I've been eating pita pit for almost a decade...since my drunken college days in Eugene, way back when the delivery guys would accept a bong hit in lieu of a tip. Today I may have eaten the best pita ever. 9 times out of 10 I'll ask the pita guy to make me what he usually makes for himself. They never disappoint. Today the guy made me a black bean patty, grilled mushrooms, onions, and peppers, with lots of other stuff, all topped off with a dollop of yellow mustard. Seriously sublime. Thank you pita man with the black rasta hat.

Pretty good food! A different style, but fairly healthy and yum! Also, pricy. But if you have the cash, a good option for something different.

I really really wish they had this chain in California. So healthy, yummy and tasty! Came to this location and it was the emptiest compared to all the other restaurants around the area. So glad we stopped by because I wanted something light, healthy and filling. This place definitely fulfilled my needs! It was our first time and the workers were also very helpful. It's like a subway but Mediterranean style. Haha! You choose which kind of pita pocket sandwich filling and the types of veggies you want. I am very glad to have stopped by :)

Medford is exactly half way on our road trips from the Bay Area to Portland, so we try to always stop and find someplace to eat...the first couple of times we found ourselves in a very blech-y Applebees (or maybe it was Chilis?) and had a hard time finding something fast, cheap, and relatively healthy that we could get in and out of at a good pace. And then we found the Pita Pit! We came at an off hour (around four pm) so we had the whole place to ourselves. That was great, because it took us a bit to absorb all the choices on the menu board, and the counter folks had time to explain the process of ordering. (Which isn't really complicated, we were just a bit slow...13 hours of driving...ugh) But the gyros were delicious! We ordered two for the three of us to split, one with turkey and one with hummus, and each had tons of extra veggies. Yum. The only strange part was the second time we went there, ordering the same things, they gave us a difficult time about splitting the gyro up three ways, even though on our first visit the request was performed without batting an eye. When my husband offered to just cut it himself, the counter person finally acquiesced, but it was odd. Still, that was the only bad note, so thumbs up, overall

Tried the online order today since they sent me an email promo. Couldn't get the promo to work on their online service. Called up their store to ask about it... Guy says just bring the email in and we will honor it. Great customer service guys! Had a big Greek and a buffalo chicken... Both were delicious and were fresh and healthy.

Ordered online and it was very confusing. However, upon picking it up it was done and order was exactly as requested. There was a line where you pick up and a staff member came over to help us. She was very polite and professional. I had a coupon and she didn't know how to apply it. There was a gentlemen (I'm assuming a manager or supervisor) telling her to not work at the register until properly trained. I don't know why they couldn't just train her while she was doing our order. It also wasn't professional of him to scold her in front of customers. I am very pleased by her great customer service. Food was delicious!

My first time at Pita Pit... They don't have many beverages to choose from. Placed an order for delivery online. After an hour & no food we called to see what's up. They "didn't notice" the order & it'll be another 20 min +. Did not offer a price reduction, coupon, free cookie, nada, for their mistake. We tipped at checkout online, unfortunately. That said, from the time we spoke on the phone to delivery wasn't very long, the pitas were HUGE, & the flavor was ok.

Fresh, Filling and it fits my budget! So many layers and so many flavors! What a great alternative to the typical sandwich! Thanks for lunch Ben!

I have been to Pita Pit several times and I've always had a great experience. The staff has ALWAYS been very nice. My foster brother ordered a Prime Rib pita, but sadly they had run out - right away the guy taking our order recommended the Philly Steak to him. He was okay with that...now it's his new favorite and I expect he'll be ordering that from now on (o: I had my usual chicken pita, I prefer mine on wheat with spinach, feta, cucumbers, tomatoes, mushrooms, tzatziki, and green bell pepper. Very tasty! The only reason I'm giving a four star instead of five is because I don't care for the fact that a lot of the proteins are precooked. Pita Pit says they're a healthy alternative to fast food - part of that should be cooking the meats to order instead of heating them up. I think they would be so much tastier, then I would give five stars. Either way, if you're tired of Subway being your healthy alternative to fast food then check out Pita Pit. You actually get your money's worth and there's no funky stench lingering in the air.

