We sat in the bar, had great food and great service. HUGE beer selection! Beer prices were reasonable. I've seen some bad reviews on here...and can't attest to any of those, but the stuff we got was delicious. They've got a great soup and salad combo; the wedge salad was crisp and had lots of extras. Fish and chips was lightly battered and flaky. I thought the portions were pretty big! Prices were very reasonable. I wouldn't go here expecting the highest quality ingredients because the prices are so cheap. But we were very satisfied and will go back and try other things on the menu.

I enjoyed it the first time. I ordered a giant 22 oz beer when I sat down. It was from the Pelican Brewery, which I love! I was really nice and toasty and involved in my conversation, so I didn't even notice the food took 45 minutes to arrive. "This food is great!" I proclaimed in a beer-induced stupor. "We must return!" Flash forward to the next weekend: the second time I visited this establishment. (Hey, it's close to my house and I'm lazy, okay?) This time around I drank less beer. The fries were soggy, the burger was greasy beyond belief, and my ranch dipping sauce cup was half full. That's not unforgivable, but I'm pretty sure they gave me food poisoning. I have been lying on the couch, trying not to puke, pretty much all day. I can't even believe I am giving this place two stars. I won't be returning for fear of getting sick again. Plus I REALLY hate soggy fries.

I ordered a bowl of soup vs. a cup of soup and the bowl was really huge but only had like a cup of soup in it. The worst part is they charged me $7.00 for that tiny bit of soup. So after tip I spent $9.00 on a cups worth of soup. The soup was good but not that good. So disappointed and feel ripped off. My daughter spent $15.00 on a small appetizer. Again probably less than a cup of food but it also included tortilla chips. Those are some expensive chips. I will not go to this place again. I work for a large company near by and had set up an event there but now that I know how over priced they are not again.

I had a steak dinner here the first time I checked it out....it was good. I have returned a few times for their happy hour....which is why I give it the 5 stars. The happy hour food is the best in town....and it has a good selection of cocktails/wine/beer on happy hour as well. I have ordered the fish tacos, oyster shooters, artichoke/spinach dip, grilled pepperoni flatbread, and hot scratch made donuts. Being that everything I've ordered has been delicious, I am going to try everything on the happy hour menu at least once. I will keep going back to this place, for sure.

A brand new restaurant from the same people os the Oswego Grill, Both restaurants seem to have a similar menu. The layout at Copper River puts the bar and its tv's front and center. They also have outdoor seating in the front and have enclosed the patio from On the Border. Service was great, the food was also good. The only complaint is that it was fairly loud inside. The menu surprised me, with its name I expected a seafood restaurant, The menu did have trout and salmon but also salads, a burger, ribs, mac and cheese. etc In all I was surprised at how well the performed as they had just ordered. This is a good addition to the area,

Great new restaurant. The Thai shrimp linguini is awesome. My only complaint is that it's quite noisy and bit hard to have conversations.

Tonight I tried another place I've not heard. First let me say I was not disappointed, but actually surprised. The atmosphere is a little loud only because the bar sits in the middle of the restaurant, so a little noisy but not awful. I tried their corn fritters, they were so delicious that they could be addicting. I had the bre and mushroom burger, which was quite tasty, with fries which were natural cut and seemed like they were made there and not from a frozen bag. I also splurged and had dessert, I took the server's recommendation because nothing wow'd me on the menu. I had the ricotta donuts, I know you probably are thinking the same thing I did after I read them on the menu and heard the recommendation. But....OMG these should not be called donuts. The are tasty balls of evil, with some powdered sugar and warm caramel. They were moist and light. I was very surprised. The server was good, he kept checking in and the manager even stopped by the table. So I would say service was solid. The atmosphere could be casual, business, or a nice date night. Though if on a date you may want to avoid the seats nearest the bar. Definitely will be back when in the area.

Poor Service and rushed to get us out the door. The food came out to fast. (I know, strange to say that). The appetizer arrived pretty quick and was very good. After the second bite our meal was being placed on the table, so we set it aside not finishing it. Not 10 minutes later and about 1/4 the way through our meal the server came and asked if we would like her to start us a desert. We declined and she set our bill on the table and asked if she could take our plates out of the way. My fork was half way to my mouth!! Clearly I'm still eating! 5 minutes later she asked again and my wife told her "No, I'm not even half way done with my meal." and she walked away without a word. About 5 minutes after her second attempt to get our plates the hostess walked by and asked us if she "could make some room on our table" and reached for our plates. Again we told her "no thank you" and she walked away looking frustrated with us. This was enough for us and we decided to just leave. They had empty tables and there was no one waiting to be seated so I'm not sure what the rush was. Maybe that is how they are trained to keep turning tables. In total, were were there less than 45 minutes for an appetizer, drinks and dinner. We will not be back and definitely not recommend this place to others.

Great service but the worst food. I got the steak tacos which if you took the percentage of the taco which was steak it would be under 10%. It was more like eating a spicy cabbage ranch taco. Had to scrape off half the stuffing of the second taco to be able to even taste the steak niblets. My wife got the trout and it's hard to make bland trout but Copper River was able to achieve it. They took even the fishy trout flavor out of the trout. But there was a silver lining they have 50+ beers on tap. I would suggest only ordering off the liquid menu while there.

My dad and I went in for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It was about 11:30 AM and there seemed to already be a lot of Intel employees enjoying their lunch break. This was my first time here, and my dad's second time. He complained that it was too loud in the main room so our waitress graciously moved us to a quieter area. She displayed great customer service; my father isn't always easy to deal with ;) I got the chicken fajitas and was pleased with the pricing and quality of the food. I like the relaxed, darker aura. Perfect for future dinner dates with my boyfriend! I love this new restaurant!

Copper River is a new place owned by the same owners of the Oswego Grill. We had heard they were opening a place out there and wanted to give it a shot. We were greeted at the door by the owner. That in of itself was nice to see on a Thursday night, but more impressive since that is the first time I have ever been greeted by an owner. I've eaten at dozens of places coast to coast and never met an owner. You can tell he takes pride in his place. It's clean, well decorated, and very modern. The pricing is perfect for our family. The staff was friendly, but service was a bit slow. We ordered mac and cheese, spinach and artichoke dip, an apple bacon burger, and friend chicken. Our appetizer came out quick enough, and our son's mac and cheese was good. The spinach dip was very good. I haven't had spinach and artichoke dip that good before. The burger was great as well. They do their own patties, and fries were good as well. The fried chicken is better than any I've ordered anywhere before. Hand breaded, hand trimmed, and cooked exceptionally well. They make their own mashed potatoes, and their own gravy. We were very impressed. You can tell they take pride in their food. It isn't the usual stuff a lot of restaurants import from companies like bagged mashed potatoes, dips, and frozen food. They really touch each dish. And it's priced for families to be able to enjoy it. We want to go back for happy hour some time.

Service was extremely slow and restaurant was not busy. Bland pulled pork Cuban not cold enough to melt the cheese. Bland hamburger. Bland salad dressings. French fries excellent. Kid's PB & J had crusts cut off so child in our group was happy. Service was so slow (had to say that twice so you are warned)! We won't be going back.

Super average/bland food; about what you would expect for a chain restaurant. Same goes for the atmosphere. Prices were slightly higher than expected, service was slightly better.

