2 word... Breakfast Burrito! Defininetly better than what you will pick up at your fast food joint, and its toasty and warm and full of fluffy eggs, potatoes cheese.... and BACON mmmm They serve it up with some salsa, its not as spicy as I would like but it is tasty :)

Food is good...WHEN U GET THE CORRECT ITEMS! A bit greasy but still good. It seems everytime I go there there get shorted an item or the wrong item altogether! This alone bothers me and quite frankly makes me apprehensive about returning since I live clear across town. If it's a communication problem...then perhaps the help should brush up on their English! I would hate to think they are deliberately doing this cause the food is pretty dang good.

Ordered the 5 rolled taco special and the Jamaica drink. The drink was watered down, the guacamole tasted mostly like sour cream, and three of the tacos were a bit tough in the middle. Maybe the bland taste could have been drowned out by salsa, but none was included in my bag and they did not ask me if I wanted any, Overall the rolled tacos were only ok because I was hungry. However, I would not recommend them.

Had the sausage breakfast burrito and it was pretty s$&@ty. It was 85% potatoes and no cheese, eggs or sausage. So I went back and got the carne asada burrito. Not impressed at all. And what is up with Mexican restaurants not having real guacamole?!?!?! That green colored sour cream crap you call guacamole is repulsive. Coming from San Diego and loving real Mexican food, this place is garbage. I'm just here visiting friends and am sad yelpers gave this place a 4 star. I recommend NOT going here.

OK I am a Muchas Gracias fan. And I had a really fine carnitas burrito plate with creamy house made refried beans. The carnitas were crispy on the outside, chewy and buttery on the inside, that, plus guacamole & salsa fresca in a soft flour tortilla. Eh, the rice. No one outside of someone's Tia makes the rice good; that's OK, I work around that. But for all that is holy, would you guys clean the place up and kill all the damn flies?? I'm cool with a lot, but the flies were creeping me out. Five points for the food, less two points for having more flies than all of Tijuana. Shut up. It's the truth.

Muchas gracias for the ultimate midnight gut bomb! Hell yeah, their refried beans are satisfyingly dangerous at midnight, when I decide to scarf down two bean and cheese burritos and a bean tostada. Why the hell would someone go to taco bell next door when this consistent gem goes far beyond expectation? I do not eat meat, but my friend has said the carne asada is greatness.

If the reviews for MG came from only people in the Medford area, I'd understand why this place is rated at four stars. But strangely, there are several reviewers from California speaking highly of MG. Seriously? Like the Taco Bell this restaurant replaced, you're not really getting much in the way of sustenance, nutrition, or flavor. Given that MG is open 24 hours, this restaurant falls squarely into the "it's 3am and I'm so freaking hungry and I'm not driving to the McDonalds on Biddle and I'm probably so drunk anyway I won't notice I'm eating highly-seasoned Play-Doh" category. Think I'm fooling? Find the reviewer who commented on his "grayish-brown" carne asada. GRAYISH-BROWN? Are you serious? Amazingly, there are decent Mexican food places in Medford. MG is definitely not one of them. If you're into food quality not too far removed from the grade school cafeteria line, then MG is the place for you.

I was looking forward to some authentic Mexican food, but I was very disappointed. I ordered a chicken burrito and they literally gave me a slap of chicken wrapped in a tortilla. Really? You would think people like other things in their burritos besides the meat such as guacamole, sour cream, beans, rice, etc. But no. Just chicken and tortilla. Meat tasted horrible and the tortilla was extremely dry. I am never going here again.

I've tried this restaurant a few times, ordering something different each time thinking maybe the next time would be better but it always disappoints. The location is close, prices reasonable but the quality of the meats they use is gross. The carne asada is too grisly, I feel like every bite I'm picking something out. Last night I decided to try their chicken chimichanga, it was huge, looked good, smelled good but then when I went to take a bite the chicken tasted funky to me. It was cut really weird which made me think it was from a can or something, I don't know but it tasted bad. The pico de gallo that came with it tasted funky too, like it had been prepared a few days ago & not covered or protected properly. I ended up eating part of the tortilla and tossing the rest. I won't waste my money here again.

