Easiest 5 star update of all-time. Many of their bugs have been worked out. It's not the most spacious restaurant around, but Larry and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and the food is just friggin awesome. My favorite sauces: Firebird: Freebird BBQ's (much) spicier cousin. Low-Ride-Err: I cannot get enough of this stuff! Sweet Emotion: Sweet and tangy. The house-made blue cheese is utterly brilliant. I mean... it's a masterpiece. I'd dump it on my cereal if I had enough. Just go.

I did not want to deal with dinner on a Friday night and I was perusing the delivered dish website and saw Rock N Wingz listed, so I decided to give them a try. Thru no fault of theirs, we had to wait over two hours for delivered dish to get it here, I will not ding them for that. The food was delicious, however, I think it is quite overpriced for what you get, it works out to almost 2 bucks a wing, which personally I find ridiculous. The portion of the slaw was good and it was tasty, the side of beans I paid $2.50 for was about 1/8 of a cup of beans, it has beef it in which my husband enjoyed. The jalapeno rockers were good, but for $5.00 bucks there were not that many to enjoy. The Hot Dog was excellent! Perhaps the portion sizes are better if you eat in rather than get take out. The wings were delicious, two bucks a piece delicious, not for me. We are not really wing people and normally eat them as appetizers only. I ordered the following: Good & Ready Slaw $5.00 Jalapeno Rockers $5.00 Biggie 6 pack $12.00 Classic Rock (medium), added Curley Styx for $2.50 Biggie 4 pack $7.00 Classic Rock (medium), Diggity Dog $5.29, plus a side of beans for an extra $2.50

Good wings, nice service, $15 for 6 each of Jammin Jerk and Garlic plus fries and a drink. Better and certainly cheaper than BWW, 13 minutes from ordering to food on the table. I wanted a decent, simple place to get wings and fries and this was it.

It is 340pm on Sunday, yelp and the picture I just snapped shows they are open 11a-6p today. They aren't. I have been looking forward to trying this place based on previous reviews I have read here on yelp. If a place averages 4.5 stars on yelp I expect better communication to their customers. Driving to a place expecting them to be open and not even seeing a note on the window that they would be unexpectedly closed is a middle finger to their customers. I saw others pull up and then leave too.grrrr.

Some good flavor however, 2 out of the 3 flavor wings we got came breaded which is just wrong! The breeding soaked up the sauce and made a mushy grainy mess. Wings should not be breaded... It is all about that crisp outside and keeping them saucy. This was our first visit and we likely won't return. We orders Jamaican Jerk, thai and honey BBQ. Oddly the bbq were best because they were not breaded. If you guys stop breading them we would consider giving you another go.

We had boneless wings with wild garlic and firebird sauces. The chicken tasted fresh, with crispy batter; so GOOD! We also had the jungle fries -addicting!!! Would love to see an appetizer sampler with fried pickles and onion rings. Have to try those another time. I so prefer this atmosphere over "other" wing places; classic rock n roll kept at a decent volume, comfy seating. I don't think I've ever given 5 stars... No offense- it was great!

Move over B-Dubs, this place is takes the cake if you're looking for some fantastic wings. It's a bit hidden in a smaller shopping center but well worth the trip. The menu is massive - in additions to wings, they have pizza, wraps, hot dogs and a bevy of sides. But to me the wings are the standout and not to be missed (duh). They have 14 sauce options from mild to OI VEY, and two size options - biggies & smalls. The difference is the small are organic free-range and...smaller. I recommend the smalls for sure. The sauces are AMAZING. My favorite so far has been the Asian Twist but everything I've tried to far I've enjoyed completely. It's a perfect balance of fresh chicken and flavorful sauces. The motif is definitely rock 'n' roll with biker gear & heavy metal playing. There's also two TVs mostly with sports on there. Besides soda pop, they have decent selection of local brews on tap. The service is super nice - my only complaint is it does take awhile to get your food but it's always been worth it.

We are addicted. This is our go to takeout, and we can't stop. My husband does wings and I am hooked on the big boy wrap with super fly Thai. It's a hole in the wall location for sure, but don't let that stop you. Updating this to add.. I have since tried the onion rings "ringz" and they are delicious!! The wedge salad was jam packed with toppings and was a very tasty addition to my wings.

Ok cannot complain about the food except for the wait time longer every time. 38 min for two wraps and fries. Not fast food for sure.

Ate here for the first time tonight. We ordered Honey Honey BBQ, and the Brown Sugar Teri-Rocki wings. We also got and order of jungle fries. The fries were amazing, as well as the wings. It's nice that you can sample the sauce before you buy. The service was quick. The waiter was very helpful. I loved the atmosphere. This place is so much better than the other wing place.

We had a taste for some wings, but wanted to try something other than Buffalo Wild Wings or Big Al's which are in the neighborhood. I searched on yelp and found this gem in Hillsboro. I like that they use fresh ingredients and free range chicken, not to mention the wings are delicious! I tried the Medium 'Classic' flavor and the Garlic wings, and they were very tasty! I ordered the small wing size, and it was more than enough, I ordered 6 I think it was and my fiance ordered 12. We had to order the Jungle Fries as everyone commented on them. They were so good! Real cheese, real sour cream, real ranch and bacon bits! YUM! We ordered a large size and it was perfect for 2. The fries are freshly made in house, you can tell, they don't come out of a bag. The place is fairly small. We went on a Saturday at 7pm or so, and didn't have any problem finding a seat. You order and take a seat. The staff was super friendly! Until next time!

