Great burritos. Use the app to order so you beat the line. They were out of black beans, which is concerning. I've never heard of Burger King running out of meat. The employees were confused with the computer at check out

A-OK... just like it says. It's a food chain, though much tastier (and better for you than say Taco Bell or McD's) it's also a little pricier, but you get a good size burrito too! This location is pretty friendly and has the usual million people long lunch line. I would probably give it four star, cause I love me some chipotle... but the last time we went, they gave us stale chewy chips. We were mostly done with our food when we got to the chewy one, when we brought it up to the register, all they offered were more chips... uhhhh what are we going to do with those at this point. I guess overall I have a hard time with any mexican or taqueria place charging for chips... because most do not. But to charge me for chips and give me stale ones.... ehhhhh I think's not. Other than the chips the food is very tasty. Tasty Tip... even if you don't like hot sauce, at least try the chipotle Tabasco... yum yum!

Non GMO foods and they support non antibiotic saturated meats? Sustainable and employee owned? Delicious and cheap and convenient? Need we say more

I love Chipotle, but this location sucks. The building itself is all concrete and metal and high ceilings which means it is LOUD inside - and it wasn't even that busy. The staff was rude - when my boyfriend tried to order (not knowing the guy in front of us ordered like 6 things) she gave him a dirty look and said she'd take his order when she was done. She was just standing there doing nothing, so there was no way to know she was still working on an order. The food was as expected, but the service and atmosphere were horrible. I won't be back to this location.

When you order a small bag of chips for $1.25, you expect them not to be STALE. But that's what ours turned out to be. More than half of the chips had that chewy texture that no one appreciates. The burritos were fair, but I'd have to say that the chips were a big turn off. For one, this is the only Mexican place that makes you PAY for chips. Coincidentally, it's the only one they've come out stale at. Kind of an awful circumstance that I have to pay for the worst restaurant chips.

Staff is rude and rushes you through. You feel like an inconvenience, and the staff constantly feels like they are panicking... Do not recommend this location.

The seating in this place is a joke and the establishment should be embarrassed. The quality, quantity and heat of the food is great. They move through the line quickly and are a typical Chipotle chain, clean, cheap and quick. Also, to address other reviews, my burriots are always large, its because I like stuff in my burrito. If your picky and order meat, cheese and Idk, lettuce, your burrito will obviously be small. Tacos are good. Kids meals are good and will actually get eaten. Parking sucks. Seating sucks. Especially when people just sit around and chat with no food when its obvious other people, cough, with kids! are waiting for a table - btw, if your that chatting person, your inconsiderate.

Got 3 burritos to go the other night. I was by myself so trying to order 3 by myself was a challenge but I kept them all the same except for 1 different meat and no sour cream. The worker seemed annoyed and even gave me a flyer on how to download their app to make the next time easier. She could have been trying to be helpful but by the way she made me feel, it came across that I was just being a pain. Saw previous posts about the stale chips but bought them anyway, just to be disappointed. Then the 2 of us who ordered the chicken were ill the next day. Don't want to point fingers but won't be going back to this location for awhile.

This place has REAL food, for the price this food is amazing! I would eat hear again, and again, and - you get the picture! It's a little hard to hear so you and the server have to speak up, it can be confused as being rude when they raise their voice but you have to be able to hear them. The seating is very modern and makes me, a modern-futurist, feel at ease; very spacious!

My first to a Chipotles and I will not make it long till my next visit! Fantastic food! I had the carnitas burrito it was bigger than my two fists put together! The flavors were amazing and the fact that they source locally and now are going GMO free... I love this place!! I was taken back when I entered, I for some reason thought they were a sit down style restaurant, no matter the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff really nice. Traveling cross country and will be looking for more Chipotles.

Geesh. It's Chipotle, people! This stuff ain't rocket science. Instead of telling you about the food here, I'll sum it up differently: become consistent in what you serve, even in a shop that is built on "customized" product. Employee changes here are obvious--there are new folks all the time and a seeming lack of management. I know what I want when I come to a place like this, but the portions are so ridiculously inconsistent, I never get what I order. Take a shot at it if you are in desperate need of a fix, but otherwise, there are better places to spend your hard earned money.

Would've gotten 5 stars, but it's always very busy. Gone to this location a ton (work nearby) and have always been treated well and the food is standardly great. Medford needs at least other location to take some pressure off this store. Most of the time during lunch / dinner hours, you'll have to wait outside the doors and work you way inside.

