    This Betty Boop themed diner is right by my apartment and there's not much else within walking distance so I have been quite a few times. Every time I go I am happy with my food and the service is friendly. I always have the same waitress and she can be slow at times but she is the only waitress serving the entire restaurant so it's to be expected. I have tried a couple of menu items and am always happy. The chicken fried steak is my favorite and they have excellent salads. It is all diner and breakfast food so don't be expecting anything fancy but it's nearby and cheap so I will continue to go and recommend it to anyone that enjoys diner food (or Betty Boop).

    I lived in the neighborhood. This place has the worst food. I ordered a french dip sandwich and the meat inside had water on it, as if it had been warmed up in water. The hoagie roll had the texture and taste of a hot dog bun. The au jus was luke warm and without flavor. The french fries were obviously frozen and bland. Yeah, this place sucks. Let the old farts have it.

    Came here for lunch on Wednesday with a friend. The place was moderately busy, but we were able to get a table. Upon sitting, the waitress brought waters, and menus. They have standard fare here for a diner, sandwiches, burgers, and the like. We were too late for their breakfast's. I opted for the grilled ham and cheese while my companion got the Beez's Burger. Both were good and filling. I ordered Iced Tea and it tasted more like 'ice' than 'tea'. If you are in SE and need a quick place for eats, this should be on your radar. Price point was what you would expect for a diner.

    This place is quite close to my house and I was hoping for something a bit better. It's basically a diner open for breakfast and lunch. It has a pleasant interior with plenty of parking. The burger I had was pretty much all bun with one of those pre made frozen flat patties that come with the waxed paper in between them. Bland, over cooked, dry. Mushrooms tasted possibly microwaved. String fries like the ones you get frozen at the supermarket. Bun not toasted. Everything just the bare minimum effort to make. My wife had a scramble that she liked though, so maybe eggs are their strong point. I wouldn't recommend a burger though.

    Really cute interior. Felt very nice, great natural light, high and open ceilings. I went early for a Saturday (around 9) with my sweetheart. They got the breakfast burrito, I got eggs, french toast, bacon, etc. They bring out enough softened butter to slather it all over the french toast several times over; my kind of place! The food was fine but portions aren't as big as I expected for price. That comment is more geared towards the breakfast burrito. Overall, I like it, and would be happy to go back again for breakfast.

    Went to Beez after recommended by a friend and we were not let down at all. While it mainly caters to adults, they were 100% family friendly with our 4 kids. They have a great selection for kids on their kids menu unlike a lot of other places (try the cinnamon roll French toast). I had the chicken fried steak breakfast which was comparable to southern home cooking (and I'm from the South). Great atmosphere and people. Most of the folks dining seemed to know each other, but they welcomed us newbies all the same! Wish we would have found this place sooner!

    Yep, there is Betty Boop memorabilia all around. There are oldies playing on the radio. There is REAL Fiesta wear for dishes. Good coffee, good lattes, and great breakfasts. The Beez Scramble is eggs, spinach (plentiful and not overcooked spinach), onion, sausage, and smoked Gouda. The portions are really substantial. Lunch, same story. The tuna salad is HUGE. This is cafe food done well. She's open at 6:30 a.m., which is great for morning meetings. Beez is a great little find, on Holgate at SE 27th, kind of hard to notice from the street. Take a minute to find it. It's worth it.
