My boyfriend and I finally tried this place a couple nights ago and I've been trying to find the time to write a review (oops) because this place deserves it! We walked in and the staff was super friendly. I was nervous because I had heard that this place has been packed since it opened but we went at the perfect time. There were open tables and only one person ahead of us in line! I ordered their cheeseburger with fries and my boyfriend got the 12 wings with two different sauces. I was nervous to take him here because he LOVES wings and some of the reviews on here said that they were far too smokey. Here's the thing though, I can't even remember what sauces he ordered with them because we didn't even use them! The wing by itself was THAT good! After I tried one I kept asking for more! They were sooooo delicious! My cheeseburger was great too! The fries were just okay. They had good flavor but they were far far too crispy for my liking. That didn't sway my thoughts on this place at all though. The cheeseburger and wings were good enough for me! Next time I HAVE to try the garlic parmesan wings! The pictures on their instagram make them look AMAZING!

I am a huge fan of this place!! Let me tell you briefly why I am a huge fan. Very high quality ingredients, especially the grass-fed beef. I am a very conscientious eater, hence I am selective about where I eat and the businesses I support. Toxic is a local business that sources ingredients from local farms. Doesn't get much better than that.... Plus, the people are friendly and it is in a very accessible locale. Eat it there or get it go, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Awesome barbecue chicken ranch salad. I will be back again. Friendly staff, and great burgers also.

Outstanding. I had the burger, the buns are made fresh and you can really tell. The fries are great too. They are really nice people. I will be back for the wings.

I had a regular cheese burger and loved it! I like the local beef they used and the fresh bakery buns are delicious! They also use my favorite Portland organic ketchup. Next time I will have to try their wings!

My husband and I ordered take out and our order was wrong. We ordered two sliders and got one hamburger instead. If we lived closer we would have gone back to fix it. We also ordered wings. They were incredibly over cooked, way too crispy and really small. The fries tasted like they came from McDonalds and there was nothing special about the burger either. If I want wings I'll stick to Hot Mama's Wings.

I love my wings I mean who doesn't? We'll the guys and gals at Toxic Wings & Fries have a great selection of sauces to choose from. The service was the best I've had at any restaurant in Eugene which is very rare for this town. The wings were perfectly crisp and mouth watering. The big burgers are AWSOME! I can't edit to go back for more!!!

I ordered the 5 boneless wings and fries. With a fountain drink the meal was about $9. Not terrible for a wing place especially when you consider the BWW costs approximately the same but don't use as high quality ingredients. The chicken was dry rubbed and thinly breaded but only barely, enough to make a crust. The chicken was obviously hand cut. When you peel it in half bright white chicken pops out, it's great before you even dip it. I got the toxic sauce on my first trip because I like the challenge of extreme spice. It was hot but not break out in sweat and tears hot, that could be a plus or a minus depending in your personal tastes. The fries are slightly thicker than mcDs and also very good, they are not hand cut FYI, but I don't care. It was filling and I ended up bringing some home because you can't let this deliciousness go to waste. It's just around the corner from my place so no need to travel anywhere else for wings anymore.

Nailed it. Simple and fantastic with high quality ingredients. Loved the wings, sauces were creative AND I saved the best for last: sweet potato fries! Plenty of outside seating. Additionally, it was very clean With lovely service. I wish them great success. One more thing - the organic ketchup from Portland was fantastic.

Omg, so delicious. Don't mess around with any other wing place. Had the pineapple jerk and sweet bbq sauce, THEN had sweet potato fries AND sweet tea. I thought I died and gone to heaven. Sign up for the rewards too. You'll be back!

I am a wing snob and a foodie. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! They have custom wing sauces, which run from very mild to burning hot. The chicken is also a custom creation. If you are after a great local burger and wing joint, give them a try. The staff is clean and friendly. The dining area has a TV with sports and they have local beers on draft. I take my family here all the time. :) JB

Easily the best wings I have ever had. Great service. Would be great to enjoy their patio on a sunny day. They have a dining room as well though. Absolutely delicious wings and super friendly service. You can tell that they really pay attention to details!