So, I know that when I was growing up I was notified that wings are sorta supposed to be a guy thing. Right? I mean they're generally eaten with beer while oogling scantily clad women/ servers. Theyre also messy and unladylike. At least that's what my dad made me think. Especially when he went off to Hooters with his golf buddies. Somewhere along the line though, I decided I liked chicken wings. Especially of the Asian, Jerk, and/or BBQ persuasion. I had a couple boyfriends who encouraged this liking. They thought I was cute eating messy food. Ok. Sure. Pass the napkins. Then I married someone who doesnt really enjoy food and if there is food, eschews bones and shells and cobs and inedible parts like artichoke leaves. They all gross him out. So if he did deign to eat a chicken wing he ate just one, and with a facial expression that was not positive. My kiddo isnt a bone person either. What she is, is a condiment person. All things sauces and dressings. Especially if theyre Asian or Barbecue. So boneless wings with a variety of sauces was interesting to her. We tried to go on a Monday ( btw they're closed Monday even though their website said they were open). We were finally successful on Tuesday. I ate in with a friend then brought Princess' home. I recommend eating in. The server was very nice. It was a little empty in there. The verdict? Lots of sauces and choices. Kid liked boneless brown sugar terri rocky the best. Coleslaw was pretty good. Not soggy which I appreciate. The blue cheese dressing was really tasty. I liked the Asian Twist flavor best. Next time I'm getting wings with bones, though. I'm not a big breading girl. Its nice to have a local wing option on the west side thats family friendly, with lots of choices, at a reasonable price. I liked it.

BEST PLACE EVER. I'm addicted to this place. Call me a fatty, but we get take out from Rock-n-Wingz just about every other week. It's just that good. My favorite things are the jungle fries and the bird bites in the Venice sauce (parmesan and garlic), but really, everything's good. You just can't go wrong. The guy who owns Rock-n-Wingz is great. He's always super friendly and upbeat. Fantastic customer service.

My husband and I are somewhat of wing snobs if there is such a thing?! We moved to the westside this past spring. We were now far away from our beloved Fire On The Mountain in PDX. We set out to find some decent wings over on the west side. There's your subpar Buffalo Wild Wings close by, with nothing noteworthy about their wings or their sauces. RockNwingz came recommended from our son & his army buddies who live near by. Let's just say this place is a hidden gem! They're a family owned business which is always a bonus in my book. Their sauces, wings, and fries far exceeded our expectations. They have fun quirky names to all their sauces and fry creations that add to this unique little wing joint. I should add that they had sandwiches, and appetizers that looked amazing but since this was our first time we wanted a baseline for us coming back. Decent selection of beers on tap too! We cannot say enough good things about our experience from this little hidden spot in Hillsboro! Great food Rocknwingz! :)

Walked in to try this place out at an off peak hour (2:30pm), just after the lunch rush. Larry was super helpful in explaining their menu and giving the low down on his sauce creations. We had the pork sandwich, wrap, hotdog, and 3 different kinds of sauced wings. This place did not dissapoint! Wings were nonbreaded sauced and packed with flavor. Not "gristley" or fatty at all. Food was on point. And they had beer, which is a requirement for a "wing establishment" if you ask me :) 5 stars all the way!!! a big thank you to Larry!!!

There are obviously many reasons to support small businesses. However, in the delicate balance of good food, great service, and a good ambience all done on a consistent basis, it is no wonder that so many restaurants fail. Rock - N - Wingz is a business everyone should support as it excels on all three factors. Food - best wings in the Portland area. We had the Claasic Rock and the Sweet Emotion wings, and these were the best wings I've had since college in NYC 20 years ago. The Sweet Emotion had just the right amount of heat. My kids were happy with the pizza and bird bites, and loved the vanilla ice cream in the root beer float ( they are ice cream connoisseurs, and swear that the ice cram is homemade). Service - some of the nicest people ever. We happened to meet Larry after he made the ceremonial pitch at the Hops game --- thanks for not staying to watch the game, and serving your customers. And he has family working there as well, and they are all friendly and warm. Ambience --- two college football games on, and some great music let alone a very clean dining room. What more can you ask for in a family restaurant? We cannot wait to return. I am investing in some larger-sized pants.

I came here for lunch on a weekday with some friends and I don't really want to come back given how long it takes. You need to allocate 1.5 hrs to eat here because there's only one person taking the orders and one person cooking so it can take a very long time during a busy lunch. I ordered the boneless wings with the spicy low-ride-err sauce. I didn't really like it because there was such a thick coating of flour with very little meat inside and the pieces were quite small. I usually order boneless wings because I don't like the mess of eating wings but my friends said the real wings are much better than the boneless ones. I probably won't come back to see if that's true or not.

4 tables, 2 booths, and two bars booth seats (seats 4) . Not a large area. It is busy today, Lisa was my cashier. She greated me with a smile and let me know it was her second day. I was not in any rush, appreciated her telling me. She was very kind. Clean, tables are cleared quickly after someone leaves. THIS IS OUR GO TO SPOT FOR WINGZ. sorry buffalo wild wings, but you've lost this game. HH, 'Happy Hour' Mon-Saturday 3p-530p . love it, makes it even more of a deal. **CRISPY and TASTY** all of them we enjoyed Venice, USA - Boneless Honey, Honey BBQ - Bone in Brown Sugar Teri-Rocki -Bone in Asian Twist - Bone in then we also had the Onion Ringz and Jungle Fries. Rock - N - Wingz ~ you did not Disappoint ! oh and my partner in crime had the hot dog wrapped in bacon, with the name Ripper we were expecting a LARGER dog.

