This is a great place to go if you're looking for something quick and pretty healthy. This location has an extremely small private parking lot with approximately 12 parking spaces. During lunch or dinner hour have to find parking here. This location is also very busy and therefore a lot of times they are running low on certain items and you may have to wait a short while. It's assembly line fresh mex. You can choose tacos, burritos, salad, quesadilla, or a bowl. Protein choices are tofu sofritas, chicken, pork or beef. They have brown rice and white rice to choose from and pinto beans and black beans. Fajita vegetables, pico, guacamole, several salsas, cheese, sour cream etc. They offer a couple different brews and Patron margaritas. #39

Let me start by saying, I liked them better when they were called Starbuck's Burrito Corporation. But do not dismay, I am not speaking of Chipotleâ„¢, I'm speaking of chipotle. This chipotle is a skid mark on the face of a fantastic fast food company. Example: soggy tasteless boring assembly plant food items assembled by sad boring people slinging slop, albeit non-gmo awesome food, but sadly prepped and boring. The green bell peppers are just waved over a hot pan to make them think that they are cooked fajita style but they're not because they try to do everything here faster than fast food which really turns it upside down from what their motto is, which I think is "good food fast". Maybe that's some other fast food empire that touts that tag line but this chipotle is not good it's just fast. Ugh, I hate writing bad reviews for places I like but seriously. They're trying too hard and failing so easily. Fast is just no good no matter how "good" your ingredients are. Sorry Chipotleâ„¢ but you just can't have it both ways. Either be fast or be good. So, I guess I am actually speaking of Chipotleâ„¢... Damnit!!! I used to love their burritos! But now thanks to this craptacular location, I now loathe Chipotleâ„¢. Can I say something good about them? Yes, absolutely! They are blazing a path to non-gmo foods and humanely raised farmed meats in a huge way and I so love them for that and they are commendable for their actions in that regard. Where they lost me was in their race to be faster than anyone else in fast food. Food should take time to cook, prepare , and to ultimately eat! To have the simple humility to honor and respect the food that we harvest, raise and then eat is to be in right action to our health and the health of our planet and place with it. Fast food is so 1980's anyway that if you're still in the biz you're behind the times! So there you have it. Do with this what you will. Hashtag disappointment, hashtag hippietalking

Love their brand and quality. Taco bell/time are bottom feeders to compared to this place. I like how they show you the food as they make it and keep the line moving. It's very fresh food and hearty. I don't like how much they charge for chips & guac or the price of drinks but its a good place to eat. I wish they had a drive thur or 2 cashiers.

I just found a live MAGGOT IN MY BURRITO! I hadn't eaten all day and threw down $10 for some food got half way through the burrito to find a transparent worm wiggling around. The line was out the door too, I wanted to tell everyone.

The NE Wiedler Chipolte Mexican Grill in Portland has great food at very reasonable prices and the staff is awesome however from 11 am to 12 pm they are incredibly slow. If you're in a hurry from 11 to 12 this isn't the place to go. Wait times can run as high as twenty minutes before noon. If you can wait you will get great food unfortunately I had to give up on the place. They do get an additional star for brewing their iced tea which seem harder and harder to find in Portlandia.

  • Michael G.

This may be the busiest chipotle I have ever seen. But you would not know it. For such a tiny space they have like 6 workers shoulder to shoulder getting you thru the line in record time The only real issue is the seating and parking. You may have to walk a couple of blocks and eat in you car!

I'm in Fargo right now and ate at a Chipotle here. It made me think about how I have higher expectations for Chipotle because of this location. I wondered if I had reviewed this location and it looks like I had. Clearly that needs updating. We've been eating here consistently over the past several months and every experience has been great. The staff here has been so much better than other Chipotle locations and better than they had been a year or two ago. Whatever they're doing is working. I hope they keep it up.

Like most americans, I'm a big fan of Chipotle and this location is no exception. We come here at least twice a week for lunch during the workweek. While the line is always long, they're usually pretty quick and the service is always friendly. My biggest complaint is that I hate the fact my meal usually costs me an extra $1.50 in parking because their lot never has any spots leftl.

    (4)
  • Mike B.

Man I love Chipotle. This one is good. Normal portion sizes. People are friendly. The floor is swept regularly. There are plenty of napkins. Somebody smoked crack in the bathroom, so now there's a bathroom code. But other than that everything's great.

  • James D. H.

Another chain but decent food. Not pricey but fair for what you get. They rail you through the line so they can serve the masses. I get it but I know a lot of people will or are put off by that kind of service.

  • Toni Rose D.

