The idea of girls and boys skating to and fro executing figure skating jumps whilst carrying a tray to parked cars of slushies, tator tots and...wait... Asiago Chicken Cesar Sandwiches..? Would that be Pressato or Stravecchio Asiago ? I'm a taste tripper, but even with my limited experience with Sonic, I'm not trying that sober. I'm taking the drive through staring straight ahead and avoiding any contact with potential speed jumpers in the car hop area. The poor lady in the squawk box had to greet me a particular way and mention that they had their happy hour going and did I want to try... O M G. Can we please make a constitutional amendment about suggestive sales? They let you process your own credit or debit card without really speaking to anyone, which with my anthropophobia, is a very good thing. Instead of taking something safe like a burger & tots, I thought, why not be a least a little adventuresome? "Feel free to pull the breakfast for dinner switcheroo if the mood strikes" the menu taunts. OK. I opted for the Breakfast Zesty Cheese steak and Smokey Chipotle Burrito. That was an odd experience I hope never to repeat. First bite: well, I like the different textures and that the tortilla did not stick to the roof of my mouth like many in fast-food-land. It was only in studying the menu to write this did I catch that the weird brownish stuff was cheese steak. The crunchy stuff? First I thought it was pickle which I thought an odd item. It was pickled jalapeño which would not hurt a house fly; more ño than jal . They squirted cheese stuff that Taco Bell made famous in this, too. Finally, the secret ingredient that Sonic is known for, tots. I'm sure that smoky chipotle thing was in there, but even the hot sauce could not bring a flame to this dish. We snicker about other country's weird fast food fashions. But only in America and particularly Shawnee, Oklahoma could a combination like this make it to a menu. Pass at 60 mph.

What happened to Sonic. Last 2 times I went service was horrible and food was cold. Waited over 20 minutes in line. Finally got to the window and they took at least 10 minutes with my debit card. When I got my food it was cold again. Yes the lady at the window did say Thank you but not sorry for the wait. I like some of their food but not that much for cold food and a 30 minute wait.

  • Dan V.

I go there frequently for happy hour (2-5pm every day) to get a flavored soda or slush. The service is a little inconsistent, there are some employees who I see a lot and do a great job greeting you with a smile, but sometimes it seems like they're overshadowed by others providing poor service. Granted, many of them are teens, so that should be expected to an extent.

Why do I like Sonic? I don't eat their burgers. I don't eat their fries. But I do order their Diet Cherry Limeade which is fabulous! We also love the throwback drive in atmosphere. And yes they have happy hour -- 1/2 off all drinks from 2-4 daily. Doesn't get much better than that!

I finally had a chance to return after speaking with the reps for the franchise. She listened and asked me to stop by to witness the corrections to my original concerns, mainly the blaring music and having to repeat my order several times to get it right. The music was at a decent level, the order was taken without issue and the speed to service was outstanding. I went during happy hour and the joint was jumping. I will come back again with the family in tow and will give them credit where credit is due. They were able to make a correction and own up to a mistake, but took it to heart and make the change rather than just lip service.

First time at a Sonic and it was good. I liked the idea of having your own menu and ordering station. The drive-inn aspect is a great throwback. The food is what you would expect. They have a great selection of drinks and you can add a variety of additional flavors to any drink you order. Its not healthy by any means, but its a great once and a while treat for sure.

Every year while visiting family in Beaverton the younger generation will sneak out and late at night or during happy hour and get our grub on! Before they opened a Sonics in Los Angeles this was one place I looked forward to since Oregon is green & beautiful but there isn't much to do! My sinful treats include the chili cheese tater tots, ched-r-peppers, and the fudge or banana cream pie shake. This year they changed the menu and took off the banana cream pie. I tried the strawberry cream chiller and I believe I have a new favorite. Its not as thick as a strawberry shake and has a sweeter-creamy taste. Mmm... salivating now! Oh and the strawberry lemonade chiller is a lot better than McDonald's. :D They have the New York Dog, Coney, Chicago and Chili cheese dogs which are also passable when craving something that is probably not good for you. I think I ordered a chicken sandwich once in a try to be healthy, but it was junk anyways. I don't think I've ever had their burgers. Come for the sweet treats and fried menu items, but don't expect your waist line to get any smaller.