If you want wings, burgers, or fries, this is the place. If you want the same wings you can get at any old place, you better stick to your norm. Cuz these wings are dry rubbed and smoked to perfection. They come dry, and you cn dip them in your sauce to your liking. If you don't want to control your sauce levels go somewhere that they choose for you. These people care about good food and want to make YOU happy. I never ever go for bone in wings anywhere else. They're messy as hell and you never know if they will smother them to perfection or give you the tiniest amount of sauce you've ever seen. So normally I go for the bone in (usually same problem on sauce but without the mess lol). This is the only place I will order the bone in wings. This place gives you sauce on the side so you can use as much or as lil as you like. Without the mess. (unless you're a messy eater). The bone in are so good though they don't even need the sauce. The sauces are incredible though. I am a spice nut! And unfortunately they do not (as of yet, but it's in the works I'm told) have a sauce that is spicy enough for me. So I go for flavor and this place has it in spades, Maple chili, garlic parmesan and Raspberry habenero to name a few. Now don't get me wrong the boneless are great too but damn are the bone in incredible. The grass fed burgers are to die for. Tasty, perfectly cooked beef, with fresh crisp veggies on a locally made bun! The bacon is the perfect amount of crispy without being remotely burnt. And the fries are awesome. I love that they don't come caked in salt like fast food joints. This place even uses organic ketchup! By no means is this a health nuts meal but if you're gonna be bad then you might as well have top notch ingredients. The Tuesday special is the Brisket fries! And these babies go fast! If you want the same old "I can buy it at wal mart and cook it at home", go somewhere else. If you want quality ingredients cooked to perfection with top notch sauces, without the extra salt, fats, and other god awful additives in the others guys food, GO TO TOXIC!!!!

Great wings. No breading, lightly seasoned and lots of sauce options. Shop is small but clean and well run. Good sweet potato fries too. Little touches like bendy straws and stevia to sweeten drinks were nice as well. Best wings of any I've had in Eugene.

  • Chris N.

I enjoyed my first visit to Toxic; they use quality ingredients and care about their end product. My chicken was perfect and I liked that I could dip mine in wonderful spicy-sweet raspberry habenero and my wife could try it bland. My wife's burger was a little bland for me and good for her. Overall the prices are a smidge high for burgers and wings, but the quality is there. I will be back.

We went back for a second time because I got a coupon for a free cheese or hamburger for my bday. The first time we went the wings were a little over done, so we requested them to be less over done, the girl said no problem. Well the cook obviously didn't read or follow thru with the request. The wings were even more over done than the first time and the wings seemed to be even smaller than the last time. I also requested that I have the mayo on the side. Didn't happen. The burger was tiny. Big little burger puts out a better burger even if they are little, this one was just ok. It was free, but it wasn't the rave that people were raving about. On that note, we won't be back. Go to Hot Mamas Wings instead for wings and burgers!

My parents told me for weeks that I had to come try the wings and when I finally did I was pleasantly surprised! They have great burgers and fries and the wings are really good! The dry rub is different and takes a minute to get adjusted to but when you do it's a great way to do wings! They have a huge selection of dipping sauces and the food is consistently great. Wonderful customer service and a fun atmosphere, definitely worth a try!

So happy to have a place like this up on River Rd.! The wings themselves are fabulous, they are crispy and the quality of the chicken seems top notch. I got the apricot chipotle sauce and it was yummy! I will definitely be back. Update: Still love this place but just wanted to add that the customer service is truly special. The owner regularly comes out to chat with my husband and I when we are there. Tonight when I ordered some wings for dinner, I had a husky voice over the phone and mentioned that I was sick. When I went to pick up my order, they had thrown in some soup for me. It just totally made my night and was as delicious as all their items. Thanks guys!

So...I'm a cheeseburger snob. I had a cheeseburger craving last night and this place went above and beyond. Not only was my cheeseburger so perfect that it was almost offensive, it was half the price of an equivalent Five Guys burger and it came with fries! Crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside and hot out of the fryer. And the wings......holy god the wings. They were smoky, delicious little bites of awesome that didn't even require sauce. But if you're a sauce fan, they have many different kinds including an awesome honey sriracha sauce. Everything was perfect and the staff was friendly and fast. I will certainly be back.

