It's been a while since I've been there and I'm not sure if there are new owners or what but most of the things never changed. But one item they don't have there is the chicken curry they have on Fridays. That's a shame, I like curry. It's a small place, it really focus more on take out orders than eating in. I eventually ordered the teriyaki chicken meal for $6.50. The breat meat chicken was over cooked and dry, but it did have flavor to it. It also came with some veggies and rice, so it was a pretty decent meal. The co-worker had clam chowder, she said it wasn't bad at all and consumed the entire bowl of soup. They do charge extra if you don't purchase more than $5.00 in items if you used a credit card. It's not bad, and the price is alright.

UPDATE: Recently featured on KPTV's Dirty Dining kptv.com/category/210111… Three people in my office building have had moldy food experiences here. I myself purchased a fruit cup, only to eat half and find the bottom half to be moldy. When I returned the next day and complained about my fruit cup, still giving them the benefit of the doubt and allowing them to make up for their mistake, they didn't offer me any kind of refund or replacement fruit cup. I would not recommend this place for any reason. Even the pre-packaged items aren't safe - bottled bevs usually expired. I am surprised this place has managed to stay open. Looking at their Health Inspection history, they CLEARLY have issues with dating their food. GROSS! www3.multco.us/MCHealthI…

Had breakfast there and it was not good. Asked for bacon and got sausage. Coffee came with the meal, but the lady initially charged me for the coffee (she fixed the mistake after I pointed it out). When I got my meal, I kept having to ask for things: ketchup, a little jam container for my toast, a knife. The food itself was rot gut. I like greasy spoon American breakfast, but this was just too much. I wasn't ready to eat food again till much later in the day. Maybe they're better at making turkey sandwiches, which seems to be what they focus on. In the meantime, they should stop dabbling in the breakfast arts.

I used to like the lunch, but its not as good recently as it used to be. I still like the veggie breakfast burrito; it's filling and tasty.

Good food and good people! I ate lunch there Friday. I had a delicious tuna melt and taro bubble tea. However, I accidentally left my bag on the back of my chair; and did not realize it until after they had closed - when I was leaving for home from work. They were not open all weekend. I contacted them early this morning when they first opened. They'd found my bag! I had everything returned to me! :) So happy!

Fresh roasted turkey in a myriad of dishes? Yum. I'm all about it. Turkey + little to no sleep the previous night = not a smart idea for work. Regardless, this place is doable for a quick lunch. It's absolutely reasonably priced, which probably explains the line of people. I think if it weren't for price factor [$5 for a sandwich], the 'meh' factor would win over. I'm curious if specializing in one or two things, like just sandwiches/wraps and soups, instead of incorporating turkey dinners and bento would solve some problems. Being all over the place probably produces a whole lot more mediocrity than necessary. The idea of a turkey dinner does sound divine though, but I didn't need to drool all over my desk while I slept. Smoothies and espresso also round out the menu. I didn't get to see what kind of beans they were using, but I didn't see anyone ordering up anything either. Maybe it's a sign. The interior reminds me of a cross between a fast food joint and a convenience store. It's really bizarre. Cold tile floors, food, and greeting cards on the wall? So random. I work close enough though; I doubt I'd actually ever eat inside. It's not exactly Subway as far as options go, but the sandwich was pretty good. I just wish they'd use better lettuce.

It gets two stars because of the price. A normal sized make-at-home sandwich and a small "bowl" of soup + water to drink for $8.75. That's about 3 bucks too much. The food is very good and service is fast, but the price kills.

Like many things in life, this place has gone down a little in quality over the years. I still find it quite nice for lunch, however. I get the Turkey Plus sandwich and usually some Turkey Noodle soup. There's a lot of take-out going on, so even at High Lunch Hour the place doesn't get morbidly crowded. Believe me, you could do a whole lot worse....

I work downtown, and that is where Kaffee Bistro is, thus it is a downtown lunch spot. The feature is roasted whole turkeys, which they make fresh each and every day. So, the menu consists of a lot of turkey menu choices. I gotta tell you, it's great to eat a big fat warm plate of comfort food smack in the middle of a cold rainy Portland afternoon--but then you go back to your desk and fall into a food coma.... Anyway, highly recommend the salads--fresh turkey breast, greens, steamed asparagus, hard boiled eggs, walnuts, and cranberries--you can grab one from the counter and be on your way in no time, and not feel terrible about what you ate for lunch. The turkey meals are not bad--except I think they switched to fake mashed potatos--WTF? Gross. Gravy is nice...gravy is always nice on anything. The potato soup, available only on 2 days per week if memory serves--is delish. And my friend and I gained like 20 pounds one year by eating it too frequently.... Mmm.

So, I was being a total tourist and was looking down on the Willamette River and kind of stumbled upon this little sandwich/convenience store/card shoppe. The place was small and very clean. The lady at the counter acknowledged me with a hello, then went back to doing whatever it was she was doing as I stood at the counter for about 3 min before she actually looked at me. (She was standing directly in front of me) I decided on a Turkey Melt that came with a tiny bag of chips and a drink. Came to about 8 dollars, but I figured it had to be delicious, right? Even though I asked to eat inside,my lunch came in a to-go baggie. Trying to tell me something lady?.... Anyway, the turkey was very bland, and I couldn't even tell you what kind of cheese was in it, as I couldn't taste that either. Normally I'm pretty lenient on some tastes, but I was kinda hoping this sandwich would have been good, if not sensational for the price. The only thing it had going for it was that it was steaming hot.
