Very disappointing to see Dairy Queen switch to this corporate menu so many years that we've loved and cherished the hills cheeseburger and also the queen cheeseburger and their baked fries bacon cheeseburger etc. now the new menu is just plain rubbish.... Not just all dairy queens but this particular Gary Queen hero here in Hillsboro Oregon on the corner of tualitin Valley Highway and Brookwood was one of the best Dairy Queen that I've ever had my privilege to eat at... Not to mention their secret sauce and they had the best marshmallow milkshake anyone could ask for... If anyone's listening Dairy Queen you need to change it back to the way to Hillsboro Dairy Queen was doing things because that's how it was the best that's the reason it was the best and all dairy queen should be at that standard and right now or pretty soon you will all be in the toilet

Great place for a casual dinner. Good food for the whole family, including magnificent desserts. This location is well cared for, it looks nice and is well cleaned. The menu now matches the usual menu for the restaurant chain, which offers new options such as Blizzard Cakes but also removes the locally-famous "Queen Burger" from the menu. Aside from the fact that they have Pepsi instead of Coca-Cola and the tables are a bit sticky, this is a great place to catch a cheap -- but tasty -- meal for Lunch, Dinner, or Dessert.

This Dairy Queen has the best service north of the Brookings location. We brought a team of 22 kids in unannounced and they flew in to action, making something like 396 ice cream novelties and making sure that all of our kids were taken care of. Great stop.

Bummer dude, this Dairy Queen USED to have a good entrance on TV Hwy, but then the city took it away saying they had been in violation with it being too close to the major intersection for the past 30 years! Now, if coming from Portland heading west, you have to turn right at the light to get in. Nice people! It has a funny little waiting area! They are two chairs directly across from the counter.

There is nothing better then a chocolate dipped cone!

Ok I'm going to preface my review with this statement. I've stopped eating beef. Given that it lessens my one gripe quite a bit, that they didn't have the flamethrower burger, they don't always have the national promotions. This is from about a year ago though. It is your standard DQ fare and done with consitency and a smile. For those who like their meet broiled, this one grills, so that part of the flavor is gone. But really, don't most of us hit DQ for the memories of soft serve dipped in sugary flavors? Or maybe a dilly bar, or parfait is speaking to you......I think I hear a banana split calling me who cares if it's 9am.

Today the food was 99% good. The fries especially were tasty, the chicken strips and ice cream treats were adequate. The only thing not very good was the hamburger. The quick and friendly service made up for the less than stellar hamburger though. The only other thing keeping this from a 5 star review is the fact that instead of the applesauce we asked for we received French fries.

We are here at least once a month for Blizzards. The food is fair but the ice cream is typical DQ amazing. One thing I like about this DQ is the small dining room. Because it is small, the staff works extra hard keeping it clean. The service is always friendly and orders come up quickly. Avoid the drive-thru (IMO); the line gets long and seems to move slowly.

This is a pretty busy location but service is typically very slow despite having a ton of people working. Consistent in regards to quality of their ice cream with the exception of items on the menu showing whip cream. Sometimes it will have it and sometimes it doesn't. A mystery every time. Regardless a ok place to stop for ice cream.

It's DQ. Stopped by recently with my son and had a blizzard. actually, kind of pricy when you figure that they have full meals for the same price. But it served the purpose of giving us a cool blizzard and that's what my son wanted. It's a bit difficult to get into the place now with the street realignment. If we ever have the desire for a blizzard, it's nice to have it nearby.

"Where's the beef?" Remember the 1980's Wendy's commercials? Yesterday I stopped at Dairy Queen for 2 of their $5 lunch boxes. My wife and I sat down about 20 minutes later to eat our bacon cheeseburgers. We were just about done when I asked my wife if there was anything that wasn't right about her cheeseburger. I opened mine, she opened hers, and neither one had a beef patty!!! I called the store immediately. Christine apologized profusely and offered two free replacement meals...without me even having to ask for the mistake being made right. Today I went back in. Christine again apologized and kept her word about the free meals. Everything was perfectly made and tasted great. Christine's great service - which is a rarity - will bring us back to Dairy Queen again soon.

Dairy Queens are pretty standard across the board as franchises are not allowed to deviate much from the general brand. That said, this particular DQ has somehow been disappointing me each time I go. At times I crave an ice cream cone with sprinkles. Who doesn't. They give me my cone but put the sprinkles in the cup and hand it to me separately. As you can imagine, sprinkles get everywhere when I try to pour them over my ice cream. Last night I got a peanut butter cookie dough blizzard with the twist ice cream. It came out looking like watery vomit and the train had clearly departed the 'beginning to melt' station. The lines are so long that it's not even worth returning the product and providing feedback. It's best to steer clear of this location.

