Clean environment. Good food. Order two if super hungry....I mean they are little big burgers. They carry the Camden's Ketchup, which we liked a lot. Appreciated that they didn't skimp on the truffle fries, the portion was gigantic. The selection of cheeses and beers was also satisfactory. Price for product was good. We will return.

Been coming here since opening day, great place to grab lunch and a beer. Nice simple menu. The burgers are good, nothing to get overly excited about but the price point helps their appeal. But the truffle fries, holy hell they are good! The combination of the thin cut fries, the truffle oil they are cooked in, and the seasoning/salt makes for the best fries in Portland, period! You've got to buy a bottle of Micah Camden's Catsup while you're there, so good but it's hard to put anything on the fries - they're amazing without. Just take the Catsup home and put it on something else.

They have THE BEST veggie burger I have ever had, in my life. (Not a title I throw around lightly.) Love their pickles (we get extra in place of onions). LOVE the Camden's Catsup (locally made!). ADORE the organic ingredients. Everything is bursting with flavor, however bite-sized. Suggestions: One burger is good for a snack if you're feeling peckish, two is a comforting meal. (With fries, of course!) The fries are crispy and tasty. If you want an extra burst of flavor order a slice of Tillamook cheddar on your burger. It's entertaining to watch the antics of the frycooks flipping burgers and buns in the air, and they get the most delightful toast going on the bun with the cheese. Seriously scrumptious. Burger 'n fry joints seem to come and go all the time here. My last favorite place for fries closed, so we decided to try Little Big Burger many months ago. Since then, we have become semi-regular customers. (Now if only Vancouver had one!)

Beuatiful people, nice services, great food... All in one place. It`s the best place to grab hamburguers around Portland so far in my experience, their food taste so natural, and unique, different from any other I`ve ever had in Australia, Brazil and here, in America.

To the dudes that just served order #666 you guys are awesome!! I'm going to miss the truffle fries when I move; thanks again.

Great burgers and fries! Fresh and delicious! The burger was cooked perfectly! Even though the burger looks small, it is very filling. I am the type of guy to eat a half pound burger and the blue cheese bacon burger I had with fries and a root beer float did the trick. Love the spicy ketchup too! If I went with friends/family though, I might just get an order of fries to share and create two different burgers with a beer next time.

They have high quality burgers and the best truffle fries! They offer chèvre as a cheese option, and have the best sauces. The burgers are on the small side, hence the name. However, I actually think they are the perfect size.. I would consider it to be a healthy sized portion for a burger. This is a much cheaper option and higher quality option than Burgerville, which charges around $9 for the same product, with a burger that is a flat over salted patty. Again... Those fries! My only complaint is their loose closing time. It's"9ish" which makes this place an undependable place for late evening food. Sometimes they close before or after 9. I know business may get slow, but it makes me want to rule this place out as an option depending on the time of day when I normally would go there.

Awesome place to eat if you enjoy kid-sized hamburgers at restaurant prices. Seriously, the burger can be conquered in three bites. I get the "Little Big Burger" concept, but if you really are gonna slang mini-sized burgers, don't charge $4.25. The burger would've been acceptable if it cost $2.75. The fries were okay, but when you see "Truffle Fries," you expect your mind and/or body to get rocked. These are standard fries, and while not bad, they certainly don't warrant such a hype title. Service wasn't bad, but it's, like, a guy at a register who takes your order, so, I mean, yeah. And I don't know if they always play loud Country music, and this is totally a personal bias, but Country music makes me want to suck on the tailpipe of a Ford Pinto, so when paired with food (outside of some honky cuisine joint like Black Angus or a place where said music fits the food/vibe [not that I go to Black Angus, but just providing an example]), it brings my appetite down...way down. However, I can see how this would be a plus to many-a-honky Portlander.

Another Little Big Burger! The food is still yumtastic, and this location has a bit more seating than the others, so bring some buddies along for the burger goodness! I love a place that sticks to a couple items but just does a good job of it, woop woop for LBB!