For the first time, there wasn't a long line so that was exciting to see. I brought my family here since they've never tried chipotle and my partner and I are huge fans. The food was great; the service not so much. The cashier referred to my partner as him, and I corrected her and she then repeated herself with the wrong pronoun to correct me. Rude. Then, we ordered a margarita but they forgot to make it so my partner was already almost finished with her food. Now that I'm writing this, it's making me more annoyed.

  • Rick C.

I don't understand the "hype" for this chain. First time for us visiting Chipotle Mexican Grill. Maybe it is only this location (704 NE Weidler Street) that didn't impress me and the other locations are more impressionable. We will try another location to see if better. This location needed housekeeping in the dining area. Tables were not being wiped down after customers. Paper napkins, plastic utensils, scraps of food were on the floor. If you need to use the restroom, you had to ask the employees to open the key-coded lock to open the door.

  • Julia S.

I'm a sucker for Chipotle. Bring on the long lines and rushed through service... I'll endure it all... just for a gigantic baby-sized Steak burrito. Every day.

    (4)
  • Alison V.

The service was very quick, and if you've been to Chipotle before they do have good food. My go-to is the naked chicken burrito (or bowl), chips and guacamole. I was impressed with how fast they were when it was during rush hour. Good location in Portland, if you haven't been to this Mexican food joint you should check it out.

  • Brittanie M.

Wow. I finally get the hype about Chipotle. I had an odd urge to retry this place this past week and I'm glad I did! The menu is very simple to decipher and makes it easy to figure out what you want in a hurry. When I got here the line was nearly out the door, but it only took a couple minutes to get my food! And I had no idea they have margaritas! That was a total game changer. Plus they are very generous with their guacamole portions. Sold!

  • John S.

This location is frequently extremely busy and well staffed for those lunch rushes. I've been in twice over the past two weeks and have been presented with consistently negative attitudes from the staff. I'm very fortunate to have this quality food establishment that will serve me at off hours of the day when local food cart options aren't available. But showing up at 3:00 or 3:30 and being presented with an attitude when trying to pay for a single burrito with a single swipe of a debit card shouldn't be so acrimonious. The first time it happened I told myself I wasn't going back. But then, of course, weak willed, I end up back in line a week later and get a similar negative attitude from a different employee. Too bad.

As a touring band, sometimes we have to choose between gas or eating. Chipotle hooked us up with some great food! Eternal gratitude! Thank you thank you thank you!

  • Kelly L.

RAD. Super nice staff there. Non-sketchy. Non-gmo and organic ingredients often. It is a weekly go-to for me. Vegan options yes! However their sofritas need a recipe re-vamp. I can make way better. Also Chipotle decision makers--vegan cheese or sour creme anyone--please?

This is a review for THIS SPECIFIC location. I sometimes get lenses sent to me via Fed Ex, I pick them up at the FedEx across the street. This is an exciting event for me. I mounted one such lens on my camera and headed over to Chipotle to eat. They told me to leave and that no photography was allowed at this location (I took a couple photos of the outside and then of my feet on the inside. It was an ultra-wide lens). I've taken many pictures in-and-around Chipotle (and so have other people at this location according to Yelp, not sure why I was singled out, maybe because I wasn't using my cellphone?) and have never been treated this way? Why is this one so different? Was there "an incident"? Who knows, they would not explain themselves to me. I love Chipotle (seriously, I defend it from chain-hating Portlanders on a weekly basis, it's one of the only reasons I got through college), but I will not be visiting this location. Shame on you guys.

    (1)
  • Ziggy L.

I come here all the time and usually super quick but lately they seek to be letting staff go home before the rush. Not fast after 1:30 pm if you are in a hurry.

    (4)
  • Tiffany L.

I love Chipotle. Am I necessarily PROUD of that? No, not really. It's the complete opposite of authentic, not gourmet by any means, but it's good for a quick bite and will have an infinite place in my heart. I had to Yelp this Chipotle because this was the nicest Chipotle staff, ever, in the history of Chipotle staff. The customer service here is off the hook. Amazing job, guys! I love the new tofu option too, and I love that they offer brown rice. It's pretty easy to be healthy here, and if you look up their Nutritional info, pretty easy to stay around 500 calories for a filling, quick and yummy dinner. So much better than most other fast food joints. I also adore that they sell beer and margaritas because, well, I love booze. I do not adore that they charge so much extra for guacamole, but what can you do? Their chips are the saltiest things in the world, but man are they delicious. Thanks, Chipotle. Love ya.

Just left Chipotle on NE 7th /Broadway in Portland.. My chicken bowl was very good. Nicely grilled chicken, fresh ingredients, tasty salsa. Pleasant staff. My brother's steak on his bowl was chewy & fatty. The other ingredients were good like mine. We'll be back but won't order steak.