Another short term restaurant. These folks replaced Borders Mexican Restaurant and I expect based on our meals last evening someone will soon be replacing them. 7/19/15 Party of three for dinner. We ordered wine and a Calamari appetizer. When the appetizer arrived the wait person took our orders for the entrée which we expected would give us plenty of time to enjoy the Calamari. We were in the middle of enjoying the Calamari when a parade of staff arrived with our entrees. I was amazed at the speed of the delivery. I thought they must have had the meals setting in the kitchen waiting for someone to order them. All three of us had ordered a different dish. We had to push the Calamari out of the way so they could drop the meals in front of us. THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL TURNING THE TABLES! I had ordered the Grilled Wild Salmon which I think came from a frozen COSTCO package. It definitely wasn't fresh. The Rice Pilaf was good as were the asparagus. Our friend ordered the Mac&Cheese which was a grey looking goop that was barely warm. She hardly ate any of it and certainly didn't ask for a doggy bag. The only winner was my wife who ordered the Chicken Fajita, which she enjoyed. Good service - mediocre food. NOT A PLACE WE'LL RETURN TO. Maybe we'll check out the new restaurant that will soon open there.

My wife and I visited for our wedding anniversary. The staff was very attentive, the food/drinks were amazing, and the overall price was very reasonable. Among the items we had: The Porter Cheese Soup: Oh, my goodness that was delicious! Asian Steak Salad: Lots of steak alongside a generous amount of yummy salad. The burger was cooked perfectly and the hand cut fries were so addictive! When our server, Spencer, realized it was our anniversary he hooked us up with a huge complimentary sundae for two and a card signed by the wait staff. Not to be outdone, the beer selection was pretty good, and you can get a five-beer sampler for about $8. Five stars! We can't wait to go back!

What a fantastic place! We arrived around 6:15 on a Friday evening. The wait for a table was about 40 minutes, but we scored a table in the bar. Fiancé was thrilled to find 7 of his favorite beers on tap. He's usually consigned to one, if he's lucky. He was also happy to see that CR makes their club sandwiches with ham - an ingredient many restaurants leave out. He ordered a hamburger (no surprise) stuffed with bacon mac & cheese & topped with Gouda. He said it was pretty good. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon. It was good. The fries were addictively delicious. I'm only giving four stars, though, because my margarita lacked much flavor & I'm not really convinced of the presence of tequila. And while we liked the food, it didn't blow us away. Everything needed salt. We will definitely return. I really want to try the happy hour steak bites & the CR house salad. Both are really reasonably priced & sounded great.

This place is a decent independent restaurant in the Island of Orenco/ Intel that isn't some pretentious or obnoxious chain. The service here is great and the selection is decent. I really want to give this place a 3.5 star rating but it's Yelp. I definitely will try this place for happy hour because that's what everyone raves about.

I really want to like this place....we went first for only dessert. It was phenomenal. Cheesecake that is so creamy and wonderful, and the donuts--well they are not like any donut you have ever had. TRY THEM. Just do it. You know you want to. Take a leap of faith and order donuts for dessert! Tonight, we had dinner. Salads were good, beer cheese soup yummy....Hubby's salmon was sooooo good and the presentation wonderful. The steak however, I ordered blue rare and had to send back. I did tell the waitress "30 seconds a side--cold in the middle please." It came out very warm in the middle. Warm meat tastes....to me like sour milk. So I sent it back and out came a second steak. It was EXACTLY the same cook. Now just because you are cooking it to the temp you think it should be, if the customer sends it back, go more rare. Don't send out the SAME cook... By this time hubby was done with his meal so I just ate as much as I could stand and moved on to dessert. This all said, the waitress was awesome and a manager comped the meal. I just don't think I'll order steak there again. The rest of the food is awesome.

The boy and I came in here last week for dinner. It was fine. I was trying to think of a better word, but "fine" was all I came up with. It not bad, but it's not anything remarkably special. It's a nice spot. Maybe I should do 3.5 stars.... Hmmm. They had a yummy beer selection and our meals tasted great. I had the fish and chips, he had the burger with the egg on it (the name escapes me now). It was tasty. We had a great time. But, honestly, it just seemed like a small BJ's Brewhouse. They are so similar to me! They literally share the same parking lot and might as well be connected in some way food or drink-wise. Just seems like something a little bit different would go in that empty spot. And I'll say this (because it was noticeable), the service was shaky. The hostesses seemed SO nervous and things in general took a while to come out. But, it's a new place. That'll change, I'm sure.

This place is great! We were driving by and saw the banner advising they were open and decided to stop by. I love the interior, it is newly redone and very classy and clean. Our server was pretty nice, she came by and poured drinks within 5 minutes of us sitting down. We ordered the mac and cheese and then the special of the night, which was a pesto pasta dish and both were very tasty. I marked off one star for the parking situation because there was not enough parking in the attached lot to accommodate all diners. Overall though, great experience and great food!

What I was expecting at Copper River: LOUD ambiance, that the food would be a crapshoot and I'd endure a ridiculously long wait (we arrived at 6:00 pm on a Friday). What I experienced at Copper River: a LIVELY ambiance, but not overbearingly loud, the food was quite good and a wait time that wasn't bad at all. Some more details, in reverse order of how I just described them: as we arrived, there were several parties waiting outside and the lobby was about 2/3 full. I was greeted immediately by the hostess and she took my name (party of two). She said to expect a 25-30 minute wait, which we were prepared for. After chatting outside for about 15 minutes (and noticing other parties being seated efficiently) they were ready for us. Great! We were seated on the edge of the bar area, at a small two top next to a group of 4 and another group of 8 behind them. They can accommodate decent sized groups here, fyi. At this point I got to looking at the architecture, and I was interested to see how they'd transformed it from the former On the Border restaurant. It's unrecognizable from On the Border. Gone is the large wall separating the bar from the dining room, and in it's place is just the bar. There are some friggin tall tables (and associated chairs) in the bar itself, surrounded by standard tables. My wife mentioned that she'd avoid wearing a short skirt sitting in one of those chairs, and that having to drop her purse on the floor (out of reach) would be annoying. Yes, okay, acknowledged. So the interior is very open, and between the sports, music and conversations it's certainly not quiet. I didn't find it obtrusive at all. Beer list is quite good. After reading a few reviews, I made sure to ask if there was anything listed that wasn't on tap OR the inverse. Nope, they had everything available listed. Wonderful. They've got a couple ciders too, which my wife appreciated. They even brought her a couple samples to try in order to narrow down her decision. Food: I had the fried chicken entree salad. I gotta say, I was entirely impressed. The chicken was crisp and light, yet substantial. Very, very good. The greens, tomatoes and cucumbers were cold and crisp. The best part, strangely, was the application of the dressing. It's easy to have too much, too little or poorly distributed dressing when you don't ask for it on the side. Theirs was obviously carefully tossed before serving, and the amount was just spot on! Nice job. I asked for a side of their barbecue sauce for the chicken and can't recommend it enough. Unfortunately it was a pretty small ramekin so next time I'll probably ask for two or one large side. More BBQ sauce notes: it's sweet and fruity, without much of a spicy note at all. I enjoyed it. To be honest I can't even remember what my wife had. It was vegan, so who cares (HAH). I've been to the Oswego Grill before but don't really think the two compare favorably. I'm looking forward to our next visit to Copper River.

