I don't stop by Panda Express expecting authentic Chinese food from a mixed staff of Asian and Spanish decent. I stop by here because I really like their Lo mein noodles and certain things they offer. They also cut their chicken into little pieces and I'm picky about the size. I swung through the drive thru because I was waiting on my boyfriend and I just wanted something quick. I initially ordered a small mushroom chicken, but after he offered me a sample of their ribs I got that too. The mushroom chicken had more zucchini than anything else and I only ate half but it wasn't too bad. Their ribs were pretty good though, tender and a little too sweet but with a hint of spice. At the end of the day you know what you're getting when you come to Panda Express and that's what I got. Happy Yelping...

This just became my new favorite fast food place. Tons of fresh and healthy options to choose from and a very hospitable staff. We started off with samples then I ordered a two entree plate with broccoli beef and grilled teriyaki chicken breast (sauce on side). For the side I got half steamed veggies and half brown rice. Fabulous!

Went in 15 minutes before close and they were out of just about everything. I do not want to go and get your left overs. If you say you close at 10:30 then make sure you can give out food that the customer wants. And also there were no apologies, all they said was "we don't have any chow mein what kind of rice would you like?" Big disappointment.

A bit disappointed. While I don't normally hit panda on a regular basis, from time to time it's not a bad guilty pleasure. However. They ran out of the passion fruit tea (which is usually my main reason for coming). This seems to happen at almost every location I visit. Guess it's a massive undertaking to check tea. The orange chicken was overcooked to the point of having in edible chunks. My wife's beef and broccoli had, and we counted, 3 pieces of beef. Keeping in mind, I paid extra for the shrimp for my daughter, $1.25 extra for the high end beef on my plate, and $1.00 extra for the orange chicken with bacon for my son. So, I would say I could expect better than what I did pay for. I will give them another chance, but I was not happy about the experience overall.

This is probably my boyfriends favorite place to go to (for Chinese food at least). While it can be lacking in flavor and variety, and can get expensive, it is a good option for decent fast food (when you're wanting something other than tacos or burgers).

Quick and easy. Decent price, but still a little high. Not the best Chinese, but when there little time and Ya really need something, it's there. Drive thru makes it convenient as well.

We are now getting into buffet strategies when we speak of the Panda. I find that the quality/consistency thing is, um, consistent in all the Pandas, a good thing, I suppose. I don't go here to have a dining adventure. I go for the things that I know they have. But back to its buffet-ness, you don't get to pick the quantity though they serve pretty big portions. No, the issue here is when to eat here. Product turn over, as they say. I prefer to stalk the Panda, circling around the steam tables as casually as I can to see what's been fizzing away and for how long in the troughs. If you are going for your veggies, give them a little time to completely cook under the little hot lights, those babies come out rather crunchy, fresh from the wok. The meat things with veggie things need a careful look; the meat is freshest when it is fresh, but again those crunchy veggies... I was taken completely aback by how fresh and perfectly cooked the shrimp were. A fluke? I'll try it again and get back to you, but if that is the standard, do give these a try. This was a fresh out of the wok score this visit. It pays to be exceedingly pleasant to the server that is scooping your comestibles. They are key. If they like you, you get the newer stuff and more of the good stuff and less of the filler. It' s like renting cars at the airport. If you are a phallic menace, you will get the crappiest car on the lot. This is the same in the Panda. I learned the vegetable rule this visit. I did not break teeth, nor lose my newest set, but my mouth was rather beat up for the experience. I chalk that up to good roughage and to be able to share this information with you, dear food readers. I love potstickers, and I have tried so hard to love theirs. They really are crap, but I keep ordering them with the hope that someday I will be rewarded. Watch the chow mien, too. If it has a bouffant fluffiness about it, shun it. Someone didn't pay attention to how long they were supposed to cook it. Or they were distracted by an old man circling the steam tables muttering. 2+. I'm rounding up for those awesome shrimp, your mileage may differ. Go. It's an adventure. Rolaids sometimes make a fine dessert item.

2.75. A step above "meh" and a step below "a ok". Finding lunch when I'm on the run and on weight watchers has proved challenging, especially if I'm trying to get veggies into me This Panda has a drive thru. Yes, it's fast food... but, veggies! For $7 and some change. I ordered Angus Steak somethingorother and String Bean Chicken, with veggies as my side ( you can also choose rice or noodles). Definitely a lot of veggies by making this choice. It's not GREAT Chinese food, but the string bean chicken had lots of tender string beans ( only a couple pieces of chicen) and the Angus steak was delicious ( I'm dying of mad cow now,per husband, but oh well). It had a few pieces of woody asparagus, but nice onions. The veggies side was broccoli, string beans, onions, carrots, and a couple pieces of cabbage and was nicely cooked if a little flavorless. Oh, wait, the carrots were on the raw side. But I didn't mind too much. The drive thru was fast, the kids were friendly ( man I'm old), and I was on my way in no time. Doable.

Oh Panda, my love/hate relationship with you continues (though Pandas themselves I love, no hate there). You are like the addictive drug that makes you feel good then you feel crappy as you realize what you just ate, how it will affect your health over time if you eat it continuously, and how hard it is to work off. Plus I read that MSG ages you, so why do I keep aging myself more than the natural aging I can't avoid !?! As it is I am not getting carded like I should! I feel like I am cheating, driving over there more often lately during my lunch hour, sunglasses, hat, trench coat on, always looking over my shoulder, worrying that someone will see me who I had previously scolded for not eating healthy, or someone I told I would lose the 8 pounds I gained. Ugh. Fortunately it's mostly local construction guys I see in there, Intel guys go to actual restaurants I noticed. At least one of my 3 entrees is always veggies, their crunchy so their not overly cooked to the point of mush and vitamin loss. That's a really good thing. My reasoning is if I get a side of veggies, the noodles and meat cancel out, though they don't...at all. Now 2 sides of veggies is better, but I gotta have my meat! Especially since their portion sizes decreased again, gah. The service is really good, John, a manager there, is super nice :) I have increased the stars to 4 being that I am not feeling as frustrated with the salt content as before. It's still crazy high, but at least not where it actually takes away flavor from the food. Please don't disappoint me Panda so I may keep the 4 stars. I am, of course, grading for what P.E. is and suppose to be, nothing more.

