Awsome gyoza!!!!! You should try it! Chicken Katsu is great, too. And don't miss the free eff flower soup! I came to eat chicken teriyaki.(well, that is good, too.) But I need to other menu next time. Place is clean, nice people.

This was my first time here with my coworkers. It is a newer teriyaki place that was recently opened. The lady that took our service wasn't very friendly and I felt like she wAs rushing us to order. It was our first time here and we were browsing the menu. The decor was nice and had a warm feel to it. The place had higher ceilings and plenty of seating and was very roomy. They have free egg flour soup if you dine in for free. I actually liked the egg drop soup. I had the spicy chicken and my friends had the chickens teriyaki. The flavor of their of was very bland. While I liked the way the food was presented the flavor was very lacking in my spicy chicken. My friends agreed and said the same thing about the food, very bland. I am probably not coming here again unless it's a last resort and no other place was open.

PROs - They had free soup, the decor felt opened and clean, the price was consistent with other teriyaki places, and the presentation was nice. CONS - The food was bland, the customer service wasn't friendly, i felt like they were rushing us out the door, and they didn't even say 'have a nice day.' I won't eat there again.

A pretty good teryiaki place for lunch. Best deal is the lunch menu in my opinion. Flavors and portions are good and quality is on the higher end for restaurants of this type. I could do without the salad on the plate and they could improve that if they used something other than iceberg lettuce. The complimentary soup is ok. It was a bit heavy on onions, but tasty. I'm sure I will be back.

Is this place the finest oriental food I have ever had? No. BUT is it good? YES. In fact, the free egg drop soup is really amazing--not greasy, just good, and you can have all you like! The Mongolian beef was huge, with two scoops of rice and a side salad. For a fast food style restaurant, they also waited on us hand and foot, encouraging us to have more soup. We ordered two meals, but should have split one because they are huge. It's nice to have new options in Hillsboro.

Excellent and very friendly service. I really like free egg soup here. Spicy pork was really yummy, and, I will definitely come back again.

The few things I liked about the place was the staff was very friendly and I like the decor of the restaurant. Their 10 minute wait was really 40. As far as the food goes you can definitely tell most of their products were delivered frozen. I think this is the first time I've seen lima beans in fried rice. you can tell that they used a scoop of frozen vegetables medley right off the shelf to make this dish. Weird. They also use the same frozen vegetable medley to throw in the General Chicken Dish. I have never seen vegetables like this in generals chicken. Lastly I'm not sure if the white stuff inside the breaded chicken was chicken or if it was a bread ball. This review is only applicable to their breaded chicken with fried rice dishes. I won't return.

Very Friendly People. Fresh Food. Large portions. Tastes Great. Reasonably Priced. I ordered a combination plate to go, and it was alot of food. But not too much as I had a big apetitie. I am looking forward to my next visit.

It's always nice to have new lunch options near work. My friend and I came here for lunch and I had the lunch Chicken Katsu and she had the short ribs. Both were good and portions were huge! The lunch size was only $6.90 and I had enough leftovers for another meal. The Chicken Katsu was breaded just right and crispy. The chicken was tender and the sauce was good. You get a self serve Egg Flower soup when you dine in. Great place for lunch!

I found this place today as I stopped at the Local petsmart to see the kitties. They have good food. They give you free egg drop soup, it is good soup, not great but good. The food portions are large. I mean really large. The salad is a little weird, and I try to not get it. I would rather they served rice with everything. I am definitely coming back here as it is a good place to eat.

Very friendly folks, good food and easy parking compared to other places nearby. Great for a quick lunch that's not "fast food".

Fresh with good flavor and large portions. The teriyaki chicken and short ribs are delicious and enough for two meals. You get free egg flower soup while you wait. Very clean too!

Wife found this place recently and got take out twice now. Mix of Japanese and Chinese style dishes. Salad is good. So far have tried chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef and hot & spicy beef - all were good. Portions are generous. Rice is a little on the dry side (more Chinese style). Looking to try the short ribs and egg drop soup next.

Came in here with my mother and husband for dinner. Kind of a weird location, odd decor but who cares about that when you're looking for cheap asian food. What I can say about place is that the service was fast, and if you dine in there is free self serve egg flower soup that was pretty good. Unfortunately my food sucked. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it was incredibly bland. The sauce was very thin and flavorless, and left the breading on the chicken soggy and frankly pretty gross. I also tried my husband's chicken teriyaki and it was a bit over cooked, and bland as well. The potstickers were alright. On top of this, the woman who worked behind the counter was rude and abrupt. I wouldn't recommend this place. Go to Nara Teriyaki right down the road, in the strip mall next door. Much better food and friendlier service.

Nice change from the regular fast food Asian places, tastes great, free soup while you wait. They do a decent job for cheap eats. been in several times, and plan to be back.

Lunch line was long again but the food came out pretty fast. The spicy pork was so good, got to give it a try. And get a side of gyoza, very crispy not soft and mushy. I also found out that they have a kids chicken meal for the little ones.

When this place first opened the food was wonderful and the service outstanding. Recently went in to find a whole different staff and food quality lacking in every way. Teriyaki sauces use to be sweet and sticky....delicious, now just tastes salty and runny. Katsu was soggy and tasted old and reheated. We loved this place and had such high hopes that Hillsboro was finally getting some good places to eat at, now we avoid this place, even if the soup is free (which has also become bland, filled with potatoes and is semi-warm)!

Got an order of Hot and Spicy Tofu to go, it came in a big styrofoam box. It came with a cheap iceberg salad that of course needed its own styrofoam container too. The Hot and Spicy Tofu was ok if you like cheap, salty food. I would not get a to-go order from there because styrofoam is evil and only REALLY cheap restaurants use styrofoam (makes you wonder what they put in the FOOD)?

Side salad was clearly just washed but not properly dried, not appetizing. My entree was the hot & spicy chicken. They must have included an entire onion, which was undercooked. Portions are large but the food is mediocre at best. Wife had General Tao chicken which was served with thawed peas. Not at all impressed, do yourself a favor and skip this place. I gave two stars only because there was a lot of food, so if your standards are low and you're starved, you could do worse.

I have had lunch there yesterday and today. Yesterday the L1 special, Teriyaki chicken, two scoops of steamed rice, brown rice if you want, and a salad. Delicious, chicken was nice and moist. Today I had the chicken katsu, and again it exceeded my expectations. Dine in orders even come with self service egg flour soup, which is also very tasty. If you're in the Hillsboro area try this place out, it will not disappoint.