Finally!! Beaverton has a new, awesome place to eat!! The food is fantastic..specifically the grilled Caesar shrimp salad. It is delicious and my favorite thing on the menu. The service is always impeccable as everyone treats the customers as if they really care that you are there. We will definitely be back!!

This was our first time at Copper River. My son and I went there for dinner. The parking lot was full and we anticipated a wait. Surprisingly we were seat as soon as we walked in. I felt that the restaurant was too dark, we sat in a booth and even though there was a light, it was difficult to read the overly large menu. However with that said, the restaurant was clean and service was wonderful. Our waiter, Adam, was very knowledgeable about the menu and the preparation of the food. It's nice to have him recommend dishes he has actually has tried. I had the bison burger, my son had fish and chips. Both were amazing. The fish and chips were not greasy at all and stayed crisp through out the meal. The in house tartar sauce was very good. The bison burger had wonderful flavor, nothing was over the top. I would recommend this restaurant to friends.

The food is very mediocre... I had their "famous" fried chicken. I found it very greasy and it had the taste of old oil. Their coleslaw was completely tasteless and I noticed no one was eating it. The service and staff were good so I bumped them from a 2 to 3 star!

I delayed composing a review until I had tried Copper River a few times. The first week can be rocky as the new staff are being trained. I have been four times and will not plan on returning. The food is inconsistent. Their specialty is seafood. I ordered the miso salmon and the seared Ahi salad. The salmon tasted old. It bordered on spoiled. The Ahi salad was unimaginative. It was lettuce with seared Ahi pieces that were bland and dry. I tried their traditional fried chicken. The first time it was wonderful. I ordered it as a sandwich on a different trip. It was a chicken thigh cut of meat. It is advertised as a chicken breast. The breading in the center of the paddy wasn't cooked. It was mushy and soggy with oil. I ordered a beer sampler. They advertise that they have more than 54 featured craft beers. They may feature them but they do not HAVE them. They were out of one of the beers I ordered. The waitress returned and told me the tap on the replacement beer was "blown". I looked at the taps and noticed several repeated beers. They had three taps with Ten Barrel IPA. The service was inconstant also. I asked for dressing on the side and it was brought on the salad. My father ordered no ice in his diet soda and it was filled with ice. Everyone received their meals and one order was forgotten. The manager came over and apologized. We received a free dessert. I wish they had not done that because my father is a diabetic. I gave it a chance. I think I'll stick with B.J.s.

This restaurant is just your average, corporate, run of the mill place to go for expensive drinks and food. Nothing special. We definitely prefer other unique places around town.

Food was good, service was friendly. We had happy hour and the drink specials weren't announced and the normal priced drinks are slightly expensive. HH food - beef tips: comes with 3 pieces of beef and a small side salad. The salad had a lot of dressing but I prefer very little dressing and it was still tasty. The beef was tender, juicy, and delicious. 5 stars for this dish. HH food - fish tacos: 2 tacos that were slightly spicy. Good amount of fish and toppings. HH food - Bratwurst sliders: 2 small sliders on pretzel buns. Love the mustard and sauerkraut flavors added with the brat. HH food - Donuts: Delicious!! 5 fresh donut holes with caramel sauce. Taste reminds me fresh funnel cake, so delicious. 5 stars!

Way overpriced for what you get. I dined with someone who got a "bowl" of soup and there was probably not even one cups worth of soup in the bowl. She paid $6.95 for that. My appetizer was overpriced as well for what I got. I wasn't impressed at all and will not be going again or recommending to anyone.

Their stars are deceiving people. Should have gone next door to BJ's. I was so excited to see rainbow trout on the menu. I've had rainbow trout one other time in a restaurant and it was fantastic (brought me back to childhood). Rainbow trout at Copper River = HORRIBLE. Reminded me of frozen fish you buy at Costco with no seasoning what-so-ever. I turned the skin over to see if it was even rainbow trout because it didn't have that trout taste (I didn't see the pink stripe but hey I could be wrong). They even knew how to make the hazelnut topping bland - try roasting the nuts with some salt at least. Seriously I was so hungry I ate it feeling like an 80 year old in a nursing home.... :-( what a sucky, bland experience. Bill was $100 and my husband and I both hated our meals besides the app (clams in a red Thai curry w/rice). I was super excited for my meal to come out because the clams were so rich in flavor. Actually when our entrees came out one of the waitresses (not our waiter) just stuck my app plate in the clams and then was like oops sorry we're you done with that... I didn't want to even bother with her. My mother-in-law said she enjoyed her flat iron steak with a molasses coating but for me the meat tasted very gamy. The waiter was friendly so it didn't feel right to complain; we just won't be returning... had to at least give it a try.

Food was good, service gets an a for effort but happy hour may have overwhelmed the bar staff, they are a new restaurant so I gave Em a break on some of the wait time for beer during the rush. I sat at the bar, had the kung pao lettuce wraps from the happy hour menu, and the seared ahi, both were delicious and the lettuce wraps were a good value for the money. The guy next to me ordered a filet mignon which he said was worth the wait. Overall a positive experience, and their beer is cheaper than bjs. I'll definitely be back.

I'll have to admit to something here - I never got past the waiting area, and never got to taste the food. I'd read that this place was good - that the food was awesome, and the place itself a classy, upscale remake of the tired layout from the former occupant. So, last night, I tried to get in. (Operative word here is 'tried'). If you really want to eat here, you'll need a reservation. There are, evidently, legions of people who don't mind a deafening cacophany of uber-loud 'music', combined with people shouting to be heard over it. Ambiance was like a cave - everything in dark colors and little contrast. Don't go in there on a bright day if you've not been wearing sunglasses! The hostess (who appeared to be around age twelve), asked me if I wanted a seat - by the time she got around to me, I'd had enough ear-assault for one evening. I said, "No, thanks - it's far too loud in here." She offered to seat me 'in the dining room' - which is not separated from the bar and casual areas; it's all one open space. "It's no quieter there, either. No, thanks!" She kept talking to my back, asking me if I wanted to sit outside (ostensibly to hear rush-hour traffic on Cornell). With the advent of BJ's Brewhouse next door, I would have thought the market for this sort of thing would have been well-saturated in Hillsboro. Evidently not. So, if you don't mind eating dinner with earplugs, go ahead on. There are other, better places up and down Cornell in my own humble opinion - go seek one out. (I've given this place two stars instead of one, because hey - *I didn't taste the food*. I still don't know squat-all about that aspect of the place - but from where I sit, if you're likely to leave with your brain ajar from a 100+dB noise level, the rest is kind of moot).....

Nice place with a great staff. Got seated immediately and our waitress Madison was very nice and personable. The manager Phil was great and came and spoke with us and checked in 3 separate times. This is the kind of service that makes me want to come back and recommend to friends and family. Great food with fair prices. Thanks for a great dinner copper river.

Typical bar food basically no better than Applebee's but more expensive. I ordered a special salad that was a combination of romaine lettuce with warm vegetables and Panda Express style chicken for $12. The whole time I thought I could have gone to sonic next door for a better meal and I don't even like fast food. The waiter came over once and I had to get up to ask for things. I would never go back, ever.