So we've been waiting forever to get to try toxic wings, since our only day we really have time to eat out is Sunday and they aren't open:/ Anyways... Saturday before the Duck game we thought we'd give it a go! We ordered 36 wings and got to pick 6 sauces. Sounded like a great idea..being our first time here we had no idea there was an option to have them tossed or not (and weren't given a choice:( so we picked out our sauces, we went with burn, raspberry chipotle, pinapple jerk, sweet bbq and 2 parmesan garlics. When we received our wings and our little bag of sauce I was a little confused by how small the sauce bag was so I opened it up to check it out...the sauce cups were maybe 2oz in size but definitely had no more than an oz of sauce in them. I asked the girl if I was really suppose to be able to coat 6 wings with that amount of sauce?!? Her reply was "well you can buy more sauce for .50 cents" really?!?I also asked her for a few ranches and a couple blue cheese and she gave me 1 of each. For 36 wings!!! I paid a dollar a wing with sauce and your not going to accommodate enough sauce to cover the wings?! So not very happy we left with our wings.. we had a Duck game to watch! At first site of the wings I wasn't very impressed, some of the drums were so little you could see bone out both ends:/ welp this is dinner so I tried to make the best of it.. I got out bowls to toss the wings and started with the parmesan garlic for the kiddos.. now remember I got 2 of those, I literally got 6 wings tossed with both of the sauces! The other sauces coated 3 wings each... thankfully I had a bottle of franks for the remaining wings! While the smoke flavor was decent on the plain wings, I'm not too sure it accommodates all the sauces?! ( each to their own on that) but let's talk sauces...burn..not too bad maybe a little warmer than regular franks, raspberry chipotle. .okay, a nice little bite, pinapple jerk.. gross, it's like apple butter jelly not good on a wing, sweet bbq.. equals sweet baby rays and garlic parmesan.. was just okay! Needless to say my first experience was not a good one:(

Best wings in EUG, PERIOD! Owned and run by a local family (...including two, very respectful teenage boys) who not only understand good service... THEY PRACTICE IT! Restores my hope for the future! Better-than-fair pricing, this is the only place I will go for wings from this point forward! You will not be disappointed! :)

I have mixed emotions on my stars. Not for service, or anything like that but you see I am a wing nut and these are good and crispy wings that have a different flavor than most places due to the fact that they are smoked but I how ever may not have picked the right flavor of wing sauce? The consistency of the sauce looked icky to me too. I was also kind of surprised not to find a sweet chili sauce. Most wing places have one, or something similar. Anyhow I did like how crispy they were. That rocked! The smokey flavor was great! The French fries are really good! And I stole a bite of the boneless from my not so little kid and it was actually really good!!!! The burgers look amazing I would order one, and I don't like to order them often. I also want to come back and get the pulled pork fries. So I hope my next visit I choose the right sauce. I didn't take a picture because there is already enough great pics of the same thing. P.S I love the patio furniture it rules!!!! Ok so I took home 4 wings and tried the sweet chili garlic sauce that I normally really love on my home made wings, I have got to say it was a miss. I did not like the flavor at all. I think I don't like the flavor of them smoked. The boneless I thought was better. Sorry toxic wings. I wanted to love you! :-(

The way they smoke the wings fully then fry them?? Hello tastebuds!! Great place to stop in for an affordable tasty lunch. The wings are different than you will have anywhere else. I also had a buffalo burger that was excellent. Great service, great food

Tried the Toxic Burger today. Their burgers are just as good as their wings! I went at lunch time, and while they were busy, I still got my order in about 5-6 minutes. Burger was hot, bun and condiments tasted fresh. The fries were nice and crisp! A great meal for less than $9. And, the employees are super friendly!

What a great find! I don't often venture out to West Eugene, but this place is worth it. My chicken salad was made with spinach and other non-iceberg greens, sliced chicken breast and fresh toppings. (A real find for $5)! My wings were perfect- crispy but not overdone, and had great flavor even without sauce! I really appreciated the staff making sure I found what I wanted and checking in. I'll be back!

Great wings, great burgers, truly excellent fries. The burgers are grass-fed beef, the buns are made by the bakery around the corner. Great prices too. An extremely welcome addition to the lackluster food scene in River Road neighborhood.

For our first try, we found the sweet potato fries to be delicious. We also had the wings with the raspberry habanero and the coconut curry sauce. I think I would prefer the wings to be tossed with the sauce however it was quite good dipping. I will definitely try more of their menu.