Man oh man. This place is becoming a problem for me. I've eaten their food about 4 times in the past 3 weeks. The wings are just that damned good! For those of you complaining about slow service, you can tell they actually care about how their wings taste, so I don't mind it taking a while. If you want fast food, go to Burger King or that other crappy wing chain restaurant. We've tried most of the sauces here, and ALL of them are fantastic so you can't go wrong with any of them. The jungle fry's are excellent as well. Finally a great wing place on the west side. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Best chicken wings I ever had! Love supporting a small business rather than a big chain. Don't forget to try the dilly coins, yum. And if your brave enough (my husband was) try the wing challenge. You will never go back to Buffalo Wild Wings again!

Delicious wings. Love the Asian twist and the TNT is just the right spice without going to the dynamite. Great place to stop by after coming back from fishing at Hagg Lake.

Absolutely amazing food. Never had anything from here we haven't loved! My favorite is sweet emotion wings and jungle fries. My hsuand is a wing connosoiur and approves of their spicy sauce selection. Larry is always super friendly and prompt with service. Way better than any chain wing place and so far the best I've had on the west coast.

I love buffalo style chicken not wings boneless bird bites please. This place is family owned and run and the inside decor is total gear head meets rock n roll. The classic rock they play totally goes with the place. Hubby and I tried the boneless bites, he had the TNT and I had the rock n roll sauce, both were good, mine was great! Served up with celery and blue cheese or ranch, yum! I will be going back for sure! I only hope they aren't as busy as last time, I only docked them one star because our food was kinda cold by the time they served us:(. Hopefully next time that won't happen. I understand stuff happens:)

I recently found the perfect wing recipe to make at home. Since trying to lose the baby weight and more, it was a nice to find something I can lower the Weight Watchers points on and enjoy.... but.....sometimes....you need to not be in the kitchen. Life has been chaos lately with work and home and stuff. B and I decided we needed some WINGS. They are like some of the best comfort food...but since moving to Oregon, we had not ventured away from Buffalo Wild Wings out of fear and convenience. Well, finally it was time. Our last order from ...that other place...was wrong and over cooked and just reminded me how much I hate the loudness and general "chain feel" that they have....so we went exploring. Being out in Hillsboro, sometimes you feel as if you are in another universe which leaves you feeling like you do not have any options but ...there they were, Rock-N-Wingz (I do not like the Z at the end personally...but I deal) We show up...all excited. They were closed. Family birthday party. It was a Sunday (our day when we had a sitter and wanted to get some YUM and watch a movie at home in the quiet...so I can tell you, I was very disappointed but the idea that it was a family joint, made me smile. So ....we tried again...like a week or two later (can't remember). B got the classic and some fried pickles, my mom got a cheese pizza and some onion rings and I got the honey and those jungle fries BUT with mozzarella instead of pepper jack because I am just not a fan of pepper jack. The order took a while BUT as someone who makes wings at home, I know why...fresh wings take TIME. So be prepared ....(we are ordering again tonight and we are calling ahead) ... The staff was nice ...place had awesome music and the wall of pain (I think that is what they call it) cracks me up. We took our yummy stuff home and yep...it was lovely. Sauces were decadent and rich, the fried pickles were crispy, sour and perfect and the wings were moist. The onion rings are HUGE and there were too many for us to finish but they were good. Mom said the pizza was good (she is a veggie, hence the choice of cheese) and yeah, we are happy campers. I feel confident now in trying the more unique sauces, like tonight I will be trying their boneless wings with the jerk sauce and being naughty and getting those fries again. YUM! All in all, I hope these guys stick around. I wish they were a bit closer to the house so I could walk and get my order (feel less guilty) and I think they would do well over here more in the Orenco area...but that is me being selfish. If you are out my way and you need some wings (WITH AN S in my mind but a Z on the sign), check out Rock-N-Wingz.

Meh. It was okay I guess. Seeing all the good reviews on yelp, my fiancé decided we would go here. My first impression of the restaurant was that it was a lot smaller than I imagined. You order at the front and then get seated. I got the wild garlic wings. We were told that there were two types. The larger wings were on average twice the size of the smaller wings. So I decided to get the larger ones. The place was empty when we arrived but filled up pretty fast. The onion rings were good. One surprise was that one of my wings was clearly smaller than the rest. It was a baby wing. I don't know if there was a mix up in the wings or whether I just received an extra tiny wing (I didn't count), but it just struck me as interesting. Anyway, I feel like the quality of the wings was comparable to Buffalo Wild Wings. The only difference to me was the service, environment, and the fact that you only get two small celery sticks at this place.