We visited this newly opened restaurant on Friday for a happy hour with friends. For such a recently opened place, they had the service down pat. Happy hour specials were pretty broad, and the drinks and appetizers were great. I recommend the corn fritters. We ended up staying for dinner. We ordered fish and chips, chicken pot pie, and fried chicken. The chicken was so-so, but the other meals were very well received. We will be back.

OK, we went here on a date night a couple of weeks ago expecting to be wowed since everyone has been leaving 5 star reviews, including a friend of ours. To be honest, we were very disappointed. First of all, we were told the wait would be 25 min. Should have made a reservation. The actual wait was 45 mins. We were also told that even the smaller tables in the bar area were being seated via staff and not self-seating. However, there were a bunch of folks who went in and just barged in in front of everyone else and took seats regardless what they were told. When Brent asked the gal standing at the door if she was going to do anything about it, she said, "No". Shortly after that though, we were seated. The next thing I was disappointed with was the noise level! Horrible. Way worse than BJs next door. The food was a further disapointment. The menu read that the filet was "center cut". I'd like to know what center they cut it from because there was a big spot of gristle and fat right smack dab in the middle of my steak and it was NOT tender at all. I had to saw that meat to get it cut! Considering the price we paid for it, it should have been tender, juicy and to do die for. It was not. It was also choice, not prime. Regardless, even though it was cooked the way I asked for it, it was not good at all. The vegetables, asparagus, were the only thing cooked well. I had the mashed potatoes which were flavorless. Not a good meal for the price, to be sure. Brent had the salmon. The meat was a "little on the dry side", the asparagus were good, and the rice pilaf was "ok". All in all, if I could give this place 2-1/2 stars, I would. But, I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.

First time there was amazing!!! It was only open for three weeks at that time. Went there tonight and was very disappointed... Cold food, service was not like the first time. Very attentive the first visit from all the staff. Tonight, very slow service and it was not even busy... Had my food boxed up to take home to cook thoroughly!!! I was served raw salmon... Will I go back? Not sure! 150 dollar tab and I have regrets spending the money!

This place is newly opened and recommended by our über driver. Definitely not a mistake. We started out with the California Roll appetizer. The beer selection is extensive and diverse. For our main dishes we ordered the Flat Iron Steak and the Miso Salmon. Both excellent! If I am back this way, worth another visit.

I love this place, do not get it twisted. The food is amazing. Tonight I stopped in for a cocktail and ordered my favorite drink, a bulliet rye old fashioned. I assumed a restaurant of this caliber would be able to execute classic cocktails. Unfortunately tonight I was served a drink with muddled fruit and whisky. A common mistake for an average bar, not what I expected from copper river.

Had dinner here last night-- I had the steak fajitas, my husband had the meatloaf and we finished dinner with the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. When we showed up at 6:30ish it was packed (on a Thursday!) but the wait was only 10-15 minutes so we decided to stay and try it out. This used to be the old on the border restaurant and they have definitely transformed the building into a beautiful restaurant. We were seated at a kind of tiny table which made it awkward to not be in the walkway (9 months pregnant lady here), but we were able to slide the table back a bit to make it work. The noise level was high, but we expected it since it was so busy, and by the time we finished dinner and dessert (7:45ish) it was much quieter and relaxing. The server was super nice, very attentive, and offered us many suggestions as it was our first time there. Super polite-- GREAT service! The food was good, the menu had a nice variety, and it all seemed very reasonably priced. We both enjoyed our dinners- great taste and portion size. We would definitely come back here sometime in the future but we'd probably either come earlier or later to avoid the rush and noise. Great experience!

1st time hitting the happy hour specials, ..Cesar salad best I've had in years, the other bar food was fine..lil pricy, and no shot specials, but I do want to explore their happy hour menu some more.

Awful service! The waitresses were like Stepford wives, no personality and robotic-like. Hah. We had the happy hour food, a little too greasy and gave us all stomach aches. Not sure if I will be back or not to give it a second chance.

I can't BELIEVE I'm reviewing this place so highly. I tried the Mexican place that used to be here and got food poisoning...I wasn't expecting anything too spectacular to replace it in a strip mall. I was blown away both times I've been here. First time I got the salmon tacos and are every bite. Second time I got the miso salmon. I honestly have never had salmon cooked that perfectly. My husband got the fried chicken platter and was also really impressed. The coleslaw was delicious and not sweet. Drinks were great too, fairly large selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

New place that recently opened up. We took the family for dinner, unfortunately on a Friday night. Called, they did take reservations, however were booked up until much later. We went, they say 20 minutes, yeah right, 1 hour. Well, we got the meal finally and it was pretty good. The one thing that we did order that I can't recommend is the chicken fajita. very strong lime flavor and we didn't finish it. Other items were pretty ok.

Great new restaurant to the Hillsboro Cornelius Pass area. 50+ beers on draft and another 50 in bottles/cans. New aged american fare with great burgers, sandwiches, steak and seafood options. We had the beer cheese soup, which looked small when it came out but it is dense and packed with flavor. Our two entrees were the steak tacos and the stuffed burger. Both were tasty. I would like to try some of the other burger options in the future. We ended the meal with the fresh made doughnuts and the cobbler. Save room for the doughnuts they are delicious and they come with a fresh hot caramel dipping sauce. Will be back for lunch or happy hour as it is close proximity to the office.

We actually love this place, as do our kids. For the ambience, you'd expect a higher price, but it's very reasonable. Beer selection is great, food is excellent. A nice addition to the area.

Outstanding The owners of Lake Oswego grill have another hit on their hands Its less expensive than their other places but the quality and variety is all here I have no need to be overly redundant but I can assure you that this place will be here for many many years The arrogant abrasiveness of anyone suggesting otherwise will be obvious should you be fortunate enough to visit here For the sake of clarity my family and friends have visited here three times all ready and everyone has been pleased with the service and the food Actually pleased would be an understatement Our young waiter, I believe gary was his name, was quite personable- They train their staff well and I felt like he was interested in me as well as my family and friends Thank you for running a great restaurant!!!

My husband and I visited Copper River for the first time celebrating our anniversary. The food was good; however, sadly, I wasn't impressed with the corn fritters, they were a bit of a disappointment. I know they were fried, but didn't expect to have a greasy taste. I ordered I had the chicken sandwich, husband had the meatloaf, both were really good, the gravy for the chicken sandwich was very yummy! The wait staff was also very good, the one down side, it's very, very dark in the dining room, so if you're like me and a tad sight challenged, take out your phone flashlight so you can read the menu. We'll be back and try something different, maybe not so greasy / fried next time.

My mother, boyfriend, and I ate dinner at Copper River Restaurant, and we absolutely loved it. I had the club sandwhich, my mom had the fish & chips, and my boyfriend ordered the hand stuffed burger. Our server was very nice.Their happy hour menu looks awesome, so we will definitely be back to check it out.