Pretty good burgers. I think 2 would make a good sized meal. The service was great. They compost pretty much everything. Which is awesome. We used to go to burgerville, but since burgerville stopped composting we will now be regulars at little big burger!

  • Allison B.

I love LBB! Burgers are a perfect size and the truffle fries are delicious. These things are all over the Portland metro area and are a great option if you are craving fast food but you want good ingredients!

I thought to myself upon pressing my face to the plate glass window, gazing at the menu and astonishingly low prices of your burgers. Surely this name, Little Big Burger, must not describe your burgers. I thought there was just as good a chance of the burgers being big, as being little. I thought, my jesus, these chumps don't know the problems I'm going to give them. I'm going to eat their burgers so often, that they'll have to go out of business. Four dollars for a burger? I'm fuckin' in. I sauntered to the counter and causally asked (so as not to tip them off at their horrible business choices) for the little big burger. With cheese. And goddamn if they didn't realize their mistake and begin cooking it up for me. I sat down smugly, thinking about how proud my cheapskate dad would be of me when I told him that ME. Your very own son. Has finally found someone dimwitted enough to give large amounts of food to just anyone off the street. He would rub his hands together with glee, and finally tell me that he loves me, and that he would be moving in with me shortly (he's a cheapskate) to taste this masterpiece I have discovered. The burger was little. My dad won't return my calls.

I do not understand why people like this chain! They are a total rip off! The burger at AM-PM is better and bigger. Such a disappointment! Go somewhere else and get a "Real" hamburger that tastes good and is more than 3 bites!

We were in town and were in need for a quick meal before a concert. Our first choice didn't pan out so we pulled up the Yelp app and landed here! Street parking was elusive so I dropped off my partner and pulled around to the neighbourhood streets while he ran inside to snag our takeaway. He texted me with the message: "easy menu, see you soon" and he was back outside in less than fifteen minutes. He jumped in our car with a sack of burgers and truffle fries. Holy mother of pearl, y'all, the smell was maddening until we returned to the hotel for our meal on the patio. Their menu WAS easy, with only four foodstuff items available: hamburger, cheeseburger, veggie burger, and fries. I think you could add bacon to your burger for $0.50 or something. The burgers were perfectly cooked (medium) and I later learned, made using 1/4 pound of locally sourced, grass-fed Cascade Organic Beef from Klamath Falls. The buns were brioche and if you get cheese, it's local too. The veg was fresh and the ketchup used was Camden's, made with no HFCS! catsup. everything is delivered fresh daily and cooked to order! Folks might balk at the size of the burger but it's all locally sourced and do you really NEED more than a quarter pound of beef? Well, sometimes yes but not for these burgers. Trust me when I say that they will sate you and fill your tummy nicely without feeling engorged with cow.

These burgers are damn near perfect. Unlike a lot of the gut-bombs offered in Portland, Little Big Burger's burgers are anything but; they're downright petite. But the balance is spot-on. The interplay of flavors between the squishy bun, gooey cheesy and just-packed-enough meat is as good as it gets. Not to mention the Fry Sauce. Oh gods the Fry Sauce. Yes, I know it's technically just their Camden's "catsup" mixed with Hellman's mayo, but it's a sauce of simple beauty. And it complements the fries so well! The fries have a hint of truffle oil, which I enjoy since most truffle fries are practically bathed in the oil and end up overpowering your taste buds before you finish them. The root beer floats ain't too shabby either. A burger, fries and drink comes in at a super-reasonable $9 flat. $10 if you tip the fry cook. (Which, of course, you should)

Average at best. Should be called sliders not burgers. Fries were good. I'd give the hamburger 2 stars and the fries 4 stars.

  • Charity K.

Little Big Burger is great for quick, quality burgers and delicious truffle fries that can please meat-eaters and vegetarians. The patties and buns themselves are a little larger than a slider but stacked with fresh ingredients. I'm also a fan of the local beer choices and the delicious fry sauce. They've recently expanded into several locations throughout Portland and for the price of a food cart, you can also have warmth and interior dining. Good stuff!

