Barf. I will never set foot inside this place again, if I can help it. I stopped in here a few months ago for a quick drink before a party around the corner, and this DEFINTELY isn't the place where decent-looking people hang out. I say this because every single man (nary a women in the bar) turned around to look at me when I walked in. They must not catch much action at this place. Stiff drinks, yes. But I've got other places in the 'hood who'll serve me a stiff one. I don't fancy catching a STD or other germ-ridden disease simply by sitting down on a cracked-upholstery bar stool. That might happen to you at this place.

A seedier shithole I've yet to enter in Portland! For that, part of me almost loves it....entertainment opportunities abound if you like people watching. If you are a female I'd definitely advise you to go during daytime hours and take male accompaniment with you. I enjoyed eavesdropping on a story about how some pretty old fat dude told another fat dude about how he beat some guy's ass. I wouldn't doubt that this bar could be the very setting for him to give some perceived jerk his comeuppance. All of the video poker machines were filled with people trying to hit the jackpot just one last time. The machines donned handwritten signs with misspelt words about not allowing their use after 1:30am, though Mac and I both agreed we were fond of the way they hyphenated "Thank-You" written at the bottom. Excellent improvisational penmanship! At one point Mac was at the bar ordering for us, and the whole time I prayed that no one would come up and talk to me. Then an old guy in an electric wheelchair started to come my way. Then I sort of pictured him as Joe Swanson from family guy...maybe this wasn't 715 Inn in Portland, maybe we were all really in The Drunken Clam in Quahog..I started praying silently and thank god he was just going past me.

Worst. Bar. Ever. Bar none. Owner shows videos on his phone of his ex having sex with multiple guys (not him), and he changes drink prices and bartenders more often than his underwear. He also substitutes cheaper liquor in the top shelf bottles, and has sex with over-served women in the bathroom. The "manager" smells like a mildew farm and lashes out when he loses his disability check in the poker machines. The other hanger-on is known by the regulars as "the rat." OLCC has had them on probation for more than a year due to many fights, over-serving, and a drive-by. Add the giggling drunk who can't say anything sensible, and you've got the 715, also known as "the quarter after." This used to be my favorite neighborhood place, back when it was a beer and wine tabern. But no more. Can't wait for those 600+ apartments down 9th Ave to be finished, so maybe someone who is actually competent will take this place over for a song.

I like dive, but this was too dive. Most people around the bar looked homeless It wasn't a good place to be at night for a young girl. I left 5 minutes after arriving.

So yeah it was christmas eve and my friends and I were looking for a cheap dive after spending WAY too much at a lame yuppie karaoke place on sandy. Sure we were the only caucasians in the house and the bathroom was uh less than inviting but maybe the christmas spirit posessed everyone but it was a good time. There's a pool table and lots of video gambling for those who are into that. All I can say is it was open and my liquor drinking friends said the drinks were stiff. At least the people here don't try WAY too hard.

this place is gross. it's cramped and hot, dirty and a little sleazy. but don't get me wrong... i like it here. caution, as a female, i'd suggest not going alone and if you have friends with bad habits.. stay far far away. but don't get me wrong, i do like it here.
