Melissa G, you're review was very similar to our experience. You were the lucky one that didn't end up getting food poisoning. We went in for a late breakfast, around 11am. My fiance ordered the same shrimp omelet your bf got. It came out with a surprisingly strong seafood smell to it. It smelled very, very strongly of bad shrimp/bad fish (strong seafood aroma) We made mention of it to our server and she said they're shrimp was fresh, and all their food was made fresh daily. Well after 5 or so bites, my fiance had enough of the overly fishy aroma She took the rest home with her, and ended up throwing the rest away at work that night , because the shrimp tasted so bad. Well that night, at her work and at home, she got sick. Pretty damn sick indeed. All the tell tale signs of food poisoning were there, trust me... All the while, we knew who the culprit was. We contacted the owner the next day and told her of our situation. She repeated the same fresh line the server had told us, "our food is made fresh daily and we've never had a problem with a customer getting food poisoning before." Okay, so either we're lying, or this is her first food poisoning incident (which it was). She continues, "I'm very busy right now, I can comp your meal, otherwise I have to go because I'm busy." Well obviously we took the 2nd option with an attitude like that. This was literally like our 14th or 15th time eating at this Biscuits, and we had never had problems before; but this incident was enough to make us go elsewhere. Unfortunately for this place, the owner is too overwhelmed to care about her customers, especially repeats. And they do not us fresh ingredients! Go somewhere else people!

Chicken and waffles were very yummy. My loves fajita omelet was also very good. He did say that the red potatoes would be better if they were crunchy, I on the other hand liked them the way they were.

Went for brunch one morning. Food was decent, nothing special though. Prices are about what I would've expected. Our server was a little aloof. I may go back sometime, though it wouldn't kill me if I passed.

Love getting our breakfast to-go from here. Good portions, great food & no wait. Agree with other posters that waitstaff can be a bit unfriendly at times. That's one reason we get it to-go & big reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Excellent food and service. Recently my favorite item was removed from the menu, I was disappointed to say the least. Our server informed me they could still make my favorite dish for me. Thank you for the yummy grilled cheese.

The breakfast never disappoints in my experience, the service however is not always spot on. I can only give three stars because of substandard service we received on our most recent visit. We sat at our table for about 15 minutes before Heather, our server, took our drink order. After another 15 minutes our drinks arrived, before Heather could walk away I managed to stop her and let her know we were ready to order our breakfast. The food came out pretty quick and was delicious as always, but as things go our drinks were depleted. We were not checked on once. We were thirsty and needed refills, my 5yo had finished all his juice and just wanted dome water. I didn't even see her walk by to get her attention. When we were done Heather dropped off our bill as she walked by without evrn stopping. I had. To get up and track down a to-go box for my son's food. Even though our breakfast was yummy the service sucked, but we'll return again anyway someday and hopefully have a more pleasant experience. At that point I can amend my rating.

I was apprehensive! It looks like it could be a greasy spoon, run of the mill place but it's not. I work above this place but have only had a few chances to check it out. I ordered sort of a little kid meal both times: a chocolate chip pancake, hash browns, and fruit. The food came out in like 3 minutes and was surprisingly well-prepared. My friends had the benedict with avocado and the California club sandwich. They give you a lot of food, so leftovers are pretty much expected. The servers are really friendly and attentive. It is obvious there are lots of regulars and that's a good sign since there aren't too many great places to eat in that area.

Quick and delicious!! I always gotta force myself to try something new.. Chicken fried chicken is a good try if you're tired of the old Chicken fried steak. The chocolate chip pancakes give the right amount of sweetness to pancake lovers. And how can you not want the crispy hashbrowns?!?!

Not to bad food was good portions were great and service was ok but I would not go out of my way to go here. I would say 3.5 stars.

Oh my gosh this place is heavenly. Eggs benedict with fresh sliced avocado and tomato = bliss. Quality of food, quality of service, cleanliness, price & quantity of food were all excellent. This is my new favorite breakfast place in the Portland area.

I'm really not a fan of the chain but it was late and I really wanted breakfast and our normal place closed at 2pm. So we go there. I get the Southern Delight with red potatoes. The potatoes were warm and squishy there was noyhing crispy about them. The eggs were extremely over cooked and crispy and everything was just bland. I tryed to tell our server but I never seen her again until she dropped off our check as she walked by. When I went to pay for it the girl at the cash register she asked me how the food was she just looked at me and took my card and asked if I told the server about my food. I told her I never got the chance I never seen her after she droped off our food. This is the second location I have been to and the food and service are awful no matter where you go. Save your money stay away!

