For Portland, it's one if the few places that has decent hookahs. They use coconut coals and have a variety of tobaccos like Starbuzz, however they do not have fumari, which is a higher quality, but that's alright. The price is decent.. 15 bucks.. So overall the product they serve is great I only give it 4 stars because there is no air ventilation so the place is a bit smoggy.. And the interior design needs to be significant upgraded. I've been to a number of hookah lounges in Los Angeles and Las Vegas... And it's by far the worst interior design.... Since they kept all the old restaurant dining tables and booths... It's kinda is an old grungy... But I guess that is expected for this part of the country. I would strongly advise gutting the place out and putting in Mediterranean decor and/or sofas and decent chairs so it's an inviting and comfortable environment... I am sure the owners feel the same but needs more business coming on in to warrant such a expensive renovation. But since the completion in this side of town seems to be non-existent, I still recommend coming here for a quick smoke and a decent hang out spot with friends. I'd bring some cards with you because unlike other hookah lounges I've been too... There isn't much to do besides socialize... there is no dancing, no live bands, and no Xbox.. And no food (not that I have seen anyway). If they step it up just a little with the interior at least, I see this place being the goto spot all the time

I've been to a dozen hookah lounges across Portland, and Beirut disappoints me every time I venture there. Staff is hit or miss. Several inexperienced hookah tenders and management can be rude and/or surly to customers. Lounge is also dirty and ill maintained. Don't think I'll be back in a while.

Kicking customers out within minutes of paying and sitting down isn't a great business practice. Took our hookah away and made us leave for no feasible reason. Don't waste your time. If i could leave no stars, i would. The bathrooms were disgusting...

This place is okay, nice location. Definitely needs some interior upgrades, would agree with most that the place is smoggy but most hookah bars are slightly less smoggy than here. Service is okay, sometimes it's good if the right person with the right attitude is working though. :) Love the shisha and the attention given when it comes to replacing coals most of the time too.

So I went for my birthday and one thing i noticed that they did, that other places don't do, is pay right off the bat. and let me tell you, if you want a tip for service, i will never pre-tip for a service i haven't received yet. Which leads me to believe that you will only get good service if you tip them on the spot. The place smelled kind of bad, and yes, i know its a hookah bar, but I've been to 10+ hookah bars over the years, and this place just had a general stench to it. either it just smelled bad, or it smelled like the smoke seeped into everything and just makes everything smell. They did not give us new coals, or ask us if we needed anything at all the only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because they have one thing that I've never seen at a hookah bar that was pretty amazing, however more expensive ($5) than it should have been: a ice tube. usually hookah bars will charge you to put ice in the hookah, but this place had a tube that was frozen with ice packs in it. however, it only lasted for about 30 mins before it melted.

I'm from Washington D.C. area.I was visiting family in Beaverton. Saw the reviews, me and my brother in-law decided to try it since I'm a huge shisha smoker. Since we are Arabs and it run thru our blood. We got to this place the shisha SUCKS. It was so bad that I got sick. This was on there very slow day. I even tried Habebi in Tigard. The shisha was a little better but the environment suck. I be back in Portland next week and this time I'm bringing one of mine. If you want it done right you make it yourself.

Good and easy location. Friendly and helpful staff. If you want a quite night close to home this is an easy place to get to and it is well priced. It is a good idea to bring a deck or cards or boardgame so you can enjoy the hookah for a longer time. I went with just one other person but next time I would bring more cause I felt it was a bit of a waste as we both didn't have very much.

Beirut's shisha selection is amazing, but the music has been pretty loud the few times I've been there. At least when I was there, the staff were very nice, though maybe a little distant.

I have written a horrible review to this place and for some reason it was deleted! Why is this allowed? The employees at beirut are very rude. I had such a bad experience that my friend ended up leaving in tears. When I contacted the owner about it, I was told that I must be mistaken! Garbage!

From all the hookah lounges that still are out there I would say this is the best one to go to. Must be 18+