Once in a while I see those Sonic Drive In commercials on TV & I think, Why do they have to tease you? when its like a 185 mile drive from SEATTLE, WA..... I drove 179.58 miles from WA, where I live just to visit this place. It almost felt like I was in a movie similar to Harold & Kumar's White Castle Movie. True Story =D Anyways I enjoyed my first ever visit to this place. The Seattle Super Sonics can leave but they do need to replace them with a Sonic Drive-In in Washington State. 5 stars for No-TAX in Oregon, & for making my day filled with Goodies =D

Oh Sonic, my Sonic, how my stomach longs for thee! From the cream slush down to the french fry-ee's! Every time I visit its like a party I can sit in my car and you come to me! Oh Sonic, my Sonic, you make me smile especially when you go the ex-tr-a mile like adding more cherry in my soda pop every time I drive by I just have to stop! Oh Sonic, my Sonic, your price is so right I never have to frown, never to fight When I get my meal it's such a delight compliments galore I just have to write! Oh Sonic, my Sonic, time to say goodnight But I know you'll be open 'til at least midnight Until then I'll dream of your treats then come back again to repeat!

Since I was little I have seen the commercials for Sonic and thought -- why do they do that? There aren't any within a days drive of here.. Then I moved to Portland and someone told me a Sonic was within driving distance and it wouldn't be as long as that crazy astronaut who wore depends to kill her lover..she made a long trek for that and probably didn't even stop for a cherry limeade on the way.. I digress -- we drove out and sat outside...never been to a place where you ordered through a sign and/or sat in your car. I had the pleasure of giving a fake name -Rowena -- it has a good ring to it. The food really wasn't good. I got tater tots which were pretty tasty but the chicken sandwich I tried was just plain. I got a cherry limeade which was delish but I was very disappointed by the cookie dough blast! What blast!? There were 3 pieces of cookie dough on top and the rest was just soft serve ice cream... Maybe I should try again.. but for now when I see the commercials I just get sad -- not because its so far away but because its just not that good.

Burgers are so-so. Reminds me of Wendy's. Hot dogs are good, as are the sides. The best things are their drinks and desserts. Great place to drive thru after a long day of work.

Sonic shows commercials where there isn't one of the restaurants on purpose. Well, they got me excited that I could actually go to one. Sure worked for me! The funniest thing was someone coming up to the car with condiments. Just in case one of us needed a spoon or something, ya know. Very useful though. I stuck with the basics: SuperSonic Cheeseburger and tots. The burger was decent enough for fast food but a bit expensive. The tots were nice, of course. The best part was sharing a "Sticky Bun Dough Blast"- too bad it's a limited edition item because it was the best part of the meal. I shall return to try another shake or maybe something more fried.