I was there the week it opened. No one had a clue down here. But I knew! Best fast food lunch hands down. I skip the burrito and get the bowl to save some calories. The staff here is attentive and quick. Been here several times and the always move me thru quickly.

My fiance and I went to Chipotle. I got a bowl and he got a burrito, the girl that made them was very stingy like a half scoop of everything we wanted . It was good tasting, but we watched another girl make someone else a burrito and it looked good and filling. We spent almost 20$ and left hungry .

    (2)
  • Marie B.

You know, I've enjoyed coming here for a long time. However, I'm pretty fed up with their inconsistencies! The price of guacamole keeps going up, sometimes you get a scoop full and other times they give you a very small amount. The salsa has more onions than it did before and the chicken is getting way to spicy. Disappointing because this was one of the only "fast food" places I would ever go to because of quality ingredients.

First time eating here. The staff is friendly and fast. Had the barbacoa burrito , good but far too much salt. The noise level drove us to eat outside. Will not be my choice for meals during winter months.

The food at Chipotle is adequate. I do not think I will buy lunch here again, though. I was very disappointed by the customer service today around two in the afternoon. I was treated rudely by the man serving my veggie bowl because I was having difficulties hearing him; he had quite the attitude when I asked if he could repeat himself. If you'd like to pay good money to be treated poorly then this is the establishment for you.

At 2pm on a Sunday it was really busy but the line moved quickly. The bins of food were full and they took our order with ease. Clean both at the table and in the bathroom. Lots of outdoor seating. Tasted better than I remember

This is the worst Chipotle, probably of all time. Every time I go in there I end up regretting it. I went in on this lovely Friday night, there was a line to the door, but I'll wait, I mean it's Chipotle. Still good food. I finally get to the front to order, after patiently waiting, as I see other customers placing orders with no problems. Finally I get to the front to order and the woman says, 'I'm going to start this online order first, just a minute. ' Ok, fine. I'm a patient person, but by the time they completed this huge online order, there was no one else in the food line, a huge line out the door, me in the front looking like it's my fault. So I order two bowls to go, the first employees are asking what kind of beans and rice I want on the bowls, and at the same time the next employee was asking what kind of salsa I want. THREE people all asking me questions at the same time. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ! I told the salsa girl she needs to hold on they aren't finished with the first stuff. So then the salsa girl talks back to me and tells me they have a line out the door they need to hurry. I replied, yeah, I know I've been waiting for a long time. As if it's my fault they have a god damn line out the door. As if it's my fault they did a big online order and ignored ALL the customers actually in the store, not just me. They need to teach their employees to not be so rude to customers, without the customers, you don't have a job. Last time I went the woman asked if I wanted guac and lettuce at the end, I said yes on both, she just put the guac on, started talking to another employee, forgot the lettuce, smashed the to-go lid on my meal and handed it to me. When I told her I wanted lettuce too and maybe some more guac, since it was all over the lid now, and they do charge almost 2 dollars extra, I should be happy, right? She got mad at me, took off the lid shoved on some lettuce and refused more guac. When I asked to speak to a manager, they refused. This Chipotle is always out of food, they are out of the cooked veggies. It's always messy and rarely clean. For how much for a meal here it generally sucks. The food tastes good, but everything else about it is crap. I won't be going back for a long time after these last few times have been consistently dissapointing. You guys really need to get it together, you're worse than an inner city Chipotle.

  • Evan E.

We got in and out pretty quickly even though there was a bit of a line. The first guy in the line was great. He was efficient and seemed genuinely happy to be working. The next guy who was a short stocky guy of Latin decent with a shaved head was an asshole. He seemed like serving customers was beneath him and clearly does not understand customer service. Next time I come I hope he isn't here because he doesn't seem like he will last long anyway.

Medford is well on its way to becoming a full-blown California expat community. Between the Costco, Trader Joe's, and Chipotles, now you don't even need to go back to Cali for fill ups. And besides which, this is a very good Chipotles. So quit yer whinin' and just enjoy it.