My husband got home late from work and wanted to go out to dinner, so we thought it was a great night to try this new place we have been wanting to go. This all takes place at 8:30ish on a Friday night. Pulled into the parking lot and it was quite full, but we found a spot, so that was good. Walked up and saw the outside seating and wished there was more of it. Inside was busy and LOUD, but we got a table right away. They were busy, so that was a good sign. The hostess gave us our menus and told us our server, Jamie (I believe), would be right with us, and she was at the table withing just a few minutes. In reading my previous reviews, you will probably see the theme of me not liking LOUD places, so keep that in mind. Husband ordered a drink, a rye old fashioned. I declined because a place like this should have dark cherries for its drinks. Seriously, if you want to be 'up-scale' splurge on the good cherries for drinks. (Ok, I am super picky about my drinks too) The drink comes to us and it is 'dirty'. A good bartender doesn't muddle the orange into the whiskey, leaving only the taste of orange into the drink. An Old-Fashion of any kind should be clean and smooth. This drink is about the whiskey and not the fruit. Drink education done. Thank goodness I didn't order a drink, I would have had to send it back, and I hate having to do that! At this point they were lifting the blinds behind me. I tell you this for what I will say later... Our waitress came by again to see if we were ready to order, we needed just a couple more minutes. 15 Minutes later, sitting in this Loud place, another waitress came by and said 'looks like maybe you are ready to order'. She took the order for our waitress. The food came our Super fast.... hum, was it sitting frozen in the back and they microwaved it? Tasted ok... But does Potpie actually come out in less than 5 minutes? Amazing. It is now 9:30 and the hostess comes over to CLOSE the blinds... really? They just opened them and I said something to her. A few of the managers, and I think the owner, had taken a seat in the booth behind us to have dinner and stopped her from this. If the blinds are closed, how can the people driving by see you are open? And besides that, stop walking behind me! Lets shorten this story: Place is busy, a large variety of food on the menu, (a lot of which you don't see other places), tvs so you can watch your favorite game, limited outdoor seating, ok pricing. Why I probably won't go here again: (unless I could score an outdoor seat) It is Loud, the bartender messed up a whiskey drink, the food is ok, but not great and it is Loud... oh wait, did I say that already? Note to owners: It is great that you have a completely open seating structure, but if you hang something in between all of that openness, you will calm the noise without taking away from the open! And $5 for a cup of soup, seriously?

Actually self invited myself and my son to their pre opening event. Kind of rough, food wise, but decided to go back. Very glad I did. My wife and some friends came along and we all throughly enjoyed the experience. My wife and a friend had the fish and chips and we're pleased with the dish. I had the oyster shooters, they were very tasty. I also has the rare tuna salad, great presentation. Finally another friend had the appetizer sliders. They were very moist and tasty. The service was excellent and very accommodating, all in all a great experience.

We tried this out this out for the first time last night and expected it to be ok at best. But we were going out to eat fairly late and were in the area, so decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. I had the rainbow trout (very tasty and properly cooked) and my husband had the Thai shrimp pasta (he liked it; a little bit spicy and good flavor; shrimp were properly cooked, which sadly is pretty uncommon at many restaurants). We also had the dessert donuts and they were fun and delicious. Our server was fantastic - she was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Our food was served quickly but by no means were we rushed. We also thought the prices were very reasonable. It was a good solid meal with good service and we both agreed we'll go back. It's not the place to go if you are looking for inventive cuisine, but if you have reasonable expectations, I think you'll be pleased.

My son took me to lunch today. Our server was awesome throughout our meal. We had the calamari for an app. and we both agreed was probably the best we ever had. I ordered the fried chicken which was delicious as was the mashed potatoes that accompanied it. However the way it is served may look nice but causes the crunch of the chicken to become quite soggy toward the middle of eating it. I would order it on a separate plate next time. My son ordered the hot pastrami but asked for coleslaw instead of sauerkraut which they substituted with no issues and he loved it, He couldn't stop bragging about it. However the onion rings he had with it he thought were pretty bad. He left most on the plate. The place is beautiful inside. I will certainly return and would definitely recommend.

Wow. we both ordered the sirloin ~$20. I wanted to order the filet but I didn't want to spend $28 the first time there. It was good. It wasn't stringy which I hate it when it gets stuck in my teeth. It was cooked right, just enough mushrooms and OMG the potatoes. DID I MENTION THE POTATOES!!! SOOO good! Just perfect. I"m not into crunchy veggies but the asparagus was good. This never happens that both meals are perfect! We will be back...with my mother! Muhahahahahahaha! THanks :)

Finally a great place in Tanasbourne. Between this place and The Thirsty Lion they are both awesome. Our food was great and the service by Brandon was phenomenal. He was very attentive without being on top of us. A true pro. Loved the evening.

Being a culinary Student out at Oregon Culinary institute and coming in to dine in this restaurant I was impressed right off the bat! When I pulled up and saw your local fish provider delivering fresh fish. That was pretty awesome. The thing that I really enjoy about your restaurant is that you guys try to keep everything farm to table. Everything is made from scratch to order! It's flipping amazing! To have such a great restaurant out in Hillsboro now is just fantastic! You guys won me over! And man will I be applying for this fantastic restaurant! Keep it up you guys rock

I'm gonna start off by saying this place is amazing, I highly recommended it. We had a huge party of 10 go to the restaurant, but we called ahead and were seated right when we got there. The only issue I had was that everything on the menu looked so good, I was upset I couldn't try it all! The food was amazing, there was not a single complaint in the whole group. I had a stuffed burger (stuffed with Mac and cheese, and bacon!!!!) It was really delicious. Some people complain about not seeing prices, but honestly I'd say it's right in the middle of prices. Most burgers were like $10-13, sandwiches were like $11, and fancier steak dinners were on the higher end around $16 I would recommend this over most other american restaurants in this area.

Absolutely awesome! Great staff, great food, and amazing drinks. Pretty sure I've been there about 5 times now, since I live pretty much right across the street and I can't think of a single thing I didn't like. The staff is super friendly and always make sure you're happy with everything and the manager comes around and makes sure you are being well taken care of. The inside of the restaurant has been completely re done and looks beautiful :) i definitely recommend giving this place a try, it won't disappoint.

Found this place by mistake. Pretty good. Didn't get Happy Hour due to time I was there. Had a wedge salad and a beer. Both good. I plan on repeating when time permits. A trifle spendy. Great service from Madison. Wifi was quick and easy. If they keep it up I'm sure I'll review again with a higher rating.

We went there a few weeks ago and I was less than impressed. They sat us at a huge booth, seeing that I had a baby in my arms. They provided a booster seat...for my baby. I told them he was too small for a booster seat and needed a high chair. The hostess said she could not give us a high chair because the booth was too high. Really, her attention to detail was amazing. She didn't even offer us a different table. It wasn't super busy and there were tables available. So there we were in a huge booth trying to keep a one year old in a booster seat. We had an appetizer that was beyond salty. It was terrible. We finally got our dinner after waiting for what felt like forever. My burger wasn't good and my husband got a sandwich that was pretty forgettable. The cold air was on full blast. We were freezing. I had high hopes but honestly, I won't ever go back.

I never write reviews but I guess after numerous visits I should. The food is FAB!!!!!! I mean seriously I love this place and the happy hour is phenomenal. The reason I am giving it 2 stars is because I am a server and have worked in the restaurant industry for some time now. The service is awful, I have been waiting for my server to greet me for 10 minutes now. I always have to ask for everything and have had my orders wrong numerous times. I feel as a server you should always try to be ahead of your tables and customers so that they don't even have to ask. I hope someone comes across this that can do some good change with the staff! I do love this place and will continue to come just trying to give a little encouragement to staff!