So I just did the math, and I think I've eaten at least 500 Chipotle burritos since I started going there in 2007. Started out going to a few different ones in Los Angeles, but since moving to Portland this has been my exclusive Chipotle location. I love this place. I eat burritos probably 10 times a week and Chipotle is my favorite. Always the same burrito. White rice, black beans, fajitas, chicken, pico, tomatillo, corn, and guac. Heaven. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I would consider it far from "authentic", but that doesn't change the fact that it's so damn good. The quality of their ingredients far surpasses what most other burrito places use, and you can really taste it. It's pricey, but their burritos are absolutely one of the largest you can find anywhere in town. I only wish they would open another location in North Portland!

    (5)
  • Chris L.

Quick! Easy to get to. Always get the chicken bowl. It's something i know is of good quality. It's funny what the other reviewer was complaining about: the level of done-ness of his steak. You're at a chipotle! They didn't have a waiter come to your table to ask you how you would like your steak. I understand if it's raw. Rare is ok. He should have just filed a complaint with chipotle corporate; which i've done once. They're always really quick and responsive.

  • Kimberly V.

Ahem. In the five years since this review first made its appearance, I've become its Duchess, and one must pay her Duchy dues. I eat here all the damn time. Like, even on my days off. They sell beer, it's not so far-fetched! The staff recognizes me. One is even so bold as to bid me adios by saying "See you tomorrow!" I think she's joking. I'm not sure. I'm not really planning to eat there tomorrow, but I guess that will vary depending on when you read this and how shameless I'm feeling. It's just filling, really tasty fast food, and you have to respect that so long as you're not expecting to be served , repeat the old warhorse with me now, Authentic Mexican Food. And if you are, you are a fucking moron. This is Chipotle, not some roadside Oaxacan cantina. Food is food is food is food is food is food. You also gotta respect that Chipotle at least makes an effort to use only locally available produce and mostly grass-fed (entirely hormone-free) meat. Or maybe you don't respect that, but that's a pretty distinct line in the sand for a fast food joint and an important one. If the place had the same practice and wasn't a chain, everyone on the blogs and the weeklies and the Interwebz would be crowing their praises. So yeah, consider this my less-snobby but well-fed retraction.

I love chipotle! Especially the Lloyd location. The food and customer service is always great! It's one of the only foods I will eat when I'm sick

Really well priced for the quantity and quality of food you get. Fast and friendly service. Tables need more attention too, but overall not a bad place. I will be coming again.

Been to the very original Chipotle restaurant in Boulder, Colorado and they don't change from place to place. The food is excellent, high quality and staff is always friendly anywhere. Wait can be long, but well worth it at any location.

  • Laura C.

Love this Chipotle location! There are always plenty of staff working (one person for each part of the assembly line!) and they are super friendly. During lunch hour, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes for my to-go order! :D

  • Mel D.

I'm continuously impressed by you, Chipotle. Your quality ingredients and commitment to working with family farmers. Your delicious preparation of the ingredients. You simple pricing model. Your incredibly efficient burrito-making/check-out process. My fiancé doesn't like eating the same food over and over again so he's limited us to once a week. That doesn't stop me from going to you solo. I just wish parking was easier.

I've been going to Chipotle way before they got famous off of the CEO's appearance on the Food Inc. doc years ago. I'm a big supporter of single or chain restaurants that serve food with REAL ingredients.....organic, sustainable. For a chain to do that is unprecedented..and I mean they exist in a few states, so that's a tremendous task on their part to ensure quality ingredients are being sourced. When it comes to the taste of the food, there's a lot more to be desired (Muchas Gracias across the street smells more authentic, but they turned me off years ago when they were exposed on the local news for serving a customer a burrito with menudo [cow intestines] in it, when they don't even make that dish). One big thing that they don't do is let the sauces get room temperature or mix it in with the hot beans so it warms up some before the customer eats it. Ain't nothing worse than cold ingredients in a burrito. That's why they only get 4 stars...plus the fact that the overall smell of the place is reminiscent of a high school cafeteria. But they did hit a winner with the Sofritas (tofu) mix they introduced in 2013. That is a tasty invention there.

First time at Chipotle and thought it was really good. I had the burrito bowl, which is awesome being that It's a giant burrito in a bowl without the tortilla. Love all the fresh ingredients and homemade chips. I'll be going back for sure!

    (3)
  • Derek M.

Dropping this place to 3 stars because they have made a deliberate decision to downsize their burritos and salad bowls. They also gave less chips per bag. It's a sad story bro.

