Great dive bar and my usual stop after work. Now with Imperial IPA on tap!

Great food and atmosphere. Especially enjoy the wraps, salads, soups, and jalapeño poppers. Burgers seemed -meh, like a small frozen patty, nothing special Clean establishment and courteous staff. Near campus, so can get busy, but seems to draw mixed age demographic. Parking lot is a bit odd, connects to busy one way streets so ppl use it as an ally and drive rather fast.

Two stars until the waitress got off shift and didn't mention it....then just one star. So let's see.... I had trouble finding anything that sounded decent on the menu. I persevered. I had a 25 dollar groupon and planned on using it. We ordered the aloha bowl, the pot stickers (with chili pepper dipping sauce and Asian slaw) and the chicken Skewers (with Asian slaw). This put us at 24.75. After some wait we are informed they are out of Asian slaw. I got egg drop soup and tots instead. The food is served...Wrong bowl but quickly remedied once pointed out (table swap), no spoon for the soup and no dipping sauce for pot stickers. Haven't seen the waitress since we were told about the lack of slaw. She's at the bar having a beer. Off duty. So what happens now? We are out of water and I was waiting patiently to ask her for soy sauce. Fill your own water and the bartender gets the soy sauce...duh. The bowl was cold. The potstickers were dry and the sauce tasted like sweet and sour. The skewer was just OK. Egg drop soup was Almost like chicken noodle ( had celery in it). No waitress ever took over for our table. Had to ask for the bill at the bar. Below average food and service was almost non existent. Regret.

Awesome outside seating area with tons of tvs to watch the games on. The service was a bit slow seeing as my big group went on game day, but they were friendly when we went in to find them to ask for things. I thought the drinks were fairly priced but the food was a bit overpriced for the quality. Overall not a bad game day stop.

I've been coming here for years. Until recently, the service was spectacular. However, over the last few weeks, with new staff, the service has greatly declined. Now, servers stop by tables less frequently. Often pick up empty glasses without asking whether you want another drink, and regularly forget to bring your drink order. I'll be pardoning another establishment from now on.

I love this place. Great staff, great atmosphere. Food is good and great place to go on game day. Been coming to good times for years. Never a let down.

This place has became our new go to! Awesome food at a great place. The service is pretty good. One major highlight is the large outside area with heat and pool tables. Though there is smoking out their so that is not as cool, but as long as its not super busy its nice out there. This is defiantly a nice place to grab a beer after work with a friend. Not some place I'd want to "go hard" but def a place for cheat day ;) Also, they have a pretty epic Groupon, so check that out for sure!

It's about time for a re-review of this place!! Good Times continues to be our go-to destination for drinks and fun. Over the years, we've tried many, many other places and nothing has all the elements that we want like Good Times has. What we look for in a bar is: Great Service, Full Bar, Pool Tables, Decent Food (I never expect awesome food from bars), TV's, and plenty of (good) Beer on tap. We normally do the, "where do you wanna go?" thing, and we end up at Good Times because they know how to make my wife's drink better than anyone else can, I want a specific IPA that only they carry, and the kicker....we wanna shoot some stick! The food has changed over the years, but more recently they switched up their burgers, and for the good mind you! I had a Burger and Brew last week, and when I was done I had to ask what they did differently. They now make burgers out of fresh ground beef that they get every 3 weeks. They're seasoned and hand pressed. It makes ALLLLL the difference when you start using quality products. Service continues to be great here, the food has improved tremendously, and I can't wait to come down and watch a Duck game along with all the other crazy duck fans.

Super location with endless number of big screens. Service was a little light food was above average. Sunny afternoon patio was perfect!

Fun place! Great music, great employees! Yummy bar food! We each had a burger and fries - outstanding! I also got an Oregon rice bowl to take to work for lunch the next day and it was amazing! I'll definitely be back for food, beer, and pool! The name says it all... Good Times! :)

O good times, you are a good place to go with friends. I showed up on a Friday at 6 pm and was able to find a table and there is even happy hour at this time! Bar food is pretty solid and reasonably priced. Nothing will blow you away but its anything you can grab out of a fryer and burgers etc. Beer selection is good, my waiter wasn't very helpful at all though letting me know what they had on tap. Pool tables outside are awesome! TV's everywhere to watch the game. Try it out!

This is a great place to hang out, drink and meet locals. Outside most of the seating is at large communal tables surrounding two pool tables (smoking allowed). Inside the bar is big with over a dozen bar stools, another pool table and lots of table seating to eat. I really liked this place and will be back the next time I'm in Eugene.

