I've been here a few times and it's always pretty average. Breakfast food mostly. I would recommend coming earlier than you think you should cause there's usually a wait to get seated or for your food. Employee's aren't the friendliest but nothing horrible.

The food is okay. I will say the crunchy French toast is good. The reason for my low rating is that the restaurant was absolutely filthy. The floors were sticky and covered in dirt and scraps of paper and garbage. I was there on a weekday around 11. They had 4 tables outside, one of which was occupied. The other 3 were empty but hadn't been bussed. We requested a table outside and had to wait for one to be bussed. When we sat down it was still dirty and had crumbs of food on it. Hadn't even been wiped down. They didn't bother to bus the table right next to us until another person wanted to sit there about 20 minutes later. We had to eat our meal while looking at the stacks of dirty dishes in the other table, which attracted a ton of bees. I would prefer to go to elmers or IHOP down the road. The food is comparable and the others are much cleaner. The upside to biscuits is the outdoor seating option.

The food was fine but it was breakfast. How hard is it to make breakfast? Not very... So why is this place so expensive? We went once and likely won't go again.

We have hit other locations and we are glad this one is nearby. Not to mention they seem to have more seating. Which is a good thing. It is always nice and clean here. We are always greeted quickly and sat within reasonable amount of time. The Breakfast offerings are very good. I have to give props to any place that puts a Monte Cristo down on the menu. I havent tried the one hear, but i have heard good things. They have some simple lunch fare here as well. My daughter tends to prefer lunch to breakfast, so its good to have the option. The Hot chocolate my kids ordered was tasty, not to mention LARGE lol. My son inhaled his chocolate chip pancakes. My daughter enjoyed her egg and hashbrowns which is rare for her. All in all the few things we have tried here and at other locations have been good. I can only say if you hit them in a rush, be prepared to wait. But i think good food is always worth a little wait. About the only negative thing i would say is they seem to be a bit spendy. Honestly we went to a old chicago the day before, got 2 kids menu items, and 3 apps for us all t share, several drinks, and spent $3 less. It may not sound like much, but when you figure this was just breakfast, for 2 adults, and 2 kids, i think its a little off if i spend more on breakfast than i do for a dinner with leftovers. Keeping in mind, i like it here, and i keep coming back. So that should say something right? =)

My wife and I went to breakfast on a moderately busy Sunday morning. After a short 15 minute wait we were seated and had our drink orders taken. We received our drinks 5 minutes later ( a bit of a wait for drinks), then sat around for another 10 or so minutes for the waitress to take our orders. After our order was placed we waited 60 minutes(!!!) for our food, at which point I went to flag the waitress down. When she saw me she literally did a 180 and ran away. I sat down befuddled and waited a minute before she came back and asked us what we ordered. It turns out she completely forgot to place our order with the kitchen. We ended up walking out an hour and a half after arriving without ever getting a bite to eat. This place needs a major management change.

Good food. Bad service. It's slow. It takes a while to get a seat. Then it takes a while to get service. Don't go there super hungry as you will be waiting for a long time before you even place your order. Nice servers. Slow service. The food is good but not great.

I love breakfast, especially biscuits and gravy. With a name like Biscuits, you'd think they have the best. I wasn't let down by the order, but I wanted something more. The gravy tasted like French onion soup, it was strange. The apple walnut French toast was amazing. So tasteful and fluffy. You do have to get there early before the crowd gets in, and expect about $12 per person.

NOT GOOD: This place has gone downhill badly; the "smoked brisket" dip tastes like it was slathered with fake smoke flavor from a bottle. The hashbrowns were soggy;the so-called Mexican selections are a joke. DON'T EAT HERE - a waste of time and money.

I actually really like this place. As everyone knows, all of the really great breakfast joints are in Portland, not in the suburbs. But this is a heck of a lot better than going to a national chain breakfast (although this is a local chain). I like both breakfast and lunch here... they have actual hash browns that they serve CRISPY, which I think is hard to find. You often get mushy hash browns. I like the biscuits and I like their freezer jam. They serve margarine with their biscuits though, which grosses me out. The omelettes are good - plenty cheesey and lots of toppings. Service is just average. I don't recall it ever being particularity horrible or particularly amazing. But the kitchen is generally pretty fast so it doesn't take too long to eat here. It definitely gets crowded by 10 or 11, but no line at all if you go early on the weekends. Parking is a breeze (do I even need to mention parking in a review for a place in the suburbs?). Tip: join the rewards program! They give you $5 off for birthdays, anniversaries, and just randomly throughout the year they seem to send out $5 rewards. Plus if you spend X number of dollars you get a $5 reward that way also (I can't remember what X is).

