The food was outstanding...hubby got a shredded chicken chimichanga. I ordered a chili relent and shredded beef taco. Usually we don't care about the rice and beans, but they were irresistible. Service was great, too. If it can qualify as a criticism. ..the portions are too big. Good thing I don't live here.

Wanting a Mexican combo platter, we popped into Si Casa after seeing restaurants around. They had a decent kids menu...aaand thats about it. We were there for literally almost 2 hours. For fine dining that would be no problem, here, that is a huge issue. It took forever for the food to arrive due to a big party in the back and the fact that a packed house had like 2 servers, who were apathetic at best. I understand a big party, but get more help, or try to appease the guests some other way... Food was OK, very generic Americanized Mexican food. Lots of it, but nothing special. To top it off, at the end, they were so concerned with seating new people, they ignored those trying to pay. Plus, the CC machine was broken, so their clever fix was to have you use a manual old school charge slip and write your full CC number then LEAVE IT ON THE TABLE. No chance for fraud there... Will not return, and implore you to not stop here. Not with so many other good options in Medford..Like Taco Bell for instance...

Some of the better Mexican food I've had in Southern Oregon. It's even better when you have a buy one get one coupon! The shredded chicken was bomb! The Shredded beef was pretty good too, though not as good as the chicken. I had a Chili Relleno that was one of the better quality ones I've had!

This is worse than Taco bell... "see my taco bell review" I am not out to hurt the livelihood of this business but we paid almost 20 bucks for burrito's that came w/ chips and salsa " they were fine" The beans might have been good if they would have put on more than one tiny scoop and the same w/ the rice "the 2 cheapest foods you can get and they more than skimp" Ok now for that dry tasteless nasty burrito I have had better for a buck at wal mart and I am not kidding

Worst food ever, tastes like Taco Bell..The people who serve you are extremely rude, getting an attitude for asking about the food! They seved me old, sour salsa and didnt act like it was a big deal when I called them out on it politely!!

We came to Si Casa Flores due to the great reviews. The staff is welcoming, front of the house is clean. Water, chips and salsa arrived quickly on the table. Best chips and salsa we have had for awhile. I asked about the waiter's choice between two menu items, and decided on the Pollo Chipotle. Hubby had a combo with a beef enchilada and chile rellano. The food arrived quickly and the portions were huge. My chicken was overdone, it was tough, but the flavor is definately there. Hubby did not really care for what he picked, but thought that was just an off choice. The chile rellano was had alot of breading, and he does not like it that way. I would give it another try.

I ordered the Taco Salad for lunch with the ground beef option and no shell. The waiter asked if I wanted sour cream and guacamole and I said "sure". (Don't most taco salads usually come with these basic two ingredients?) without these two ingredients the "salad" would be simply, lettuce, a few small pieces of pale bland tomato, a small amount of shredded cheddar and the ground beef. The "ground beef" was terrible. It looked and tasted as if it came out of a can....pink and so finely ground that the meat was the consistency of sand. I had to ask for salsa. I found out later when I got the bill that I was charged $2.00 extra for the sour cream and guacamole on the salad which brought the cost up to $10.95! I feel "had" If you want a taco salad you would be better off going to Taco Delight and paying $6.95 for a much better salad. They even put black olives and beans on theirs. The best I have had lately was at Yeong's in Coos Bay.

My husband and I just moved to Medford, Oregon and Si, Casa Flores was the first place we ate at. I had the shredded beef taco plate. It was awesome. the beef was well marinated and cooked to perfection. Very juicy. 2 tacos topped with cheese and lettuce and served with rice and beans. It was very delish. We will definitely be coming back.

I won't ever come here again. I guess when a guest presents you with a suggestion, it's their policy to argue with the customer. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, and forgot to order the tortilla strips on the side, (I'm aware of this problem happening, cause it always comes like that If I don't). So after I enjoy this tasty broth with avacado and chicken and tomatoes and cheesy, all that sits in the bottom of my bowl is nasty soggy tortilla strips. I suggest to the server that they wait til JUST before bringing the food is when they should add the strips. He told me it wasn't prepared that way and that soggy tortilla is how it's supposed to be. :/ uhhhh.. No. I know you got the soup first tossed in the strips and let it sit while my family's food cooked. :/ seriously. All you had to do was be nice and smile. Not argue and be a smug jerk. :D customer service isn't hard, I do it too. But congrats! You've lost a customer. And kinda rained on my "I just bought my wedding dress" parade.