We came here on their opening weekend. We had to wait since they had some reservations they had to fill, not sure what that was about but we didn't have to wait a half an hour for a table and they said normally, all seating would be open. We had the pulled pork nachos which were really dry but still tasty. We split the Top Sirloin Steak..the food was good but nothing amazing. Nice to have new options in the Hillsboro area though since it can be really limited. A pint of beer is $6 so pretty spendy.

It is very hard to find a nice restaurant in Hillsboro, but look no further. I had lunch here today, the chicken fried sandwich with country gravy. I can't wait to go back for dinner. The only thing better than the food was the staff. Dominique was wonderful, and made me fell at home. Thank you for finally opening a nice restaurant in Hillsboro.

They are open today 4/14. Stopped by for lunch with some folks. Sampled the chicken pot pie (the owner stopped by and said it was his grandmothers recipe- it was gooooood) and the pulled pork sandwitch.. Both were great! Service was great as well since they came by to ask us for refills... Better than BJ's..... They need more flat screens to bring in the sports crowd.. That's my only gripe.. I love Thirsty Lion but the TV layout is not the greatest....Buffalo Wild Wings has the TVs but not the food IMO... Also it's a walking distance from the Springhill Suites so that's a plus for me while I'm work travel....

First time here and would definitely return! Service was great and the staff was super friendly. They have a solid happy hour menu and everything we got was delicious (fish tacos, spinach artichoke dip, kung pao lettuce wrap and oyster shooters). What's great is their happy hour is everyday. Restaurant was nicely decorated as well.

I'm curious how others got such a wide assortment of entrees, desserts and such at this test run opening. We were sent an invite to attend this event since we live in the area and after reading about the owners current Lake Oswego Grill were very stoked to get to try this place out. Great promise, however... *Attending required making a reservation (as room permitted) so I called it in 2 weeks prior. Just to be safe I called in earlier that day to double check on reservation. Good thing since they had no record of it. They were able to fit us in anyway, but not a good start. *On arrival we were greeted by numerous enthusiastic hosts, wait staff, etc., not surprising since this was a practice run and they were interested in making a positive first impression. Don't blame them, but doubt how realistic or sustainable this is. *We arrived a little early in hopes of maybe getting a drink at the bar, but we were whisked to our table by multiple personnel with waiter immediately introducing himself. It seemed a bit desperate, but understandable given the pressure they must have been under. I suspect they will relax as time goes on, but we felt rushed. *Presented the complementary menu and offered exactly 2 entree options, instructed that we had to choose one each, had to be different. A fried chicken salad and flat iron steak. I guess if they're trying to practice food preparation this makes some sense, but would have been nice to be offered a couple other options. My wife was a little irritated that she felt obligated to choose the salad, and of course I insisted we would share. *We ordered a couple of drinks while we waited for our salad course. Great beer selection so I ordered a good ipa, my wife attempted to order a standard gin martini, you would think. When the waiter asked if she wanted "salt on the rim" we became a little dubious. She instructed she wanted the martini "up with olives" and off he went. What showed up was some watery glass of something (I couldn't even taste gin) with no garnish at all. While I couldn't fault the 20 something waiter for not knowing what a standard martini is, any bartender should know this drink. We sent it back, inexcusable. She ordered a beer instead. *Wedge salads arrived. Not bad, could have been drained a little better, too soggy, but tasted good and we were hungry. *Entrees arrived. My flat iron steak was fine, though much more potatoes and fried onions then steak, but well prepared, cooked medium rare as I expected. 4 asparagus spears? Really? Chicken salad was, well, a chicken salad. Nothing to shout about. We split our meals. I cut into a piece of the fried chicken, popped it into my mouth, and just as I began to swallow an unmistakably taste of rancid meat was detected, too late to abort, I had already swallowed it. No more for me. *We saw the dessert offering on the regular menu which looked intriguing (this was before my chicken experience) but no mention on our limited menu offering any, though it looked as if other patrons were getting some of the donuts and other options off of the menu. Guess we weren't included in this club. To add insult to injury, $9 per beer? While we weren't provided the option of a tall or regular, we were served talls for the price of an entire 6 pack apiece. Thankfully we weren't charged for the good (I was curious how much they would have charged for the "martini"). I would have thought there would have been some survey provided if they were really interested in customer feedback (I would have provided some ;-) ) but nothing, so here I am on Yelp. I really hope they can get things worked out here, there's a real need for what they're promising. I'll go back sometime in a few weeks and hopefully update this review with an upgrade report, but so far not so impressed.

This place is truly impressive. I made a same day reservation for 12 people with no problem. I called back hours later to change the reservation to 6 because of a miscommunication with no problem. The entire establishment embraces the happy hour time! Often you are restricted to just the bar area but not here - they want to bring the happy! And they do with wonderfully exceptional service! Seriously, everyone that helped us was great. I can't say enough nice things about Leah. She really is a star and she knows her beer! Even the owner came by to check in. He has put a piece of his heart into the restaurant and it shows. The only weird thing is that there is no price listed for the beer. It makes sense because of all the rotating but still a little mysterious for those of us who might be on a strict budget. Hard to be discreet when you have to talk $ each time you order. The food is excellent. There are plentiful beer choices. The service is outstanding. We left a bunch of happy campers and will most definitely be back!

After waiting over an hour to be seated, because they "forgot about us" the service was really good. The food however was bland and boring. The beer tasted watered down and the cider I ordered was undrinkable. Also, the music was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Went there for the first time with my boyfriend on a Friday night. They said dinning seating would be 10 min wait - so not bad. However, we decided to go to the bar and seat there. Food was ok, kinda overpriced. I ordered Fried chicken - and would rate it 7 out of 10. Good flavor and crispy but too oily. My boyfriend ordered fish and chips and it was average tasting. Good service, nice atmosphere and our waiter was great!

Tried this new concept spinned off Oswego Grill. The restaurant is like a lodge setting ( think Bend Or) with a magnificent bar specializing in the top brews. Menu is huge with great items and big selection. Walk in and the greeters are terrific. Server knew the way of the land in his new digs, salmon was fantastic. They don't skim on portions. Caesar salad is ice cold and rocks! They formally open on the 16th. These restauranteurs know what they are doing here.

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I gave this place a try. I tried the filet and I wasn't disappointed. It was cooked to perfection, the portion was large and both the mashed potatoes and asparagus were exellent. My girlfriend, who is extremely picky, had the chicken fajitas we agreed, they were terrific. I was glad to see the mean was prepared with whole chicken breast and all the usually trimmings. The fajitas were much better taste and quality than most mexican restaurants. My girlfriend was happy with the food and I ended up finishing them for her. We will definitely be going there again. Also, the Copper River has a very large selection of beers on tap.

We've been patrons of Oswego Grill for years and so we were excited to learn that the owners were opening a restaurant at our end of town. We were hoping the food, ambiance and service would be as good at the new restaurant as it is at Oswego Grill. We weren't disappointed! My husband had the bacon wrapped filet mignon and I had the grilled skirt steak with a soy glaze. Both entrees were served with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and they were both delicious! The meat was top quality and very tender, and the sides were delicious! Our meal was topped off with a wonderful apple crisp. It wasn't too sweet and the apples were the star of the dish! It was topped off with ice cream and caramel sauce. Yum! The new restaurant is beautiful: a copper ceiling over the bar, beautiful lighting, and lots of comfy booths! As nice as the atmosphere was, the thing that made our visit exceptional was our server Samantha. She was attentive, made sure we had everything we needed, and went out of her way to make sure my husband's allergies were accommodated. We're so excited to have a restaurant of this quality in Hillsboro and we're looking forward to our next visit!