I'm so happy we have a wing place in our corner or Hillsboro! And an awesomely tasty one at that! So this little place earned four stars not just cuz it's in my hood, but because everything from the wings (duh) to the service (the guys are so on it and always nice!) to the handmade goodness of all their food! Musts: Boneless Wings. So that you can compare...if you ever go to Buffalo WWs then you know the type of batter they use. These here have a way lighter batter that is smooth, rather than BWW that has a crunchy bumpy texture. And smaller pieces, more like popcorn chicken. Love it. ALL the freakin made with love sauces!!! Like tons of mild, medium and hot and hot hot (makes my lips burn hot, yes!) sauces to choose from. SOOO good. Homemade bleu cheese dressing. YES. Need I say more. I have too often then not made a pit stop here on my way to pick up daughter from school, which happens to be RIGHT around the corner from Rockin. Damn it. Wayyyy to easy for a fix. Just another addiction to add to my list. :). Or is it maybe :(? No....:).

On a whim we decided to try this place out. A fellow elite had said good things so I figured what the heck! It's a smaller place. If you have ever lived in cities that have some dedicated small wing places you'll get the feel here. They have a local feel. Some beer on tap, good with wings. Some different selections for apps and all round menu items. Like the deep fried pickle chips, pretty good, gotta eat em hot or they are just a mess. Wings. You have a choice of regular, large size or boneless bites. The large wings are cool. I've had them in other spots, think chicken wings only like 2x bigger. It works, give em a shot! Flavors. This is kind of hard to explain here. They have several. Everything from traditional buffalo sauces and heats, to different BBQ and Asian styles. The Parmesan garlic (Venice) are good, as are the sweet emotion and honey honey BBQ. The flavors on the board have some unique names, and most aren't self explanatory. But just ask the owner and he's more than happy to describe them. I'm all for the different names, but maybe a small description under each to keep from having to pester them for descriptions. The kids selections are a little short. However both my kids found things they liked. So it was a win. Small groups look to be handled easily. I could do a repeat here over BWW with zero complaint.

My girlfriend and I ate here tonight for the first time. we ordered the Asian and garlic boneless chicken wings. The chicken here is amazing and the sauce they put on the chicken is very tasty and full of flavor! We also had the fried pickle chips which were delicious! I would highly recommend stopping in and giving this joint a try!

I work next door to this place and had a chance to meet the owners while they were undertaking construction, they were both good humans by my standards and definitely the kind of people I enjoy giving my money to. The decor is great for their theme and the place is no longer an eyesore that it was before. Now for the food. Absolutely wonderful!!! I've tried the bone in wings with a few different sauces. While I prefer the spicy ones I enjoyed all of the sauces I've tried. I had a great big boy wrap two days ago and was impressed with the flavor and the size. Of the dish. I will definitely return it's just a shame nobody will see this review as it's my first and yelps software will stash it in the Unrecommended section until it gathers dust.

  • Natalie G.

I would give them 4 stars if it wasn't for the poor customer service. I mentioned that it was my first time there, which usually prompts the person waiting on me to tell me how things work. And this was the owner, so I expected better service. Instead I just got an 'Ok' and blank stare waiting for me to order. So I had to proceed to ask questions, like how many wings to a flavor, etc. I thought the wing flavor variety was good and I really liked the 2 flavors I got (medium and the Asian sweat & spicy flavor). My husband has a different opinion though. I would go back, but I don't think I will be able to go with him. He got the jerk chicken flavor and didn't think it tasted anything like jerk chicken.

Surprised the reviews are so high here. It is a walk up counter and the guy at the counter wasn't helpful. I even started with "I haven't been here before" so he could guide me. They offer two size wing bone in....large and small. They were out of large so I took the small. Many of the pieces were these cut in half type wings. I tried the traditional and Thai peanut. Traditional was fine. Not bad or great. Thai peanut was not good. Gritty and lakes a good peanut taste.

This place is Rockin! Easily the best wings I have had in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. My go to sauces are the Venice, USA (Garlic Parmesan) and the Wild Garlic (Classic hot wings kicked up a notch with garlic). The Jungle fry's are also amazing here, and their ripper and slaw dogs are also really good. Not only are their regular prices pretty decent, but they also have lunch specials, a happy hour, semi daily Facebook specials, and a $5 bandana that saves you $2 every time you wear it and spend more than $10. If you combine certain offers you can get a lot for surprisingly little. The service has always been great as well. My only complaint is that sometimes their music can be a little loud, but when they're playing some awesome classic rock, i'm not complaining. Make this polace your go to wing spot and support local business!

This place is amazing! It's a pretty small place and when you walk in they're playing rock music. All of the good stuff! Zeppelin, AC/DC, and the like. They only do wings, sandwiches and, I think, pizza, so you know the food stays fresh and gets eaten. It's just two guys making and selling wings and, boy, are they tasty! I've had the extremely hot TNT, the garlic, and a couple others, but in my opinion the Superfly Thai was the best. OMG!!! I won't be able to try them all because I can't get past this one. They've got five or so beers on tap as well. If you're into rock music, wings and beer you will absolutely love this place and visit often. And if you buy a bandana (and wear it any way you like) you get a discount every time you come in. Way cool. Come in and support these guys so they can spread the Rock-n-Wingz love!

