Just can't find a better place to enjoy lunch either inside our outside on their beautiful patio. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. The menu is exceptional with lots of choices and it's obvious that each plate is prepared individually and with care to present a pleasing eye appeal. The flavor of each dish is exceptional. Service is extrodinary with extra detail and attention given to each person at the table. Always friendly service and appreciate the fact you choose to dine there. You will never leave unsatisfied.

Great main entrees, poor quality desserts, nice atmosphere, marginal service (server was not very professional and at the same standard as the quality of the entree)

I go here at least once a month for a spectacular lunch. I usually get the raspberry chicken salad or the California BLT croissant. Yum! Definitely worth stopping in but I suggest making a reservation first to be assured a seat.

Cafe Dejeneur is wonderful. Very good food and service for a fair price. Deedee was delightful and the chef, PJ (formerly of 38 Central, which I loved) made me so happy. I had the filet, which was tender, delicious and seasoned perfectly. I will be back many times.

Service was great. But the food was average. One of our meals was cold and the rest lacked flavor.

Great food and sweet old server. This was a great place off the beaten path to grab a lunch with my fiance.

Had lunch here as this cafe came highly recommended from a customer. The cabbage & ham soup was phenom! Delicious and rich and chunks of tasty ham. I also had the cajun chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and had quite a bit of flavor from the cajun spices. The service was fine. The prices were reasonable. The cafe is quaint and charming. I would give it an additional 1/2 star if I could. All in all a lovely lunch.

My wife had taken me there for a special Birthday lunch. First time we had been there, will not ever go back. Service was apathetic at best, more like disdainful. When we first go there not too busy, but apparently too much for staff. Then the waitress was much more interested in serving and chatting with friends than giving us even a modicum of attention. When food finally did arrive it was lukewarm (soup) and not very tasty. We left very unhappy and dissatisfied. A week later I decided to speak with owner about the problems. His response, "clearly a well practiced recording", "I have never heard this before, that waitress is one of my best. I hope you give us a try again". No apology, no offer, no nothing. His lack of accountability and leadership is very evident by the highly overrrated food and very poor quality of service and attitude of staff. And, overpriced as well. You will get far better food and service at many other restaurants. You have been warned.

I love the atmosphere here! The restaurant is out of an old house (not the Bob Vila kind) which is very rare outside of nearby Ashland, OR. It was nice to get a taste of Ashland in very right wing Medford. As for the food, it was pretty good. The ingredents were fresh, the prices were decent and the service was excellent. Just watch out for the flies on the back porch because they're everywhere! They need to do something about that. But, don't let this preterb you from taking a trip here.

I've been here a few times, food is always good, but service has been spotty. First time, wonderful service, next few times, pretty good. Last time, not great at all. Got the impression the server wanted us to leave. Yes it was near the end of the lunch hour but they should have declined to seat us if they didn't want to hang around and serve us. The food has always been good and sometimes better than good, but slightly inconsistent. I wish I could rave about this place, but can't.

I eat here for lunch at least once a month and always enjoy. Of course I always order the same thing so I can't say that everything on the menu is fantastic. I do enjoy what I order and that is the Greek Salad. I love the variety of items included in the salad including asparagus, greek olives, hard boiled eggs and great romaine lettuce. The garlic toast is the best. Love eating on the patio in the summer.

Nothing special. Ordered "starters" for my meal. The almond, squash, spinach spring rolls were greasy and dungeness crab cakes were flavorless and greasy. I also got the cesear salad that was overwhelmed with anchovy. This was my second meal and the best part is the service.

Amazing food! Amazing staff! Amazing atmosphere! Great place to take clients for lunch or a romantic dinner outside under the star. The food is fresh with great presentation. I love the restoration of an old house with the addition of a very friendly laid staff. They have great catering also! It's a must if visiting Medford.

The chef has left and his replacement is still cooking the old menu. I started out with a pork and cabbage soup which turned out to be the high point of the meal. I ordered the chippino, served over a too thin pasta, probably spagettini. The two shrimp, two scallops and two small bits of halibut were nicely cooked but the sauce was a weak melange of onion and tomato. In fact the only thing chiappino about this dish was the name on the menu And the waiter had no idea about wine service. We ordered a $30+ bottle. No taste was offered before the glasses were overfilled. From then on we were left to pour our own wine. Maybe when the new chef puts his own menu forward and someone trains the waitstaff things will get better.

I ate here last night with a friend. The location is an old home that has been converted and parking is limited, but it is also a small quiet restaurant. This is the typical hole in the wall that I look for in a restaurant. The appetizer we chose was the dungeness crab cakes and there were three on the platter and these were mostly crab and fried to perfection. The cakes came with a ??lemon beurre blanc sauce that really was BLANK of flavor. It needed lots more lemon and spice - none at all. Tabasco would have helped, or cayenne pepper. The house salad presentation was excellent and the taste and freshness were outstanding - highly recommended, we did not try the soup. Cracked pepper was proffered by the waitress/hostess - the same person filled both roles. As the main course we both had the steak au poivre. One was medium rare and cooked properly, the other was supposed to be medium and was medium rare. the steaks were not pepper crusted, and I had to ask for cracked black pepper, again there was little seasoning in the au poivre sauce and certainly no pepper bite as expected. The sides included mashed potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were creamy and again had no seasoning. The asparagus was cooked properly. Dessert was offered afterward but we declined. Service by the waitress was good and the time to receive our various courses was good. Overall it was acceptable but does not stand up to the prices on the menu. I will likely try the restaurant again and order other items, as everyone is entitled to a bad day once in a while.

This is my favorite restaurant to entertain clients and friends. Stellar service!!!!!!!!! The food is wonderful and reasonably priced, but I always return because of the service.

A lovely restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Small with a friendly, intimate atmosphere where you can enjoy your friends or business colleagues. Daily specials add variety to a varied menu that offers both small to full-course selections. And when weather permits, sitting outside on their deck where you can hear the wind gently blowing through the trees and the water fountain is just the best. Service is very friendly. I almost always bump into someone I know. This is one of my favorite places to go. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