Of the LBB's in Southeast, this is the one I recommend. It's bigger, brighter and friendlier than its Division counterpart. Which, in my experience is often way crowded. (Note, these are not scientifically relevant sample sizes, so like...if it's crowded--sorry man.) This is the part where I recommend what you should order. Um? Everything. The menu items are countable on one hand, so just go nuts. And if you like goat cheese, get the chevre. It's melts buttery and thick into the burger patty. And if you're on a quest for the best fries, you might find them here. I crave them.

Good little burger joint. Not overly filling. Love that I can get a old German beer with my meal. Service is fast. Parking is difficult but just park on a side street. Good first date location if she's down for a burger.

The workers are super nice and the burgers are super good! They even have cheap beer to pair with the burger! Def a go to for us when we are craving a "fast food" type burger thats not fast food!

I'm so jealous this is walking distance from my friends house but let's face it my waist is thanking me:) Just checked out this location after only trying the one the Pearl. Much easier to find parking at least for now it is. The burger was dam tasty and made to order just to my specifics and the fries were crispy and delicious although I think truffle oil is overrated!I still think Fosters has the best burgers in Portland but this place is not too shabby. Staff is super sweet too.

Even though the name of Micah Camden's growing upscale fast-food empire (Portland's answer to In-N-Out, if I may be so bold) prominently features the word "burger," in my opinion the real stars here are the french fries and the ketchup. Or catsup, as they call it. Which is not to say the burgers aren't delicious. They are! Everything about them screams quality, from the perfectly seasoned beef patty topped with your choice of cheese (by all means GET THE CHEVRE!!) to the freshly-baked brioche bun. Some people complain about the size of the burgers, but even though they are smaller in width than what you're probably used to, these suckers are TALL. And they're 1/4 pound. If one doesn't fill you up, get two. (Make sure that second one ALSO HAS CHEVRE!!). Chances are, you'll be too busy scarfing down THE BEST FRIES IN PORTLAND to think about eating another burger. They are nice and crispy, perfectly seasoned with sea salt and - the coup de grace - drizzled with truffle oil. Just enough to lend a subtle taste. And for god's sake, don't forget that ketch...I mean, catsup. It's tangy, slightly spicy, and made with organic, all-natural ingredients. Because this is Portland, one of those ingredients is hemp. Seriously. This stuff is just about the tastiest ketchup I've ever had. During my last visit I asked if I could buy a bottle, but apparently they have run into issues with their manufacturer that has delayed its commercial release. Still, the cashier was kind enough to suggest I fill up as many plastic to-go containers as I could and take home what I wanted. Score! I stopped at two, but only because I didn't want to appear greedy. Speaking of great service, on a prior visit (this one to the Pearl District location) I ordered chevre (because YOU HAVE TO GET THE CHEVRE!!) but my burger arrived topped with cheddar. There was a line out the door so I didn't say anything, but fired off a quick email when I got home. The manager responded within hours inviting me back for a free meal on the house. All I had to do was tell the cashier she had sent me. I was skeptical but did as I was told, and they never questioned me; I was treated promptly and courteously, and this time my burger came topped with wonderful, glorious chevre. All for no charge. THAT is great service. When you've got that in addition to excellent food, it's 5 stars all the way, baby!

I loved my burger! I didn't get a chance to try the fries, but I've heard that they are rich and amazing from many friends. I liked the atmosphere- very fun and laid back. You can definitely tell that the ingredients are fresh.

Good, simple, small burgers. This place reminds me of Dicks or In n out burgers. I got a hamburger and truffle fries and both were really good. The burger was flavorful and a good size for a snack. The truffle fries had a good amount of truffle oil and was one of the best fries I've had in Portland. Another great thing I liked about the place was the music they had playing. They had old school r&b/hip-hop!