This is a very small place located next to what was I believe the second McMennamins now O'Briens. The owner could not be nicer and the chicken is all range grown organic so you don't have to worry about eating too much fat. That is a huge plus for me. When I was there a group of 6 or 7 Intel people were falling all over each other because one of them was able to eat 5 or 6 of the super hot wings in 5 minuets. There is some kind of wing challenge and you get a 'T' shirt. I grow organically and commercially Carolina Reapers, Trinidad Scorpions, India Ghost peppers and a variety of Habaneras, so hot sauce generally does not impress me. I talked the owner into providing me with a small cup of his hottest and I proceeded to literally suck it down.... What I liked most was that it had a very good flavor. It never has made sense to me why anyone would eat anything if it did not have a good flavor. Their hottest hot sauce may not be hot to me (probably kill most normal people-it did this Intel crowd) but the flavor was excellent. My friend and I tried the medium boneless, large, Asian boneless wings and the normal rock'n wings, large, with bone in. I liked both but the Asian boneless was really very hard to stop eating. I could have chomped down $20 worth with a couple beers-no problem. My bottom line is this is a very nice place with a very cool owner. I like to support small operations like this so I will stop by again for sure!

This establishment has been better than any other wing place I've tried in the metro area. The sauces' taste profiles are comparable to Buffalo Wild Wings, but are made fresh, instead of in a factory somewhere. The wild garlic, for instance, is similar to BWW spicy garlic, but is made with bits of actual minced garlic. If you know what you like at BWW, you can find something that beats it here. One exception to that is the "Sweet Emotion" honey chipotle sauce. It stands on its own, and is one of my favorite sauces, along with the "wild garlic" and "asian twist." The bleu cheese dressing is awesome too! The only hope or suggestion is that they add some new and different sauce options, maybe something incorporating bleu cheese crumbles?

The wings and pizza here are very good. The wings are big. I usually go for the spicy classic sauces here. The service is a bit slow so you might not get refills. But they are the best in the area.

Wings were awesome. Good size wings and cooked just right. Tried the fried pickles and they were good. I had never tried them before. Very friendly service. I will definitely go back again. Kinda a small place but for sure a good place to try.

Wings are quite good, fries are amazing. The wings are better than anything I would expect in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. I would recommend, also the French fries are really really good, a fantastic value.

Looking for an average place to get average wings? The go to buffalo wild wings.....but if you are looking for the best Damn wings in Oregon then Rock-N-Wingz is the place for you. Great variety of sauces from mild to melt your face hot! And if you are in the mood for pizza, they have that too! I would give the 10 stars if yelp would let me!

Good food for such a small, out-of-the-way joint. Had a restaurant dot com gift certificate for this place (since their selection is so limited) so I had to drive a bit to get out here. Definitely would be someplace I would go more often if I lived closer. The fried pickles and onion rings were so, so good. I also can't say enough about the homemade blue cheese dressing. Superb. The wings were good. Not my favorite ever but definitely worth getting if you're in the neighborhood. Small area for eating in, but the owner(?) or only guy there was running a pretty decent lunch crowd during the weekdays. He was also pretty attentive for such a busy time of day. Overall, really enjoyed it but the location is the issue for me. Will go again if I'm out that way and getting hungry.

The place is small and dated with only a few tables, but don't let that fool you. They have some pretty good wings. Group of four of us went and tried this place. We ordered the 24 small wings and each of us got six in separate "plates' with our own choice of sauce. I myself had the "sweet emotion" that was a mix of honey and chipotle flavor. Sweet with a nice light spicy kick but not too spicy to where its uneatable. The wings definitely tasted like they were fresh, and not frozen. They were served with a celery stick and choice of ranch or blue cheese. I had ranch as I can not stand the taste of blue cheese. If you have a group of people I do recommend ordering one of the larger packs as they will split the difference up in separate plates each with their own sauce. You will end up saving some money that way rather then ordering separate smaller packs. As I said at the start, the decor is dated but it fits them well. Its all wings and rock n roll here, classic rock that is and thats exactly the kind of music they play here. It's a pretty good place and I'll be back to try a different sauce or maybe one of their other menu items

By far the best wing place I have ever been to. They have several sauces to choose from. I really liked the "TNT" Plenty of food for the price and very good curly fries. The owner was very friendly and all the customers were chatty and eager to share their favorite sauces. I will definitely be going back.

The review you almost don't want to give because you don't want it to end up being discovered by everyone and then becoming super busy all the time. So glad we found this place. It's odd out of the way location would make me worried that it wouldn't stay afloat, but with their awesome food and fun atmosphere, they should have no problem! The sauces, which are all homemade were so good with clever rock n' roll inspired names. We had sweet emotion and super fly thai. Both awesome (finally, a sauce as good as the peanut from Fire on the Mountain) The dill pickles were REALLY tasty and fresh. The fries (they call em Styx-gotta love that!) were also top notch. Family friendly, playing rock and country music, very fast service and reasonably priced. Even a few great beers on tap to wash it all down. Would return here over Buffalo Wild Wings or Fire on the Mountain any day.

I took a friend here for a power lunch and it was outstanding. Great sauces, the wings were cooked perfectly-- crispy and hot. Since it's prepared fresh per order, expect to wait 10-15 minutes to be served, but it's worth it. Nice to hear Rock & Roll music at the restaurant. Totally Legit.

Really love this place! I used to get stoked about going to Buffalo Wild Wings, but this place is far superior. Great portions, fresh tasting food, and homemade sauces and fries! I suggest the Freebird sauce, it's mild but has a really nice smokiness to it. I definitely recommend it.