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place! These wings are the BEST. Not only are the wings great, but their boneless wings and burgers are tasty, too! I don't often go to a wing place and buy a burger, but Toxic's burgers are too good to pass up! That with their fair pricing, it's a no-brainer. I eat here at least weekly. Good thing they have a loyalty program! ;)

Delicious! We went in this afternoon and the customer service and food was amazing. We had a dog waiting outside with us and the server even brought out some water for our dog without us ever having to ask.

If you haven't been here yet, take the plunge and go! The wings are delicious bone in or bone out. They have a sauce that will fit everyones needs and their fries are pretty damn good too! Everyone who works their is so nice and extremely tenitive.

It's ok, but should be more than one $($) if you have a dinner-sized meal. The sauces weren't that hot and they charge for extra sauce. It's worth a try i guess if it's close to you. Service was decent.

I am not a resident of the greater Eugene Metroplex, however I do come down here pretty often to visit my Big Shot Nephew and his well above average family. He has been talking up Toxic Wings for months now so when I knew I was coming down we already knew where lunch was going to be. I wouldn't say I am the authority on buffalo wings but I do love them and I will go way out of my way to find good ones. Toxic does a great job of smoking the wings first, then frying them. Yes, you do lose a little of the smoky flavor in the frying process but smoking chicken gives it a rubbery skin, so this makes for a crispy wing. The sauces are plentiful, many choices from classic to exotic, from mild to mind blowing hot and I was even told there is an off the menu hotter sauce. No thanks. I went with Frank's Medium, a traditional Buffalo Wing and at the behest of the Nephew I tried the Chili Maple Lime which was darn tasty. 12 wings and an order of fries was enough to fill me up. Fries were excellent. It's a small joint, limited parking in the lot and a little off the beaten path on River Road but on this beautiful 80 degree day we opted to eat outside on the patio. The benches have umbrellas in case the sun gets intense. The napkin holders are cool, they look like old time Coke machines. The staff was exceptionally nice and service was quick. Bathrooms were clean. Handicapped access is unfortunate here, the parking lot is very rough if you are on a knee scooter, walker or wheelchair. There are two handicapped spots next to the building. The layout in the restaurant is challenging but not impossible. Unfortunately for handicapped access I have to give them a D+. If the landowner would pave the lot it would be a B.

Very good wings, much better than the average. Lots of sauces to choose from. They're served as dry wings; sauces are for dipping. Interior decor is clean with bright colors. Reminds me of Tucker's Onion Burgers in OKC (another, distant, local favorite). Outdoor seating looks decent. Nice folks running the place. I think this is among the best chicken wing joints in town, and after reading the Yelp reviews, now I'm excited to try the burgers!

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place. We are glad we tried it but we won't be eating here again. First, we ordered over the phone to pick up and eat at home. They told us 15 minutes but it ended up being 30 minutes and we had to wait in the store. My husband got the chicken wings with two sauces. He said the sauces were good but the wings were "the size of Cornish game hens". My boneless wings were a good size but would rather have them covered in the sauce. For the price I would expect better food. There are much better wing places locally.

Excellent burgers. I always get the double bacon with fries. Very affordable. As cheap as a fast food place, but twice as good. I haven't had the wings yet, but I'm sure they're excellent. They smoke the wings before frying them. Plenty of choices of sauces. The owners are very nice. I definitely recommend this place.

Burgers were one of the better ones in town, albeit a bit thin for a single. Go for a double patty. My friend and I shared some wings and split a burger. We ended up getting another burger because the first was so good, but not very filling. The buns are by far the best I've had in town and made in house. Brioche, I believe, painted with butter. We loved the wing sauces we chose (pineapple jerk, chili maple line, and Frank's medium). The pineapple jerk won out as the favorite. It is listed as medium hot but we didn't think it was spicy at all. For us, this was just fine, but if someone had wanted spicier, they may have been disappointed. They were out of coconut curry, which a couple people asked for and I heard the recipe is being changed. Also out of a couple beverage options. The wings themselves were pretty small and I've had much bigger for the same price or less at a sports bar in west Eugene. Service was very friendly and attentive though. Much more so than I expected for this type of restaurant where you order at the counter and food is brought to your table. The outside eating area is clean, nice, and comfortable. I will return for the burger for sure, and will consider the wings but it'd be nice to see them use a larger wing. I know they're wings and therefore smaller than other pieces, but there is some room for improvement on that still.