  • David D.

Service was decent once you passed the First Lady who rushes you to move on -never mind if you never been to a Chipottli Before!! The food was good and the girls liked it. The dining room is in dire need of lighting , better floor and emptier garbage cans. It had Am aura of a mfg line warehouse. Room for improvement !

    (3)
  • Adam M.

Somewhat healthy faster food fare... the employees are usually pretty good , with a rare exception ... but parking at this location just stinks!

    (4)
  • Stephanie A.

LOVE Chipotle! It took a few visits before the workers stopped giving me crazy looks when I ask for no beans and no rice on my steak burrito. Hey, I like what I like! Haha Love this place! Eat here about once a week. The line could be out the door but they get you through so fast!

    (5)
  • Angie P.

WHO DOESN'T LOVE A CHIPOTLE? I suppose many, but not this girl. For about $9 I get a veggie bowl and an Izzie soda. The staff here are really generous with their toppings. You really do get more for your dollar, hollaaar! Plus, it's really nice to go to a place where everyone is smiling and get your fast food to you, faster than you thought. Taco love.

    (4)
  • Steve H.

I don't give a shit what y'all say, I love the burritos here. I think it's the lime-cilantro rice that makes it unique, and the fresh grilled meats put it over the top. This is about as good as a chain fast food restaurant gets.

    (4)
  • Tan Lo S.

Honestly, this place is GREAT. recently had their veggie burrito w/ no rice. Great food, it was fresh and in the price range I want. Healthy, tastes fresh, and has flavor. GREAT workers too. PS. Their tortilla chips are bomb.com !!!!!!!!!!

    (4)
  • Todd C.

I have been going here for years (since they opened their doors) and I don't think the menu has changed at all except for adding brown rice. I am ready for them to add something new to the menu. Maybe some new sauce or something to get me fired up.

    (4)
  • Alfred A.

They have by far the best food !!! I love the chipotle with extra meat rise & vettables . The service is awesome and they always spoils me with extra food . Love it !

  • Olivia T.

I love Chipotle and since being plants eater, there are not many fast food restaurants we can order food from. Chipotle always come to the rescue. We always get the Veggie Bowl with Brown Rice, Black Beans, Bell Peppers & Onions, Corns, the mild salsa, the spicy salsa, and Guacamole. The price is a bargain $6.25 and you will get good size of bowl. This particular Chipotle comes in handy if we are by Lloyd center area. However the service is hit and miss. There's this particular lady behind the counter who wears a grumpy pants. She won't give you bell peppers and onions unless you ask even for Veggie bowl. Make sure you ask for them if you liked them, if not you might not get them.

  • Misty S.

I love Chipotle. This was my first time at this location and it was just as good as the others. Chipotle is a great fast food option. They allow you to make your own healthy choices, they're quick, clean, and the food is flavorful. You really can't go wrong here.

    (4)
  • Holy-foo' X.

The on-line ordering has been far less clunky and far more user-friendly than many similar efforts from some of the well-known chain competitors. We order group carry-out on a regular basis here, and have never had any problems, you know exactly what to expect and get it pretty much every time. Especially love the burrito bowls. The steak, chicken and (pork) carnita meat is tender and mouth-watering. Ole! Wishing fervently for the day they make this one a drive through... and open super late, at least on weekends...

    (4)
  • Mel O.

Um, hi people waiting in that CRAZ-AY line out the door, I'm cooler than you because I have the Chipotle App. Yep. Here's my food right here. I ordered it in my apartment while you waited in line... Now I'm eattin' it while you're still waiting in line. Oh, I've just finished, & whaaa? You're still waiting in line?? But, don't go get the app because then we'll all just be waiting in line again...

    (4)
  • Samantha C.

Bland and expensive. The vegetarian burrito is mostly flavorless rice, as they skimp on the other ingredients. If it's lunchtime on a weekday, walk a few blocks south to 9th and Multnomah and grab a delicious burrito from the Fuego food cart.

The bathrooms are controlled with a key code doorknob. Cleanliness in there is 3.5/5. Parking lot is confusing. Food is incredible.

This place is honestly the best! We love coming here all of the time. Probably more than what we should. They seem to know us fairly well when we come in, and are always smiling and happy to see repeated faces. They are genuine with her questions and take real good care of you with your food. Love that the food is taken care of before it arrives here. Meaning that they don't harm, but take care of the animals before hand, and know what it means to be thoughtful with them. Love the portions and the pricing is great. You get so much more flavor, and portion size from what you pay. It is awful when it comes to parking. Sometimes there is a line, when the parking lot is full. Sometimes you have to circle the place 5 times before you find someone walking out to their car. Or for others, you have to park and wait for someone to leave. Never tried out the burger kind lot area out of fear that someone will see me and maybe get towed. I don't know though. Wish the parking lot was bigger, but I don't think that this is anything that they have never heard before. The chips can be too salty at times, but I have found that they aren't at others. We will always keep coming back to this place as it is a home away from our home for us. Thank you so much for treating us so well.

