I always feel dirty shopping here. The prices are generally equal to Safeway and Albertson's, but without the clean floors. The only inexpensive items are the ones that you shouldn't be eating. The health/organic food section is severly overpriced. The one saving grace is the cheap ice cream in the front.

Huge store with bulk items and alot of organic shelved items. Poor organic produce selection, poor customer service at the desk when I made a return on bad pears. You shouldn't get attitude as a customer returning a small amount especially when you spent a ton of money which is on the friggin receipt! Bad for business.

This is a place one comes to shop; not for the ambiance. It's pretty much warehouse style. But the food here is quite a bit cheaper than most other local supermarkets, and the quality doesn't suffer. There's a large natural/organic food section in the back. Between there and the produce section one will find a lot of bulk foods. There's even a small section of Samoan foods, a rarity in these parts. The fish section includes exotics such as frog's legs, whole tillapia, octopi, etc.,, as well as salmon and trout. The meat sections often features cuts from cattle raised by 4-H kids. There's an in-store bakery; one can also buy snacks like jo-jos and ice cream cones. And there's a freezer with Mexican paletas (popsicles) - surprisingly tasty are the cucumber-chile ones. This store is on Biddle Road, just south of Highway 62 and near the north Medford I-5 interchange.

I'm always amazed at what I can find at Food 4 Less. It's definitely got that warehouse, budget grocery feel... but they've got an incredible organic/natural foods section near the back of the store and a crazy selection of meats and produce. I don't know how they do it, but I'm a fan. Plus, the employees are unionized- so you can rest easy knowing that the cheap prices aren't coming at the expense of the workers.

Went there once. Never again. Oh, the prices are great, but they were much too crowded for my taste! Not very clean either. Felt like I was in a discount grocery. Oh, I was! When I have a large shopping list I will drive to the other end of town to shop.

I almost feel silly for reviewing a grocery store, but this place is really worth reviewing. My family and I love this place. I don't care much for shopping, but coming here is always an adventure. Growing up we lived about a mile or so from Winco and that's where we shopped, and thought that's where all the good deals are. But 7 years ago we moved about a mile from Food 4 Less and have been coming here at least twice a week, every week.. Only been to Winco a handful of times since. But Food 4 Less is exactly what it is. This place has awesome prices on all different items and when things go on sale, you better stock up cause they're gone in an instant. They have a great organic section, their bakery is awesome, choices are close to unlimited and the meat section is very well known. They are currently renovating the entire store and its looking very, very nice, even though I did love the way it looked beforehand as well. I know a lot of friends that worked here straight out of highschool and they all loved it, some even stayed and are still there. You'll notice familiar faces and realise that (mostly) everyone there enjoys their job. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the customers kinda ruin it for me and every time I come here I'm graced with someone smoking too close to the entrance (where it clearly says NO SMOKING). I do enjoy this place a whole lot!

I have been shopping here for almost 32 years! Locally owned, this store has been in the Valley for a very long time. The owner is very involved in the community and giving back. Not to mention it must be a great place to work because I always see the same faces. Great selection and unbeatable prices! Great organic and natural food selection! It makes it easy for a one stop shop! Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful! I see how people have made comments a out the floors and appearances. Its improving significantly. Just because there is different tile doesnt mean it's dirty. But that doeant matter because its getting updated and looks very nice!! Its definitely as clean as any other store! Definitely my store for grocery shopping!!

I am a daily Food 4 Less customer and a determined comparison shopper. I often find items which are identical to those in Ray's or Albertson's at close to half the price. Yes they do have some items that are of lesser quality but amazingly cheap. Their range of produce is definitely the best around and ,again, much cheaper than anyone else's. Honestly I would like to nominate Sherm Olsrud for sainthood since he clearly makes life much better for those with lesser means. There is nothing like Food 4 Less in Portland, even. Plus, once you get to know them a little the checkers are the friendliest I know of.

Here's the deal: Food for Less is by no means pleasing to the eye. In fact, when you pull up into the parking lot, you may be inclined to turn around because it looks so dated. Inside is not much better, BUT... There are GREAT deals to be had here on bulk items and an ever growing organic section that is the cheapest around. The also have a natural medicine/supplement area with killer deals so it's worth the trip and possibility of bumping into some of "Medford's Finest". The store is huge and you can find pretty much anything here that your heart desires. Most of the meat is purchased locally, often from 4-H farmers, and is cut fresh in the butcher daily. This place is really a diamond in the rough but worth the trip.

Compared to other Food For Less aka California this one looks like a thrift shop but that wouldn't have mattered if it actually good customer service in cashiers ! During evenings at least the worst customer service and I would say you get what you pay for "low prices" but that's no excuse when others provide both low prices and good customer service!