Very disappointed. Had been here a few months ago and it was amazing. Back and the burgers have shrunk a lot. My pickle slice was thicker than the burger and the bun was about 2 inches altogether, not the right balance at all. Bun is great, but it needs to be proportionate to burger, although this burger was just ridiculous, especially for the price, couldn't even taste the burger. Last time wings were perfectly cooked and great seasoning, didn't even need a sauce. This time dried out and bland. I would never order a burger again and prob won't be back.

This place is delicious and clean. Lots of young kids working but they are friendly enough. The sliders and burgers are great. I wish they offered to toss the wings in sauce. But that's just me. They have outdoor seating, they serve beer and Portland Ketchup. Hop Valley is on tap, nice touch. No A/C was kind of a bust, it's been hot lately and a/c is a must with our little one sometimes, but they are quick with to go orders.

This place's name belies the quality of food here: Superbly chosen beef and chicken, cooked amazingly (smoked wings!) and a wide selection of sauces. The outdoor seating is really nice, and indoor seating will do just fine. And they have beer. I can't comment on the boneless wings, but the bone-in are so tasty I had to order another basket. Their burger is delicious as well, and the first time I had one, I went back the next day for another. I have yet to try their specials, but they regularly have brisket and cheese steaks (if you get there early enough). I'd give this place 5 stars if I could count on getting their specials when I go for dinner after work, and if they had a more robust beer selection. I hope this place can kick-start a river road food revolution. Thanks for making great food!

4 stars is generous considering we only tried two items. The hamburger got raves so we tried that and of course the wings. The hamburger was good but the burger was way to thin so the good flavor of the quality meat didn't quite stand out as much as it should. The fries were awesome. The wings on the other hand were perfect in my opinion. Perfect texture, perfect hint of smoke, and dry just like I like them. I had the Franks Hot and the Raspberry Habanero sauces. Franks Hot is Franks Hot, I already know I like it. The Raspberry Habanero was amazing and a great compliment to the wings. I will be going back for more wings and a try of whatever the special is that day. We were really disappointed we didn't try the Philly cheese that was offered.

Make it a double. Burgers are great but small. You can add a patty for a dollar more. This is a must. Fries a good. Sauces are fun. However the worst thing about this place is the wings. They use an over seasoned dry rub with a heavy amount of thyme. Thyme is not nutral flavor and it does not pair well with most of their sauces. If the consept is a dry wing that I dip in all of these inventive original sauces then make the wing seasoning more natural so I can enjoy all your sauces with them. I left dissapointed. I'll go back for the burgers but I'll pass on the wings until that dry rubbed is tonned down.

Wings are simple, cheap food, but sometimes nothing else will do. DLW and I were in just such a mood one Friday night, so we checked this place out. There is little atmosphere to speak of, just a strip mall looking out on River Road and a couple of tables outside adding a dozen seats to the 30 or so inside. A generic counter service and bus yourself system is to be expected in a wings place. But all that really matters in this game is the food. We had a nightly special of 8 wings with fries, and a cheeseburger. The wings were nicely crisp and hot out of the fryer, so much so that we needed to wait a minute before eating them. The classic sauce was straight Frank's, no butter added, which is not usually DLW's preference, but she liked these as much as any we've had in town. A very large serving of fries was enough for both of us to share, so I didn't bother to get one with the cheeseburger, which was perfectly fine but nothing I would have to order again. Prices are very reasonable, and they have a TV and beer on tap. If you don't like bars, this would be a good place to take in a game.

My favorite wings in town! Many sauce options, I am a sucker for the classic Franks RedHot. Both Bone-in and Bone-out are huge wings, perfect crispy-ness, and good quality meat. Their salads and burgers are also delicious. I gotta admit I crave Toxic Wings all the time now, especially on Sundays when they are close, which is the only negative about Toxic I can think of. They even have a few local IPA's on tap! And endless Sweet Tea! I recommend browsing through the thrift store next door while you wait for your wings to cook. Also a great Eugene find. Cheers!