I've been following this place on Facebook for a couple of months, and just got around to trying it a few weeks ago. I wanted to just totally love them because the owners and staff seem SUPER awesome and you can tell they are trying really hard! They post near-daily specials on Facebook which is great. We got takeout - we tried the Venice USA, Honey Honey BBQ, Brown Sugar Teri-Rocki (YUM YUM YUM - get this!), and Classic Rock (the standard by which all wing joints must be measured!). All of the sauces were really good, the Brown Sugar Teri-Rocki was definitely the best. The unfortunate part was the wings seemed dry/over-cooked. I'm hoping it was just an off day and they won't always be that way! We also got 2 orders of Jungle Fries... I am a fry lover/hog and don't want to share. I expected to love them, and I did. They were easily some of the best cheese fries I have ever had. The interesting thing was that my husband REALLY liked them as well. He's normally a take-it-or-leave-it kind of fry guy. So that's saying something. Definitely will be back - hope to eat in next time. These guys are working really hard and I hope they have great success in Hillsboro!

So many sauces to choice from which is awesome. All sauces are homemade which I think makes them so much. The nice part is you can test every sauce they have there which I find as a great thing. They have seasonal sauces as well which if you fall in love with one of the sauces it's so sad when it's gone. =-( But that's why it's seasonal. The employees that are here are just wonderful all around. They have all been great there. It's so a family atmosphere which I find so great because it's so hard to find that now a days it seems so rare.

Great atmosphere, clean resturant, good beer and tasty wings. We also got the sweet potato sticks and they were great too. I staff are really friendly and really know how to ruin their business. I will definitely come back.

Service is definitely Hit or Miss. Came here during my lunch hour and all the staff was stuck in the back doing prep. No matter that the door chimed. I came early to beat the 12 o'clock rush... So much for that. The wings are good though. Too bad we disappoint with opting for "Just Water" as a beverage.

So I found my new favorite wing place- found them on a on line Groupon thingy. So it's a small place tucked in a shopping center- more of a small family hangout. So for the food: I ordered the honey bbq wings, Medium sauce wings, sweat potato fries & the Ripperz a all Beef Dog bacon wrapped & deep fried to perfection (loaded). Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup, Rockin Relish - the sauce for the wings was perfect, the homey bbq was crunchy and sticky with the perfect amount of honey glaze, the medium wings had a wonderful flavor didn't have the bite I expected but I was very happy with the taste overall, the fries were exactly what you would expect with nice sweet bursting flavor- and for the hotdog-wow, LOVED this and the relish was my favorite bit to it all. I will definitely be back again very soon- great job guys!

  • Sandeep M.

These are some of the best wings in town! Went there for the first time last week through a Groupon. Their wing sauces are house made recipes. They claim that their wings are never frozen, and you can definetly taste the high quality. We ordered: Jalapeno Poppers (house recipe as well, very different and much better than typical poppers), Thai Peanut wings, Garlic, and Jammin' Jerk. Everything was amazing and finger lickin' good! Definitely becoming our go to wing stop.

  • David M.

I literally gain weight dreaming about this place. The sauces are excellent and the chicken was cooked perfect!! (For my taste anyways) The appetizers were excellent as well... Especially the fries!!!!!!!!!!! I thought the food was great overall, and better than b-dub, but if your looking for fun ambience or game day action, this hole in the wall local joint will be disappointing. But there isn't anywhere better on the west side for quality and price!

    (5)
  • Ryan B.

Best wings I have had on the west side. Kills BWW. Nothing special establishment wise and that's my favorite part. Wild garlic, jammin jerk and super fly Thai were the flavors we went with and they were fantastic. Pickle chips are top notch and check out the jungle fries.

I'm not a huge wing fan, but I like the wings here. For Hillsboro, this is a 4 star place because it's local, which is not common, and has pretty solid food. Probably really a 3.5, but I'm giving them the extra half because I keep going back. The bone-in chicken is quality, and as far as I can tell all of the sauces, ranch, and blue cheese are home-made and good. The classic wing sauce and the wild garlic sauce are pretty solid for Buffalo style flavor. I haven't been a big fan of the other sauces - the are good, but not great. The pizza is good, nothing special, but good. It's a small place, and the classic rock is rocking all of the time. It's not a date night kinda place...but, a good take-out option for something different. The owners and servers are always super nice and seem to be committed to doing something quality and value their customers.

Got a coupon to try this place out. Small place but has lots of character. The wings are definitely better than Buffalo Wild Wings. We got the 12 wings jumbo bone in and you get to choose 2 sauces and an order of their fried pickles. Both were delicious. Try their Asian twist sauce. Very yummy! We were tempted to try their challenge but ask to try the sauce first. Thank god we didn't. Would have had a heart attack lol

  • Kim L.

Hubby and I had dinner here last night. Wow, yum! We had the Asian twist and wild garlic wings. The sauces were great, especially the garlic sauce. The wings are big and meaty ... They make Buffalo Wild Wings look pitiful, and the prices are better too. Much better value for your money at Rock-n-Wingz. You can tell the wings are fresh, not frozen. The only thing I would change is to have the wings a bit more crispy. We also tried the Ripperz Dog. Bacon wrapped, deep fried beef hotdog with super spicy relish. Enough said, except when can I get another one? This place is real close to our house and I hope they stick around, because I'm sure we will come here a lot. Friendly staff, kick ass music, and great food. We will be back!