We were hoping for the best, but let down. Took way too long to get our food (almost an hour) and my soup arrived slightly above room temperature. The items were too pricey, especially since I tried 4 of the items our family ordered and NONE of them were special or memorable. The wedge salad was poor, especially compared to the benchmark, Outback. No one was impressed and we will not be back even though it is right in our neighborhood. Disappointing.

Wow! Fantastic dinner was had by the whole family. I had an amazing bacon wrapped meatloaf, my wife had salmon, and the kids had mac and cheese x2 and chicken fingers. Not one complaint from anyone! Will be back as I want to try the fried chicken and the assortment of burgers. Happy hour prices/selection looked good, will be back for that too. Service was great too, and the owner even stopped by our table to say hi as it was one of their first nights. Did I mention the monster banana split sundae the kids went bonkers over? I confess, I did too.

My husband and I have been here twice now. Wanted to give them a little bit of time after our first not so good visit. The second was a let down as well. Both visits we were greeted by an entourage of overly excited waitstaff. First visit (3 weeks after opening)our waitress was helpful but she talked SO much, on and on about everything on the menu. I get, your trying to sell the new place, geesh! Even the chef came out to talk to us, which we thought was cool at first until he kept talking about the food. We went the whole meal & were barely able to speak to each other. I had a Cuban sandwich that needed serious sauce, very dry. The "pickle" was just 1 small slice of pickle skin...rather lazy if you ask me. I took the other half home and doctored it up the next day with mayo & dijon -much better. My husband had a popsicle that you dip into spicy beer, tasted ok but felt really silly eating it. Kind of gimmicky. On our second visit I had the steak salad. I eat gluten free a lot of the time due to inflammation issues. Was going to get a burger. The gf bun (which the waiter said was smaller) was going to be $3 extra. I said ok & ordered the fries, he said don't have any gluten free but could upgrade to a different side for a few dollars more. Geesh! It's lunch & I'm already out $20 for a burger & side??! Got that steak salad instead. He removed the tortilla chips without asking because the had gluten in them. I asked for a side of them, he brought me a few pieces. :-( One of the blander salads I've ever eaten. Supposed to have a lime vinaigrette on it...more like 1 drop of lime 1 drop of oil. The steak was terrible, zero seasoning and very chewy, some pieces I couldn't eat. My husband "the carnivore" didn't even want it. The husbands burger tasted weird, like it had a pound of butter in the meat....and not in a good way. Fries were ok. We kept receiving everything from a different waiter, can't tell you who actually was ours. Maybe the guy who kept awkwardly hovering waiting for me to finish my salad after my husbands plate had been cleared? His little spin moves again & again made my husband & I both very uncomfortable. We both agreed then & there that we would never be back. For the high price & poor quality of food & waaaay overzealous waitstaff...we agreed the only way we might return is to try cocktails at happy hour and maybe and app or two (see if those are any better). Super bummed, was really hoping to have a new place out here after bad experiences at both bj's & thirsty lion several times. We'll just continue going to abv or making the trek into pdx for some decent grub.

Went for the soft opening and staff and food was amazing! Returned today for happy hour and boy it was delicious, same five star service but this time a great menu! We had the cesear salad (on par), spicy Mac and cheese (very delicious and not too rich), pulled pork sliders (great taste and Cole slaw awesome compliment), fish and chips (taste the freshness), and a flat bread pepperoni pizza (delicious), overall great atmosphere, service, and food. Will be back

Where to start.... Waiter was super attentive, never had to ask for refills and had a great personality. Could tell he wanted us to have the best dining experience. The food was absolutely delish! Everyone I was with loved their food as well. I had the chicken dinner-YUM. Super big portions! Friends had the brie mushroom burger and club sandwich. Loved the fries, they make them there, and the coleslaw. The only thing I didn't like is that they had way too many things that I wanted on the menu, so i'll have to go back. (ha) At the end if our dining experience, the owner came over and asked how everything was, then told us their story about how they started their restaurant. It's so nice to see someone so passionate about what they do. Hats off to you for living your dream. I'll definitely be back.

Horrible experience, will never go back. Food was bland and had no flavor, the staff lacked normal serving etiquette and problem resolution. They kept pushing there food on us, and refused to serve drinks unless we eat more. We paid our bill and walked over to BJ's, such a bummer. Beware.

I really want to like this place... It's so close to home and generally the food has been really good. I think this is my 5th visit since it has been open. The problem is there are mistakes every time we come here. You expect that in the first few weeks a place is open, however it's been open months now and does not seem to have improved. One time our dinner came out before the appetizers. Another time we ordered appetizers, received them and finished them before the server returned to take our dinner order. There has also been several mistakes like, no cheese on my daughters cheeseburger. The waitress brought us the check and didn't offer dessert. Most of the staff is nice but seem terribly under trained.

Great food and great service. All the waiters and waitresses check up on you even if they're not assigned to your table. The apple burger is delicious.

Went to Happy Hour and tried some appetizers. Really liked the Beer Infused Brats - very tasty. The Kung Pao Lettuce wraps were both good and disappointing. The lettuce was limp and falling apart - which took away from the really good flavorful chicken. If they can fix the lettuce it's a killer dish!!! Made my boyfriend try the donuts and OMG those are the bomb - literally melt in your mouth goodness!! The service was excellent - Art took very good care of us. The only other thing I would suggest is if you want to have a really good time - get your drink on before you go - the drinks are small and very very pricy!!

I love this place! I have never had bad service here. I love when i read other ppls reviews but then i go on their page and all they do is leave bad reviews. I cant take their advice if they dont have a good variety of reviews in all honesty, or when you review the place and havent even tried their food yet. I have been here many times. Since they have been open. At least minimum of 2 or 3 times a week. Everything that we have tried has been so AMAZING. Nothing has been bad or wrong so far. This isnt a up scale restaurant it is a very casual place. Good for families or big tables great variety of food. Good selection of music a little loud but nothing to crazy not like in a night club or something. Everyone is so very friendly and nice. Ive tried over 15 dishes at least and have loved every one of them. Outside seating is small would like more but very nice no complaints. They dont forget when your outside like some restaurants. Price is very reasonable and affordable.

Wow. I ate here two days in a row with my girlfriend since they opened. Came in opening day and went in again the next for lunch. Decor is great. Food is great. Staff is friendly. Locally owned and operated. What more can you ask for?

Food was ok this time, some of the calamari was cold. Not the whole order, just some of it, weird. The service was not as good and it is taking forever to get the food. It's busy but that is no excuse for this kind of wait.

I have been here twice so far and both times have been amazing. There is so much to choose from on the menu and the service is great. Everyone is so friendly there. I had went for my birthday yesterday and when they found out that it was my birthday, they brought out a "surprise"- a fruit and chocolate sundae along with a card signed by all the staff. They really go out of their way to make sure that their customers are happy and I would recommend this place to anyone. Still dreaming about that PB and J burger! And get the coleslaw- you won't be disappointed.