I feel a little silly reviewing a chain restaurant, but here goes anyway. I'll preface this by saying having more food options in a place where there aren't many is always a good thing. That said, I'm not sure what exactly the long lines of people queueing up at Chipotle are so enthralled over. Chipotle is pretty mediocre Mexican-style food. Which, of course, isn't exactly surprising considering Chipotle once resided under the McDonald's corporate umbrella. So we visited, and fortunately the line wasn't insanely long. Regardless, there were still plenty of herp-a-derp customers asking the most inane questions and holding up the line ... HERP DERP WHAT'S IN A BURRITO? ... um, I don't know dude, why don't you look at the menu board that's been staring at you for the last 15 minutes? I empathize for the employees, as it was clear they were frustrated and frazzled from having to deal with an ocean of herpy derpy customers. That said, it was clear they were on autopilot as I had to yell at my taco-assembler to not drop the lettuce on the tacos that I told her not to (WHO PUTS LETTUCE ON TACOS? WHAT IS THIS, TACO BELL?). But it's all good. Like I said, if I had to deal with the number of customers they had been, I'm sure I'd be on autopilot myself. So yes, Chipotle. Better Chipotle than nothing at all. Having been to Chipotle before -- and Baja Fresh/Rubio's/Mucho Gusto/blah blah etc. others like it -- I wasn't surprised by anything. And I also wasn't surprised at the fact that they nickel and dime you for everything like guacamole and chips & salsa -- nor was I surprised that it's still ridiculously expensive vis-a-vis the actual taste of their food. Verdict? It's fine. But burritos & tacos for two shouldn't cost you a $20. Do yourself a favor. There are plenty of real Mexican restaurants in Medford, amazingly. And I'm not talking about Si Casa, etc. Do yourself a favor and find a real burrito at a real Mexican food place.

Everything tastes the same - too salty and yet bland at the same time. For this type of fare my go-to place is Mucho Gusto on McAndrews. It may not be as "trendy," but the food is way better and they have fresh mango salsa. All of chipotle's salsas taste the same.

  • Don M.

Worst Chipotle Grill ever. Staff are rude and rush you through the line. Heaven forbid you don't know exactly what you want or even understand the "COMMANDS" they bark at you. Add to this the metal building and the concrete floor make it a huge echo-chamber. Good luck having a conversation inside. And then you get to the food. I've always liked Chipotle Grills, but this one just didnt seem up to speed. All-in-all, PASS. Muchas Gracias is just down the road and is SO VERY MUCH BETTER.

I'm a teacher and I swear eating at this place was no different than eating in the school cafeteria... Food: I'd give it a C. Nothing special, not really fresh nor warm enough, and for $7 I could get a salad next door at Subway that wouldn't give me heartburn. Service: D. There was the guy slopping my food onto the plate like Lunchlady Doris from the Simpsons, and the pissed off teenage girl rolling burritos who hated everything including her job. Cleanliness: D- The grill looked unkempt, the food was not well stocked and the serving line countertops needed wiped down, there was food all over the floor and wasn't a clean table in the place-we picked the least offensive and wiped it down with napkins. However, chipotle did keep me from going into Trader Joe's on an empty stomach and blowing $200. And for that I am thankful.

Now that I can get a Chipotle burrito in town, I feel like southern Oregon is a bit more complete! Service was fast and friendly, and portions were huge. Chips were excellent, as was the guacamole. Despite being a brand new location, they operate as if they have been doing this for years. Opening day was packed, but like the celebrated iPhone/iPad lines, everyone was in very good spirits and excited that Chipotle has finally come to town. A few guests noted that they waited in line for 45 minutes! We placed our order online, paid online, and then walked in to pick up!

I was really excited when I first heard this place was opening up in Medford because I was used to it in California. It was nice to know that I soon would have access to it rather than wait until I traveled into California to satisfy my cravings. My Dad had came into town to visit me, my fiance, and his family. We ordered $60 worth of food. For the most part, we ordered it online so we wouldn't have to wait in line to order so much food. We made sure we were very clear on what we wanted when ordering. I mean, how can you mess up an order that is in print? Needless to say, when we picked up our order and got home... Every single order was WRONG. $60 worth of food and it was WRONG?! NONE of us were happy! Immediately, my fiance called to complain and talk to a manager. When he was talking to a female "manager" they told him they would write his name down and when he came back in again, the meal would be on them. Right... there was no female manager and there never has been! He was livid. So not only are they messing up a $60 order BUT they have employees posing as managers when they aren't? Great staff they have! Recently, my fiance and I went back a couple of times for dinners and have not been happy with the service. The employees rush you through the line (and make your orders very sloppy) when nobody is behind you AND they have extremely snotty attitudes. If you're having that bad of a day... GO HOME! If you hate your job that much... QUIT! This place is a JOKE. Seriously! If you want to get good reviews on here... The least you could do is train your staff better! Learn some manners and quit being rude to customers who just want to enjoy a delicious meal! We will NOT be returning here and neither will our family members. I can hold out on my cravings until I am in California again or until they get better/nicer employees.