  • Reina C.

I had never been to a chipotle before, and it was super close to where my friends and I were so we decided to stop by. The people that work there were pretty nice, but somehow my quesadilla was lost on the line behind a few other people. Oh well, it was still fast. What else can I really say. It's a chipotle, the food is alright, it's really cheap, and it's fast.

"Son, there ain't nothing in the middle of the road but yellow lines and dead armadillos." - James Carville In other words, 3 stars are for pussies. It's some shade of good OR it's some shade of bad. Stand up straight and choose. Chipotle. Two stars. Bad Mood Monday needs flavor, brown rice, and more more more guac.

I LOVE Chipotle, it is one of my favorite semi-fast food places. Sadly, this location fails on so many levels. The steak was so rare that it was barely even cooked, I mean it was bleeding still. When I said I didn't want it because its rarer than usual, they proceeded to be rude to me, and some guy who looks like he just got out of prison then proceeds to tell me that that's how it always is cooked by company policy. I'm sorry I am not an idiot, out of all the hundreds of chipotle i've been to all over the country, I think I know how it is supposed to be, Obviously they didn't feel like cooking it up to standards to rush and have it ready faster. When they did say they can have me some cooked more* I was very nice and was thankful.. however, after waiting 10 mins for them to make some better steak, they make me a burrito with the rarest meat they could find and then proceeded to be jerks about it when I complained yet again! I will never come back to this location EVER.. I can be starving and all that's open is this shitty location, id rather starve. I wish I would have taken a picture of the steak in their line.. It was nasty.

It's always a warm welcome here, and the people working are great! That being said though... I don't know about anyone else, but I am not a fan of a compartmentalized "Burrito"!! See, If I gave you a tour of my burrito it would go something like this: "Now, ladies and gentleman, to my left we have, the sour fountain of cream, and folks if you lean in and look a lot closer, you can see coins of corn buried below that. Now, If you turn your attention across the street to our right, you'll find a coop-full of slightly seasoned dry chicken bits...." need I say more? Instead of savoring mouthfuls of combined artisan flavor, I have to peck away at certain sections, in a particular order to even attempt jumpstarting my tastebuds. I might be crazy, but that's okay.

    (3)
  • Smit J.

I've been here a dozen times. No complaints. Chipotle is probably the only non-local food chain that doesn't disgust me. I've had everything on the menu. Best is to get a burrito with light rice. And guac and sour cream. Also one of the few Mexican Restaurants I've been to that doesn't make me sick.

  • Jessica M.

Hands down, this is my favorite Chipotle location. They are always pretty busy, so if you're taking it to go or don't want to wait in line, you should order online through their website. The food and customer service is always spot on! They don't hesitate to load up your burrito or bowl unlike other locations with less-than-perfect service (*cough* Happy Vally, Chipotle *cough*)! Always recommend it for a delicious meal. I love the veggie burrito/bowl with chips and guacamole.

  • Brent F.

Quick an healthy. Love that their menu lists their commitment to sustainable, organic, and integrity in their food. Nice to see someone doing socially conscious food in a quick & healthy way. Without a lot of pictures, combos, and flavored shakes on their menu. They know what they are about, and stick to their guns. I used to go to Chipotle when they were just a-single store start-up in Denver. Glad to see their success.

Many of my friends can agree that for a girl who lives in Hawaii (where there is no Chipotle) I'm a little obsessed with this place. I tasted my first Chipotle burrito when visiting a friend in Arizona where with no exaggeration I made her take me there 3-4 times during my week long stay. I also spent a few years in Eugene, OR where I found any reason I could to take my roommates on the two hour drive to Portland for my burrito fix. This one being right around the corner from Lloyd Center also made the trip well worth it =). Now, everytime I go out of state, Chipotle is always on my "to eat" list, and when I get there, I ALWAYS order one for now...and one for later. I almost always order a chicken burrito. Their burrito weighs a few pounds and is quite filling to say the least. Yet the taste is light and flavorful with their use of fresh organic products. Their guacamole and chips are an awesome add on to any meal. I love the idea of making a burrito (or any other menu item) like a Subway Sandwich with a little extra this but no that... Their meats are a little spicy so be careful if you order for young children. Their salsas also run on the spicier side so if you're there for the first time, start off with one step lower (my bf learned the hard way on that one). The atmosphere depending on location can be a little loud and crowded but I still think the food's worth it.