Went in there yesterday with my daughter. First, we get seated, then sat there for about 10 minutes until someone came up. Rather then offering us beverages, they just asked what we wanted to order. I ordered a Reuban with fries. She took the order, then about 15min later the food came; with our drinks finally. The rueban was probably the worse I've ever eaten. I ate about 1/4 of it and then quit. The Corned Beef was chewy, gummy and very bright which makes me think it wasn't cooked all the way. I pulled it out and noticed that the fat was lined straight at the end, with the meat as well. It looked processed. It was horrible. I put the plate with almost all of the sandwich on the end of the table. Not that it mattered because nobody even walked by and inquired on how we were doing, or how the meal was. Finally, after my beverage was finished I grabbed my daughter and we went up to the front to pay. The lady didn't even asked how the food was. I was planning on telling her but she just said $22.49 please. After I paid, she popped the receipt in the register and then walked off without a word. Horrible. Will never frequent this place again.

They have a pretty good breakfast and the bacon is good, thick and juicy! All the food is good. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, hash browns, omelettes, etc. Very tasty and reasonably priced. The only bad thing is that they close at 2:30 pm and also the staff and service can be a bit slow. They also serve lunch which is good because my husband is not always in the mood for breakfast so he can get lunch instead. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!

I felt that Biscuits Cafe was an excellent cafe with a hometown suburban feel. The biscuits, jam and butter were absolutely delightful! The service was great and attentive. There is only one complaint I had though. The cheese was not evenly distributed through the omelette I had. Other than that, it was all perfect.

The food is always great at Biscuits Cafe and my day is always brighter when Alyssa is our waitress! She is not only attentive but has excellent recommendations.

We thought we'd try it again. We had an hour for breakfast on our way to Cinetopia, so we hopped in here for breakfast. Then we stood in a line for ten minutes watching the host at the register babbling about somethingorother with a customer who was paying his bill. There were two guys ahead of us, and several empty tables. An older man came in behind us and cruised by us to ask to be seated.. huh? Apparently, only certain people are allowed to seat people, so we had to wait for a purple shirted server... we flagged down a young kid in a red shirt but he was wiping off tables, etc. and although he tried to help us, that wasnt his job. Sigh. Biscuits menu has changed a little since we were here last, I think it's less complicated. The food, for the most part, was better. We got a table, ad ordered as quickly as we could. Kid didn't like the kid's menu ($3.99) so I let her choose from the mix and match three for $7.49. She chose buttermilk pancakes, sourdough toast, sausage patties, and chocolate milk. ($2.49). Sh really didn't make much of a dent in the pancakes but ate the rest plus half her dad's bacon. We know better than to order coffee. Husband had juice, BIL and I had water. Husband had Belgian waffle combo with bacon (crispy not burnt) and scrambled eggs. He said everything was fine. I had two poached eggs (When she asked me soft, medium or hard? I ordered them soft and they were perfect), wheat toast, and turkey bacon, all fine. It came with some strawberry jam, that was yummy. BIL ordered the turkey vegetable scramble ( $9 and change) which I wish I'd heard him order or I would have told him not to. It comes with turkey deli meat, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes... it's always watery. His was watery today. He said his potatoes and rye toast were good. The scramble made him sad. Not every place does veggie scrambles well. Poor BIL. So, it was better than our last visit, heartening, but still not our favorite. Still a 2.5... BTW, we got our coffee at Cinetopia. They have espresso. Not great espresso, but not bad.

I can't really rate the food, we left before they took out order. The water was nice and cold! We went in, got seated. Waited. Waited. Waited. Both my daughters finished coloring the pictures on the menu. We waited.. The people behind us in line ordered their food. The next people behind us were ordering. We left.

I have been to Biscuits a number of times. They have good food and the best rewards program I have seen in a restaurant. I like all of their food I have tried, and the coffee too. I liked every visit I have had there. However I recently went there for the first time on a Sunday and was, surprisingly, disappointed. it was crowded, which I dont mind but the staff was inefficient. People in line were commenting too. I saw several issues. At one point there was a huge line and 5 open tables, just sitting there. They have it appears 2 busboys but they do not bring a container to the table when they bus the dishes, so it takes more than one trip. There seems to be a lot of staff, but its not organized enough. One person was on the list but was passed over, and got quite unhappy. The person seating people might be new but she needs more training - at one point, she was calling out the name of the next person to be seated and she walked over to the line of people, waiting to pay - and faced them and called out the name. Now that was rather odd. I dont mind waiting in a restaurant for my food, especially if they fill the coffee first. I am not in a hurry in that sense. But when you are in the line and seeing issues, its not good. Final point: the list to be seated is at the register but several people coming in did not now if it was just a line to be seated, or you leave your name - there should be a sign by the door right as you come in. In many restaurants it is more obvious as the list is at a hostess table closer to the door; with Biscuits, its a nice long area for the line to form so it just looks like a line with no written waiting list. I would have sent this in private email to them but their website has on email address. Then I tried their Facebook page, and that too had no private message option. Its not good when a restaurant does not seek feedback and make it easy. Signed, Disappointed in Beaverton