Review is for the carne asada burrito: 1) Flour tortilla should be made with lard, it wasn't. 2) Pico de gallo in the burrito was added with the liquid! Made the burrito overflow like a soupy mess. Strain the pico de gallo before adding it to the burrito. 3) Carne asada was bland. Tasted like it was boiled. Should be grilled. 4) Guacamole mixed with sour cream??? Well, whatever it was...just no

Usually a pretty good cheap Mexican lunch when I'm on the go. I used to eat here all the time and loved it but lately I've noticed a huge dip in quality. I usually get the chicken enchiladas and the sauce just hasn't been as good as it was. Last time I went, the chicken was a strange pinky color and kinda chewy and I haven't felt like eating here since. I'll give it another chance eventually and update my review.

Used to be good....but not anymore I used to go there often years ago. But lately the quality has been terrible. I don't know if they changed owners but you can tell they are doing things to cut corners and trying to save money. I went there not to long ago and ordered a chicken enchilada, not much chicken and the sauce was watery and tasted terrible. But I decided to give them another try tonight. First of all my order came up to $25.00 not cheap. I could have went to a sit down place for that kind of money. I got home I realized they forgot a $5.00 enchilada (not happy about that). I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga 75% of it was super runny refried beans, the other 20% was bell peppers and onions and there was about 5% shredded beef. Literally I think they put a tablespoon of meat in it. The chimichanga used to be all meat. I really hope the owner reads this and starts to make changes otherwise they are going to start loosing customers. I probably won't go back after tonight. Sucks cause they used to be so good.

This review is for Muchas Gracias at the Rogue Valley Mall - same owner. I was there a couple of days ago and was charged $7.29 for my meal. When I paid with cash, I received $7.29 back in change. Based on her behavior, it was clear that the cashier shortchanged customers regularly. I cancelled my order and took my $20 back. Be careful.

Food was very bland and mushy. Would recommend just going to Taco Bell next door.

I love there vegetarian burrito! Great place for a late night snack. Always satisfying!

  • Jay P.

Was not to impressed with the food. The chicken burrito I got was very good, but the cheese enchiladas weren't. The cheese inside was not melted and might as well eat shredded cheese out of he bag. The pickled carrots are very good as a condiment. So I recommend the burritos, and I am sure if I would have gotten the chicken enchiladas it would have been a better option.

Really great carne asada tacos and chicken tacos! The carne asada packed a lot of flavor and the chicken was very tender. Great food that is a good deal, the two of us inhaled a ton of food for under $18.

If you go to Muchas Gracias and you don't order the Breakfast Burrito, you are missing the point. This is the rolled up food which is a treasure of life for the hurried, the poor and aristocrats alike. Do not forget to ask for marinated carrots and onions on the side. Thank you very much. Great, quick food. Sometimes the food is heavy in salt. Prices are very reasonable and I recommend the chili relleno or rolled tacos.

The first time I went to this MG I ordered a cheese enchilada and my mother ordered a burrito with NO SOUR CREAM (she's allergic). My enchilada came freezing cold and the cheese was like biting down on twigs. My mother's burrito came swimming in sour cream. When we asked the manager if we could have another one for her, he said no. But I was still hearing good things about MG. So I tried the MG in the Rogue Valley Mall. And I still got a cold cheese enchilada, with salty brown sauce. I won't be going back to any MG, and my search for the best mexican food in the valley continues.

Pretty damn-good tasting mexican grub! They have specials Monday thru Wednesday for about $5, and they're ALL very tasty. Even the veggies are made in-house, with just enough spice to wake up your tongue!...but not burn your mouth so you can't enjoy the rest of your meal. Chimichangas, Chicken tacos, 'rolled tacos' (aka: taquitos), and their burritos are all made from delicious ingredients, the staff is courteous and the place is very clean. Would recommend this place to anyone that finds themselves above the border, with a growling stomach. This particular location (across from the 7-11), is also open 24-hours a day...so you can get your grub on anytime you'd like!

Cheap, quick, near restaurant quality Mexican food. My favorite place to get 2 am Mexican food. I can't believe the people are going to taco bell next door when this place is open? Love their carrots. I always get extra.