After taking some stuff to get altered at Lloyd Center I found my self starving just around lunch time. I usually go to a Vietnamese place on the corner but was really in the mood for Mexican. I had 2 options, Chipotle and the drive through mexican place that used to be a KFC. They have outdoor seating which is very scenic with all the cars passing and spewing exhaust in your face, so Chipotle it had to be. We went inside and the line up was HUGE. Everyone working the counter and kitchen were working quite efficiently and it only took 10 mins to get through the line up. I ordered a chicken burrito and a $3.75 Margarita, you know since it was sunny and all. When I got it I thought it was pretty big and I'd only need to eat half, turns out I scarfed the whole thing. I wouldn't really call it super Mexican or anything, but it was pretty good. You could tell the chicken didn't have a ton of salt and crap added to it. I was mainly stoked on my stiff $3.75 Margarita.

How can you go wrong with chipotle? It's always delicious, and it's cheap. Only complaints are that the parking lot is always full during lunch and dinner, and the line is always long.

    (3)
  • Eddie A.

DAMN, the line is crazy! I'm amazed at how quickly these dudes process everyone. This was my second chipotle experience and I have to admit I'm a definite fan. I'm sure there are better, more authentic Mexican options around but I'm not from here and I just want to eat burrito the size of a small child.

I've got to go with Brandon on this one. While three stars are not always for pussies, they are when reviewing Chipotle. You call this a burrito? You call this a salad? You call these tortilla chips? Yeah, I think not. I'll overlook the fact that Chipotle herds people instead of their cattle (have you ever been there during lunch time??!). But I won't overlook the fact that the McD Global Empire USED to have stock in good ol' 'Potle. At least they use free-range chickens. Or something. Oh, and can we say "spenday"?? Six bones for a bland and mediocre burrito (and where the hell is the actual chipotle??) and another four for chips and guac, if you are so adventurous. Ten bucks for lunch? At a fast-food joint? Eek!! I don't think so! The only things this place has goin' for it are the corn salsa and the bathrooms, which were surprisingly pretty clean.

I'm kinda sad that so many people don't like this place!! I think it's great!!! Sure, they could have a little more variety, but everything is sooo perfect all together!!! I live for their burrito bowls!! Their chicken has this great smoky kind of flavor and just slightly spicy so you can taste everything. I like to scoop some of my burrito "insides" up into chips to add a little crunchiness. If there was one place I had to eat every day for the rest of my life, this would be it. Regardless of who owns it or what type of food it is defined as, this place ROCKS! Also, if you bring kids here and they're pretty picky, they can make a pretty good quesedilla for them! OH! And if you're a student, flash your student ID card and you get a free pop!! :)

I love the Chipotle and their business model, so I feel okay about getting the barbacoa in all it's spicy goodness! Location wise it's pretty nice, although when it's busy they seem to rush through orders and burritos seem a tad smaller and sloppier. Also small parking lot can fill up at peak times, but meter spots are available. Outside eating area is on a main road, but still nice to sit at when it's sunny. I always gaze across the street at their mexican restaurant competitor and wonder, who goes there?

The staff was dead at best. Geez, how hard is to smile, or at least say thank you. The rice was old and crunchy so I ended up throwing away my burrito when I left. The guacamole is like $2.75 or something insane, more than my izze drink. The music was blaring and hurt my ears and blatantly made people feel uncomfortable. The only reason I am not giving a 1, is because the inside of the restaurant is actually quite beautiful...modern contemporary.

There's just something a little off with the beans. Slightly undercooked, but it ruins everything--so my advice is skip the black beans. Rice was sufficient and the chips are good with a little lime added to cut the salt.

I swear, i should have stock in this place.. Its sooooooooooooooo freakin addicting its so unbelievable.. I think its the sea salt they put on the chips and in the rice.. LOL

I'm addicted to Chipotle. I think there should be a Chipotle-annonymous. It's that good. Their guacamole is amazing.

Chipotle, the strength of this place is the consistency. It's always a clean and filling burrito. Definitely the burrito of choice for soccer moms and white suburban jocks. It would be higher on my list of burrito choices if it wasn't so damned expensive. I mean $11 bucks for a burrito, chips, and a drink? $1.65 for Guacamole? Yikes. They do have the best chips in town and the hot salsa is actually pretty damn hot, but it's more of a sauce than a salsa to me.