Disappointment. I read the reviews. I tried really hard not to be excited. I didn't order the cheesecake bites or the onion rings or the burger. But still... disappointment. So, I've been wanting to go here since I saw they were building this place... and honestly, even before that - thanks to their ridiculous commercials. Anyway, we decided to eat here on an unexpectedly sunny Sunday afternoon in October and I was super hungry! We ordered: - chili cheese coney dogs (extra long for Sam, regular for me), - tater tots (with cheese), - Ched-R peppers (jalapeno poppers filled with cheddar cheese - as they should be! - no cream cheese poppers for me, thanks), - coke with lemons (they're fresh!) for me, - and a large banana pudding shake (love those 'Nilla wafers on top!) for Sam. Sounds good, right? Well, not so much. The hot dogs were skinny and the chili seemed trans-fatty (according to trans-fat-averse Sam)... the actual melted cheese instead of cheese sauce was nice, though. So, the coney dogs tasted not so great (can't hold a candle to A&W even). The tots came without cheese, but were still yummy! The poppers and coke were also nice. The coke was especially nice and lemon-y. Sam said the shake was not good - ice bits were in there... sad. He suspects the shakes come from a machine. He recommended against me getting a shake or blizzard-type thing for dessert. So, I'd go back for the tots, poppers and coke. The ranch dipping sauce was also passable. Maybe I'll branch out and try other beverages with fresh limes or fresh lemons - but no cherries for me, thanks. Also, the slushes might be nice on a warmer day. Cherry limeade still calls to me because everyone seems to love it, but I'll have to work up to it, I think. The service was quick and the servers were nice, but nothing overly special. (Where's the roller skates?) I was intrigued by the condiment tray, but it came around too late to be of any use. (To be fair, our server did offer to bring out condiments when they brought the food... she just didn't mention they had a large round tray with a huge array of sauce packets and dipping containers.) The "patio" area was fun with outdoor heaters to keep us warm. (It did get a bit hot for Sam as the afternoon sun slanted into the area.) It was fun to see who else was sitting in the seating area - a large extended family, two 'tween (ha!) girls on bicycles, three high school boys, a group of twenty-somethings with a chocolate lab and another family as we were leaving. It was fun... but not the deliciousness I'd hoped to experience. It wasn't even passable drive-in fare. Oh, and I was still hungry after that, but rather than risk getting more meh food, we went through the drive thru next door at the A&W-KFC combo restaurant where I got a KFC snacker and cheese curds at ate it at a nearby park. (Snacker = bad; curds = delish!)

Eek Methinks not is RIGHT! NO STARS!!!!!!!!!!! The whole drive in bit is cute but you come for the food damnit. Not some cutesy crap. My burger was garbage.. a Mcdonald's hamburger or Burger King is better to tell you the truth. Actually there's a Del Taco across the way.. their burger is way better. I'm sorry but it's true. The cheesecake bites I was excited for but no. It's not as magical as you might fantasize in your head from the commercial. The crust part is just too much and has a funky texture and taste to it. It's just disgusting. But if you must try.. go ahead and you'll think of my disdain and disappointment for them. The only redeeming qualities were the hotdog, tator tots and beverages.. but who the hell screws a hotdog, tator tots and beverages up? Mmmm cherry limeade. So no people, don't believe the hype. This isn't dream worthy fast food. Artic Circle and In n Out is.. but not this. Bravo to their marketing team.. the brainwashing to lure you in is effective. Overrated.

How to facepalm: You're at some shin-dig, it's 3am, you're hungry, don't know of any decent place nearby that's open at this hour, and in strolls a friend with Sonic food AND IT SMELLS GREAT. You're like "good god, may i have one of your onion rings?" "sure" he replies and hands one over. This is followed with your brain screaming "HOLY CRAP. THAT DELICIOUS SMELL I SMELL AT COUNTY FAIRS BUT NEVER FIND OUT WHAT FOOD IT GOES TO!! THIS IS IT!!! SONIC ONION RINGS!!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE, we must leave... at once. ARMS. LEGS. MAKE US STAND UP." In a flurry of excitement you drunkenly pick up your keys and zip over to Sonic's, sit at the drive in for five minutes before growing impatient then realizing you have to hit the "press button to order" button, and scream at the radio box "ONION RINGS!! NOW!! LARGE! and soda." Eating an onion ring ensues Supply and Demand on abrupt and violent scale-- you have one and MMMMMMMMM for a minute, have another one and it's MM.mm .... and by the third you're like "dammit... these are gross, and i feel disgusting... and i'm out five bucks.." Then you see WinCo, the epic grocery store that's got everything, which is also open 24 hours. Put face in palm at this realization that you could've done better than Sonic's. Facepalm.

Love this place and their onion rings are the best! My family and I try to go there when ever we are close! Love the Chocolate-Cherry Coke to wash those onion rings down with. The only criticism I would have is the bathrooms are sometimes not clean and the garbage calls always seem to be overflowing making it hard to throw your garbage away as you leave. But, the food rocks, so I can look past those little things! (Build on closer to downtown Beaverton or in Tigard would be great!)