This is the best Wing Place! I tried their USA Venice and Bacon Wrap Hotdog that packs with very tasty relish with Mayo/Mustard/Ketchup. I also tried their 10" Garlic/Chicken/Bacon Pizza. The crust and the toppings are very fresh and made to the right taste and a elegant delivery. And very YUMMY too! Much better than BW and other wing place. They need to put more seats in the restaurant! Hope they will keep busy, so that I can have good wings!!!! As their name - This place ROCK!! The owner and the staff are also super friendly too.

  • Abigail M.

Totally love this place. The staff is wonderful and down to earth and don't pretend to be anything other than a little wing shop. Every sauce I have tried here has been excellent. I even buy bottles of the Sweet Emotion sauce for my own cooking which they sell for 8 dollars a bottle. Never disappoints. Even the blue cheese is great!

Amazing wings. Great variety of hand made sauces. Their coleslaw is delicious. Sweet potato fries are to die for. Ordered classic and Thai sauces on my wings. Yum!!! Great draft beers too!

I've been here a few times now and have gotten a variety of sauces in the mild medium and hot category's. Everything I have gotten has been super good! I've also had the jungle fries and the fried pickles and both were yummy. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options here!

Soooooooo goooooood! Way better than the national restaurant chain in the area. Hands down, I would drive the extra 15 miles from home to eat here 3 to 4 times per month! I enjoy good quality hit buffalo hit wings... And this place really knows how to do it. First off the owners are the only employees and they're doing it every day. Super friendly with home made recipes that are to die for. I highly recommend this place and hope it does enough business to survive and be successful. Try the pizza too!

I couldn't say enough good things about this place! Best wings I have ever had hands down. The selection of sauces is amazing and they all taste great! The wings here are SOOOOO much better than Buffalo Wild Wings. This is a great family owned place and you can tell they care about their customers. For anyone looking for the most amazing wings and some awesome food I would check this place out. Again, best wings I've ever had!

Great Dawgs, too! One of the few all beef hotdogs around, burnt perfectly and topped with crispy bacon and stuff. I'm sorry I forgot about it during my previous craving. Oh, didn't find it in Yelp under restaurants. Might want to fix that!

I've eaten here three times and I am still working my way through the sauces. First, there are so many and, second, they are each so good. My 7-yr-old daughter loves the Honey BBQ bone-in wings. My 9-yr-old son loves the Brown Sugar Teriyaki and the brick oven pizza. Me? I love it all! Great service and great food.

This place is the BEST wing place I've ever tried to date. I like wings, don't get me wrong. But I've never felt they were authentic by any means. This place, however exceeded my expectations. If you like it spicy, the spicy garlic, and the low rider are the best. Just be aware... This is a local joint, and the wings take awhile (approx 20 mins).

  • Joy M.

I was here about 2 weeks ago and found out about this place from the Clipper or one of those local coupon books. Who doesn't love wings? I do. We went in on a Friday night and there was nowhere to sit- small space- so we ordered to go. We got one regular/ buffalo flavor and one called Free Bird which was a BBQ sauce with a slight kick- both were super flavorful. The wings were maybe slight over cooked but we will try again because the flavors were deelish! The wings are a decent size and weren't greasy; perfect amount of sauce. It's nice to have a wing place so close to home'

Arrived waited about five minutes for a table, waited another 10 minutes to order drinks, then another 10 mins for the drinks to arrive. Now 30 mins in order wings and jungle fries. Wait 30 mins for fries to arrive .... They were good but a small amount. Waited another 20 mins to find out the wings were never ordered. No accommodations for the error, we decided to pay the tab and leave hungry. It was unfortunate.

Wow! My first time here and this place blew me away. So crispy and the sauce is amazing. I'm a wing junkie and this place beats Buffalo Wild Wings and fire on a mountain. I can't believe I finally found this little hole in the wall. Everyone have to try it. Love them!

I wish I could give this place no stars as I am greatly disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered from here through Delivered Dish after reading all of the positive reviews & I'm beginning to think that everyone who wrote reviews is either the owners, family members of the owners, employees or friends of the owners. I ordered a Biggie 4pack in Asian Twist, 2 kids hot dogs with curly fries as the sides & 2 cans of coke. The coke was the best part of the meal. The Biggie wings were puny with almost no meat on them, I think they gave me the smaller size of wings, but charged me for the Biggies. The hot dogs looked shriveled up & blackened like they had been on the spit for weeks & were nasty & greasy when my son & I tried them. They were completely un-edible. The curly fries were overly greasy & couldn't be eaten as well as we don't care for a mouth full of liquid grease when you took a bite of a fry. I am sorely disappointed in this purchase & would think that a business would try to make their delivery orders just as good as their supposed, unbiased in restaurant reviews. I will NEVER order from here again or Delivered Dish as the quality is subpar & I'm sure I could find better quality elsewhere.

I wanted to give it more stars but it just didn't measure up. We love our hot wings. We received a certificate to this place and were excited to try it. I give it three stars because the people working here were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the only really good thing about the wings is their crispness. They do a good job getting the wings crisp so there is a crunch when you bit into them. They also leave them unbattered, which to us is essential. We tried the classic rock, jammin jerk, and sweet emotion. The classic rock is what we expected with your typical hot wing sauce. The sweet emotion, though, didn't have much flavor or heat. The same with the jammin jerk. To us, the jammin jerk and sweet emotion tasted the same. We also had the Ripperz hot dog. Now that was YUMMY! If we are ever in the area again that would be the one item I would be up for getting. The bacon wrapped around the dog was nice and crispy but not over cooked.

service is slow, He is a one man show on the front of house. needs an extra server / bus boy. I witnessed 3 couples/families sitting at dirty tables because he didn't have time to clean. He needs help to make it a great experience... Food it was good. We'll give it a few and weeks and come back, nice theme of old rock and roll.