To start - when I lived in Denver I used to eat at the first Chipotle restaurant. I was thrilled when I found out they had finally expanded to Oregon a few years back. If I want fast food, this is my #1 choice for quality and offerings (love the guac!) That said, this location is my least favorite Chipotle due to sometimes not up to snuff quality of food and difficulty of finding clean seating. I know they're busy, and I still would go back if in the neighborhood and hungry, but prefer the Tanasbourne, Beaverton, PSU locations over this one (and in that order of preference). Those locations get 4 stars from me.

I eat here like 5 days a week. It tastes good and I swear to you that I am losing weight! My routine: go to the gym, get in a great workout, reward myself with Chipotle.

yes, it's a chain. YES i prefer more hole-in-the-wall places, BUT chipotle is really really good! the food always seem fresh, the meat always tender. i usually get the burrito bowl which is like a huge burrito, salad-style without the wrap. the rice has a nice lime-y touch to it. i like that it is fairly simple--no fuss. just a few key menu items. only thing is it's almost 2 bucks to add guac? yikes! oh and i just read that it's owned by mcdonalds? had no idea! regardless, try it before you knock it. theres no turning back. line is always long at the lloyd center location but it moves pretty fast.

Limited choices and $7 for a burrito that's low on flavor compared to its competition. I'll clip my circular coupons and get my fast food Americanized Mexican fix at Baja Fresh. You'll find me at the table closest to the free salsa bar!

Make fun of me all ya want, last night was my first Chipotle experience. And beings I'm still on my Taco Bell boycott, I think I've found an exclusive replacement for my mexican food fix. I had a steak burrito, which was very tasty. And the burrito stayed in tact while being taken out of the foil, so that was a pleasant surprise. The price is a very little bit over, but the big portions help erase that thought really quick.

I've only had their chicken salad with just salsa however its very good! If your looking for something fast and a bit on the healthier side I recommend.

Gotta love Chipotle, this review is not of this specific location but of Chipotles in general. They make a great burrito for a good price. Its not exactly "authentic" but it is pretty much awesome in every sense of the word... to bad I can never stop eating before I am so full it hurts

For fast food Mexican, I'd rather go here than Taco Bell. Great afternoon walk to get out of the office, quick, AND when you find the right combo you're hooked! The first time I was here I tried a burrito, nah...I can't open my mouth that wide. The second time I had a chicken salad, nah...too 'healthy' sounding. So I guess, the third time's a charm. Here's my combo: Burrito Bowl (which means no flour tortilla, just everything inside of it), rice w/cilantro, barbacoa for the protein, black beans, mild sauce, corn and lettuce (for the 'healthy'). This is what got me hooked. $5.85 Not under the $5 a day lunch budget but not too bad. Find a seat, if you can find one or take it with you and eat at your desk and smell like Mexican food for the rest of the day. The other cool thing is that you can order on the web, walk right up to the register, your meal is ready, avoid the line and off you go! chipotle.com/#flash/orde… I agree with Olive M. it is a 'love it' or 'hate it' kind of place. Half my coworkers are addicted to it, the other half could care less.

This is on my list of places to grab dinner when I have to work late (along with Du's Grill and Chaba Thai). If you make smart decisions the food is good for you (no arm sized burritos with sour cream and cheese if you're trying to eat a balanced meal). That said, my dad loves the burritos. The rest of my family enjoys the bowls. I've had both the barbacoa and chicken, I figure the chicken is healthier so I go with that more often, but the barbacoa is super yummy. I cannot speak to it's authenticity, but that's not the point here, for me. They claim to use hormone free meats and that makes me super happy. There are very few fast food options who care, at all, about what their customers are eating. My son scarfs down a side of rice and beans every time, and so that's a relief. We use the online ordering feature more often than not, but only once has the food actually been ready when I arrived. Either way it is better than standing in line, because they hustle to put your meal together as best they can between the line customers and I always make it out before the last person in line. Also, you can pay online, so you save a little time there. One of my favorite things here is the chips and guacamole, the chips are nice and salty and limey. Yum. We never eat here because I'm not into the ambiance, but it is clean. I have experienced the bathroom by necessity and it is also clean and decent looking. WAAAAAAY better than Taco Bell or any of the other fast food chains in the area.

Its kind of like the subway of Mexican. You stand in line, order off the big printed menu on the wall, then walk along the counter and tell them what you want in your burrito. Its kinda cool, cause ocassionally I can be picky. The portions are pretty big and the prices are fast foodish (maybe a little higher). Service is never very outgoing, but they will get you your burrito asap. I don't like it as much as some other mex joints cuase they don't serve margaritas.