It wasn't enough that we had to watch the two sad pseudo-hipster girls bob their heads to Talib Kweli as though they were in need of immediate medical attention, the young men working the counter were perhaps even younger than these very special fellow guests, and of a similar mentality. It was not busy when we came here, but every table in the establishment was dirty while the four young gentlemen at the counter stood in plain sight, staring blankly at the few customers in the dining area. The joke of the day was "How many Little Big Burger Employees does it take to clean off a table?" We ordered the truffle fries and a burger. To be honest, I love that they have the pink fry sauce. Yum. Like I need the extra calories, but that sauce is irresistible. The truffle fries- okay. They're good. But they're not the rich delicate culinary explosion that ought to be called "Truffle fries". They're good fries with a drizzle of truffle oil. The burger, while tasting decent, came out looking like an abomination. These guys did the beautiful brioche bun LLB boasts by smashing it into a wad in the paper wrapper, consequently tossing it with the grease from the patty. The taste was okay, but the experience as a whole was really terrible. Clear up until the two head-bobbing, not-even-cool-enough-to-be-hipster girls danced out the door (still to Talib Kweli) in a horrifying seizure-like fit. In unison. Maybe the other locations offer a better experience and quality, I don't know. I think I'd rather drop in to Local Cow or Dick's Kitchen, or even Burgerville. This is kind of a play place for pretentious teenagers, guest and employee alike.

This is a weak 4. The burgers are a bit too small and way too over cooked. I would guess that they were very well done. the bun veggie ratio was good and the veggies tasted fresh. I will have to say that the fries were the best I have had in Portland. Saltym crunchy, and not that greasy. MMMM.... They also had a couple of fun suauces. Locally made catsup with a nice hot zing. And then another with a mix of the catsup and mayo. the place had a feel of a franchise... Not very warm. And they played loud but enjoyable music, All in all we had a good time and will probably come back.

Great burger, currently the best fries I've had in Portland, and excellent fry sauces. Sadly, they didn't let me have a double, but I understood why when I got my burger. The reason for the 3 stars was for the two-faced boys manning the register and the grill. If you're going to talk crap about the customers (not just me), make sure that they don't hear you next time. I'll try my best next time not to hover near the pick-up window so I don't get in your space and hear the negativity.

I rarely eat red meat because of that one documentary, but this is the place I come when I'm ready to ignore my species guilt and have a treat. Their burgers are almost always perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, toppings just right, buns perky and moist, dayum! And bonus, the hottest little Portland hipsters work & eat here so it's like a leer fest too. But their veggie burger is my usual order. You guys. This is what veggie burgers should be... crunchy and flavorful, not slimy and bland like Burgerville veggie burgers, GOD so slimy and bland!! The truffle fries are better than your average fries, but when I'm impatiently stuffing them into my face in clusters of four and five, I can't help but think they could be a little better. For some reason, this location doesn't do as good a job with them as the other locations. Whatevs eat ur awesome truffle fries. PS, LBB: don't think I haven't noticed that you over-stuff your fry sleeves as a matter of policy, causing a ton of extra fries to spill into the bag, which is like, just the best thing ever right, when you're pulling your crap out and there's extra fries everywhere to eat RIGHT NOW even before you've got it all setup with the dipping sauce ready or your Big Love reruns queued up or even a napkin or anything. You don't even have to share them with anyone you love, fries in the bag are finders eaters! Love that! For you price whiners, you get what you pay for, do you not? Hippies? High quality ingredients. If you don't like it, get a third job like the rest of us.

Back in the old days, you had do go all the way downtown just to get your hands on one of these precious meat-treasures of happiness. I'd sit back and munch, fantasizing about a day when LBB would pop up all over Portland. Only a few years later, and there's a Little Big Burger in almost every major neighborhood. The newest addition Hawthorne LBB is parked right down my block. Though I played no part of their expansion and conquering of Portland and the city's collective tastebuds -- I can't help but feel like a proud mom. It's awesome to see good food get the recognition it deserves. Simplicity and quality ingredients all mixed up into one handful of pure burger-joy.