It's about time to see a wing place in Hillsboro! I was totally shocked to notice this place out of nowhere, but I'm glad I did. They have homemade sauces and decent prices. Not sure why they close so early, but if you can make it before 9 it's worth it!

Tried RW today for the first time. FANTASTIC! They use quality chicken. Juicy, flavorful and meaty. Tried 4 flavors: honey BBQ, Teri-rocki, sweet emotion, low-ride-err. All very generously sauced, separately packed and labeled. Also tried the deep fried pickles. WHAT? Deep fried what? They were fantastic. They uniquely cleansed the palette between flavors. All in all... We found our wing joint! Hands down.

  • Jill W.

First of all, I LOVE wings and we came here based on all the "5 star" Yelp reviews. Sadly, we were gravely disappointed by our experience, even more so by the food. We stopped here because I was craving wings and was fully prepared to embarrass myself with the amount of wings I was ready to consume. Granted, it WAS (early on) Super Bowl Sunday and they have been open only three months, but it seems they still have a few things to figure out. Upon entering, we noticed a sign stating that they were out out of "bone-in" wings due to a large order. Darn, I wasn't looking for chicken nuggets, but okay. The back wall behind the counter is a large chalkboard, with two white boards mounted on it. One of the whiteboard signs says to sit down and someone will come to take our order, but there was no one available to take do so, so we went ahead and ordered at the counter. -You'd think that they'd use the white board for menu items, like maybe the wing flavors, sizes and prices, but no, just some random verbiage in messy writing, stating that we should take caution, it could get "wild" in here, and the fact that they are not corporate owned. I will tell you, THAT was apparent. Not being a huge wing fan, my spouse orders the "ripper dog" to be told that they aren't serving that today. Okay, I guess neither one of us will get what we were looking for, but we settle on boneless wings and a pizza. When we ask about the sizing for wings (boneless sizes being small and regular size) the counter person wasn't sure how many came in each. She said she thought that a small was 8 oz at $3.99, and the regular was 12 oz at $7.99. If she is correct, that means you pay twice as much for 50% more. Um, okay, strange. Along with our food, I ordered a beer, my spouse a Coke. We sat in a booth and waited about 5 minutes for the Coke to arrive. I reminded the person who delivered the Coke that I was waiting on a beer. She said she couldn't deliver it because she was underage. Okay, so, I wait. Then, they start to get busy and a line forms at the register (giving me hope that the wings might at least be decent, but also delaying my drink order even more so). In the meantime, the booth next to us had their food delivered to them in a bag and Styrofoam packages, the food runner stating that there was a mix up and they originally thought the order was to go. -So, they knowingly delivered their food to them this way, even though they recognized their error in advance? We waited several (15ish) more minutes and my beer was delivered, then the food. Same thing. In a bag, Styrofoam containers and a pizza box. No plates, no nothing. "Oops, we accidentally bagged it to go." I will say that we could easily forgive all the above listed items if the food were good. The pizza reminded me of pizza we used to make at home as a kid, canned Chef - Boy - ardee sauce and all. The boneless wings were edible, but not "good". We ordered three flavors, two in the small size and one in the large. Do yourself a favor and get all boneless wings in the small size. They were VERY close in size, both sizes being pretty generous, I must say. Unfortunately, after sampling a few of each (okay SEVERAL - we were hungry) we threw the remainder away. The "classic" were fine, but not crispy, others sorta crispy, but not yummy sauce, etc. Wings that I don't even want to take home? This just isn't me. We left, full but unsatisfied. I hope that it was just a fluke and the owner or manager who knows how to "run the show" just took the day off due to Super Bowl (which wouldn't be smart, but the only explanation I could think of.) I love wings and support small business. I just want to take these guys under MY wing to help them succeed.

Heard about this place so decided to check it out. There are no signs that tell you to order first or to sit down. The wings here are over priced for what they are worth. I tried their mild classic sauce and it had no flavor. i don't recommend this place. i prefer to drive out to Portland and get some wings at Fire on the Mountain. That place is good!!!!!!

We loved loved loved the pizza, we had the Bella. Best pizza ever! We also had th low rider wings, they were great, client rob and lime- never had any wings like these before and they were spectacular. We definitely will be back, oh did I mention that the staff is great too, wonderful energy,

We "found" this place through some coupons in the Argus. Thank you Argus! Awesome wings and equally awesome fries. We had boneless wings, a wrap, fries and onion rings. Their large serving of fries is enough for two and the sauces were yummy. We got an order of their traditional wings to go as well. The staff is friendly and, as they have written on their chalkboard behind the counter, definitely not "corporate" (like your average fast food place). Good music playing too (80s rock)... I definitely think we found a new favorite restaurant in Hillsboro!

  • Rich K.

Wow!! Great Hot Wings... Lots of sauces to choose from. I had the classic rock sauce and a Thai sauce which were both medium hot and super good. For those who like it really hot they can really fix you up with an in restaurant challenge. The slaw was fantastic and it helped cool things down a bit. Very friendly family atmosphere I'll be back.