This place was AWFUL when I went there. The meal was flavorless, the choices pretty bland, the atmosphere cold and sterile, the staff seemed all slack-jawed, uninterested and not wanting to be there. There are such great places out there for quick affordable mexican food. I'll definitely go to Taco Del Mar before I ever go back to a Chipotle.

After watching Food Inc I thought I'd never be able to eat at a chain restaurant again. Which made me sad, because I sometimes need the convenience. Dismayed, I went to Food Inc.'s website to learn more about the horrors of industrial food production. There, like a shining beacon of hope I see Chipotle's logo. Quoi? Yes. Chipotle is safe to eat. The beef is grass fed. Check yes! I don't mind spending a little more to know that my being is safe from G.M.Os, soy, and immoral actions against animals.

Fresh ingredients and flavorfull salsas, very good guac, high quality meats. One of the best fast food options in the area.

Better than average for fast food Mexican This is not a bad spot for a chain Mexican joint. It's a toss up between here and Baja Fresh as to which one is better, but I think I'll give this one extra points for letting you see your burrito being built. That means you can choose exactly what you want in it and less or more of something. I love Mexican food but seem to be pickier about it than I am with other foods, so it's kind of comforting for a lack of a better word to see exactly what's going in it. I always love salsa bars too and theirs has lots of variety. Tip: Portions are big, so hold back and keep some for lunch the next day.

Are you kidding? This was the blandest, most tasteless excuse for Mexican that I've ever had. There was freaking WHITE RICE in my burrito! Zero flavor. Gross! There's plenty of good taquerias in town, yet there was a line out the door at this place. I don't get it.

Chipotle is kind of a "love it" or "hate it" restaurant. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. No, it's not traditional mexican food, but they're really not trying to be. Chipotle is "fresh mex" more along the lines of Baja Fresh or Qdoba.

Chipotle sucks, and not just because it's owned by McDonalds. The food just sucks. I'm not across the board against "white" Mexican food, being from so-cal, I've had the real thing, and it's not the heavenly experience people seem to imagine. Chipotle is just plain bland though, and frankly my dear, you can do so much better.

I had the misfortune of working here under the new management for a few months before I got the F*&% out! WORST JOB I'VE EVER HAD. The managers harassed us and as many times as we complained to HR, they're still there. I couldn't even finish my two weeks notice because I was sick & called out one day. Monica kept calling me & told me there was no one to cover my shift and I had to go in. I told her it was against Oregon law & I was so fed up by that point. The week before she made me work 8 hours, closing at 11:45, & then come in at 8 for a 13 hour shift the next day! & no one said Thanks or anything. Employees are scheduled off at 11:15 but when I asked to leave at 11:20 (b/c I'd finished the duties in my section) Monica said "no." When I replied that I had to be back at 8 a.m. she said "so do I." Not only is that a pathetic retort, but she also worked 5-6 hours less than I did the next day. one girl is currently being threatened that if she keeps leaving at 11:20 (5 min after her shift is over), they will fire her. This store is the busiest in the Portland area & once Monica was pestering a girl for drinking water while on the clock- "Are you on your break? Are YOU on your break? You can only drink water on your ten." This lady is the worst manager I've ever had. She is the devil with a ponytail. & the other manager Maviela- I felt more harassed by her than at my first job when a male manager un-did my bra through my shirt. She would say "You're a b_____ I hate you." If you wouldn't stay past your shift ending. When I got another piercing she said "you're a f___ crazy b____." She would grab our sides & say "What's this?" (pertaining to any skin on your body). She put stuff in people's drinks and thought it was funny when they drank it. One time she was picking on a co-worker and when he wasn't near she said "I just love drama. I don't know why. I just love getting in fights." Her & Doug, the "apprentice" wrote a girl up when she refused to check the men's restroom During hours. She had told them multiple times she wasn't comfortable doing & they kept asking. So when she finally said, "no" without further elaboration, they wrote her up for talking to a manager "that way." Doug's always on his phone, doesn't have to wear a hat, tuck in his shirt, wear an apron or clean Shit! But he'll write someone else up in a heartbeat for any of that. Maviela also harassed a co-worker to add her on facebook, and when the co-worker finally did accept the friends request, Maviela downloaded the girl's photos TO HER PHONE and made fun of her to HER FACE. On another occasion Maviela complimented a girl's new hair-cut & then turned to the (facebook) girl and said "when are you gonna do something nice with your hair?" Dude I'm pissed & no one is listening to us. I don't even work there anymore but I can't get over it. It doesn't matter that HR transferred almost everyone who complained out of there, the fact is, these managers still work within the company. WTF. I can't wrap my mind around it. This is f*ing fast food... chill out!!!!!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
