On the way back from the chiropracters (not for me) I start getting light headed and am desperate for for food! What's quick and close? better than Mcdonalds but not as expensive or long a wait as Burgerville? DQ. I know I have gone here at least once since moving to Portland - but so long ago and far away that i simply don't recall. $5 lunches include fries, soda and small sundae - not too shabby. The burgers are pretty good and substantial. I like the sauce - that dripped over everything! The chicken tenders were even better! Why they serve it with a piece of toast is beyond me. Is it supposed to be garlic toas?. Please! The fries tasted good at first but as soon as they got even a little bit cold, they seemed so icky and waxy and started tasting like crap. Of course from memory - the real reason to go here is the Blizzard - but I'm simply too old and lactose intolerant for that! The sundae was ok - e few bites is all I really want anyhow. Somewhere around 3.5 stars is about right. Not a long wait, as close as can be, and better than the usual! But I can get out of Micky Ds for $3....

If you're going through the drive-thru, save yourself the time and go elsewhere. They can never get our blizzard orders correct when we go through the drive-thru. The sizes are always wrong and they leave out toppings.

They should close this location! Heed the advice of the others and avoid! Raj the night time manager? Very disrespectful, there's a McDonald's across the street and a Baskin Robbins down the road. I asked for a small cone of vanilla ice cream and raj said they were out of cones....I could literally see the cones on the ice cream machine and he said that those cones weren't for sale?! DO NOT GO HERE!

Very POOR customer service. They flat out refused to accept our DQ electronic gift certificate. Didn't even look at it or explain why. Very rude.

I go through drive through and order a simple burger with a (what they call a blizzard) should be melted ice cream in a cup and the amount of time it took them to get me my stuff I could have drove home took a quick shower and drive back before my food was done. This location use to be the talk of the town now it's a lost chapter in a fairy tale book. In addition DO NOT GET THE MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER it's so disgusting. The owners and managers are only after the money not customer satisfaction

Ice cream was too soft. They refused to do a dipped cone on swirl ice cream (every other DQ does it. The Oreo cookies in the blizzard were stale and old. Worst DQ experience

I do love going to Dairy Queen for the occasional burger, but I was met with total indifference by the staff. Unfortunately the food was also indifferent, bland, not the usually good Dairy Queen products. Not a smile on a face anywhere. Sad staff, sad food. Won't be coming back.

Horrible service. It's national ice cream day and we couldn't get any ice cream. Also wouldn't let me substitute an ingredient in a blizzard without charging me more.

My order for two items was 13$. When I got home both items were made incorrectly. I called and nicely explained the issue. The young teen clerk was rude, combative and condescending. She acted as though i was trying to get something for free when i was simply trying to get what i paid for. She refused to replace the items so i asked to speak to a manager. She refused to tell me when someone would be available to speak with me. I thanked her for her customer service and vowed to try again. I called hours later and spoke to someone who stated they were "the owner " . After recalling my tale she agreed that the products should be replaced and said she would "talk to the staff about their attitude towards customers". So tonight we go back and for a third time explain the situation and ask for our items. After waiting for 10 minutes we finally get to speak to another manager who stated that she was "not told about this and youll have to come back another time and talk to them". When i asked who "them" was, she stated the owner. Needless to say i got no where. She refused to replace the items even after all of this back and forth. THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EXPERIENCED IN YEARS. The staff did a poor job and messed up my order. They were then defensive and rude when this was called to their attention. No one wanted to help or make things right. They had horrible teenager lack of real life experience attitudes. And zero follow through on promises or communicating amongst each other. Im now out more time and money and just super pissed off. Just because this is the only DQ in st john, doesn't mean you get to treat customers this way. You owe me 13$. Id rather drive to Portland to get blizzards then go back to this place. The kids in charge need some serious training. They are running your business into the ground by being crappy to your paying customers, wasting their time, giving them crappy glares and being generally unhelpful. #itsnotmyfaultyouworkatDQ

Whatever you can get at Dairy Queen, you can get better somewhere else. And that somewhere else generally being someplace local and better quality. I can't always stay away from their cherry dipcones though, which I actually haven't been able to find somewhere else! My primary tiff with this place is that if they're going to advertise something on their reader board, they should probably ensure that it's actually available. I recently went their for the first time in about a year because I was lured in by the promise of a peppermint blizzard. Upon ordering I was told it's no longer in season.

I do not recommend this location. They have made multiple mistakes with my Blizzard orders, and been unwilling to replace them for me when I have notified them that they gave me the wrong item. Very poor customer service, and rude manager. Many of their ingredients seem old and dry, occasionally even stale. I love Dairy Queen, but this location is really terrible.

After looking all over town, this place said they hand dipped their dilly bars. We verbally confirmed this twice and proceded on our way. After driving out of our way and arriving at the store, they handed me a prepackaged dilly bar! The only response was, "Sorry, our employee gave you false information". To top it off, I think it was the manager since he approved the $2.20 charge for the exchange to a blizzard. After giving us bad info and making us go out of our way, they at least could have given us the swap for free. Bad service and bad information.

Worst DQ location I have ever been to. They won't put sprinkles on a cone, and for some unknown reason they dip chocolate or vanilla soft serve cones but not twist cones.

They've really seemed to be skimping on the mixin's lately and the staff can be downright rude at times. Won't be going back to this one.

Don't eat the food much, but they make the best dipped ice cream cones. A lot of Dairy Queen's never seem to get it right, but this location has it down pat!

It's a Dairy Queen. Nothing more, nothing less. On a few lat night runs, I've been told they were out of chocolate ice cream. It seemed more like they had cleaned the machine and didn't want to redo it. But it was just the one time.