Good Times is a sports bar. Nothing less, nothing more. On our way down to the coast for a long weekend, it was time to get some lunch and we decided to stop in Eugene. One friend had been here before. He knew where it was and we really didn't want to waste time looking for a place to eat. A few beers were ordered and the menu was perused. I decided on a French Dip. Not sure why. Can't say I was even in the mood for a French Dip, but I hadn't had one in a long time and wanted a burger or a wrap less. The menu is dominated by sandwiches. Your usual suspects. The meat on the sandwich was a bit dry. Guess that is what the au jus is for. Pretty inexpensive though at $6.25 so that lifted this sandwich up a bit. There is better food to be had in Eugene. It is a college town. If you are near here, you'll get a standard meal. If you want to explore around town more, the payoff should be better.

Dropped in to watch Giant/Dodger game. The bartender found the game I wanted and put it on the TV in front of my seat. Lunch was very good and not pricey. We will be back.

Great food and great staff! Nachos with chicken was hands down some of the best nachos ever. Totally loaded with everything! Happy hour food was of good variety as was the drinks.

A great place to watch football with some buddies during or after an Oregon Ducks football game. Great variety of beer selection.

Premise: if I hadn't found a feather (really f*cking weird find) in my sweet potato fries this would have been a solid four star rating. We went to Good Times tonight for the superbowl and it lived up to it's name. Great drinks specials and friendly service from the bar staff. $3 drop tops were consumed...$1 off for service industry folks on Sundays making them $2. Hell yeah for me! We ordered lunch, Jae had nachos and I had a southwestern burger with sweet potato fries. My entree was tasty (minus the mystery feather) and Jae enjoyed her nachos. Neither were extraordinary, just typical bar fare. We sat on the porch next to some heat lamps and yelled at the t.v. for a few hours. We made some new friends and "good times" were had by all. The bar was well staffed and even had folks taking orders and clearing unused food/drink stuff from the tables. My only complaints were the feather and the old t.v.s. I'll definitely be back.

Good times use to be a great place to hang out an grab some food after work, and a fun place to go on the weekends, now, it sucks. Went there for some drinks on a Sat night to celebrate my birthday and it was full of douche bags. Seriously, it was full of jersey shore, tight-shirt-Tuesday losers. Also, they gave my sisters credit card to another patron and then told her she never paid and made her pay again! The next morning, she checked her account and someone had taken her card to Davis's and purchase a number of other drinks around town! Great place if you are DTF and wear T-shirts 3 sizes too small and wish to have your credit card given to someone else....but for me, but it sucked, and I will not be going back.

The good news: The drinks were affordable and the pool table was fun. There was a lady giving away earrings that she made, which I found interesting. Staff seemed pretty friendly.... However. I am always leery of bars that have the faint aroma of puke. It was the strongest sitting at the bar close to the corner. Which makes sense if you think about it. Overall, I probably won't make plans to go here anytime soon.

Good times is a good time. People are friendly and the pool tables are outside. Wicked cool, also nice patio seating, heaters, and tv's all outside. Nice setup inside with a large tap selection. I'll be back!

Stopped by Good Times last night for a quick dinner. It's playoff time for the Blazers and the bar wasn't all that busy. Quite a few people out on the smoking deck and maybe 20 in the bar. We waited for ten minutes and was not approached by a waiter/waitress. We went to the bar, got menus, and then waited for a staff person to take our order. The waitress said that they were really busy (unless they were understaffed, it wasn't busy). Our food came out and it was OK. Not bad/nothing special. All in all, not some place that I need to go back to.

I've gone to Good Times on and off through the years. The drinks are cheap and the TV's are nice but the whole place feels filthy and shady! But there is one incident that will keep me from ever going back... some friends and I went there to sign up for a drawing to win Duck tickets, they said you had to be there to win and that the drawing was at 9. We got there at 8, entered the drawing, nine o'clock came and went and no announcement. We asked multiple bartenders, a couple said they didn't know anything about it and one said the drawing already happened. We were there until 9:30 and got no real answers from any bartenders or the bouncers. When we asked for the manager, or manager's email the employees claimed there was no manger there at the time and no one knew an email for them. SHADY!

I was there on a weeknight with an open tab, and the inept bar staff gave my debit card away to someone else. Like as in they let some drunk and/or fraud close my tab. It wasn't a particularly busy night, and the staff wasn't particularly apologetic about losing card. Not ever going back there...