Cute little fast food burger joint. Order at the counter, very small menu (I actually like that because I'm very indecisive and big menus means more chances I'd pick the wrong thing to order on the menu) and very limited seating. The Fries are worth a decent shout out. The burger itself is small, so you can either order one for a snack or you can order two for a decent meal (just a suggestion/tip). The burger isn't anything super special but I think the fries is what helps this place stay in competition with other burger joints. That and it's alluring decor. Makes this place seem so hip, new and trendy, who wouldn't want to eat and hang out here? It looks cool.

  • Rebecca R.

Good burgers. I like the simplicity of the menu; it doesn't try to be fancy which is good for a burger place. There are two things that I really don't care for at LBB. First, truffle oil on the fries. I don't get the obsession with mushrooms/truffles and wish this was an option rather than the norm. Since they only have fountains sodas and no iced tea I just get water. Hubby gets a regular size cup with ice. I get served a tiny cup with no ice for water. I asked for two cups (so I don't have to walk backup for a refill) and the guy then asks if I want a regular size cup. I said yes and he fills up a cup with no ice. Why? Why is there a difference in presentation? So frustrating.

Ohhh the truffle fries! If I could convince someone to make garlic aioli for them, I'd be there everyday. It's a tough corner to stop or park around. Best take your bike or walk.

I was pretty sad seeing Blue Pig Cafe go, but I'm welcoming Little Big Burger with open arms. Their menu is straight forward, no frills, instead just a mouthful of thrills. Fat quarter pound cascade natural beef patty wedged between heaven and earth (little buns) with your choice of cheeses: cheddar, swiss, chevre, bleu, or pepper jack. The game changer isn't the burgers, but instead the Truffle Fries! Yukon gold potatoes aka crack, fried in truffle oil dusted with sea salt. Need I say more? Btw don't forget the fry sauce, brings me back to Artic Circle days!

First time at little big burger today. We took the whole family of 5. Everyone got a burger and we ordered 3 fries to share. I would go here just for the fries! Not that the burger wasn't delicious, it really was! The fries are fried in truffle oil and cooked to perfection! I cant wait to go back :)

These burgers are simultaneously little and big, which is to say, c'mon, this is already a Portland institution! But the real excitement is that now there is a Little Big Burger smack in the middle of my work to home, home to work commute! I'm gonna call it, Little Big Burger is the new Burgerville except better, or the new Five Guys, except not quite as prevalent yet, oh and smaller, but still destined for bigness! This is a new era people! A Little Big Burger on every corner! A smart car in every garage! Parking lots full of nothing but compact spots! Reduce! Reuse! Little Big Burger! Woot!

  • Skye T.

I normally love Little Big Burger but was horribly disappointed by this one. The service was horrible and the food took forever. The one person not on break was more concerned with his friends that came in than customers. If you want the same food, I'd recommend making the trip to Division.

I've only tried the burgers and fries here, pretty basic and uninspired. It's not bad food. But with so many excellent choices for eats in the area, unless you have a burger craving and can't wait...

So this story begins with a group of coworkers who were savagely hungry and looking for a delicious place to get lunch from. After at least 6-7 phone calls with no answer we sent a member of our party on a dire mission to seek Little Big Burger. Upon his return we found that some things seemed to be missing! We sent him back out in search of the missing food! Once he returned yet again with the missing items we each sat down to devour our spoils. I ordered 2 of the hamburgers and found that while tasty, didn't seem to live up to the $4 dollar price. While the bun was a delight the meat was curiously red, which they taught us in culinary school is a bit like a stranger danger. Being at the level of hangry (hungry+angry) I marched on and ate my burgers only to be still a bit hungry. If I win the lottery or feel like looking like a gluten then I will most definitely return! Until then, I'll watch you from afar!
