, so that raised it to 2 stars. They have about 4 tables outside and it was the perfect day to eat on the patio. Aside from the annoying people hacking up a lung and talking loudly in between their sips of gin, it was quite nice. Our new waitress was nice, and prompt, unlike bartender #1. The food was actually better than expected, which brings the place up to 3 stars. Inside, the place is a one. Outside, the place is a two, and with good food and drink, it gets up to a three. If you're looking for good food, good beer, and horrible ambiance, this is the place to be!

Great neighborhood bar/grill. Staff is attentive, helpful, and engaging; food portions are always very generous, and there are always some great specials going on (read the white-board!). Very nice selection of alcohol between the beer and the liquor (not sure about their wine, if any); with local/domestic/imported beers and a variety of liquor it is sure to be able to please any taste. Great value all-around.

I often find myself craving a REALLY GOOD salad. A Cheap Drink. A Comfortable Setting. Wonderful Service .....And my life is complete. Morrison Grill is one of those places you end up at because everything is crowded and your staving. So you say What the fuck, let's try it. It doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside the patrons are mostly regulars. It's dark and really clean. The outside area is great, my friends and I stayed for 3 hours playing cards, drinking, and eating really delicious food one Sunday, and the bill was maybe $70. The bartender was attentive and sweet without being overly in our business. What finally prompted this review was we showed up at 11pm last night DYING for a the Cobb Salad. Turns out kitchen closes 10pm. Bumski. The cook was cleaning the ktichen overheard us and offered to reopen the kitchen for us. Highlights: -Fantastic Salads -Cheap Drinks -Breakfast All Day, my husband reports "das good" -EXCELLENT Service. -Little too much video poker/TV's

Hmmm, the mysterious Morrison St. Bar & Grill... You know those places you drive/walk by all the time but have never been in? And there's no particular reason you haven't been, but you figure if the joint was any good you'd have been 'cause your friends would have mentioned it in passing or some old guy you talked to at a bar would have talked about the good times spent there in yesteryear or your older sister would have told you about the time she went there years ago and dropped acid with an eskimo...or something. So finally one day, with indecision sparking your sense of adventure (if you consider going to a new dive bar "adventure"...which i do) you roll in and have a couple drinks. TV's are prevalent!! And neon!! And video poker!! ai!! The patrons were mostly my parents' age and "regular" aaand it kinda made me feel strangely comfortable. Tis smokey. I think they have a special day on Mondays...something involving a goodie bag?? Also, I had to pay $2 for a diet coke...after I had already had a cocktail. Not appropriate! It's kinda like Red Robin, except with more vices.

Great food. Had Cobb salad. If it had real chicken breast instead of sliced deli turkey, I would have rated or a 5 star. Wonderful bacon! Drinks were yummy, especially grape kook aid. Reasonable prices. Comfy outdoor seating. Bartender was very friendly and on the ball! A return trip is in order.

Consistently Delicious and Great Fun ! I don't know where to start other than - Breakfast served all day ! The eggs benedict and hollandaise sauce is better than any other place in town ! Not a fan of hollandaise than have a country benedict made with home made sausage gravy instead or a juicy filled omelet. Don't stop at Breakfast, they also have a full menu of other tasty items and daily specials everyone loves! I'm just a breakfast fan : ) I can't say enough great things about Morrison, other than its a hidden gem. The owner Terry is wonderful, always making masterpiece recipes from scratch. I just wanna know how she does it!! While Sharon serves with her warm smile and always has friendly banter, She makes a Bloody Mary that will leave you craving another. She has amazing drink concoctions, do toss out a challenge, you won't be disappointed. So now that your appetite and thirst has been quenched , play a game of pool, touchscreen, music on the itune box or even some video lottery if your feeling lucky ! Its also easy to strike up conversations with the other patrons, who are always friendly ! With summer around the corner, get ready to ask for patio seating and enjoy your accoutrements outside. Also, check with Terry about any events she'll have during summer, she gets a few great tent parties going !! There really isn't a better place to escape to that feels like a home away from home. Did I mention they also have parking? One more reason why Morrison gets another thumbs up. Do go visit for yourself, you'll be happy you did !! Cheers!

It's snowing a lot lately and my alcohol consumption seems up quite a bit. Maybe by the end of winter, I won't be a lightweight anymore. Thanks to Morrison St Bar & Grill that's always there for me even during snow storm. Friendly bartenders always make a perfect yummy Hot choco with Kahlua with whipped cream for me. They have Rib Eye specials sometimes. 10oz steak with rice pilaf, veggies, and toasts for $10.95, is a very good deal around my hood. I'm a steak girl, I love my steak medium rare and they cooked it perfectly. Now I just need to figure out, how not to keep losing money on those video poker slot machines. Gimme my $5 back!

One of my favorite places to grab a beer and a burger, this little neighborhood bar is just like Cheers in real life. The middle aged clientel never get too out of hand, even after an entire night of drinking. Not to mention the bar staff is amazingly nice. You wouldn't expect much from the food in a place like this, but you'll be pleasantly surprised! Their burgers are fantastic, and the fries are the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a low-key hangout with good bar food and cheap beer, this is the place!