Really good wings!!! The staff was very nice and the fries are good too. I was up in Oregon for orientation (UO college) and wanted to try a wing place. I will definitely go back when I'm up there. Would be great to watch games!!

I'm honestly not a big fan of wings. I came hoping for the brisket fries I saw on Instagram, but they only have those on Tuesdays, so I opted for wings. I got 10 boneless wings, because I figured that was a reasonable number, wrong. The wings are huge. I could only eat 5 and a half. They aren't breaded which was a good change. The meat was tender, with a somewhat crispy outside. What really won me over was the fact that there was no gristle in the meat, that's usually why I avoid wings. They put the sauces on the side, which is a lot less messy and allows you to taste the seasoning on the wings by themselves. I got Frank's medium, which I really enjoyed, and lemon pepper, which could have used more lemon. All and all I was more than satisfied with the wings and how light on the stomach and high quality they were, they weren't just cheap chicken and greasy breading. And if the chicken is like the beef they use on the burgers, it is local, free-range, grass-fed. The fries were good normal fries, could use some canjun seasoning, but all fries could. If the brisket is as good as I am hoping, the fries will serve as a superb bedding. They offered me some ketchup and i turned it down, which i now regret, because she made it sound better than normal ketchup. I guess i'll find out when i go back for the brisket fries!

I loved Toxic Wings. I used to come here for my burger fix. Then on a recent visit, I ordered to-go (double-cheeseburger is what I normally order), got home to unwrap and enjoy all that (normally) delicious burger goodness and my bite included a strand of hair in the patty. You'd think I'd be grossed out (well, I was but wait...) but knowing that Toxic had that delicious burger goodness I always craved, I let that first bite slide by and was still hopeful. Second bite. This time, a "clump" of hair. Not one strand, not two, but several strands, therefore a "clump." I couldn't take it. I was willing to forgive one strand, I understand anybody can have an off day. A clump was too much to take. I haven't been back since. I'm disappointed, frustrated because I love this place but I just couldn't stomach coming back. Maybe someday I'll be back. Not yet.

Once I got past the name, I was totally delighted by this wonderful establishment. It's located in the former Burrito Boy location on River Rd. The new owners completely remodeled the space. These new digs include a large Flatscreen TV and a wonderfully remodeled outdoor seating area. This place is creative, fresh and clean. The folks here are extra nice and accommodating. Their sign says wings and fries, but I really think their burgers are something special. These are far from the usual factory burgers that most places have. They are handmade from local grass fed beef and they come on custom-made buns that even have their logo pressed into them. The fries, regular and sweet potato, are also handmade and can be ordered crispier if that's your taste. This is definitely my new place for burgers in the hood. Oh, and they have super hot sauce and they're working on even hotter sauce for those who like the fire.

I've been curious about this place since it move in. I was impressed with the way they cleaned up their store front and greatly increased their curb appeal by constructing very nice outdoor furniture on the spot. I went for the wings but ordered the burger instead. My dining partner ordered the wings. And, this is where they lost one star. I asked the cashier if their burgers were prepared with fresh meat or a frozen patty. I was told they source their grass-fed meat from a local farmer and they purchase the entire cow. The patty is 1/5th pound and pressed thin for quick cooking. Still did not answer my question. I'm going to assume that the patty was frozen. How can anyone keep a whole cow fresh? The burger was good (single, less than $4) even with the organic Ketchup, organic Mustard (although I don't usually put k/m on my burgers) and organic Mayo. I'm pretty sure the lettuce and tomato was also organic. The bun was hearty and made in house, (would have held up to a bigger meat patty--hint hint!) In case you are contemplating adding fries with your burger -- SKIP 'EM. They give you a huge portion (enough to serve 4 diners) that came from the freezer. I find it a bit insulting that a restaurateur would put so much energy into promoting their special burger or bun or wings and then skimp on the most loved burger side dish. OH! And the wings were very good but the "Spicy BBQ" sauce was not spicy.

Nice place. Wings are well cooked. It has a wide range varieties of sauces to choose from. More importantly, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us 5 more sauces for free.