We came here a couple months ago in search for our new, close-to-home breakfast spot. I ordered an eggs florentine, BF ordered a shrimp omelet with avocado. Mine came out with a handful of cold spinach leaves, cold, waxy slices of tomato, and stale, cold English muffins. What the?! I just stared at it for a while but still ate it in disbelief since I was so hungry. BF's omelet had a heaping scoop of plain bay shrimp dumped all on one side, and a half of an avocado literally scooped out whole on the other side. We LOVE avocados, but dang, he was mad. Really, they couldn't spread it out just a bit? And it smelled really, really shrimpy. I wondered if the cook had to take a major dump and just threw everything on our plates before the a pants explosion happened. Then recently, I found out that they are a franchised-chain (so maybe there's a good egg out there) and their motto is "we don't serve fast food, we serve fresh food as fast as we can!" I usually have something to say when we get a meal that makes me wish I just stayed home and cooked myself, but the servers seemed useless, whiney and stressed enough about their love lives and coworkers, as we sat there and got a loud verbal display of their very sad lives. Unimpressed and left feeling a little angry.

Worst service ever. I would not know what the food taste like because after being sat at a table no one ever came to even greet me. I waited 15 min and after I saw tables getting served that walked in after me, I decided they obviously don't care for my business so I left. They were not even very busy at all.

The Biscuits Cafe here on Mt. Scott off of Johnson Creek Blvd has consistently good customer service and delicious food.

Large portions, hot and served quickly! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Go to this place at least once on each of our visits to Oregon.

I have been coming to this place for about a year now. I used to visit the one that was located on Sandy until they relocated to Gresham. This is now a franchise and I have to say, they have the BEST eggs benedict! I eat eggs benedict at other restaurants but none compare to the delicious creamy eggs benny served at Biscuits. The service there is top notch as well. Servers are friendly, check back during your meal to be sure everything is satisfactory and overall are a welcome distraction over the somewhat surly servers you may find in such a foodie town as Portland I think Biscuits is great - it's one of my favorite places to eat breakfast.

Score! Can't believe this place has been right around the corner from me for six months and I only just tried it. However, the secret is out in the neighborhood. Biscuits was packed for breakfast on a Saturday morning, with some obvious Biscuits die-hards. We were greeted and seated immediately, and given coffee and water with a quickness. The menu had all the things you'd want to eat for breakfast, eggs and potatoes of all styles, pancakes, steak n eggs, several types of benedicts, and of course BISCUITS! I went for the eggs florentine and it was basically perfect. Layers and layers of fresh tender spinach was complimented by the perfect poached eggs (and I do mean PERFECTLY poached, with the creamy yolk center that isn't too runny) and flavorful hollandaise sauce. The hashbrowns were better than french fries. The service is great, and super speedy. The location is a bit off the beaten path, and in a 'corporate park' type of area, but the cafe is definitely cuter than you'd think. Grab a bite on your way out to Clackamas town center.

Cold pancakes, the potatoes had way too many onion chunks for my liking and my "over medium" eggs were runny. The service was slow as well. Overall I wasn't happy with my experience and won't be returning.

We had breakfast yet again at Biscuits. Roll me home! The service was better than our previous visit. The food is home cooking at is best with fresh ingredients. The avocado was fresh on a perfect omelet. The pancakes were right off the grill and cooked perfectly. The food was hot and the service excellent. We will return.

This place would be a five if they served Bloody Mary's (even just on weekends). Food is great, service is good, and just and overall nice breakfast. Price is OK. Go and have the biscuits and gravy.

We were on our way out of Portland on 205 (Sept 21st) and couldn't find anything open that wasn't fast food til we saw the Biscuit Cafe. Clean, friendly, great prices and food selection, quick service and large portions (my wife and I tend to split a meal during the daytime. Since we were traveling it was a good surprise that we were able to hookup our tablet to their WiFi for travel plans.

The food and service is always awesome. All of the food is fresh and homemade. Everything on the menu is great, but the pumpkin pancakes offered in October and November are the best.

Terrible, terrible customer service! My family and I decided to try out this restaurant after finding it online and discovering it is less than a 5 minute drive from our home. We will never ever ever go back. We entered the restaurant and gave our name. It was a beautiful day and we were pleased to see many tables available including 3 tables outside. Well, we sat and waited and waited and waited. We waited for 20 minutes, giving us plenty of time to count the number of empty tables that were available. Eight tables, yup eight. Then two groups of people who came in after were seated before us. We asked the hostess why, very frustrated now that not one but two groups of people had been seated. Her response was, "We have to seat them first." Huh? Proper response "would be sorry about that, we will seat you right away" or similar. Nope, not at biscuits cafe. After 20 minutes of sitting in a restaurant with many empty tables that was NOT understaffed we ended up leaving without any breakfast. We go out to eat probably four times a week and would likely have returned again and again but now we will never ever go there again and would deter anyone else from going as well.

Not one of the best dining experiences I've had. When we visited Biscuits, we were excited about the location, as it's hard to find good breakfast places out near Mt. Scott. From my experience, it's still hard to find a good breakfast place near Mt. Scott. The service was spotty on the day we visited. Our orders, while correct, came to the table lukewarm. The coffee was not great. Since this may have been an off-day, I will make it a point to go back and give them another chance.