Ok, I used to CRAVE Sonic! When this place first opened my husband and I would constantly drive over to Sonic at all hours of the night and day to sink our teeth into their breakfast burritos filled with peppers, egg, cheese and sausage! They were warm and gooey with all the cheese! The peppers had just the right amount of zip! We were addicted! It was like cocaine rolled in a tortilla. We couldn't get enough! We left town for a month, the whole time thinking about those damn burritos! Oh, how badly we couldn't wait to return home to get our beloved burrito! The moment arrived! We came home, literally threw our crap down in the house and hauled butt cheeks on down to Sonic! We ordered, drooled while waiting and came close to hyperventilating as we tore open the wrapper! I took a bite, OMG......took a 2nd bite HEAVEN....went to take a 3rd bite and happened to glance down as I did so.....only to whip my head back in horror....there....implanted....in my egg....was a hair with a white knob on the end! *PUKES* A short, coarse hair with a white knob could only come from the following habitats: Obviously pubic Eyelash Eyebrow Male facial hair-Unless a large woman with a hormonal disorder made my burrito From that moment on, Sonic and I broke up. I ditched the unsanitary jerk. Sorry. It's been a year or more and I just can't ever go back. Forever more I shall wonder where that little hair fell from. I refuse to believe it was from the nether regions, but you never know!

Maybe it was because i went there at 10:30 and they close at 11, or maybe I didn't order the right thing? Either way, I was disappointed to say the least. I've been to other sonics and they were actually good. I would of preferred any fast food place over this place tonight.

I am scarred for life. I got the worst case of food poisoning here, enough not to return. I had a orange cream drink and some jalapeno poppers. Sure it tasted good then, but come 6 hours later it was the worst feeling I ever experienced.

I've seen all these commercials about Sonic and had never been to one. So when I saw this one I went to it. I ordered a corn dog, fried Mac&cheese appetizers, and a cranberry lime drink. When it came to the car hop spot I had to help the car hop make change for a $20 on a $4.88 order, she wanted to give me two five and change. The corn dog didn't have any condimints, but drink was very good. So not condiments, no napkins and the stuff is delivered just like as if you went thru a drive thru. Not sure I see what all the hype is about. Although the drink was very good, maybe I'll just go back for the drinks.

I am also a Washington State resident, that gets teased by all of those sonic commericals. Anyways, We drove down just to get some route 66 cherry lime-aid. It is the drink the gods! Also the coney-style hot dog was yummy, as was, the banana cream pie milkshake. The Jalapeno Burger was very spicy. OH and the fry sauce rocks.

I was floored when I found Sonic had come to Portland (metro). The one thing I regretted leaving in Arizona was here...life was complete. Many memories were created at the drive-ups of those oasis and leaving was difficult...the cravings were hard to beat. Slushes, foot-long Coney's and tater-tots. A simple recipe for happiness. Burgers are fair to middlin', slightly above fast food standard as is most of the menu. The gripe I have is that it is more expensive than most joints, but for me it's more about memories.

  • Joe K.

Best Onion Rings among the fast food joints along Cornell. After having visited Buger King, Carl's Jr, Jack in the Box, and Sonic, these are the best rings. Tastes like sweet onions, they don't fall apart with just a bite. Carl's Jr on 185th are the worst rings. Overcooked and crumbly. Jonny, let me know the next time you're coming over for a slush.

Not only regular car hop service, but also condiment / napkin service!! Very clean and easy to find. As others have stated... well worth the drive from Seattle. There are some old favorites that are missing from this version... but the fried macaroni & cheese almost made up for it!

Worst Chicken sandwiches and fries I've had in a long time. I like that their sodas have those little ice pellets in them but totally not worth it when all their food tastes so cheap and bad.