I don't know where to start. I hate leaving one star reviews, so I'm giving two because the biscuits and jam were delicious. The beginning: we wait 40 minutes from the time we enter to get our food. It's breakfast food. It takes 2 minutes to scramble up an omelet. Come on. -We only got checked on once. Our waitress was no where to be found whenever we looked for her. -Since they didnt have time to even check on any guests, you can imagine how the bathroom looked. Like a gas station one. -Guy comes over. "Would you like more water?" "Sure." He starts filling up my cup and halfway through he pours a little (accidentally?) into my plate. Doesn't say anything. Stops filling up my cup. Leaves. We all looked at each other at that point like, what the hell just happened? I swear we were in a twilight zone. -We see the names "Ed and Barbara" on everything, including menu and wall, so we assume they're the owners. I ask the girl as we go up to the cashier, "Where are Ed and Barbara?" Her: "Nowhere." ... then, "I dont know who that is." Then her manager overhears her and she tells me she'll be fired for saying that. Good lord. Would never recommend this place under threat of alien water torture.

Two stars directly for the lunch experience at this specific location. 'Stopped in for lunch today after a quick stop for groceries next door. I ordered what seemed a gourmet mac and cheese with sausage. The mac was barely equal to what comes in a Kraft box (uncheesey / bland), but the sausage was pretty good. The server was inattentive and failed to provide an iced tea refill over 30 minutes. I have a feeling the joint focuses more on breakfast service as I have had breakfast at a different Biscuits location and have been pretty damn happy. I recommend the breakfast menu items but you must not expect a sort of superior service.

The food and prices are ok. I quit going to biscuits a few months ago because of the service. The waitress seemed irritated by our being at the restaurant. She was dismissive and passive aggressive. She did get very nice when dropping off the check. In fact, she was a totally different person. There was little doubt she knew she was being a butt and still wanted the tip. The check also has amounts of the tip figured out on it starting at 15% which I see once in awhile but makes it look like you have three choices. I went a few times and was irritated each time.

This is your typical chain restaurant, nothing special, just a good location to keep it from going out of business. I stop eating there when I saw the bus person using the same dirty towel to wipe off the table tops and seats with the same old dirty towel, I am concern about their sanitation.

Located on a convenient corner of Bethany's strip mall these guys are worth stopping for. I love the Avocado and Eggs Benedict here. Talk about comfort food! The managers are awesome people. And the waitresses, they're all about business! So sit down, shut up, and enjoy your food!

I have loved this place and for most part the service has been great, but then I discovered they use ketchup with HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP and when I mention the coffee smelled like it had been on the burner too long she told me had been made a hour ago- wow so fresh- not.

I think it's hard to make a mediocre breakfast, but Biscuits Cafe perfected that today. Plus it's a bit pricey. I have no future plans to return especially because this city has so many really good breakfast spots.

Food is ok.... Nothing special. A bit overpriced for it's quality but whatever- it's Bethany haha. I would recommend the almond French toast! My absolute favorite!

Got berry waffles and a $4 side of sausage patties. Sean got corn beef and hash and 15 minute wait for his toast. Waitress was by herself so service was slow.coffee was pretty awful. No amount if sugar could save it. We are not coming back.

I always want to like Biscuits more that I actually do like it. I always have high hopes, that the food is going to be great, but I usually seem to walk away a bit disappointed. There is always a lot of food, and I almost wish they would charge a bit less and give us a bit less. The coffee is good, and we had good service, so maybe if the food was better I would go there more often. It is about the closest restaurant to my house, but it is not one that I think of very often for lunch. I don't usually go out for breakfast, so I think of it more for lunch.