This place always has great deals! It's like Winco basically... But I like this place a little more! They have pretty nice employees, also. The... what, fifteen times I've been here, everybody is always pretty friendly! I also really enjoy getting a treat after I checkout. They have a counter where you can get some ice cream (can't remember if it's Umpqua or Tillamook ice cream...), get popcorn, a hot dog or soda, whatever. Cheap too. It's like going to Costco! Here's the thing though... We all know Medford in the summer is hell, right? They just recently paved the parking lot with the most awful black pavement so it's hotter than hell no matter what you do, so be prepared for that on those 90+ degree days when you want to go to an air conditioned store!

We recently moved to the area and have been trying to find a grocery store that meets our needs. Food for less has organic veggies and large natural/organic food selection along with every day groceries. Prices are mostly reasonable and their selection is excellent. Parking is easy and it's close to the freeway. Bag your own groceries.

If you are looking for a fancy place where it is important to be seen the Food 4 Less isn't for you. If, however, you are looking for consistently great prices on groceries then definitely consider shopping here. Contrary to some of the other reviews that I see here I have always been treated with courtesy; maybe it is because I'm not impatient and looking for an excuse to be negative. In any case, Food 4 Less earned my business and will continue to get it.

One-dollar OJ. (Quart!) 89-cent beef jerky. ($1.25 for the same in California.) Pricey Asian food. =/

I avoid going to this Food 4 Less if I can help it. Their bakery is the only reason I came today. They have a very good bakery. Prices are lower but you sacrifice the customer service. It is probably the worst I have experienced, ever. For example, today, while checking out, the cashier never greeted me but talked to another cashier the entire time about how other places will fire you for making mistakes on a WIC voucher more than once but here you can make a mistake after mistake and never get fired. I can dismiss this as bad service but they continued to complain about the company with no customers while a lady next to me struggled with bagging her purchases. She was in a wheelchair and couldn't reach onto the plarform. They watched as I helped her. I can't believe this store has any customers. I'll continue to avoid it and hope to find another bakery.

Yes, its a bit dated and run down, but I like this place! The prices are reasonable and they have a natural food section. I have had problems with outdated food on the shelf, but I check now and it hasn't been a problem recently. I split my shopping between here and Natural Grocers a few miles away.

Reasonable prices for prepackaged foods; cereal, grains, honey, sausage, bacon, spices Pretty gross produce section though- greasy apples, shriveled up mangos. Be picky, very picky if you choose to buy their fruits or veggies. They have a great organic section (like I said, I only purchase the packaged goods). The Anne's soups are not dirt cheap but better priced than Fred Meyer. I would recommend their oils, almond flour, chips and energy bar supplements to be great selections. Lots to choose from. Make sure you check the "best buy" or "sell by" dates and you're set!

Wow. Finally a food for less than doesn't freak me out. Ok, it freaks me out a little bit. But only because it is so freaking huge that getting lost your first 50 times here is inevitable. Seriously. The place is a maze and I got turned around so many times I thought I would lose it. This is why I spent a considerable amount of time here last weekend just perusing the aisles. I left the boys and home and treated myself to a shopping extravaganza, where I discovered that they carry tons of items that I have not seen elsewhere. for example, the Better Than Bouillon line must be the best in the state. Ham base? Neat! I also love the smell of this store. Whatever they are cooking up in the bakery makes my heart flutter. Too bad I don't care much for sweets. Side note: The store is owned by Sherms, and they have their own cheese line. Please know that although the ingredients in the Sherms cheddar and Bandon cheddar are the same, the Sherms is way weird. It has a slick greasy exterior and the interior is similar to string cheese. It melts normally and tastes fine, but I was so put off by the other factors that I would never buy it again.

This is unlike any Food4Less I have ever been to. The outside looks like it is the first Food4Less ever built. They have an awesome organic and healthy food section. I have found several items that are usually only in over priced hippy health food stores. They have a large selection of organic breads from small local bakeries. I wish every food4less was like this.

Bakery not so great. Got our wedding cake there and it turned everyones teeth blue!!! You'd think a professional baker might mention that to the prospective bride?? Not a chance Ruined the reception and all the photos. I asked for some kind of refund and they blew me off with shrugged shoulders. Thanks for ruining our special day.

If you judge Food 4 Less from its outside appearance, it gives an unimpressive, dirty impression. But to judge from the outside would be a big mistake. I have been shopping here for almost six years. I used to be a Winco patron but no more! This place surprises often with what you will find. They have an impressive natural foods selection with local organic foods and a good selection of produce. Prices are always competitive with Winco and variety is much better. Now the unkempt appearance and dingy-looking interior are part of the charm.
