Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Went to this location Sy's Pizza off River Rd. last week on Monday at 6:00 as I had heard they have great pizza. Someone was sadly mistaken. Not only were they completely "out"of the sicilian style crust (the only option was their regular thin crust) it was awful and extremely overpriced! I will eat Papa Johns or Little Ceasers before I will go back to this place. The pizza was soggy and the restaurant itself was filthy. It looked as tho the floor hadn't been mopped in months. The restroom was dirty and out of paper towels. i can't believe people pay these high prices for such poor quality.

Boo! This is not at all the same quality as the campus Sy's location. I'm in this area regularly and have had a slice from this Sy's maybe 6 times over the past few months. The pizza here reminds me of the opening scene from "Louie" where he is walking through the streets of NY, stops in a place, and appears to eat a half-slice of pizza, standing, and chucks the rest while never breaking his stride. It's good enough to fulfill that deep-depressed-HateMyselfInhalePizza mode, but not for anything else. Cheese is rubbery and too thick, crust doesn't crunch, even though it's across the street from a high school the pizza seems like it's been sitting around too long even after going into the oven. Meh, disappointing. If they changed the storefront name, nobody would ever suspect this Sy's to be associated with the original.

Everyone in our family loves Sy's pizza. The crust is fabulous! We've tried lots of other Eugene pizzas but Sy's is the best.

Pros: Best pizza in town. Cons: Poor delivery service that stops delivering whenever they feel like it and without notice. No two nights are the same - 8pm one night and they might deliver, 8pm another night and they might not feel like delivering so they won't. Five star for pizza. One star for delivery.

I read a lot of reviews on this place and was super excited to try it. I called and ordered a deep dish sicilian half & half medium pizza along with some (tiny) garlic knots for $28+ & was sorely disapointed!! I thought at least for the expensive prices it would at least taste decent.. The garlic knots were ehhhh ok I guess, but not compared to Mezza Luna's - theirs are wayyyy bigger/better and tastier. The sucky thing is that I don't really like Mezza Luna's pizza; not a huge fan of thin crunchy pizza. I felt like i was in elementary school all over again eating the brick they called pizza on fridays. =/ I will prob never go back here - if i do I will only try the new york style slice & will fer sure not get a whole pizza again! Will I ever find delicious pizza in this town??

Not as down and dirty as the original location, but it's still yummy Sy's.....love it!

My favorite pizza in Eugene, granted there are a few places I have yet to try. I have noticed that this location tends to have slightly thicker pies than the one near campus. The one near campus is good but I usually end up feeling like their pies are too thin. This location has less atmosphere than the campus one but better pizza. I really like how Sy's minces their black olives. The pizza can be a little over the top greasy sometimes but that's what your napkin is for. Sizzle Pie has moved in downtown and while I do like their pizza I'd call it a not so distant second place to Sy's but similar in style. This location is rarely, if ever busy so the service is great and there is more room than at the campus one.

I didn't know pizza could be this good and I've had a lot of pizza in my life. Thank you, Sy's, for showing me the way.

So, I am new to the area, thought I would give a new pizza place a try. I give the pizza a 3, because it wasn't terrible, but it was not mind blowing either. The toppings were excellent, but the rest of the pizza was less terrific. The crust was underdone and there was no sauce on the doughy crust. Also, the phone etiquette was like talking to high school girls that were just dumped by the quarterback! Will give the downtown version a try because the ratings are much better than 55ths.

Sy's Pizza is closer to my work! Its awesome that Sy's now has a second location. Same Great PIzza and Service as the downtown location. Check out their lunch special too, a few slices and a soda for a good price, cheaper than a #3 at McDonalds and a whole lot more tasty. Be sure to get some Garlic Knots too! I also heard a rumor that they are getting their liquor license. Nothing is better than a good beer with good pizza!

When this pizza is good, it is really good. When its bad its really bad. Not sure why its so inconsistent, but everytime I pick up a pizza it looks like the person who made it is barely 16. I am sorry but teenagers don't make good pizza chefs, and the last pizza from there was inedible. Too much sauce, too many toppings to even pick up the pizza, and way too much canned garlic, just plopped all over it. Have you ever eaten spoonfuls of that, its an intense flavor, and that is just ignorant if you don't know that.

We paid $36.00 for a "deep dish" pizza that wasn't and a regular cheese pizza. Both were under-cooked and burned around the corners. The "garlic nuts" were not any better. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, Little Cesar is a serious competitor. New Yorkers would chase these people out of the neighborhood.