The newest wing place place in town and the only in the river road vicinity. Driving in late at night seemed a little sketchy but it ended up not being to bad. At first the prices seem not so bad. We ordered the 24 wings for 22.99$ but then soon realized at nearly a dollar a wing we were paying premium prices for wings that were some of the smallest I have seen at any establishment in town. These are even smaller than the hot mama's antibiotic and hormone free chicken. These wings were smoked then fried which was pretty good and I like the concept. Just lacking in size. The basket of fries we ordered for 3 dollars were cheap but not the best I have had. A little salt could go a long ways but it wouldn't stick to the fries after we got them. Someone at my party ordered a burger that looked good but the patty was way undercooked and almost rare. The burger prices seemed very reasonable compared to the chicken. I tried 4 sauces. Apricot Chipotle -- b Garlic parm. -- c + Sweet bbq. -- c Pesto ranch. -- d The seating had a cheap feel to it inside a small establishment but the tv for sports was on point and pretty large for the size of the room. Service was very courteous and nice. Consisted of high school to college aged kids on a Friday night. I'd go back, but not on par with chicken bonz and hot mama's. I would much rather pay a bit more but get larger wings.

Okay, it's the new wing joint, so I had to start with the classic: bone-in wings with Frank's Red Hot Sauce. The meat was tasty. They dry-rub the wings and smoke them. Nice touch. Every other plate of wings I've had in my life has been tossed in the sauce, served a sticky mess that tells you you're about to indulge in a plate of hot wings. Here, they've decided to reinvent the wing, for what reason I don't know. They are served with a small portion cup of your choice of sauce for dipping next to a small portion cup of ranch or blue cheese. Here's the real rub: these were the tiniest chicken wings I've ever seen for sale in a restaurant or supermarket. Like, I didn't know they come this small. Like, I was embarrassed on their behalf for serving such a teensy product. Hubby ordered the burger and fries. Hamburger was pretty good, not overcooked. It was served with lots of veggies, like I like it. Fries, not so good. They were pretty average to begin with but were also missing any salt. Everyone's were. By the time we were served, I headed to the counter for a shaker and back, the crystals just bounced off the cooled fries. A place called Toxic Wings & Fries served us some pretty bland French fries. The staff were really friendly, including the woman at the counter who explained what comes on the burger and how the sauce-o-mometer works without us asking. Prices are right on. Six wings are $5.99 and a hamburger runs $3.95, $5.45 with fries. I feel like Toxic is on to something good, something that could really be improved with a few different choices.

Just heard about this place today, everyone I've talked to had good things to say. It was pretty tasty! I ordered a simple 11 wings, the curry sauce and the Apricot chipotle with a sweet tea. The boyfriend got the wing/ fries option, a slider and a soda. The wing flavor was petty darn good on it's own, for me the sauce kind of took away from that. I wasn't a huge fan of the curry. The apricot chipotle was better. They do have a HUGE selection though and I wish I had gone for a spicier option but that's just my personal preference. I know a little better now how they rate their spiciness. The Bone-in wings blow the boneless wings out of the water flavor wise. The fries were pretty good but the fact that they hand make their ketchup definitely adds something to them. The slider was perfect. Next time I'll definitely opt for a burger. We both ended up being hungry again about an hour after we ate. Total order cost for 2 about $30.00

Excellent Wings & Burgers! Nice patio seating, local brews on tap, organic burgers and delicious wings (so much better than those restaurant chains). I've heard stories of the brisket fries but they're only served on Tuesday.. Sad face.

Best wings I've had in eugene, smoked then fried, and their burgers are just as good. Yes to double bacon cheese with fried onion strings. I haven't had a bad experience yet!

Clean. Kinda new. We ate here all summer. The wings come dry with a vast array of dipping sauces on the side, but you can ask that they hand toss them. Their burgers are REALLY GOOD! I normally get 6 wings and a burger (no fries), in a tiny effort to watch my calorie count. Or their ranch chicken salad is perfect! Very small place. Not for large parties. But great fresh food!