Best Chipotle I have every been to. The management is great and this reflects on the employees. The portions are very large. Being a huge Chipotle fan, I have been to their restaurants all over, and the Medford restaurant is top notch. Carnitas burrito bowl for the win!

I don't know where all these negative comments comes from! Service: 4/5 The people working there are awesome. Everyone has bad days, and they will be as nice to you as you are to them. The manager is an awesome dude too, he always is saying "what's up", "how's it going" to me, and my family! Food: 5/5 Burritos are big enough guys... If you want to feel like you just ate a brick, and wanna be sick the rest of the day, goto Muchas Gracias or Si Casa. For $6.25, you can get a burrito with as MUCH BEANS, RICE AND VEGETABLES AS YOU WANT. Of course meat will be extra, but the burritos are really a good buy. Location: 5/5 Pretty much right off the freeway. Price: 4/5 Normal-generic prices for the food. I wish extra chicken wasn't almost two dollars, but for 4 ounces of natural chicken, can't really beat it. Guacamole is spendy too. Overall: 5/5

My husband & I went there for the first time & It may be the last. The food was good but WAY TOO expensive. I got a Bowl & he got a burrito (I've seen bigger) chips & salsa, (extra charge) & drink & it was $18. The atmosphere was really loud too. Not super impressed.

Tried out the newest Mexican place in town. For a Sunday night, it still had long lines, but that's to be expected when a new restaurant opens in Medford. It gave me time to explore the menu options (and calories). Food is prepared in assembly line fashion from minimal choices. Some of the crew were speedy and efficient, others were more methodical. The food was good, but nothing special. I did like that I could have my burrito in a bowl rather than wasting calories on a tortilla. The carnitas were moist and flavorful, but the chicken was overcooked, dry and even a bit crunchy. Rice was bland, but both the hot and medium salsas made up for that, very flavorful. Prices were a bit steep for a quick serve Mexican restaurant, $19 for 2 with small drinks and no chips. The biggest strikes against Chipotle are the decor and location. The decor is very stark and bare and the seating is uncomfortable. I felt like I was sitting in a school cafeteria, including the terrible echo chamber caused by the open ceiling which made everything very loud. The location in the new Trader Joe's center is difficult to get in and out of due to the traffic flow design and cramped parking lot (of course this is not Chipotle's fault). I big plus is their online ordering and iPhone app ordering, that I need to try out. If I'm shopping at Trader Joes, I would probably eat here again when the crowds die down, but probably won't seek it out.

I bought a burrito here and it was not your average Chipotle burrito,It was about the size of a baked potato! I ask the manager if he had ever been to a real chipotle restaurant where they make the burritos so big its a three course meal(its what they are known for,fat burritos!).He replied If you want it bigger let the person know making your burrito that you want it bigger, this asshole is obviously not familiar with how shit works at other chipotle restaurants and should be terminated immediately. Most chipotles have a line out the door at lunch and dinner time and this one did too, when it first opened...Now you can easily walk in here and grab yourself a nice overpriced and under portioned meal.

BURRITO BUSTERS!!! I have traveled to Medford for work several times. Each time I have witnessed a worker whilst in front of management bust a burrito wide open while wrapping it. Instead of redoing the burrito, they offer to double wrap it. Yes that's exactly what the customer wants, 500 more calories and to chew for 10 minutes before actually the substance of the burrito. Poorly managed, messy and horrible. By the way, I appreciate paying 1.90 extra for a half spoonful of guac. I wish I had 8 arms so I could give this place 8 thumbs down. The nerve. ....

  • Krista L.

I wanted to give this Chipotle a fair chance but every time I go, the amount of food becomes less and the staff frustrates me even more. They are rushed (I was the only person in line), often rude and filled my bowl about half full. When I asked for more lettuce because she put almost none on, she sarcastically said "of course, anything you want" and added a very small pinch to the top. The burrito I got for my brother was about half the size of a normal Chipotle burrito. Instead of improving their performance, the management has shown they care more about money than customer service or their food.