Ok it's Dq. What can you expect? BUT if you want ice cream after 9:15 expect that they are prepping to close, rolling their eyes,at you as you come to the counter (when anyone is at the counter, they are all too busy cleaning up for close an hour before closing) and turning most of the lights off as you sit eating. Clearly, customers are last and their dining experience means nothing. These kids must have no managers...or the owner must want them GONE at ten but it's the worst financial savings ever.

I've been here several times. I want to love it, because I love Dairy Queen, but I just can't. My first disappointment usually comes from them handing me ice cream and then asking me to pull around while they cook my food. Normally I am ecstatic anytime I'm handed ice cream, but this is just a tease because I know I can't have it yet and I'm forced to sit here holding it, watching it melt, waiting. My least favorite part is that every blizzard I've gotten from this DQ has been melty even when I don't order food. It's always runny and I've certainly never seen them served upside down. Tonight I got a banana split blizzard and it was so runny that I had to take it home and put it in the freezer. Maybe it's the fact that I like fruit in my blizzard that makes it melty or perhaps it's a personal vendetta that Hillsboro DQ has towards me... Maybe they know I like my ice cream frozen and they just want to ruin my day. Either way it's disappointing and every time I stop by I seem to regret it.

This place really sucks. I went to get a blizzard and instead ended up with some cheese cake bits in vanilla soup. Wasn't even up to par as a milkshake much less a thick blizzard. What the heck? Like, blizzards are your thing DQ...it's what you're known for! I myself will not be going back to this location. The snobby brats that work behind the counter are rude too. I not sure anyone actually manages this place.

Well this was disappointing. I don't often eat fast food, and I guess this is why. The chicken strips would have been better classified as chicken nuggets, they were so small. The fries looked and tasted as though they had been sitting under the heat lamp for about an hour. I interacted with three different employees, all of whom appeared to be humorless, eye-rolling teenagers.

This particular dairy queen is horrible. I never had my order messed up so many consecutive times in a row. The people that staff this location are just completely incapable.

I'd like to start with saying I used to work here... 1997, when people still had customer service, and manners. Today my kids and I experienced a tragedy that left us feeling like blizzards for dinner would sooth our souls. the kids got in the car and went on their merry little way. First thing the lady at the drive thru was a giant B*the and had I been there she would have been punched in the face for her bad attitude. The blizzards were wrong and the kids told her and she basically called them liars and sent them home with shit we didn't want. so they come home and tell me and I of course call to complain and have them remake the blizzards and when the kids get their to pick them up she is still a giant B*TCH. She argued with them about the blizzards and how she made them right the first time. This time around the blizzards ended up being right (maybe with some spit) as an extra but whatever her day will be ruined when I call to tell management tomorrow how rude their employees are.

Twenty minutes wait for a chicken wrap lunch - in the drive thru. I had to go inside to get the food. Six people were in line at the counter, no one was helping them. The girl that took my order was sitting in the dining room on break. I asked her where my food was, she said she did not know, she was on break. Give me a break!!! The fries were cold, the ice cream was warm. This use to be a great place to get lunch, now it is terrible.

Started eating at this DQ in 1979 as a kid. Food was much better before the corporate overhaul. Loved the Hillsburger! Always a great place to stop and get a Blizzard for an ice cream lover like me. Pretty much just like any other DQ now, which isn't to say it's bad, just no longer unique to Hillsboro.

I spent 9 years working/managing a local Dairy Queen - was more than disappointed when the two medium blizzards I purchased were only 3/4 full. I'll stick to the Aloha and Beaverton locations where I can count on getting my monies worth.

Dairy Queen is a perfect example of a great 1950s ice cream/burger shop idea that lost its backbone and tried to get hip every ten years or so but is always late to the party. All DQs are franchised and this owner has gone to a lot of trouble to make this location as good as s/he can. It's just that there is no continuity to the design of the place or of the menu. They advertise "New Food Products!" on a banner outside; I'm always excited to try new "Food Products". I just didn't see anything unless you call chicken strips or a salad "new". Now if they came out with a diner menu or soups and grilled cheese, or anything else with an older vibe to it, all of this might actually hold together. So, let's get a bit more basic and see what we can find: How 'bout the food they do have? Eh. It's a '50s styled double cheese burger in a basket with a good sized pile of fresh French fries, and a fountain drink for less than seven bucks. Granted it was OK, the fries especially were nice. How many places within a half mile of this joint are offering the same thing? Despite the truly weird entrance to the driveway to this place it really just looks trickier than it really is both coming and going; it's quite easy really. The problem is there really isn't much reason to come in here. Maybe the sundaes and banana splits or those ice cream cakes are the reason. I'll get back to ya should the weather get about 50 degrees.

It doesn't look like much, and the parking lot is hard to get to, but this is like a small town Dairy Queen. Looks like it has the same folks come in every week and everyone was very friendly. The food was good. The burger menu is not really the same as other Dairy Queens. I got the Queen w/bacon. We also got tater tots. Everything came out on real plates served to our table. It's nice to see a fast food restaurant without all of the paper waste.