Wings don't seem to be an Oregon thing. Sorta like BBQ, they're very common in the local area, but without fail, miss the mark by a wide margin. Maybe kinda almost not anymore, though? Maybe? Toxic Wings is the only place I've encountered in the area that gets right the most critical elements to good wings: crispy skins on wings that are not overcooked and not slathered in sauce. Hooray!! I have mixed feelings about the smoking, though. It's certainly a novel approach, but the smoke flavor is fairly strong and doesn't mix well with many of their sauces. I really enjoyed the smokey flavor on a few of the wings I ate plain, and I suspect it would compliment any style of bbq, sauce - but with parmesan garlic? Noooo. Not even, really, with straight up hot sauce. Their menu would improve exponentially with the addition of smoking as an *option*, as opposed to a requirement. Other notes on the wings: decent quality wings, not huge for the price, but not dainty, either. Some were missing big chunks of meat, which was unfortunate, but not a huge deal. Burger was tasty, priced right, cooked medium rare [applause]. Chilli Cheese fries were decent. Service was superb for a counter-ordering place in Eugene.

The food was good. I like to local aspect they take to their menu, but I wasn't super impressed with the wings they were OK I just expected more from the reviews I saw. Easily better than every delivery pizza places wings but not quite up to par with what I thought a wing specialty place should be.

Hard to add anything to the other positive reviews. Went simple with just a couple of cheeseburgers and fries. The staff was very friendly and the establishment was clean. They have really found a niche environment doing just a few menu items very well indeed. I will definitely go back again.

My daughter brought me here. I am so glad we came... The wings are the best in town! Beasts out any chains or other local wing joints. I had the habanero raspberry sauce and it is hot and sweet. The wings are smoked over night then fried lightly before serving.

This place is one of the only restaurants that still shows amazing service an also serve some of the best brisket fries around!!! I recommend Toxic to anyone that is new to the area because the staff there truly cares about the quality of there product an again back it up with some heart felt quality service!!!

Yummm...is all I think of this place. Their wings are perfect, wonderful sauces, and burger are awesome! I have found my wings home. So glad they are close to where I live. Even more awesome they have a point card. So I get paid back to spend money there. Love it. The people that work they're rock too. Thanks guys! Fries could be spruced up a little, but no big deal. Love them!

Have eaten here twice in the 2 weeks they have been open so, that in itself should say something. The first time we had the wings to go. I only got boneless wings and fries and they were very good. The wings come "dry" as compared to other places that toss them in the sauce before serving. This is a much cleaner option to eat but I know some like their wings messy. With at least a dozen sauces ranging up the temperature gauge from mild to toxic, I am certain you can find one to your liking. The second time we rode our bikes and enjoyed the burgers on the lovely outdoor patio. I split a 3 slider combo plate with my 10 year old and my husband had a double cheese burger. The burgers were delicious! Toxic is a great addition to the River Road neighborhood and I can only imagine as summer progresses that patio will be full every night. Both times we ate there for 2 adults and a 10 year old the check was under $22 with drinks. Great value, great food and really nice people. Next time I want to try the brisket fries. They are only available right now one day a week.

I had a delicious burger that held together until the last bite! Gotta love a strong bun. Super yummy veggie salad as well, that was also a great size for just a half order. The inside is was kept clean, and everyone was very attentive. Another plus is the local cheap beer. Totally coming back. Staff was very friendly, and service was fast. They are right off the bike path so it's super nice to come here by bike. Also I like that I can stare at my bike while I eat, makes me calm while I finish my beer. Great pieces, quality food and super nice staff!!!

Just had 5 boneless wings and they were amazing! Love the ketchup for the fries as well. Sauces were excellent. Molly provided great customer service at the tables. She came around to everyone quite a few times and asked if they needed anything. The younger gentleman at the counter was really helpful too. Nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

:) JB

Just tried this place and it's great! I personally would rather have the sauce on my wings versus how they serve them dry but I got used to it. The hottest sauce they have does have a lil kick to it but not the fire I was lookN for but still good n zippy!

I LOVE wings and had high hopes for something so close to home but unfortunately it was not to be. I had read the reviews so I knew they were smoked but I guess I didn't realize it would make such a difference. I opted for the lemon pepper sauce. The wings were crispy & crunchy which I liked, but I felt like I was eating a turkey leg from the taste and the sauce was flavorless. I had leftovers I tried at home with buffalo hot sauce but couldn't cover the strong smoky flavor. If that's your thing I think you'll enjoy them.

It's ok, but should be more than one $($) if you have a dinner-sized meal. The sauces weren't that hot and they charge for extra sauce. It's worth a try i guess if it's close to you. Service was decent.
