It's a diner. Clean on the inside, very friendly service, very helpful on choosing our food. I had the Monday special for lunch, Meatloaf Sandwich. Normally Meatloaf Sandwich's are open face with gravy but this was an actual sandwich grilled with mayo. It was delicious. My wife had the philly steak. They wrapped the sandwich in paper and the bread got a little wilty but the ingredients were good. She loved the fries. She also bought a scarf they were selling for our daughter for Christmas. Ultimately it was good and we'll probably be back.

The 2 things that really get me vote for this place besides it being a ma and pa type of place (which I love) is that Mickie(spelling?) the server/cook is AWESOME and Marilyn Monroe is all over this place... We have now been here 3 times. The first time we were utterly disappointed. Way too high pricing for the tiny portions you get. We got broasted chicken and were thoroughly unimpressed with the size (TINY) as compared to places like Embers on 99. I got a cheesesteak because the waitress that night said that they piled on the meat -- uhhh I hardly think 4 oz meat is piling on. Mom got a french dip -- tough meat. Booooo Second time I got the Prime Time Burger -- while the 5 oz burger is normally a very small patty in my opinion it was cooked right and there were plenty of toppings once I added cheese and bacon. The fresh lettuce and tomatoes were fantastic and generous and the special sauce (similar to thousand island) was good. The french fries were cooked crisp once I asked for for them to be well done. Mom got a BLT and loved it -- it only had 4 pieces of thick bacon on it so not enough for my tastes but there were plenty of veggies again -- so it looked yummy. Dad got the reuben because in the picture for the Groupon we purchased it looked FANTASTIC. The reuben sandwich had one slice of meat on it. Yep you read that right. ONE SLICE. It was two narrower slices that covered the sandwich with ONE slice of meat. NOW in their defense dad said it had great flavor. I don't know -- I would probably go back because of the server/cook we had, Mickie, but only if I had a coupon.

Absolutely HUGE menu. Service was great, food was delicious & the drinks were reasonably priced but no great deals or anything. Best part of this place is definitely the amount of screens they have for watching games!

Just had the grilled Reuben sandwich w a side of fries. Corned beef was tender, plenty of kraut, sandwich came hot from the grill. Fries as good as McDonalds. Perfect diner food! Will try chicken fried steak next.

Three and a half stars, with benefit of the doubt. We went to Prime Time Diner for the first time today, on a Groupon. It's a little bit out of the way, but not too far from Beltline. The outside of the diner and its adjacent businesses (includes a coffee shop) looked strangely like an old Applebee's (dark red brick, dark green and red striping on the accents) though I'm certain there was never an Applebee's here. The diner itself is quite small and has a fairly typical diner interior with chairs and tables on one side (keno cards!) , and a bar/counter area on the other side. There are probably around 10 tables I'd say, no booths. The back area has slot machines. The menu consists mostly of burgers, deli sandwiches, specialty sandwiches and a breakfast menu: eggs, pancakes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, but no chicken fried steak which was disappointing to my husband. Their specials seem to be done by day. I recall Wednesdays being 'all you can eat spaghetti for $6' day, Monday I think is chicken fried steak day ($8 maybe? I wish it were on the menu every day. Saturdays are burgers and brew day, not sure what the other days were. My husband got the fish and chips, and I went for the grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of their special Tuscan soup. The description made it obvious this is an Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana copycat recipe. I make it myself at home, and the version at Prime Time Diner was great too. I do think they substituted cream with some kind of binding agent (a roux or some starch) to thicken it up a little bit. Excellent soup though. My grilled cheese was pretty average. Two slices of sandwich bread, maybe two slices of cheddar cheese. Not a particularly large or filling grilled cheese, but it tasted good. My husband's fish and chips were great. The fish looked very... well... flat like a fish stick, and it was deep fries. The flavor was just like beer battered fish sticks , and man do I love me some good fish sticks. Unfortunately, admitting this led to a very inappropriate joke from my husband.) The fish was 'real' though, as in: proper fish, not some weird fish-mash as you find in cheap fishsticks. The flavor was rich, salty, like a proper beer batter. Yum. Fries were average. The total for fish and chips, a grilled cheese and soup, a coffee and an iced tea came out to about $24 I think ($18 of which we paid with our groupon). Reasonably price. Not truly cheap, but pretty average. Service was excellent, and despite us coming in at 1pm (breakfast ended at noon), they were willing to cook us breakfast anyway! (we just ended up ordering different things) In short, I would probably rate this restaurant 2 or 3 stars for the food in comparison with most restaurants in town, but to be fair, I will rate this place exactly for what it is: a diner. And as far as diners go, it's a pretty decent place, and the fish really was the best fried fish I've eaten in town.

This place is okay. I guess the point is that you don't have to drive all the way in to town if you live way up Santa Clara, but you're likely to get a better breakfast with more choices for a little less at Shari's. The breakfast is straightforward fare, prepared like you're use to. I ordered the biscuits & gravy meal which came with eggs, choice of meat and hashbrowns. It was a lot of food. Eggs were cooked to order, gravy was good, biscuits were soft, ham was salty (as I like it) with a smoke flavor that seemed artificial. Hashbrowns were decently browned in a commercial, flavored oil known as "buttery". I guess the diner part comes in with the photos of Marilyn Monroe on either side of the Keno monitor. You can do a lot of gambling here if that's your thing. Service was very friendly, provided by what I guess is mom & son. Many of the people were greated by name, so this is probably a frequent stop for locals. If you want lunch or dinner, you should expect something between two slices of bread. Aside from the broasted chicken (what does that mean by the way?) - which can be ordered with up to 12 pieces, you can get "great burgers", "delicious deli sandwiches", "classic sandwiches" or "amazing hoagies". A lot on the menu here seems overpriced by about $1: the $9 Denver omelet, the $8.50 ham sandwich, the $8.25 bacon & eggs and the $8.75 hamburger, which jumps to $11.50 if you want a bacon cheeseburger. Also this is probably a weekend-only joint if you have to be at work at 8am like half the country because they don't open until 7:30.

The food was really good. Huge Portions! The server was excellent, and the food was delivered promptly. I had the Patty Melt, and it was one of the best ones I have ever had. My guest had the Halibut and Chips, and it was really good too. I would highly recommend this place. It has comfortable seating and is a great family restaurant.

Great, fast food. Favorite items were the BLT and breakfast burrito. They have a drive up coffee shack thats excellent. The ladies were always super friendly. We've recently moved and will miss driving by to grab morning skinny hazelnut lattes and occasional afternoon smoothie.