I hate reading these stupid reviews about this particular place because from my personal experience, coming from California, this is beyond the quality we receive! Weight watcher lady reviewing fast food chain?! WTF is up with that?! Argh, I guess some people just don't know how great this place is. This is a clean, quick and friendly restaurant that serves what they offer best they can. BTW, we came during lunch at 1pm and this place was filled with guests and it was never ending. The lines moved very swiftly as well. NOTE: GREAT PLACE (of its kind)

If you consider Safeway Deli Chinese Food impressive, or your local Chinese buffet to be true Buddha's Delight, this place just might be a good bet for you. It's nowhere near as economical as your average buffet, but I'd venture to guess the overall quality favors the Panda, if just slightly. The main advantage to the Express, 'sfar as I'm concerned, is the drive-thru. By the time you chug-a-lug thru the inside restaurant, you could be well on the way down the road, delicious if highly questionable,health-wise, drive-thru goodies bagged up and ready to go for ya. Time, people! It really becomes ever increasingly precious, the older you get! Shay-shay, Panda, for recognizing this and implementing it into your intrinsic business model.

Nice place fast service for greasy Americanized Chinese food. This is from a person that is from China.

I was in a hurry today and out in Hillsboro so I decided to get something quick and easy. This is my 3rd time eating at Panda Express and my 2nd time at this location. I got it to go and went home. The Chicken Egg Roll was pretty decent, but the entree, Kung Pao Chicken was extremely bland and not very good. The other odd thing was the amount of rice versus Kung Pao. A shitload of rice and about 3/4 of a cup of Kung Pao, it just seemed like an extremely small portion. Who wants to eat 2 cups of plain white rice? I ran out of Kung Pao way before i made it even thru 1/3 of the rice. Not worth 7 plus bucks that's for sure. They have that fruity ice tea which I personally HATE, I wish they indicated that on the menu. No need to go back........

Told they no longer serve BBQ Pork. Either the guy was lying, or they're stupid. Will NO longer go here. I demand my BBQ pig.

This location has great service (special shout out to Maria, who always seems to have a smile on her face) . It may be Chinese fast food, but the orange chicken and Bejing beef are crispy and tasty. The portion size is good and the traffic at this restaurant ensures the food hasn't been sitting around being heated. I initially gave this a three star just because I felt weird about giving a fast food place anything higher, but what the hell. I like this place enough to throw caution to the wind and give it four stars.

I'm a big Chinese food lover but had never tried Panda Express before. Upon a friends advice my husband and I decided to try it out. It was hands down the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten in my entire life! Safeway down the road over by Target has SUPERIOR Chinese food in comparison. So I expected this supposed "gourmet" Chinese ought to be fantastic because I typically eat Safeway's food when hungry for Chinese. They give huge portions for half the price and everything is moist and very flavorful. I don't know if it was this specific establishment or what, but we were treated rudely. The servers tapped their feet impatiently waiting for us to choose from their expansive list of like 4 items and followed and stared as we walked around the food court peering in at the crap they were serving. Perhaps she thought I might reach around and steal a pocket full of fried rice while her back was turned if she didn't keep her stink eye on me. At any rate, the BBQ pork was nasty, cold, tasteless and almost inedible. I found a short, black hair in my chow mien and my husband's beef was like shoe leather and couldn't be chewed. We ate on the patio where little kids were eating their rice and saying "yucky" and spitting it out onto the cement. Overall, a horrifying, disgusting, vile experience. Try Safeway! I kid you not! You will be shocked at the difference in taste and quality! Not to mention it being far cheaper and enough food to feed 2 people off one dish!

I like Panda Express, but this location is not very good. They are often out of main items. The last time I was there I ordered at the drive up speaker - 2 meals, both with mushroom chicken. When I got to the window the employee tells me that they just ran out of mushroom chicken and it will be a 10 minute wait. I expressed my concern, but then another employee came to the window and said it would just be another minute. I was irritated, because they should have told me while ordering that there would be an issue with our order...not at the window!! Anyways, I get the food and go home. When I open the containers I discover they gave me steamed rice instead of the fried rice that I ordered. The whole experience was irritating.

This location is way on the other side of Hillsboro, just on the edge of town in the Fred Meyer parking lot just off Highway 26.Food seems to be kept up to date - fresh and when its busy they hurry to get more stuff out. You have lots of seating including an outdoor patio. Service is decent.

this place is all the way out in hillsboro which is like farm land that is slowly being taken over by suburbia in all its glory - including panda express. so somewhere in the midst of getting lost and calling my bro for directions, i somehow ended up here last summer. i don't think i've ever seen a PE outside of a food court before, and get this~ it even had a DRIVE-THRU. foreals?! maybe it's cuz i haven't eaten this stuff in a decade, but it just all seemed so odd! i pulled up in my car and ordered some orange chicken, beijing beef (what happened to mongolia?!), and fried rice @ my brother's request. he loves this stuff. i took a couple of bites just for old time's sake... let's just say, nostalgia always makes things seem better. food was fine, wasn't bad~ it is what it is, and the drive thru was quick & friendly.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