Great place to eat. Food good. The pita pit in Medford is one of the best ones, I think

I love Pita Pit, I always have. I'm from Philly and I used to work in its downtown and there was a Pita Pit there that I fell in love with when I went vegetarian (the falafel/hummus/baba pita is freaking awesome). So you've got to know I love the food but I'm writing this review because of the service. My fiance and I went into Pita Pit tonight around 4:00 and it was pretty busy. There were 2 people ahead of us waiting for their food and this wonderful sales associate Bridget, working the grill. With a really awesome attitude she prepared their food...she was HUSTLING. In the midst of her hustling and me and my fiance waiting to order, some blondish young guy came out of the back for a hot minute to do something (what I don't know), saw her working her butt off, saw us standing in line and went right back through the doors to be away from customers (seriously dude, you couldn't take our order and help your co-worker out?). Anyway, Bridget made our food right away ("my grill's still hot so let me know what you need") and with amazing humor. After we were sitting down eating, a dad came in with two kids and we heard her say "This may not be Burger King but you can still have it your way! I'll make you your food however you want!" She was awesome. I used to be a Retail Sales Manager with a large and well-respected outdoor company and I would have hired this girl in an instant. Bridget, you rock!

DUSTIN, the shift lead gets 100% and an A+ when it comes to customer service. I travel to Medford twice a month for work and usually get in to town late. I called past the delivery cut-off time and Dustin went out of his way to make an exception for me. Along with the exception, being a first time customer he very kindly took 15 minutes of his time to explain the menu and all the options over the phone. I GIVE PITA PIT of Medford a 10 OUT OF 10 because of DUSTIN. I will not only be returning to enjoy this amazingly tasty food, but I will certainly recommend everyone I come in contact with to go and see DUSTIN at the Medford Pita Pit!!!!!

I went to The Pita Pit for the first time Monday with my wife for lunch. I had a craving for Gyro's so I overlooked the high price of almost 8 dollars for one. I ordered two and two small drinks and was informed that they were out of tzatziki sauce....really? Its Noon on a Monday how can you be out of anything? Not to mention the store is next to Safeway who i'm sure had the ingredients. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I have known the owner Ben for quite some time through the local Chamber. He had been stressing the importance of their fresh ingredients of their food. I recently was ordered on a diet by my doctor and she too, started talking about eating "fresh" food. I tried Pita Pit and discovered I could select from the menu "fork style". Basically a salad. With an amazing menu and a large selection of sauces/dressings, I can, and often do eat there, twice a week and not get tired of it. I have since hit my target weight for my diet and Pita Pit/Ben have been a major part of my success.

I love the fresh veggies and fast delivery. They are always happy and friendly. I would have Pita Pit any day. Why wouldn't you want to have fresh cut veggies daily instead of stuff from a can like other places.

I'd really like to see more stars for this place. They're employees are always nice and they always stuff the pitas to max capacity. I've had to resort to a fork and a plate (which they offer) its a little spend but you get what you pay for. They have such a good variety of fresh veggies and meats how could you not love this place? Knocks the socks off sandwich shops.

I was very happy to find a place like Pita Pit when I moved to Medford. I love the fresh vegetables combined with grilled meat on a pita. The people here are great too and the combination of great food and great people keeps me coming back about once a week.

Really good pitas! First choose your meat to be cooked, then white or wheat pita, then a choice of veggies to be grilled with the meat such as onions or bell peppers, add any other veggies/lettuce, large selection of sauces and there is about 3 cheese choices (the feta cheese tastes awesome)! Very friendly customer service! There were tip jars all along the counters. Nice restaurant inside but small. All the pitas are around $6 alone but if you want chips and a drink too it ends up being $9! If you want avocado it is $0.75 extra! Costs about the same as getting a footlong at subway these days but tastes better! :P Wasn't crowded at all either just one guy ahead of me in line. Fast service.

If you have never had a Giro or Falafel sandwich, don't let this place scare you off from the good ones. This place uses the frozen box Giro meat you can buy at any grocery store or in bulk at Cash & Carry. It is ok but the meat cooked on a spit is to die for. They also use a falafel mix and in the sandwich has the consistency of stuffing from a roasted bird. That is not how falafel should be served. Falafel should be deep fried balls of the mixture. The crunch and texture is part of the experience. For the price, they give you very little meat on the Giro sandwich. You need to order double meat but then the sandwich is too expensive. The food was ok and you can have them put lots of veggies on it. Normally on a Giro, I would not want the veggies but here you need to bulk up the sandwich since there is so little meat on it.