If you don't head over to Good Times for any other reason, stop by for the house Ninkasi. If you can't figure out which beer that is (hint-the name of the bar) then you lose and should probably just try one of the many other beers they have on tap. The Good Times porch is awesome come spring and summer, but with the giant heat torches during the winter it's not so bad either. Less college students than other local bars, that's probably my favorite thing about Good Times. Good Times has League Pass too, so you can catch the Blazer games or any other NBA game there this season.

WOW this place has gone down hill. Quality of people who hang out there now is terrible. Place was filthy (and wasn't even half-packed, not hard to keep a place somewhat decent when you're not that busy), new bouncer there was EXTREMELY rude. Overall vibe was just depressing. Whenever I wanted to go out, this would be one of my go-to's, not anymore. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I know a lot of people that love Good Times, but for some reason I've never had a great time at Good Times, only a fairly good times. They do have a really nice outdoor porch area, and a few pool tables, and that is where the "vibe" is the best. Inside it's a bit of a dive.

Great vibe and friendly staff. April was very helpful and super friendly her recommendation of the Hammy was great! Great sports bar atmosphere, and great options for local and national draft beers. This place is great for a sports bar with pretty good bar food! Tap gives The Good Times 5 stars!!

Good bar to catch a Duck game. The place is crawling in flat screens, and it gets packed with sports fans. Stick with the beer. They don't pour drinks right. It's frustrating trying to get drunk off of cocktails while you watch them under-pour every time. It might help if they remember your face, but they're not helping my desire to return any. It's a good change-up bar. EDIT for Barfood: They have re-done their menu. The food is really good now. Southwest burger was delicious.

Good Times! Although they took my fake (they were notorious for busting people) I still love Good Times. I saw my friends bands Jibliminis, Nectar Way, Freedom Funk Ensemble play at this venue numerous times. The dance floor kicks ass!

I've been here a few times to my visits to Eugene... I like the place. Very nice bartenders, huge covered patio and for the most part a good atmosphere. It can get a little full of "dudes" & "bro's" on weekend nights, but still worth going.

Good times to say the least. I always find myself getting in trouble when I go here. Not with the law, but with myself in the morning after so many beers/drinks flowed while I played pool and chatted with friends outdoors. Bartenders tend to be slow, so I tip ahead of time. Also insures your getting a strong drink there. Food is good, bar food, but tasty. Have a great dance floor, good sound system and plenty of drunk people to join you in cutting a rug. Good times indeed!

need i say more? The Good Times was good times for sure. it was fun and kind of a cool place to visit. great micro brew selection, for anyone who likes beer. all around great dive.

Good Times is awesome! Kind of skeezy (depends on when you go...) but the drink selection is awesome, there's a lot of room, and outdoor pool! Plus its in a great location if you are doing a bar crawl between downtown bars and campus bars...

  • Jeff S.

Good Times is definately one of more unique bars in Eugene. The location (7th and High, right at the onramp to the Ferry Street Bridge) is the one thing that detracts from what is otherwise a refreshing change from the other bars in the downtown area. Perhaps its odd location is what attracts the different breed of bargoer, who knows. They have a great selection of mircrobrews, a large outdoor patio for the nicotine-needy, and plenty of serviceable pool tables. A great place to go out for several rounds with "the crew". The jukebox has a wide selection of cool tunes that covers most of the stuff I like to hear when I am out drinking. You can tell a lot about a bar and its customers by what's available on the jukebox. :D

  • Adrienne M.

I've had many fond memories at this bar. The smiley faced clock welcomes you in from the Ferry St. Bridge like a beacon of hope (perhaps a slight exaggeration). It's that quintessential Eugene mix of old hippies, students and just about everyone else between. I love the jukebox, even though it's underutilized by jocks with no appreciation for good music who insist upon playing every Dave Matthews Band song known to man or Eminem. Okay, I realize I have just offended the entire population of 18-34 year olds in Eugene, but so be it. We used to have a tradition of going here every Christmas night as it's one of the few bars open on Christmas. One Christmas, my friend Carrie and I took it upon ourselves to dance on the empty stage in our socks trying to perfect the c-walk to Portishead. That's the kind of place it is and I love it!

yeah, you can find some pretty good times here. i remember stumbling in here one night at random and finding myself listening to big brother and the holding company, live, and completely unexpected. toots and the maytals played here when they came through town, as well as dave matthews, back before he hit it big time. it was an intimate space, and usually eclectic crowd. I hope it still is.
