One of my favorite restaurants . They offer very tasty food at a reasonable price. The portions are great. My favorite dish is the fajitas and would totally recommend it. The service is outstanding, very friendly, so leaving a tip is always a pleasure.

This place was awesome! Their food reminded me of my Grandma's cooking. The service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive without being bothersome. All in all this was my most enjoyable meal out in awhile. This is sure to become one of our go to places.

Went for the "Monday/Tuesday: 2 combos for $14" deal last night. I was disappointed that there are several combos of the same price (that were better options) that weren't included in the deal. The food we got was good, as usual, but the service was really slow. We were the only ones sitting in the bar (had to watch football) so we were probably forgotten about several times. When we did get service they were quite pleasant. Will go back just because of the proximity to home.

Been coming here for at least 15 years. They are always nice to me, and the food is always good. Really like their chips and salsa. I recommend the chicken super nacho with green sauce poured over it. $7 and I usually take half of it home for a night time snack.

To start of with, the food taste/quality salvaged this trip. Our service was AWFUL. We ordered our drinks (a pop and a beer) and it took almost 15 minutes to get them after we ordered. Our waiter came and took our order, which arrived relatively promptly, but he never came back to check on us or to get us refills until we were done eating. When that happened, I asked for a box and he never did bring that! We had to ask someone else. It wasn't even busy. We may go back again, in the hopes that last night was just a bad night. Hopefully the service will be much better.

The service was OK... the food was horrible..chicken so over cooked it could have been called jerky. the rice was burned and smelled like smoke. the seafood was NOT fresh and smelly... the chips and salsa were good and the drinks were very good. there were other customers yelling about how long the orders took and they were not busy. i cannot belive how poor quality my dinner was. i ordered the ranchito plate. shrimp chicken and scallops at $16.50 it was a horrible disappointment. dont know if i will go back again...if i do it will be for the drinks and chips

We used to go to the El Indio on Halsey, but we live closer to this location now. The service can sometimes be slow even when they are not busy, but so far we've had food that is similar in quality to the original El Indio location. The salsa is still best around, and despite being slow the servers have all been friendly.

Came here to celebrate my husbands birthday and had an absolute blast. Had only about 15 of our close friends there and it was perfect. Not packed, had karaoke, drinks were great and the owner was way too cool. I would recommend this place for a good weekend spot on the bar side if you don't like a crowded place. The food was also very good.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