Yes, a bit pricey, but so fresh, healthy and tasty. Our first time there, and exceeded expectations for a "fast food" joint. The service, well, a bunch of kids, but they're well-trained, pleasant, and take pride in their work. As others have said, it's a good idea to ask the cashier for their recommendations on unique pitas. They were most helpful, and offered unique, 'off-menu' twists. And for those driving I-5, it's easy access. 1 mile towards Crater Lake, then left at Delta Waters.

Good pitas. Terribly slow service--but only because all the employees are so freaking friendly and talk it up to everyone in line. The prices seem higher here. Without knowing what I paid in Salem, it's hard to confirm though. I just don't remember paying $9 for falafel, drink, and chips up north.

It's Pita Pit. A somewhat healthy alternative to the fast food being offered on just about every corner in the almost urban, definite sprawl that is Medford, Oregon. I became aware of Pita Pit in Eugene where it is quite popular. The Medford location is newer and seems to be doing well. The service is friendly and efficient, the food definitely fresh. Located on a busy corner, parking is easy and plentiful.

No towels in the bathroom. Loud butt rock CD skipping the entire time and employees apparently too high to notice. The food: I ordered a falafel and let me say I've had some bad falafel in my life. This was much worse. Not sure it even qualifies as falafel unless falafel is also synonymous with dog food (not an exaggeration). Go to the grocery store, buy the cheapest falafel mix you can find, ignore the directions, wing it and completely screw it up. You will end up with something far more palatable. Perhaps I should put this into context. In Medford your choices are corporate crap food or really bad diner food (don't get me started on the Mexican food). At least the pit has some fresh veggies and stale pita. In Ashland one can find good food at excellent food prices. Other than that, south of Eugene, Oregon is a wasteland of taste.

As the only place I know of in Medford to get anything close to resembling a Gyro, I go often. The Gyros Pita is pretty good :I order mine with lamb, iceberg lettuce Tzatziki sauce (cumcumber yogurt, lemon sauce) feta, and jalapenos for a kick. My wife usually gets the chicken Caesar Pita and likes it too. All ingredients are fresh and high quality. A little pricey...But what are ya gonna do.

This place was a pleasant surprise; however the prices were steep. THE GOOD: + Tasty, reasonably healthy + Fast service THE BAD: - High prices for what you get - Charging for "extras" - Somewhat limited menu - Did I mention the prices? THE VERDICT: GO. Don't expect much, but considering it's the only place like it in Medford, just lower your expectations a little and go.

We first experienced the Pita Pit in Ashland and were very ecstatic to see the newest franchise open up in Medford. The location is great, easy to get in and out of. The pitas are wonderful. The ingredients are all very fresh. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and normally we enjoy going here. My complaint though is the pricing seems to be different in Medford for some reason. My husband and I ordered pitas today, he had the gyro and I had the chicken souvlaki. The pitas were pricey to begin with, $6.75 each or something like that. The menu reads, "Extra hummus $0.75" and "Extra avocado $0.75." The girl running the register asked us if we planned on having avocado for the additional $0.75 and we said no. We got in line to order up the pitas... the guy behind the counter started our order and when we asked for hummus he says, "Did you talk to the girl at the register about that?" We replied that we hadn't but said that we weren't asking for "Extra hummus" but just the regular amount of hummus. He said that there was an extra charge of $0.75 to add it. So basically if you want the "extra" hummus and "extra" avocado (or ANY of either) it's costing you more. This takes the pita to $7.50 or $8.25 a piece. You can get a great salad for less that than across the street at Kaleidoscope Pizza. And not to mention, there is no "Additional charge" in Ashland for adding the normal amount of either of these items to your pita. I just was flabbergasted that in the down turned economy this place is charging for "extras" when there's nothing "extra" about it. I'm sure someday we will be back but with prices like that... maybe we can go elsewhere. It's a crock.
