This was the first time we've been to China Hut. We got a dinner for 2 and there was so much food left over. We both enjoyed the clam chowder. I have never found one place serving clam chowder not on the coast that was beyond good to this evening. That clam chowder was amazing. The egg rolls were super crispy and not greasy at all. Everything was so good. I've been to so many Chinese restaurants I get tired of it. But this place was ever so good, I could go back several times a week. Everything is homemade and fresh. This is one place I will be going back to. I really enjoyed the food. The waitress was coming to our take multiple times to bring fid. I felt like it was a never ending supply of food. She was very nice and wanting to make sure everything was just right. This is one place I will be taking my friends to and enjoying myself.

The waitresses are always nice and professional, but they sometimes have inappropriate conversations around the guests. They always give you huge portions, but I've noticed their prices keep increasing. A dollar extra for chicken fried rice. That's ridiculous as some people are allergic to pork. It was also very very salty for my liking but the egg roll and orange chicken was still delicious.

Upon entering a little girl saw me and started calling her mom. And the hostess or waitress came out from one of the booths. She was very nice and seated me. I waited over 8 minutes to get my order taken. The waitress was very nice. Not a lot of people here at the time I got here 1:30 pm. Got my order in and now just waiting to see how it's gonna turn out. I'm starving too. I noticed they haven't gotten any new silverware which they need badly. The place has never been renovated or updated in any way. Got my order and it taste good no complaints. Everything tasted fresh. If you're in a hurry don't expect to get out here fast. Just sit back and enjoy.

Ate there about a week ago for a family dinner. Ended up with the worst food poisoning ever. Stay away from this place. The smell inside alone will tell you it's not a clean place to eat.

I think the China Hut is awesome. I love the egg rolls and I've never been able to find similar ones anywhere else. I also think the pork fried rice is really good. You can order all white meat chicken when you get most dishes for an extra dollar so that makes me happy as well. The servings are huge and there is always enough for lunch the next day. The foil wrapped chicken is yummy too, interesting but yummy. The Almond chicken is delicious also!

The downfall for this place is the smell and the service. Since Oregon has banned smoking in public areas, you can smell how bad it is in there. As far as service...horrible! Rude, impolite, disrespectful waitresses who only come around when they want to or when you wave them down. Besides all of that, the food is decent. But, I can't get over how it smells in there... it throws everything off.

This is our families favorite american chinese food restaurant. The service is always super fast, friendly, and attentive. They don't use any food coloring, or MSG. The food tastes fresh, and hot. The oil is clean. They have the best basic cocktails in the valley. The food is always tasty. Great place to bring the kids.

If you like the taste of Freezer Burned Microwaved American Chinese Food, go here. Have eaten at both Grants Pass and Medford locations..not by choice. Just Plain Nasty. I complained about the House Special Fried Rice having no flavor. The skragelly haired fry cook came out with an attitude. He re-made the rice. Way over spiced and inedible. Can't anyone in this valley make decent Chinese Food. Well, back to eating Chinese at home as in the new PF Changs frozen meals a solid 7 1/2 on a 10 scale. This place, only go if there is a natural disaster and you have to get something to eat. Oh ya, the tea was OK, but the fortune cookies were stale.

Seriously the worst chinese food I've ever had in my life. Most of the dishes felt like they'd been prepared a week before, frozen, reheated, re-frozen, re-re-heated, and served. The chicken could have been a deadly weapon it was so hard. The egg roll had more grease than a Chinese restaurant grease trap...oh, wait. Nothing had any flavor. Greasy, flavorless, disgusting. Again, I repeat, the WORST Chinese meal I'eve ever had in my life.

We looked for take-out food with delivery. I ordered Szechuan Chicken and they delivered General Tso's. We ordered one Egg Flour soup, but got three (charged for one). According to the phone book ad, the Chicken comes with Egg Rolls and Fried Rice for $9.75, but our bill had this as three items. All that might have been forgivable with good quality food, but only the soup was good. The rest was bland and greasy.

We just flew in, and this was one of the only restaurants open on a Sunday night. Despite the Chinese being spoken loudly in the back, when we Asked for recommendations for authentic food, our waiter suggested the most Americanized dishes possible immediately. We settled for standard fair that we generally find tolerable at places like this, but even that was bad. Don't plan on coming back.

This was our last day in Medford, and we felt like some Chinese food. China hut was only two blocks away from our hotel. So my husband and I went there for dinner. After being sitted, I saw our waittress looked Asian, so I started to talk Chinese to the waittress. The waitress said she did not know Chinese, and no one in the restaurant was able to speak Chinese. I was surprised, but still tried to be optimistic. We ordered our usual dishes. It took them over 30 minutes to serve the food, and my dish was so burned that it was not eatable at all. And the dish my husband got tasted worse than Panda express. He was only able to finish half of his dish, and I only had one bite of mine. When the waitress came to give us the bill, we told her that mine was too burned. She replied: "Oh, that is too bad." That was it. She did not offer to redo my dish, nor did she offer to take it off my bill. We were very disappointed, paid the bill, and left as soon as we could. We for sure will not go back there. We also want to share our experience in case the owner cares to read yelp. There is a lot to improve for this restaurant.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