I would never eat here again. We ate lunch on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was not overly busy. Our food took 22 minutes to arrive. We mentioned the long delay to our server, and the manager came out to apologize, but did not adjust our bill for the inconvenience. The bruschetta appetizer was good. My grilled romaine salad was soggy, and very heavy. My husband had the Cuban; for a signature item it was not very special.

Service is everything! After last week the bar was set high and my husband and I were disappointed today! Took forever to get my cocktails, ordered the Salmon Tacos and were not as good as promised. Manager was visible but not attentive, didn't notice our long wait, empty glasses on tables, no eye contact with patrons and no smiles. Really? Food service managers need to pay attention and help their staff provide good service. With all the competition in the area, I predict we will try another venue for our next trip to town.

Been here twice. First time I got the Cuban Pulled Pork sandwich and the second time I got the Mushroom burger. Both times they were amazing. The service was great, environment was friendly. I greatly enjoy this place and glad they took over the previous establishment.

We met friends here for happy hour. The restaurant is very pretty inside and the staff is very friendly. The happy hour menu had a great selection. The steak bites were yummy and tender. The other plates we got were equally as delicious. The owner of the restaurant even stopped by and introduced himself. We finished the meal off with the donuts and caramel, which wee really great. We are already planning a trip back. It's great to support a local business that is really doing things right!

Great place to eat. Nice staff - great waiter. And what a nice surprise - from 3 to 6pm they have what they call "Happy Hour Food." I would call it "Pub Food." Wonderful portions - great selection. I had the Kung Pao Chicken Lettuce Wraps and wife had fish tacos. Both were great. Will definitely come here again.

We thought we'd try this restaurant, as it was fairly new and we'd never been there. The interior is nice and so is the wait staff. However, there were a couple of problems, with the servers and the food. When we received our appetizers, we were not given any plates. Our server went by and saw this, but never said a word. There were several of us, in our party. All of our food, was not brought out by our server, which we had no problem with, except the main course was brought out, half at a once. We were waiting for her to shortly return with the other half, but there was quite a long gap in between. Also, one order had a special request and she was not sure which one she had and told us to look. The food was not what we'd hoped for. Burgers were dry, with very little aioli on them, onion rings OK, but not great. In the end, it was an OK place, but not one we would be going back to, any time soon. The server was left the normal 15% tip, but I did wonder why I was tipping someone who only brought our drinks and not any of the food items.

Being located right next to BJs, I couldn't help but compare the two restaurants. This actually works in favor of Copper River since BJs is awful in my opinion. Copper River replaced On the Border and only the interior of the building was altered, so the space to work with was limited - this makes the restaurant feel slightly cramped, especially in the bar area. The lighting is dim and reading the oversized menu (small font, large page) was straining on the eyes. On the upside, the staff was welcoming, which I found pleasant since most of my experiences with BJs staff have been appalling. Regardless of how courteous the staff was, I could not overlook how uninformed the staff was of the food when service started. I came to Copper River for lunch service with three other friends and we all ordered burgers or sandwiches. One friend's plate was missing a pickle, another was missing jalapeños, and I got a sandwich I did not order. I had requested the traditional fried chicken sandwich, which the menu had described as having their made-from-scratch country gravy. The sandwich I received did not have gravy, but instead had some indistinguishable aioli, which I found rather bland and unpleasant since I was expecting amazing gravy. I then asked our waiter about the gravy and he said that the sandwich did not come with gravy and that the gravy was only used on some steak on the dinner menu. Upon leaving the restaurant, we checked the menu and confirmed that the traditional fried chicken sandwich was in fact supposed to have gravy. Aside from the mix-up, the sandwich itself was decently crafted. The chicken was moist, and the ciabatta roll was nice but I'm sure a ciabatta sandwich at Jack in the Box would have been just as good, for half the price. The fries were soft and limp, and were somewhat similar to the fries at Five Guys, if you are into that kind of thing. We also ordered an onion blossom, which we all thought was the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, like everything else, the onion blossom was not without flaw; it was nice and crispy, but part of the onion was raw. We only noticed at the end, after we devoured most of it. We tried to cleanse our palates of the raw onion with water, which just left our mouths with a worse metallic aftertaste. Commenting on the water may be a slight overextension of my distaste over the disorganization of the service, because that just might be how Hillsboro tap tastes like. It feels like the restaurant is trying to compete directly with BJs with the dimly-lit bar/restaurant atmosphere. Copper River seems like a mishmash of concepts since the menu includes selections ranging from sushi appetizers to steak dinners. Overall, Copper River seems to have a more upscale approach to dining, whereas BJs seems more casual. This is apparent as the menu has more pricey selections such as a 30 USD cut of filet mignon. The sandwich, which came with fries and a pickle, was reasonably priced at 13 USD. I was filled after finishing the plate, but I did not find anything outstanding about any part of the meal. I would definitely consider coming back to try the other menu items, but I would hold off for a while until the restaurant is able to iron out certain details first. Most of my distaste is from receiving something I did not order and the staff suggesting that I had misread the menu. I understand that a restaurant may have difficulties on the second day of opening, but seriously, it feels like amateur hour here.

I would give this place a 3 1/2 stars for the food and the extra 1/2 star is for the nice waitress. This restaurant is on the smaller size compare to BJs but I think it gives it a cozy atmosphere. The food tasted okay. Nothing that scream to me to want to eat it again. The apple cobbler is good and my husband Caesar salad was not drench with dressing. Unfortunately my salad was soggy and my salmon tacos was okay. If I was the owner I would not have salmon as a choice for tacos. My husband had the fried chicken and it was okay. Overall we will come back to try their hh menu.

I would like to point out that there is no lottery here....Big Plus...now on to the bashing reviews....First of all people, don't bash a restaurant the first 2 weeks they are open...there are growing pains that you idiots that have never worked in the industry would understand. New cooks and servers need to get the menu down pat, waiting a few extra minutes does now mean a 2 star review, nor does coming in on a mock service night and getting free food, and having to pay for your beer deserve a 2 star review, Also, if you don't drink, don't give a 3 star review for a happy hour that insists you pay for a beverage....do you really think restaurants promote happy hour food for their own good? It is supposed to promote business, and make ends meat. Also, Briana if you want a 2 USD beer, go to Chevy's. Hey Simon, the 2nd day of opening deserves a second chance, let them get their feet wet, you tool. Your first review could have waited. Tom R., have your idiot son eat some veggies, it might be good for his system, and again wait to give your first review on yelp once you've understood the growing pains of a new restaurant. Now on to Karl, yep Karl who wants to give a 2 star review on a free meal.....Major tool....enough said.....read her other reviews, and she has very little positive about anywhere, probably looking for a freebie, seen many like her in the past. It was free douchebag! Hey Steve A., not every restaurant puts there prices online, but I would think that Copper River doesn't want your cheap ass in there anyways. And on to Liv....reallly? you had to wait a whole 22 minutes for your meal? The travesty?! You mentioned the absordantly long wait to your server, and the manager didn't comp anything?! Would the review had been higher if you cheap ass would have been comped? 22 minutes, totally unacceptable for a new restaurant!! Now on to my opinion, I had the oyster shooters, sauteed prawns, and tuna app. All delicious. My only critiques are there are too many stools at the bar, space them more, and when you go on a wait, the drink menu is way too labor intensive. It takes away from your bartenders doing their job of focusing on bar guests. Overall, Copper River is here to stay