A delicious experience! I had Enchiladas Mole with pork; the mole sauce had wonderful undertones of cinnamon and chocolate. She had Pollo y Arroz which was in a delicious tomato sauce containing mushrooms, celery and onions. We capped or meal with the tastiest Flan that I've ever had. The atmosphere was delightful and our server, Queta, was top-notch. We highly recommend the Si Casa Flores in Medford!

Scenario: two cars, five grumpy coworkers after a long drive down from Portland. Including our really cranky boss, who had a limited amount of time to eat dinner. We got lost looking for the Si Casa Flores on Barnett. I have no idea if it exists or not.No one would ask directions, one person had a hand held GPS that wasn't working, another had an I-Phone that she didn't know how to use the app... finally a non driving coworker whipped out her i-Phone and found us ANOTHER Si Casa Flores. Apparently there are several. Thank God for I-Phones. We found this one. It was good. We were super cranky after being lost. But big margaritas ( mine was strawberry) and chips and salsa took care of that quickly. What did people eat? enchiladas, carne asada, tacos, fish tacos, chile rellenos, rice and beans. It was dead quiet while we were eating, that's how I know it was good. My chicken enchiladas de mole were delicious. About $12. My margarita was $8. Well worth every stinking penny. So good. My boss got lost again on her way back to the hotel, but we went and rescued her and really weren't too upset about having to do that, because we were still in a nice mood from a good dinner. Oh, and the server was really nice, efficient, and cute. And the decor was fun and festive without being too over the top.

Wow! The service was terrible. Wait staff very loud and unprofessional. Actually saw waitstaff pick up, off the floor, a piece of paper to wrap around napkin and silverware sets. Yuck! The food was very bland. Served very small bowl of salsa, then wanted to charge a$1.50 for more. Prices were very high! Please don't wear a lot of perfume when you serve food. Smell stays behind and you smell it when you are eating. Will not go back!

Si casa flores, contrary to popular belief had absolutely nothing to do with flowers. I'm sure you could understand my disappointment when I went there expecting to buy flowers and instead was given mexican food. Though the mexican food was very good it didnt compare to the delicious taste and texture of the flowers I went there to purchase. I was very disappointed and I dont want anyone else to have to suffer the way I did.

I come here for tortilla soup and for shredded beef tacos mainly. When I want to have a specialty I'll get arroz con pollo, which is awesome here. I do order the arroz con pollo with the rice separate from the sauce mixture because it keeps the rice from getting soggy later when I take home leftovers. Our favorite server is Fernando, he's been here for years and takes care of his customers.

I asked for no beans and they gave me beans. Si Casa flores while not known for it's American food or flowers bears a striking resemblance to another restaurant also called Si Casa flores. Both prepare fine high quality meals of things people eat like soufle duck breast and spider salad. This place is very good the only downside is the lack of WiFi. My favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry.

This place was empty when I went on Friday night to order take out at around 9:30. I have no idea why it was empty, because I ordered some kind of chicken fajita burrito thing, and my husband and I both thought the food was fantastic. The waitress was really nice, and the place was beautiful inside. This place should be busier!

I'd say Si Casa Flores is a fair-to-middlin' Mexican restaurant. Completely typical and reminds me of the chain restaurants at home. Our service was a little off. Out of a table of four, they got two orders right. One friend ordered the nachos with only cheese and beef, but the plate came out with beans and condiments. Another friend ordered a bean tostada ala carte (no rice & beans). They brought out a pile of lettuce on a tostada shell. ? The mess-up isn't a huge deal, but the gentleman that came over to help decided that my friend needed a lecture on how to order correctly. "You said no rice or beans" um, yes, sir. But she meant on the side, not IN the tostada. Who the hell would order a fried tortilla with just shredded lettuce? Anyway - it wasn't the mistake that was the turn-off, it was the attitude that came with it. Given the dearth of Mexican restaurants in the area, I think we'll check those out before venturing back to Si Casa Flores.

