My favorite Mexican joint in town. The hosts were fast, friendly, and efficient. I felt very welcome. We were seated right away and chips and salsa we're on our table in no time at all. The decor was clean and cute. A bit cheesy as they were going for the Mexican villa type of thing but done with paint instead of actually decor. It was still cute though.. The food arrived quickly and was fairly priced. I definitely enjoyed it. I really love Mexican food and will Co tinge trying new places, but when not in the mood for a risk this is my old faithful. The only downside is the parking lot. It can get very crowded and tight. Well worth it though.

Good margaritas, great service and most of all hot and delicious food without a wait!!

Looking for a quick lunch in the Medford area, so I checked with fellow Yelpers and up came the Si Casa Flores. I understand it's a chain which I like to avoid and eat at locally owned one-of-a-kind restaurants. Started off with really, really hot chips and a great tasting salsa. This was a very nice dining experience and very reasonably priced to boot. I would certainly eat here again anytime I had a hankering for Mexican food, mildly flavored as it was.

Went here on Friday 2/13 for a quick dinner because we couldn't get seating at bambu. Good service overall. Had live music that night, two singers walked around the restaurant. We were seated quickly. Ordered the fajitas which was just okay. Bland flavor. Salsa and chips were okay. Nothing great. Don't think I'll return again given the meal was just alright and there are a lot more restaurants to try.

Have been comming here for many years. I always have a Cadillac Margareta and they are always super. The food is very good, the best in Medford and the wait staff is exceptional.

I'm really disappointed because this is our favorite mexican restaurant in Medford, it's right up the street from where we live so whenever we're craving mexican, we like to call in our order for take-out. The last two times we brought our food home only to find out they got our order wrong. Just seems like they are going down hill...sad.

My family & I have been coming here for about 15 years. Love the food but the service has gone way down in the last few months. Slow, rude, wrong orders especially when the owners are not there. Too bad.

The only thing thats good about this place is the wait staff. The food is bland and flavorless and the margarita is watery and terrible. Its also overpriced the quality does not match the cost. Never going back

Long time from our last visit, appearance outside was clean, neat, good parking; interior was clean throughout, greeting was friendly & welcoming, server was quick and efficient, food offerings are excellent as are the serving sizes, good beverage/drinks selection, good coffee. This remains one of our most favorite Mexican restaurants in Medford, OR. We have yet to try the other two nearby restaurants having the same name. Our choice is located on N. Phoenix Rd...only. The staff continue their excellent performance, reputation, and provide a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. Try them. Enjoy!

My first observation of this restaurant is that it's very clean with a nice atmosphere playing traditional hispanic music! The lighting was not too bright or intense like some restaurants. We were seated promptly and were served delicious salsa with warmed chips! Why don't all Mexican restaurants serve their chips warm? The margarita was huge and delicious!!! Our waitress was attentive, I regret not getting her name. Our food came really fast and I've never seen plates so huge, literally the plates were huge and filled! My date ordered the vegetarian burrito which was stuffed with beans & rice and tons of fresh, chunky veggies on top. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The chicken was shredded, moist and delicious! It was served with the most amazing beans topped with tons of melted cheese and rice. We can't believe we haven't stumbled upon this restauarnt sooner. We will be back!!!! You are definately doing it right!

Very generic Ameri-Mex. Alright for what it is but nothing special..

Food was ok, run of the mill Mexican, but the margarita was the weakest I've ever had. When I asked the waitress to please make me another she said that they are always like that here.

I must say, the staff works very hard and efficiently. Beyond that, we found the food to be pretty flavorless...even with the salsa! We've eaten here three or four times now and it's really not improved over time. I guess we are gluttons for punishment. Having said that, this will be our last visit. Oh yes, the margaritas were about the same as the food.

This is a Southern Oregon chain of restaurants with several locations throughout the Rogue Valley and Grants Pass. The Mc Andrews location has become a staple in our eating out habits mainly because of the friendly staff and attentive service. Seriously though the staff and owners are top notch. The food is fairly pedestrian, and exactly what you would expect from an Americanized Mexican restaurant. I believe my wife would rate this place a little higher than I have, but it truly does have average food that is nothing to write home about. I will say this though - at least you can get a taco with soft corn tortillas, unlike some other places in town.

To all who have followed what Miss M. has told you about this place... First of all Si Casa Flores doesn't even have a $15 burrito. Secondly alot of mexican restaurants use Gringos in their menus for American food. The prices are actually very reasonable. They send out coupons all the time in the local valu-packs for buy 1 get 1 free dinner entrees. Most of their combination plates are good deals and they make a decent margarita.

Depending on your Mexican food background, you may find si casa flores pretty darn good, or just so so. For me it was just so so. The food wasn't bad, just nondescript. I usually eat Mexican for the great bold flavors. Unfortunately these big spices and flavors don't live here at si casa flores. Bottom line is this is the Mexican food your white grandmother used to cook.

Food's OK but not as good as El Arriero. Service can be condescending and hurried. Not my favorite attitude when I'm paying for it.

Juuust this side of what you'd expect. The food was very good and didn't taste at all "right out of the box." The service was excellent and the location is convenient for us! I do recommend it if you're on this side of town.

The Bistek ala Cazuela is delicious. Probably the best thing on the menu. The enchiladas mole are pretty good (but I love anything with mole), their salsa is YUMMY. Pick some up at Fred Meyer or Albertsons and slap it on your homemade breakfast burrito, then moan in ecstacy. My daughter is a huge fan of the asada quesadilla. The burritos are a bit pricey, but I'm from the Bay Area, where giagantor burritos from authentic hole-in-the-wall places are maybe $5, so I am spoiled. It's not authentic Mexican, but it does the job. The servers (which appear to be all men...+10 points for that) are all very nice and very attentive. The rub for me is the "Gringos" on the menu. It's offensive, and I can't help but wonder if it's also tongue-in-cheek, and I'm the only one that's picked up on it. Good margaritas, and they can accomodate large groups. The place is clean and nicely decorated. For some reason, I really like it during the winter...but I'm weird, so...

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