The Portland area now has almost no reason to leave because a Sonic has finally opened in Hillsboro. I experienced Sonic in Texas on a business trip based on my man's recommendation (and flew home with a few Coney's for him, too), then found one on a road trip through Boise, then Salt Lake City, and finally even on a trip to Reno, but I never thought there would be a day when I could drive less than many, many hours to reunite with all that is chili cheese heaven. And then it happened late in 2006. After driving out on weekends sometimes to see the progress of the building, one day there were cars lined up forever, and it was finally open. I went about 3 times that week. An Extra Long Chili Cheese Coney with Chili Cheese Tots and a Blue Coconut Slush is just as wonderful as it sounds. The burgers aren't bad either. Any place that sells tots quickly gets an extra star or two from me, and serving breakfast all day (because my stomach doesn't always know what time it is and likes breakfast all hours) also gains a star or two. Being able to pull up into the stalls and sit in your car to eat is just neat, and the carhop thing is cool, too. I would give it half a star less for not being super fast (maybe the drive-thru is, but I've only gone to the stalls to strap on my feedbag, and it can take awhile) and maybe another half a star less for being a little spendier than other fast food (that's what happens when you want to add chili and cheese to everything and also order a Frito's Chili Cheese Wrap), but I can't make myself remove a star when I think of all there is too love. And so, five stars it is. Sonic can do no wrong.

I know it's a chain and has already won popularity in other states, but now we have one in Portland and I am so jazzed. I almost gave up on fast food before this grease-laden, orange-cream slush slingin' burger joint reeled me back in. Their chicken sandwiches, tots, and perfectly made hot fudge sundaes have been a late night munchie gift from above. Sometimes they are pretty packed, but that has rarely if ever slowed the service much. They still hold onto the tradition of servers on skates! It's just rad! (Oh, yeah! That's right! I'm bringin' it back!)

Ok, so I totally feel like Andy Kaufman writing about a vegan restaurant and then moving on to freakin' Sonic Burger, but so be it! I was taken to Sonic Burger by a friend and Texan who swore up and down that I didn't know what I was missing. I was completely overwhelmed by the menu and think I gained 10 pounds just reading it, but if you are in the mood for some good ol' American gluttony than get in this drive thru line!! Well, that day I was, but I still played it pretty conservative. I got a cheeseburger, fries and a cherry limeade and it was fast food heaven. My compadre braved the chili cheese tater tots and a cheeseburger and was equally satisfied. As we exited the drive thru I noticed they really do have a happy hour! I know at the end of the day this is still fast food, but I have to say it seemed a little bit better than the golden arches that day!

The hubby and I know Sonic from varying parts of the planet where we have either visited or endured for an extended period of time. Sonic was always a fun little diversion--reliably good, whatever fried, fat-laden choice was made. We stopped here on the long way back to the airport on our most recent visit to the area. Could have been anywhere. The food was exactly the same. Extra star for the fact that the hubby was stoked to find this place on our path.

the one thing i absolutely love here are the different slushes. from limeades to fresh fruit to energy drinks, they almost have it all. this will be especially yummy when the hot summer nights arrive, Sonic's has late night summer hours. once in a blue moon i'd order a foot long chili cheese coney dog, but other than that i dont care for the burgers or chicken sandwiches. the bf loooves BLT toaster sandwich, its not on the menu but they'll make it. i've had the sausage and gravy breakfast sandwich which made me feel like i just sinned after stuffing my cheeks with it, but damn it was a good sin. also had supersonic brakfast burrito... once. i loved it so much i had the runs an hour after. that's ok, i still like them = )

Stopped by for breakfast for the first time. Had the breakfast burrito combo. It was pretty good and the hottest thing I have ever gotten at sonic. Almost burned my mouth. Usually things are lukewarm. Also, have to go through drive through until 10:30. Anyway it suited my needs for today.

Sonic is just a cool place. Route 44 lime aid is awesome. Love their tots and breakfast toasters. Location is pretty good. Always have good service from them. I miss the roller skates Sonic, let's so them back.

I hate this one they always mess up orders. I ordered a peanut butter snickers blast. And got a blast that had ice cream all leaking out and it was vanilla except for the very bottom. But what else was in it? Cookie dough!!! Thats not even near being snickers. For now on ill go to the one further away

In all seriousness, I'm in disbelief by the fact that this Sonic doesn't have 5 stars. This location was one of the first places I ate at when I moved out here, as I'd never been to Sonic before, and their food is SO good. Where I moved from, fast food was disgusting, barely edible, and usually not hot. My roommate and I have been on a Sonic binge for the past week and every time we order, the quality is awesome and our food is always hot and fresh. I had no idea fast food could be this good. The Miami Sunrise Slush is my new favorite thing. Watermelon is fantastic too. Oh, and the customer service here is great. Everyone I've dealt with always gets my order right (not something I'm used to) and they're always friendly.