Stopped in a few months ago on my way through town, and was very pleased with my meal. The carne asada burrito I had was excellent, the salad and salsa was also quite good, and the service was top notch. I would definitely go back again.

Si Casa Flores has been our go to mexican food place for 9 years. I've never been left disappointed with the food or the service. I love their chicken fajitas, and their combo plates are great as well. They have a good margarita, and the environment is great and always clean. Overall, for Southern Oregon it's a great place for mexican food - it's definitely not authentic, and I wish they had home made tortillas, but I'm happy we had such a good place for the area.

My wife and I have been going to the various Si Casa locations in Medford (as well as the one in Phoenix) for over eight years, on and off. The Biddle location is the one we frequented the most. All in all, it's consistent, decent, Americanized Mexican food. All things considered, it's not bad for Medford. Service is mixed in attitude but is typically quick and responsive. Most dishes are served with a garnishing of shredded lettuce, which I learned to avoid by requesting its omission -- it tends to get wilty and sad when hit with the warmth of beans, rice and whatever other kind of food is present on the plate. My only complaints are that the prices have risen somewhat substantially over the years and are now a hair on the high side (though not bank-breakingly high), and the fantastic pico de gallo salsa no longer comes along with the chips and regular salsa. You can request it, but it's an extra 75 cents to buck-fifty (seemingly at random). Would also be nice to see more salsa verde dishes on the menu but that's not really a complaint; it's only because I'm a big verde guy.

Bleh. Good chips and salsa but all downhill from there. Maybe it's just cuz I'm from Texas but the enchilada, rice, and beans were all pretty awful.

No joke - this is THE BEST Mexican food EVER! I've lived on the west coast, east coast and places in between and Si Casa is hands down at the top of the list for Mexican food. Portions leave you with enough for lunch the next day (who doesn't love that???). It's consistently, 100% of the time exactly what you expect and the quality of food is consistent from visit to visit. Love it. Love it. Love it.

Wonderful (above average) food and mostly good service. There's a bus-boy who was racing around cleaning tables and vacuuming, banging chairs, etc. It's nice to see people working hard, but we were trying to have a quiet meal surrounded by this racket.

Love the food and great service. I always get the same thing, and it never disappoints. All of the servers are attentive and the food usually comes out pretty quick. No complaints here!

We're headed down to CA on vacation, and finding a non-chain is kind of hard here. Even though this is apparently a "local" chain, it was pretty darned good. Good service, food came out quick, and good salsa. I'd definitely stop in again if we were in the area.

Good food, great service. Authentico. Try the carne asada tacos.

I like their food a lot but most of the locations serve it spicy. That's ok if you like spicy. The location in Phoenix is the best for not-so spicy.

I would have to say si casa has to be the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten, not to mention over priced. The servers aren't overly friendly. The restaurant it self is very nice with the decor and clean, but that would have to be the only positives on the place.

Generous serving of carne asada was excellent as was the sangria generous and excellent. The restaurant was clean and the waiter was polite and attentive.

This one deserves the "best of..." it gets! Friendly employees. Good food, large portions. We moved to town 9 months ago and haven't tried any other Mexican places! We love the decor too!

Yes, good service and tasty meals. Super large portions, so come with a hungry stomach or split a plate. Typical "mexican" standard fare- you know, restaurant style.

Ever since I have moved out to the East Coast, I search for good Mexican food whenever I am out on the West Coast. Si Casa Flores certainly didn't dissapoint! I had enchiladas rancheras tonight and it was great. Nice and spicy...The service was great with just the right amount of attention. The next time I am in Medford, I will certainly go to Si Casa Flores again.

I spent 21 years in Southern Oregon and this place was one of the best Mexican Restaurant's i have ever eaten at. I was born in San Jose California and ate the best Mexican food North of the border. Try the Pollo Mole it is to die for simply the best on the planet. The Fajitas are the bomb! When ever i go back to visit i stop in and say hello to my friend and the owner Gregorio!

  • Joy B.

Sweet!! Great, efficient, friendly, quick service. Really good food. I had the enchiladas mole with shredded beef and was very pleased with portion size and great flavors. My husband had the express burrito with chicken and loved it but couldn't finish it because there was so much of it. Even my kids were happy! Great place! We'll come back again!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