I really really wanted to like this place. Having recently moved from San Francisco I was thrilled that a Chipotle had opened up here in Southern Oregon. Although the food might not be considered "authentic" there's nothing wrong with taqueria-style cheap relatively local/organic mexican food. The problems lie in the execution of the place. Every other Chipotle I have ever been to, it is possible to get your food quickly and efficiently. This is a fast food restaurant. Although the atmosphere isn't terrible, people aren't coming for the ambiance. They are coming on their 23.5 minute lunch break to grab some not entirely terrible food. However you can expect to wait a good 20 minutes in line. The crew members seem to have the same attitude as Dutch Bros, they are all young and attractive but actually have no idea what on earth they are doing. I have to repeat myself two or three times, I have had incorrectly made burritos, and it just takes them forever. You can gaze into their eyes and see quite clearly they actually have no idea what they are doing and no intentions to get you your food in any sort of speed. Guys, it's not rocket science, and to give them credit most customers just sit there gawking at the menu and have no idea what they actually want. It really appears as though the management doesn't care about the Chipotle regulars and only seeks to be the "shiny new cool restaurant". Well, that ain't gonna last, and if service doesn't improve I'm saying "vete a la mierda" and becoming a Mucho Gusto regular.

This is like every other Chipotle, and that's why we like it. You can get a huge amount if you know how to order. Good Food, Nothing super spectacular but if you want a fast food/ healthy/ quick burrito you'll like it

I had the privilege of having the first burrito from this particular Chipotle, and i have am happy to report that the staff was operating with machine like efficiency. I had to wait very little for my perfect burrito, I'll definately be back. P.S. get the Guac!

So happy to finally see Chipotle come to the valley. Their ingredients are consistent with every other one we have tried but their service does need a bit of work still. They aren't great at building and rolling burritos yet and no one seems to be very friendly. They always seem a bit confused or bored when we go in but I'm sure with time they will work it out. Can't beat all the fresh ingredients and great flavors!

I had never been to a Chipotle restaurant before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I must say the life like robotics of the staff are amazing! What I have come to demand is customer service and this place has NONE. Although it says on their receipt, "Gourmet without the attitude", I felt nothing but attitude as I was rushed through their process (because there wasn't a line). I have spent most of my working career in the restaurant business because I love it and it was clear that there wasn't one person there who loved what they were doing or even had an ounce of passion behind what they represented. I got the Salad, which I had no idea how much it would cost from the menu (better to keep me guessing), and I got it to go. Upon arriving at my destination I had no fork to eat with and no napkins. I guess I was supposed to get that myself so, mah bad! Pretty bad form for the manager to be discussing the girls' break while she was rushing me through the salsa choices as well, just sayin'. Won't know if it improves with time because I won't be going back.

Excellent food and excellent service! I've eaten at Chipotle in various cities and they are doing it right in Medford. Love that rice and the carnitas are to die for. The BEST part? Feeling good about patronizing a company that endorses small scale, antibiotic free, livestock farming. Their mission statement calls for the use of free-range, hormone-free meat and dairy, and local produce whenever possible. Yes, there can be growing pains when opening a new restaurant...I feel it's worth the wait and dealing with "soda splashes and a sticky floor" to support a company who operates with ethics! One reviewer stated "You can get a lot more for the money at Taco Bell" (shudder...I can't even begin to comprehend that statement). Chipotle's HIGH QUALITY food might be slightly higher than the average Mexican meal...in Medford. However, if you educate yourself you'll see what ALLLL that "Taco Bell" ultimately costs your health, your wallet, the humane treatment of animals, the environment, small scale farmers, the list goes on. So glad Chipotle has arrived - I'll be eating there often and will feel great about it!

The manager here is an asshole while interviewing at the Grand opening he said I might be able to be a dishwasher. As a person I thought this guy's an ass. He said smile more. Then told me didn't care about customers. He said my employees are what I care about not some unhappy customer. Then started bragging about how much only he makes and he's so young. Good food. Short burritos. Not like all other Chipotles

I like Chipotle but found this particular one to be rather mediocre. The food tasted bland and the tables were messy. The line was long and it took forever to get through. They haven't dialed it in yet in Medford.

I was excited to try Chipotle as I've heard good things and lots of people had said they were better than Mucho Gusto (which I like). Extremely long lines but I chalk that up to being brand new and in the same center as Trader Joe's. The line moved pretty quickly though. By the time I reached the counter they had run out of some basic things like whie rice and pinto beans. I could tell they were working on making and bringing more, but timing was off. The prices are pretty good, but I think it's ridiculous to pay extra for chips and salsa (included at MG). And the whole thing with putting the chips in a paper bag is a pain plus not environmentally friendly. So the burrito was good. Definitely a different flavor than MG but I was disappointed that whole wheat tortillas aren't an option, particularly given their nod to trying to be more healthy. I wouldn't avoid the place, but nothing I'm dying to go back to.