After seeing that this place got 3.5 stars on Yelp, my husband and I decided to pick up some dinner after a long day of running errands. When we walked in (so we could get a good long look at the menu) we noticed there were NO other customers inside, but the drive-thru seems to get a lot of traffic, so we decided to get an order to go anyway. My husband ordered a combination plate that was listed as 2 BEEF burritos, rice and beans. I ordered the "New Ground Beef" nachos that were advertised by a sign on the door. We also ordered 3 rolled tacos to share - just as a way to try another menu item. The food was quick to be made and we were on our way home in less than 10 minutes! Too bad the food wasn't edible. The "BEEF" burritos in my husband's combo turned out to be chicken. Big disappointment when you take a big bite expecting beef, and get a mouthful of old-tasting chicken and HUGE green pepper chunks. This turned him off to the food right away. He tried the beans and rice, was not impressed, and pushed it all aside. The nachos looked impressive - a nice mound of tortilla chips covered in meat (ground beef), cheese, and salsa. However - the sign said there would be guacamole and sour cream... Upon taking my first bite, there was something, a texture, that did not fit. When looking through the ground beef, I noticed that it was mainly composed of diced potato! Talk about filler! I like potato - don't get me wrong, but when I order BEEF nachos, I want to taste BEEF. Very disappointing to say the least. No beef flavor, loads of diced potato filler, and no guac or sour cream? Not a nacho I want to waste my calories on! The rolled tacos? Meh - neither good nor bad, just blah. Overall a disappointing dinner that ended in both of us digging for something else to eat from the freezer. We will NOT be returning. Should have saved the $17 and gone to Taco Bell next door!

This place always seems to hit the spot after a long day boating at applegate lake, but otherwise it's pretty average. I would stay their food is pretty average, but you do get a lot for your money so if you are on a budget it's a great choice. Their rolled tacos are good, I love their dollar crispy potato tacos and their burritos are a good selection as well. Their food is a bit too salty though, and not the best of quality. The service is pretty lacking as well.

The carne asada burrito was really good. The meat was perfectly juicy and salty while the tortilla was just awesome. Too bad I live so far... Thank you very much :)

Bleah. greasy, over salted and colorless. I know good Mex, and this ain't it. It is cheap, though. Go elsewhere unless you're desperate in the middle of the night. Location on west Main reeks of grease.

This Muchas was ok. I can't lie, the food was good, but I've been to much better ones in the Portland/Vancouver area. At this one they did not have all the condiments out for the customers. You had to ask for the salsa and they did not have the spicy pickled carrots and what not available to grab. :( I usually love Muchas Gracias. Ok, but not what I've come to expect from this chain.

What a terrible restaurant! The food is okay, if they manage to get your order right -- but do not count on that! They will almost certainly screw up your order. And when you ask for it to be corrected, prepare for rude employees to argue with you. Once you've had enough of that, prepare for them to refuse a refund! Don't bother asking for a manager, either, because they absolutely do not care about you, the terrible service, or the quality of their food.

I tried the carne asade taco plate. The carne asada was a kind of grayish-brown, not the blackened beef that I'm used to. The flavors were a little bland, but on the plus side it's open late and they have a drive through

This is the best drive-in Mexican food in Oregon (and California Norte), bar none. Portland might be the coolest for everything else. But here in slummy ol' Medford, MG whips 'em bad in the carne asada burrito category!

  • Nathan H.

As stated before by other reviewers, the cheese inside the enchiladas was not completely melted. Otherwise, you receive a lot of good grub for next to nothing. I had the #6 combo - rice, beans, a burrito, and an enchilada. Despite all the food being of pretty average quality, the low price is a huge draw-in.

This is the best mexican food I've ever had in my life! Might I suggest the kids meal, for $2.65 you get a burrito or 2 eggs with rice, beans and a small soda! Also very good are the breakfast burritos (bacon is my personal fav) and the cheese enchiladas are awesome too...heads up, chips don't come with the food but for a dollar you get a huge plate full and they are always hot and yummy (sometimes they need salt). This place is open 24 hours a day and worth any drive you make to come to it!

after reading Shaun M's review I felt compelled to speak up for this wonderful little fast food gem. for starters, I hate fast food. the ingredients rarely taste or look like food. the prices are hardly low enough to justify the poor quality. and the lack of authenticity brings a tear to my eye -- can you imagine the average fast food plate coming out of your kitchen!? no worries, Muchas Gracias is there for picky eaters like myself. it is very authentic Mexican food with reasonable quality ingredients and mystifyingly low prices. sure, it's not health food, Shaun ... have you ever been south of the border? this isn't Japanese food, my friend. especially delightful treats include the carne asada, chicken fajita, and seafood burritos/plates. the kids chicken burrito is a favorite of my son, as is the horchata. I give it 4 stars not because it's the finest Mexican cuisine around, but because this is hard-to-beat drive-through fare. when I'm in a rush, this is where I go.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