Similar to A & W, but unlike any A & W I've been to from 1980-forward, these still have the drive-in parking spots, where the girls (no roller skates, sadly) bring the grub out to you. Like A & W (or Mikes, in Milwaukie/OC) this is pure throwback fantasy. I check the urge to look for Ronnie Howard, Cindy Williams, Richard Dreyfuss, or young Harrison Ford (American Graffiti) every time I go by or go in this place. Their chili -cheese tots won raves from my workgroup, even w/their the strange, oblong take out packages (they could double for French bread bags, easily). Minus one star for no gravy! Dammit! If you're gonna tantalize semi-late night diners with junk food appetizers that can be augmented by dunking in glorious gravy, and you bother to advertise the gravy, please oh pretty please w/country gravy on top, please stop running out of tha' gravy! "What?!? No gway-vee?!?" "Next time remember the gway-vee!" youtube.com/watch?v=aH7b…

No the best cheeseburger but much better than many other fast food burgers. Tater tots were cooked perfectly. Burger actually had real ( not shredded) lettuce, a good amount of cheese, a slice of tomato and pickles which is much more than cheeseburgers I've had elsewhere. My only real complaint is it was almost $5. for a fast food cheeseburger.

I can't give this a full 5 stars because I don't order the food here. I come here to quench my slushie craving (chocolate and cherry, please, and don't forget the cherry). I started coming here because I like the whole idea of my food or, in this case, drink being delivered by someone on roller skates. It's a throwback to yesteryears. The food looks and sounds good but I come here only for the drinks. Happy hour is the best. There is no indoor seating unless you're sitting in a car. Service is fine. Drinks are freakin delicious. The cream slushies are also just as delicious and I recommend those as well.

Good food. Good burgers. I like the onion rings. Can't help but enjoy a place that offers tater tots! The cream slushes are killer. Kids enjoy this place. We have always gotten good food and service. On sunny days it's nice to enjoy the outside seats (not that they have inside seating) rather than eating in the car or taking it home.

I've been going here almost everyday now for 2 weeks straight, I'm usually there for happy hour (2-4 half off drinks) or (after 8pm half off shakes). You can't beat the prices. My usual is a route 44 slushie, it's fckn huge. I loved the green apple and atomic lemon, lmao. TRY THE STRAWBERRY LIMEAID, I S2G. IT'S LIKE STRAWBERRY SWEETNESS DANCING ON YOUR TONGUE. I would say it exceeds Red Robin's freckled lemonade. And I love their freckled lemonade. Service is nice too, they were v friendly every time I came here so no complaints. (4 stars bc I haven't tried out their food yet)

Their menu was okay I don't like the fact that they advertise things that they don't actually have who is doing their ordering who's doing their supply management don't advertise something in a customer comes all the way from the other side of town to come and get it and you don't have it

I WANT to like Sonic but it hasn't worked out well for me. I have visited this store 4 or 5 times in the last 3 years and it seems like something always goes wrong. Tonight I was doing some shopping in the area and decided to stop by for a quick snack. Their shakes and ice cream cones looked fantastic on the signs so I decided to go for one of those. I ordered a cookie dough blast and a plain hot dog at the menu, was given my total and pulled forward. There was only one other car in front of me and I felt I had to wait a long time (in fast food drive thru time) for him to get his food and vacate the window. As soon as I pulled up, I was told that their ice cream machine was down. No blasts, ice cream cones, shakes, nothing. I could see in the window some kid cleaning the machine down and it looked like they were preparing to close it for the evening. I was there more than 45 minutes before close. I think it's unreasonable to close 25% of your menu down before the rest of the restaurant closes, it's lazy and bad business. It's also ridiculous that I wasn't told this back at the menu when I ordered and had to wait forever in their drive thru to find this out. Had I known there was no ice cream, I wouldn't have even bothered waiting and would have just bought a milkshake at Burger King across the street. Oh and the plain hot dog I ordered? Once I got it home and took the wrapper off, I discovered it was slathered in cheese, bacon, potatoes, onions and on some kind of disgusting pretzel bun. Not what I ordered. I tried Sonic, I tried. Maybe if they retrain or hire new staff they can turn this place around but I will not be going back to find out.