Biscuits have been popping up all over Portland. This Bethany location is one of the newest members of the Biscuits Café family of restaurants. Whoever decided to open up a breakfast café in the Bethany area was brilliant. Bethany is rapidly growing. Lots of young families and retirement living nearby. Very few restaurant choices for breakfast. The interior of Bethany's Biscuits Café is artfully decorated and comfortable. You feel like you are entering someone's beautifully decorated kitchen. Service is friendly and attentive but slow. We arrived on a Saturday morning. On our visit it seemed that both the kitchen and the wait staff were overwhelmed by the volume of business. The menu is fantastic. All of the traditional American breakfasts are offered: scrambles, waffles, pancakes, cereals, eggs any style, etc. The proportions are large but not ridiculously gigantic. The prices are reasonable. Most entrees are below $10. Even steak and eggs will set you back only about $10.99. On our visit we sampled the Belgian waffles with berries and the bacon Belgian waffles. The former was covered with a generous helping of fresh strawberries and the latter had diced bacon cooked right into the waffle batter. Both waffles were absolutely delicious. Biscuits Café also offers a lunch menu and an excellent children's menu. Biscuits Café. A really nice restaurant in a really good location.

Basically, WHEN we got our food, it was pretty tasty. My red potatoes were cooked, my omelet just fine. DH had the country omelet which came with an excellent gravy...I wish I could duplicate it. Biggest complaint, the amount of time we had to wait for our order to be taken, then the amount of time we had to wait to get it. Thankfully we had plenty of time, otherwise this could be an issue. We've had lunch there, and the wait wasn't as much of an issue. Our server could be a tad bit more attentive.

Biscuits opened a new location in Bethany in the old Godfathers Pizza location. Glad the are here now. They are so close to the house. The food and service always great at each location.

We just found this place even though we live within walking distance. We love our breakfasts. My boyfriend loves a large amount and I love booths and near the house. This met both of our desires. Incredibly large sized plates. Seriously the best biscuits I've ever had in a restaurant! The only drawback which isn't anyone's fault, is they are so popular there is a wait to be seated about 15 minutes when we got there. Plus it took a bit to get the food. So I would say don't go here if you're in a hurry, BUT if you are patient and want a good breakfast DEFINITELY the place to go. Well be returning every weekend we go out!

Don't go here expecting a small breakfast. You can get one, but their specialty is great breakfasts in large portions. I often skip lunch after eating here. It has great quality food that tastes awesome

Just visited this morning for the second time. The first time the service was average and the food was good. This time we were promtly seated but then waited 15 minutes before deciding the waitress was too busy being social to take our order. So I paid $2.45 for the half a cup of coffee I had consumed and left. Wont go back which is a shame since its the only breakfast place in my neighborhood.

Not impressed. You'd think a place called Biscuits would have, well, really awesome biscuits. They were obviously pre-frozen hexagonal shaped breadish pieces. Meh! The food seems very...mass produced/processed. Which is fine, unless you are advertising your food as "fresh." When we went, they got the kids some crayons and menus quickly. But they forgot about the adult menus. They forgot some items when we got our food. The service is definitely just so-so. More of a greasy spoon rather than a fresh foodie place. I like greasy spoons, but I also like to know when I'm walking in, rather than when I'm walking out.

Don't go here on Sunday morning. Servers waited on 4 others tables who were seated after us. When I mentioned it to servers, she complained she had 6 other tables to wait on. Wrong answer in my opinion as she should have been apologetic first. Food not near as good as during the week!!!!

I like Biscuit's. It has great food. Service is friendly. But, I'm knocking it down due to the fact that the heating system, if there is one in that restaurant, doesn't work. It was about 28 degrees outside and about that inside. I'm exaggerating, but it was really cold, as witnessed by the customers all in their coats and sweaters. I commented to the waitress, and she said that the heating system doesn't work all that well. Get it working! I won't be going back while it's still cold out, which around here is pretty much the next four or five months.

I've been a Biscuits Cafe fan for years and have been going to the Miller Road location. I've gone to the Bethany location 3 times now within the last 2 months and the food has been HORRIBLE and tasteless. The first time my food was cold and the coffee was luke warm and tasted like brown water. The second time I ordered the Avocado Benedict without hollandaise. The server came out and told me the cook made it with the hollandaise and did I still want it. I said no. I finally got my order and the english muffin tasted how rancid butter smells. Or to be more specific it smelled like a dirty grill and the muffin shouldn't be close to a grill. It was clearly stale or had been next to something that was bad. I sent it back and got another. The taste from the first muffin ruined my meal and I feared I would get sick. The third and LAST time was this past weekend. I ordered the scramble and not only was it was luke warm but it was so overloaded with large chunks of onions that I wondered where the egg whites were. It tasted horrid. The quality of food has gone downhill and I'm not sure if it's just the Bethany location or not. Regardless I will no longer give my hard earned money to this restaurant. I've given Biscuits 3 times now to figure it out and I continue to be disappointed. There are WAY too many amazingly great restaurants in Portland to enjoy a great Sunday breakfast.