I really don't get why this place is worshiped by so many. I was kind of excited when it first opened because I had heard so much about it, but what a disappointment I was in for when I tried the food. The Onion Rings have a sweet undertone which totally grosses me out, the fries are mehhh. I had a cheeseburger today and it was underwhelming. There is just nothing on the menu which I find exciting, They don't carry salads or anything remotely good for you. (not that I expect that in a burger joint but most others carry something decent) The Car Hops are kinda cute and I am sure the kiddies would enjoy the show. The only thing that keeps me coming back at least in the summer is the Diet Cherry Lime-aide and between 2 and 4 is happy hour so it is half price. I can't comment on all the ice cream related items they carry because I don't eat them. If I am going to splurge on fast food, I at least want it to be tasty fast food and this isn't

What can I say, but "Tots".

Happy Hour here takes 1/2 off all drinks! (2-4p daily) - The Strawberry Limeade is a staple, but its light on the strawberry flavor because they use actual blended strawberries. dont expect artificial strawberry soda levels of taste. but they use the mini cubed ice which keeps drinks extra ice cold! -our staff server still used roller blades which was nice. -the deluxe cheeseburger off the value menu is pretty satisfying with a fatty, fried old school hamburger taste. not extremely meaty, but still worth the 1.49! -fries (not tots) are so-so, they came a little off-warm, but i think these would be really good if piping hot. * make sure to get the fry sauce with the fries. and put on everything. including happy hour drinks if so desired.

Driving to start my sixth day of work for the week, I dediced that I would stop and get a Sonic drink to last me the day. I haven't had one in quite a while, so I decided I would treat myself to a delicious Route 44 Lemonberry slush. I pulled into the drive thru and a girl came onto the intercom and asked for my order. I told her, "I would like a Route 44 Lemon Berry slush, no limes, with an extra cherry". Nothing for about 30 seconds and I was asked to repeat my order. I repeated again what I wanted, when the girl said, quite curtly, "We don't make them with limes". In the past I have had several, with limes, and I just did not want them. Really, all I wanted was an ice cold drink to make my ten hours of work start a little easier. I started to tell her this and was interrupted with her reiterating that fact. I told her that if she would not make it the way I wanted it (much to your company's creed about mixing and matching drinks) and I was fine and drove off. I thought about this for about 10 mintues, fuming, on my way to work, and decided to call and speak with the manager. Upon answering the phone, I asked to whom I was speaking to, and was responded to quite rudely, "Heather, who's this?". I told her I was the guy that she just angered in the drive through and asked to speak with her manager. She told me she was the manager. Wow. Excellent customer service skills. Needless to say, our conversation went nowhere immediately and almost two days later I am still extremely upset. If your drinks didn't make me a happy person, I swear, I would never go back to another Sonic again in my life. More than likely, I will return, but I actually might think about making the 15 miles drive to the store in Tigard, versus having the possibility of dealing with an employee (much less a supervisor) like Heather. Ironically, having stopped my the Hillsboro location on my way to work over the years at about 6:00 in the morning, recently I stopped by and was told, again quite rudely, that the location wasn't opened until 6:30 am. I asked if this was a new thing, and she (Almost 100% positive, still Heather) said, "Sir, we don't open until 6:30). I invited Sonic to contact me for a discussion about this experience from the customer's point of view and please explain to me why Heather is actually in charge of anything except taking out the garbage.

While the crushed ice pellets mixed with carnival flavored fruity syrups are good, the rest of their items are barely decent. Oh yes, they are Slushees. I will definitely go to A&W which is within the block of the strip mall for chili cheese dog (or coney dog for this matter). It is way too salty. And I agree with Akemi and Sam's assessment of the dog. UGH. Skate away my beloved car hoppers! I hope to go back one warm summer day and chew those Icy Slushees.
